If you don’t mind being robbed in plain daylight go there. The poached eggs Benedict was the most ridiculous plate I’ve ever seen. No sides, just an English muffin with tiny ham slice and tiny egg, not even poached properly. 15£ for that and 5£for a kid size ginger ale. This should be illegal.

I don't understand how the rating can be low, the place is very nice, furnished with taste and quality. The service was good and fast, as was the food arriving from the kitchen. The food we chose was good, on the menu you will surely find something you like. The prices are normal for being inside an airport.

Amazingly rude staff. A manager walked my wife and I to a table. I ordered a drink with a different Waiter who called me rude for sitting in the eating area. I had to ask him to confirm that he actually called me that and he said yes. I called the manager over who said it’s ok to just drink but he wasn’t bothered about the waiter calling me rude even though the manager sat us there. Shocking place. I would mark it zero of if I could. Go to weatherspoon at the other end of the shops. Half the price and lovely waiters - really helpful.

I ordered a chicken tikka pizza. Given the price at £22.50 I was expecting a pretty decent one. It was a fair size however was bland in taste. Neither the tomato paste base nor chilli were evenly spread. It was doughy in patches. I asked a staff member to provide the feedback to the kitchen that at that price I expected a bit more care assembling but she seemed reluctant to do so. I would not return. Outrageously over-priced.

Kids eat for free! But Not really! Unless you pay $15 per adult. This information was conveniently hidden. Anyways the kids had fish and chips and they liked it. Feel like the portion could have a bit bigger. Service was okay, but you can expect that being it’s in an airport. We were billed for items we did not eat which we had to remove. Overall was okay, not bad but not overly good either. Filled up the stomach for a long day of travelling on beer and a few other items.

Passable Caesar salad, a big fat pile of lettuce drenched in Caesar dressing with a smattering of decent-ish bacon bits and some (apparently) sourdough tho it wasn’t like anything one might ordinarily recognise as sourdough. Chips were a bit like cardboard and small for the price.

There is a woman working in this restaurant who is not polite at all and disrespectful. A few minutes after I entered the restaurant, she told me to sit here and I immediately looked at the menu to order the meal. I was hungry, so I told her directly that I want to eat this burger. She told me that it was okay, and here the problem begins. I waited for more than 15 minutes and no one came to me to eat my meal. Then I asked a girl who works there if the food is ready because I ordered more than 15 minutes ago. She told me that I will see if my order is ready in a minute. After that, the first lady came and told me to sit at this table and said to me with all impudence and an angry look, “Did you tell me to bring you food?” I told her yes at first, then she told me that she did not tell me, and I had a flight. Then I went and after 10 minutes they brought me the food, which was a burger and fries. Simply put, the restaurant workers were polite and wonderful, especially the Asian woman.

The welcome lady was professional and effective. The server took my order quickly. The drink and food arrived quickly too, perfect when you want to make sure to catch your flight. However, it's pricey and not good : 20£ for a mushroom and truffle risotto and coke zero. The risotto was far from being creamy, each rice grain was a bit hard to chew on. I was so disappointed. Maybe the English like it that way. I wouldn't recommend this place for the lack of taste.

The staff here are top-notch — friendly and attentive. My husband loved his full English breakfast and coffee. I loved the sticky toffee pudding that we split and my Guinness. My fish and chips was tasty, from the fish to the fries to the tartar sauce and mushy peas, but the skimpy portion size left me wanting, particularly for the price. I get it; it’s an airport eatery in a ridiculously expensive city, but I still expect some value for my money. Would I return? Maybe.

Paid over $30 for a burger with bacon and cheese. Got it to go so I could make my flight. Of course, once I got on my flight and we took off, I opened my bag and found a burger with no bacon and no cheese. Server/Host names Muhammad was nice enough. Got my check quickly for me. Rang my order up proper according to the receipt, so it was the kitchens fault. Seating is very cramped. Of course, it's in an airport, so the prices are insanely inflated.

Had a disappointing experience with Walter during my visit on today. He refused to take an additional order while standing at our table, and his tone and attitude were unprofessional. This level of service was unexpected and disappointing. I hope the management addresses this to ensure a better experience for future customers.

Don't go near closing time! Popped into the Pilot's Bar again (been going there since it opened) ahead of a late flight out of Heathrow. We sat at the bar for at least 5 minutes before one of the two people behind the bar offered us a menu/drinks. We were told to hurry up if we wanted food as the kitchen closed soon. We ordered drinks and a pizza but by the time our food came, the bar was now closed and no time for another drink with the pizza. When I settled the bill, their Heathrow Rewards card machine apparently wasn't working so points couldn't be added. I was asked to leave my card number with them for points to be added next day. Two weeks later, nothing. The whole experience felt like the place is very badly managed, won't be going back in a hurry.

I spent a Sunday evening here waiting for a late flight. The atmosphere was great as it was really busy. Saad seemed to be the only barman serving and did great considering everyone's demands. I'd recommend for a quick tipple before boarding.

I was flying out on an early flight and my desk had already been announced. Thankfully, Paulina was wonderful when I explained my time predicament. I ordered a double espresso, orange juice and a croissant, all served within about five minutes as she promised! The croissant was piping hot and freshly baked. Yes, the food is pricey but what airport food isn’t? It is not the serving staff who choose the pricing structure! One extra kind gesture was when Paulina noticed I had a croaky voice (I explained I had rushed out without any breakfast hence the earlier urgency), she promptly offered me a glass of tap water which I gratefully received.

The service was efficient and you could tell that the team made an effort to keep guests happy, even in hectic times. A great experience, gladly again!

In utter disbelief at the experience I had here yesterday on a flight layover. I’ve eaten here before and found the food and service to be really good so thought it was a safe bet, how wrong I was. I ordered a vegetarian breakfast, and was brought a meat breakfast. This in itself was not a big deal as they were very busy. However my server treated me like an inconvenience for asking for the meal I ordered. I witnessed him wildly gesticulating and rolling his eyes to the chef on taking my wrong order back. The chef then rushed my order. I was served raw tomato, undercooked spinach, barely toasted toast and raw sweetcorn fritters. When I pointed this out, the server once again treated me like I was just being difficult. I would have rather just left my meal at this point as boarding was about to open for my flight, but he stormed off shouting that he’d get me another. I was then served a bowl of burnt sweetcorn fritters. No attempt to rectify any of the rest of my meal. We were charged full price for the meal and the server had the cheek to point out the gratuity button while settling the bill. I never leave negative reviews but this experience was so terrible I’ve been motivated to do so. I’ll be eating elsewhere on future trips to T5.

I stopped here twice (Jan & June 2023) and I was greeted kindly by the staff. They had quick service, so I wasn't worried about missing my flight. Unfortunately, I can't sing the same praises for the food. Both times, I found my meals lacking in flavor. It was disappointing since I wanted one last taste of London cuisine before I left the U.K. I'm hoping I can return one more time, but there's no promise of that. So I hate to say it, but this restaurant ultimately didn't satisfy me.

Disappointing experience. We asked if we could sit at a table and have just a drink. There were several empty tables but we were told that they were for food only. Fair enough we said. Would it be possible to sit at an empty table in the corner and have a drink we asked, but if you need the table then we will happily move immediately to the bar? The staff member initially said no but then relented and gave us the table in the corner. The waiter then came over and asked what food we would like. We explained the above. He told us we could not stay. We had to leave. Several empty tables remained. The staff were polite enough but this was disappointing customer service, inflexibility and loss of custom for the Pilots Bar.

The waiter named Walter was rude. He pressured me to leave by placing my bill on the table, without saying anything or asking if I needed it in advance, while I still had not finished my food (my dinning pace was fairly fast already). And then when I was paying my bill, he pressured me to tip him by whispering to me “gratuity is not included in the bill”, despite tipping is not expected or essential in the UK.

Had a really nice brunch here - don’t feel that expectations can be too high as at the end of the day it is an airport restaurant dealing with a massive turnover of customers without reservations but it definitely exceeded our expectations in that the food we had (eggs Benedict) was great & service was very good and very friendly - Ramesh our server was very efficient. Just experienced the worst service of my life @pilots bar and kitchen LHR. That's saying a lot as I spend ao much time at the airports traveling. I'd like to say to Jonah the bartender that; If you aren't willing to put a smile on your customes' face at least try not to take away the ones that are already there Not only I will not return (been making the trip every 4-6 wks since 2020) nor will I recommend others to do so.

As an American, this is the worst fish and chips I’ve ever eaten…and I have eaten fish and chips in a lot of places. The fish is over-fried and dripping grease. The chips are simultaneously soggy and too hard to eat. I had more enjoyable fish and chips in Afghanistan.

Opens at 0600. Fine, but other restaurants are open earlier. Get shown to seat and told that kitchen will be ready in 15 to 20 minutes after 0600. What is the point of this in an airport when people's time is limited? If you say you open at 0600 then make damn sure the kitchen is ready to go at 0600.

Our server, Ioana, was the sweetest girl in the whole place. The green Thai curry is one of the best I've ever had! The only downfall was seeing another server (male) drop a fork on the floor, pick it up, and put it back with the other silverware! I ordered a plate of tomato gnocchi with courgettes and peppers and I received a dish, which disgusted me as it was spicy. I had to finish it because my flight was about to leave and I wouldn't have had time to ask for another dish and I arrived home after midnight. when a dish is very spicy you have to write it to warn the customer. And chili peppers are different than peppers. I ordered sparkling water and received filtered tap water which I clearly did not accept. But You also need to notify the customer when you take the order, before serving it.

Of the few actual restaurants in Heathrow Terminal Five, this is my favourite. The food is spot on and arrived quickly. I enjoyed the chicken burger and chips. Plenty of alcoholic beverages are available. They do all the British classics very well. The fish and chips and curry both looked fab too. Staff are very efficient which can make you feel a bit rushed but I appreciated it as I didn't have a lot of time before my flight. A little on the pricey side but it has become my default restaurant to go to in Heathrow Terminal Five. Highly recommended!

Good food. Nice place. Awful service. Walter is the worst un politecnico waiver ever known. We arrive and take place. We Are 4. We ask for advice and info on beer available. He does not know. Ok. We say we need some time to decide. Then we call him as we Are ready. All ready except for one still deciding what to drink. Walter says " you said you were ready. You make up my mind". He complained to a closer tale. Unpolite. Not at all professional nor serious. But we are on holiday and polite so no discussion. We order and eat. We ask for side dishes (3 main courses, we are 4...need to ask???) and after for napkins. He said " do you need something else I have to take"? That is: "ask all together and do not waste my time". When we were paying the bill, he was disapponinted since we want no tip for him. And we discussed. He said we were holding him and people was waiting for him. Not true. Just few seconds on a monday afternoon at the airport...seats available all around. But anyway not a justification to his rudeness. In the end he asked for our nationality (proudly Italian) and said " no wonder". We were wondering of such a rude waiver at an important hub as Heathrow. Hope meeting no more such a bad guy to serve at table and wasting people's mood. Ask for another waiver oif you go

Connected through Heathrow twice in October and ate here both times because the first time was so good. The staff is very cordial and attentive. My wife inquired about the salt content on one of the menu items and the waitress didn’t have an answer. 5 minutes later one of the kitchen staff came to our table and explained which items were premade and which the kitchen staff can control,then helped her pick something that fit her needs. You don’t often get that kind of service, especially in an airport restaurant. Highly recommend.

The pancakes tasted great and had a nice fluffy texture, bacon was cripsy and the syrup was great with them. Though the pancakes had some, resistance to them, still soft but not super soft. Tables were nice and had a good atmosphere for the late morning when I ate, service was friendly but slow though it was busy. I understand the price due to it being an airport but £16.50 inc VAT is still £16.50. Overall, they were great pancakes and definitely satified my cravings for them.

I paid with my Card and in the printed bill, I could see the FULL UNMASKED Credit card number with the expiry date. As per PCI compliance, customer card number should not be exposed. If I discard that bill, potentially, I could get defrauded. I told the waitress of same and asked her to relay my concerns to mgmt. I am also writing here hope its seen by the right people

Very GOOD breakfast and drinks with nice staff. A lot better than Wearherspoons is to use in T5. Flight was cancelled by British Airways. I was able to use the food vouchers I was given by the airline for another excellent breakfast here when they opened at 6 am. the next day. Thank you.

Rudeness of the staff took me by surprise. I asked for some tea to take away but the little bearded bar tender told me he was too busy to make tea. It was 7am and the place was half empty. It was clear the angry little man simply did not want to serve me. I decided to go to another place. Its 2024 and we still get this kind of prejudice

They forgot our order, waited 50 minutes. The waiters don’t have / use an restaurant ordering system with a tablet or phone. They should definitely get such a system for even much busier days than today. The waiters were friendly and took off 20% off from the bill.
