I love this restaurant. Every time I come to London, I make sure to order in this delicious établissement.

Stopped in for an early dinner after a transatlantic flight. Excellent food.

Absolutely disgusting customer service, the workers are beyond rude , dismissive and disrespectful. Their deliver driver didn’t deliver to my home instead they uploaded a picture of food on the floor. I came to the restaurant with my children as when I called I was told there was nothing that they could do and I was hung up on. When I arrived at the restaurant the workers, continued to dismiss me and refused to refund the £60 spent. I have never experienced such disrespect from a restaurant, such bad manners and no apology.

A warm welcome, the food was very good, I enjoyed it. I took the menu for 1 person. The portions are quite big. Not being able to finish, they kindly made me doggy bag. I have plenty to make another meal Thank you Ahmed I highly recommend !!!

I was staying at the Pimlico Hub, which is situated above this restaurant. My son and I had dinner in the restaurant and were very happy with the food and the value for money.

This was by far the best Indian food I have had between Australian and here. So pleased. Akhmed (glasses man) and his team were brilliant.

Had a naga tikka lamb nasi biryani. Its the best biryani I have ever had in London so far! It's quite spicy though so make sure to order the medium spiciness even if you are good at chili. Well done to the team!

I was born in 1980 and for as long as I can remember there has been "Pimlico Tandoori" on Morton Street. I lived around the corner and on many occasions my mum would make me collect food from here. Given there are and have been a lot of Indian Restaurants in Pimlico you could say competition was fierce. I moved away from Pimlico 20 years ago and was so happy to see this restaurant still open and still maintaining its high standards. I hope it's family owned and I hope it is operated by the same family from 30 years ago. Either way the food was great, the service commendable. Many thanks to Khairul our server. Very friendly and quaint restaurant the way things used to be and should be.

Had a wonderful time at Pimlico Tandoori. Food was absolutely delicious and the service was quick and officiant. We ordered 2 portions of Tikka Masala, and Garlic Naan, highly recommend. To our lovely server Gupta, thank you for your amazing service. :)

Worst food experience, had been to this restaurant and I am very sorry to say that they server the worst Indian food ever. Bad staff with careless attitude and non edible food. Avoid going or eat home.

Nous avons decouvert ce restaurant à pimlico. La nourriture est très bonne. C est très copieux. Le personnel est très respectueux courtois et correct. Monsieur Gopta qui nous a servi était très gentil. Nous recommandons vivement. Ce restaurant est ouvert quasiment toute l' année. Nous y sommes retournes une deuxième fois lors de notre séjour c était très bien.

Nous y avons mangé en famille hier soir et nous nous sommes régalés, peu cher, repas délicieux et super service. Je recommande +++

We loved it. we came here in new year 2023 with no booking at 21:30 and they served us delicious indian food. Lovely food. We highly recomend this place!

Le repas était bon! mais nous n'avons pas compris la lourde addition!!!! Nous avons pris une entrée , 2 coca , 2 cheese nan , 2 Byriani poulet, 2 thé à la menthe en sachet. Selon la carte nous aurions dû payer 49 pounds mais le serveur nous a fait payer 67 pounds soit 20 euros de plus . 6.90 de service et 12.30 de taxe de Noël (soit disant car 25 décembre) vraiment pas correct car j'ai bien senti qu'il avait fais exprès de me cacher le ticket tout au long du paiement pour pas que j'insiste sur la vérification. Dommage je ne retournerai plus jamais chez eux.

We had a wonderful experience dining at Pimlico Tandoori. The service was excellent, food was delicious, and the atmosphere was pleasant. Highly recommend!

I found this place to be quite unwelcoming. A friend and I had booked a table for dinner and a catch up, but the staff seemed surprised and honestly a bit annoyed when I turned up, even though it was literally empty at that point. The food was alright, but the salty lassi was a bit lacking and didn't turn up until after we'd finished the meal.

Je pense que c’est la plus désagréable expérience de service que j’ai jamais vécu. Le patron froid et désagréable m’a presque retiré la carte des mains pendant la commande, apparemment il ne souhaitait pas que l’on commande à boire. Suite à son comportement, nous avons failli partir sur les champs. Les serveurs quant à eux sont cordiaux, présents sans être pressant et la nourriture est bonne. Pour finir le repas, le patron revient et essaye de nous faire sortir sans nous servir le café prévu dans le menu. Ça n’aurait pas été un manque, car en guise de café nous avons eu un genre d’américain à l’arrière goût de chicorée… que je n’ai pas fini.

I thought the food was great and the service prompt, kind, and courteous. If I’m in this part of London again I fully intend to stop by and have another meal here!

Poor service and waiters rude and unhelpful . Food portions are small, Kebab starter for example is small as your little finger a third of what one would expect.

Service was extremely poor and rude, worse if no alcoholic drinks were ordered. Portions are small and the contents (meat) very skimpy. We were not sure how they survive with that poor attitude to customers.

We have ordered from Pimlico Tandoori for a number of years having tried various Indian Restaurants in the same area. I can honestly say nothing comes close to Pimlico Tandoori with regards to the quality of the food and customer service received. I honestly couldn't fault it! Whenever ordering food I like to check the reviews and on occasions I have read a good review then been disappointed with the food...you won't have that problem with this restaurant the food really is that good and if you're struggling to decide what to order give the garlic chilli chicken a go!

This place never lets me down I have been eating here for years and the second along with the food is top notch best Indian restaurant in central London hands down.

This is our favorite place in Pimlico, food is always great. Service is good too, only issue is that when they are very busy, the food takes longer, but well worth the wait.

Great menu, food extremely tasty, and attentive service

We have been eating at the Pimlico Tandoori for over 30 years. It is, and has always been, warm, friendly, welcoming and fun. The food is great and the staff kind. My favourite place in Pimlico.

Will never eat here again. Never been served by a more rude waiter. Having given this place chance after chance, service never changed whether we ate in or had a takeaway. Totally different to the nineties and early naughties when this restaurant was so well run and was always greeted well by the gentleman in charge.

Wonderful meal, great choices especially for my vegetarian husband. We love the Dansak curries and the soft squishy naans.

We were staying in a hotel just up the road and wanted a good value no-fuss meal. We were very impressed with the Pimlico Tandoori. Staff are friendly and attentive without being pushy, the food is great, not too greasy and with subtle spicing. Prices are good value for a place so close to central London. We'll definitely go back.

Sent an order via Deliveroo. There was some confusion over delivery. The food is good.

Despite the restaurant being full with 'covers', it was quite clear that the kitchen was overrun with 'take away' orders, which the establishment gave precedents to. Staff seemed to have no idea about 'customer service' and were begrudged when after an hour and ten minutes I enquired about my soup starter! I finally got my simple mains course, after another 10 or so minutes. The preserve was the fact the food tasted nice, however they need to decide between running a restaurant or a take away business. I certainly wouldn't recommend, if you have anything less than 2 to 3 hours time to spend for a meal!

It was our last night in London after our 21 day 35th Wedding Anniversary trip. We decided to go to Pimlico Tandoori. Gupta was our server and recommended a delicious meal for the two of us. My favorite was the complexity of the two rice dishes and my husband loved the lamb. The service was excellent as well. We both highly recommend this restaurant!

The best Indian food ive eaten, somebody is getting down in that kitchen i know that for a damn fact. Props to the chef! Food came hot and tasty 😍

The Pimlico Tandoori is back!!! Ordered a late night collection and portions were good and food was good also. The team were ready to close so I will forgive their lack of engagement when i reminisced how this was my first curry house back in the 70’s. It’s a new team as last owners were poor and standards had dropped.

PLEASE GO ELSEWHERE!!! 0 stars if I could rate them properly. The staff/ownership are rude and flat out liars. In a response to my previous review, they claim that I used their restroom for 40 minutes and they were “concerned for my well-being”. How could I have been in the restroom for 40 minutes, when our food arrived to our table at 1:10 pm and by 1:40 pm we were already at Marquis of Westminster a few blocks away? Did I spend 0 minutes eating? We were in your restaurant for 40 minutes total, including ordering, eating, and the time I spent using the restroom. I have pictures with time stamps to prove it. You are liars and terrible people. In reality the staff/ownership were making jokes saying “I fell asleep on the toilet”, loud enough for other customers to hear. I can’t believe how rude and inappropriate you all are. You should never treat a customer this way. I pray my review prevents people from going to your restaurant and experiencing this sort of treatment. Please spend your hard earned money elsewhere. This restaurant does not deserve your business or time. Absolutely horrible. 0 stars is the proper rating for this place.

DO NOT EAT HERE. Staff/ownership are incredibly rude. They made us feel uncomfortable eating and about using their restroom. I can’t believe they would treat customers the way they do. They are shady and just not good people to spend your money on. Go elsewhere for the sake of your trip and time. You will regret eating here. The flavours were just delicious also had to have a pint of cobra as well. It’s a hidden gem as it’s not somewhere you would find unless looking but we wanted an Indian and it was near the theatre as well.

I can say that like somebody said before its like 70s 80s restaurant. As a indian chef i can say that food is not very good.. But its ok. Main problem is service. As we everybody knows first impression is the best impression. When we entered into the restaurant one of the service staff( one old man) its behaviour was so rude. I went there around 10 pm. I have worked in different cuisine hotels in different countries. So I don't say im fully perfect.. But i can say i know something. Its so bad behavior from the staff. If you are going to close the restaurant you can say that its closing time so don't take too much time.. People can understand that.. Because every field there is different problems. Especially as a chef i can understand that what will be going to happen there if a customer comes in last minute. I go there as per the restaurant opening time that you shows in the website. And I noticed that they are behaving very nicely to other country people. What you people are thinking.. Indian people is not very good customer. If you are looking for a foreign customers(that means may be you are thinking you are getting tips from them only. I noticed that service staff openly asking for tips)only you have to mention that in your website. I have asked for a kingfisher beer. The service person is saying that cobra beer is bestvfor me. How he can say that. My drink preference is my choice. As a hotel staff i know the difference between co2 pressured beer and bottled beer. So customer if ask something they have to serve.. Don't think about their easiness. Actually i don't understand why they are ask me that. Cobra beer is cheaper than kingfisher. ( as per your menu). Only think i understood its easy to get it from counter. But my preference is kingfisher more than cobra. And i can say don't think as im a asian or indian i don't know anything. More Over that the staff told me they are going to close it so i need to give the order fast. I gave food order within 2-3 minutes i have keep the menu with me for drinks menu. I told him as you told i gave food order first. I need to look about drinks. But his face expressions and behaviour was so rude. I have went there with my wife and son. Is it the right way to behave to a customer. The order is big or small its doesn't matter. but if you accept me as a customer you have to behave nicely. And when food comes one staff came from down somewhere. He is a young man. He behaves very nicely. I m appreciate about his behaviour. And also i can say that when i entered in restaurant 3 tables was with Europeans and other country people( i don't know they are from which country). As a last customer when they all went, the staff try to behave me nicely. I Don't know from where they have got this change suddenly. I hope i was looking for your reviews when they are serving food.. May be some of them see that.. Because i felt that suddenly they are behaving nicely. But i have to mention it. First impression is the best impression. You have only 5-6 tables in your restaurant if they are getting panic with this five table full of customers you have to change the staff. ( i don't know the staffs i mentioned its your owner or something). I can say that one person that served food for us he is a nice man ( one young person). So as per m experience im not going to encourage to any person to come in your restaurant.. Thank you.

The food was absolutely delicious and fresh, served on time. Will definitely bring my family members next time. Their food prices are quite reasonable and tasty according to the place. Their menu has ample options for kids and vegetarians too. Most liked the sincerity and cooperation of the employees. I think this restaurant is the ideal place to eat Indian food in this area.

Unfriendly staff. 4 of us dined on a table for two with no space to place the dishes and the waiters who tried to make us sit as close to the table to free up space around. Quite an unpleasant situation.

Delivery: After they forgot rice in our order, they delivered it quickly and added some papadums. 5 stars for fixing a small problem quite quickly and they phoned to check we got it

Lovely little gem. Lovely food. Caters for different levels of spicy food. Had the ginger ale drink poppadoms lamb chops garlic naan and lamb karahi. Service was excellent. Excellent Indian restaurant I've been to in a long time. Highly recommend booking. Not alot of seating. Filled up fast.

This is the best Indian restaurant that I’ve been to in london, the popaddoms, The curries, The biryanis; every aspect of the menu was very pleasant and the service was top notch. Kamal was very nice & helpful thorough out my experience there & so was the rest of staff members! I’d definitely be going back there soon with a lot of friends.

Restaurant is clean. Food quality is good but the taste is sub-par. We ordered.Paneer mackhani which was extremely sweet, did not taste good at all. Chole were not cooked properly. Overall service was average. Based on my experience, their North Indian food is not good and doesn’t meet expectations.

It’ll leave a bad taste in your mouth figuratively and literally.

This is a very old-fashioned restaurant, it's like stepping back in time to what Indian cuisine in Britain was like in the 70s and 80's. The Indian restaurant scene has evolved since then, this place hasn't. The worst was the service, which was laughably unenthusiastic and borderline rude. The food is OK, but I'd only recommend that people go there for the nostalgic experience than the cuisine.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I tried this place when I was visiting London. Hands down the worst Indian food I have ever had. Forget the food, I wouldn’t leave a review solely based on that. The atmosphere and service was terrible. The tables are extremely cramped and following my families order the sever snatched the menu from my hand bc he felt it wasn’t large enough. lastly, the owner and employees openly talk about the customers. They probably did this since they thought we couldn’t understand them. We ordered extra naan and then heat the employee say make them wait 30 minutes in Punjabi. Please everyone don’t waste your time

We're visiting from California and unfortunately this happens to be the restaurant we ended up with, it was by far the worst service and worst Indian food we've ever had. The older guy guy got mad that we wanted tap water instead of bottles that he was trying to push on us, after we asked for tap water again, he got angry and left our table talking about us in his native tongue, which we happen to understand. It was downhill experience from there. The person taking order appeared mad at our table and was angry and practically snatched the menus out of our hands, sweet butter chicken ( nasty) was served and keema Naan had chicken curry in it instead of ground chicken. Overall, horrible experience. I understand that this restaurant has been in business since 1970's, it could not have been these owners, clearly, they don't belong in service business. If they could, they would jam a few more tables in to get more unsuspecting customers in. Do not waste your time or money here!!!

We had a lovely meal at the Pimlico Tandoori. The staff were very helpful , nothing was too much trouble and the food was divine. Portion size was excellent and the atmosphere in this restaurant is just perfect for meeting up with friends .

Visiting from the states, small local joint but food was fantastic and the staff / owner made you feel like part of the neighborhood.

Had food delivered from here for a while but lately we've received trays of oil with a dash of curry. It leaks in the bag, get everywhere, stains furniture and we have to drain it. Despite the 8 gallons of oil the food is very good! Good portions, quality meat and relatively reasonable prices. Shame cause if the excess oil continues we'll have to look for another Indian.

Didn’t start off well - I asked for a table and was put into a back room on my own with absolutely no atmosphere. Notwithstanding this, I ordered and when the start came it was delicious. After the starter I asked if there was any chance I could go into the main restaurant - fortunately a space had appeared - so I moved. This had a lovely lively vibe - just what I was expecting. My main course arrived and it too was delicious. Lovely wine too and all very reasonably well priced. So glad I stuck with it, I will be returning (next week in fact). Really appreciated the young waiter saving the day as I would have missed a treat.

Too costly as compared to other restaurants. Biryani is not up to the mark. For 2 people and just 3 menus it cost 47GBP. Not worth as compared to taste and quality.

We last eat here in November. The food and service was excellent. We went last night 22nd June. The service was appalling, and the food was poor and that was being generous. My starter was cold, my daughters starter did not arrive until I asked...

Small restaurant but serves delicious meals. Yesterday I ordered Channa Masala, Rice and Mango Lassi. Everything was superb in taste. Today I ordered Lamb biryani which was also great in taste. Looks like it's overpriced but taste justified it. The Chocolate they gives with Bill is damn good 👍, I wish if I know from where I can buy those chocolates for me 😋
