Carvery was excellent. Good quality food and lots of choice. Good portion sizes too. Staff were lovely, friendly and accommodating. TVs showing football is also an added bonus. Really nice atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit

My son and his wife come over from Sutton Coldfield to eat a Sunday roast a the Piller of Salt Everyone is so friendly and the food is superb.

I came in with family a few Sundays ago for some drinks and Ben behind the bar was amazing to us, very attentive, asking us if we wanted more drinks as we were getting to the end of ours, won’t be the last time we visit

Came in for a quick drink after going to a football match, was instantly greeted by Ben and got a close community feel from the place straight away, no doubt I’ll be back

Had a cowboy burger tonight, absolutely wonderful a1 food and Emma and Claire were very friendly and made our night. Great atmosphere and friendly locals. A proper family friendly place and great love it here.

Went here for a quick drink and I was immediately impressed by the friendliness and customer service at the place, especially from Ben, it was very welcoming, I would definitely come back.

This meal was great, I had the kids cheeseburger and it was delicious and was delivered after 5 minutes of the order, the burger was great and I would rate 5/5 this was the most polite restaurant and it was wonderful it was amazing, would recommend! 5/5 thank you. edit: came again today and had a main of a cheeseburger with fries and a chocolate ice cream drizzled in chocolate syrup. ty for the amazing food that i got today! certainly coming back soon! 10/10 service. would reccomend

I come here every Sunday with family and friends and travel 7 miles to do so. It's the best pub for food and drinks for miles. The staff are very friendly and can't do enough for you. The atmosphere is very friendly and best of all we can bring our dog! The carvery is always fresh and delicious but I definitely recommend the fish and chips! Hand battered and delicious every time. Josh and the team, you have an amazing pub! Keep up the excellent work. Had a very nice Christmas dinner here Dec 24 with family, enjoyed the whole experience from start to finish! Food was amazing and the staff all wonderful. We will be booking again next year for sure!

Great pub, lovely staff and great Beer! Can't wait to try the food when the kitchen opens next week! Edited to say we came for a Carvery yesterday and the food was amazing! Puddings are beautiful and we had lovely welcome on arrival. Lovely and warm pub too! I highly recommend the food we had a party of 6 and we all enjoyed our meals and desserts Thanks for having us! This place has improved dramatically with the new management. Plenty of friendly capable staff, great beers on tap and plenty of extra entertainment depending on the day.

This pub is definitely the pub to go to they have a dj set up every Friday night to entertain people it’s the only pub in droitwich that does this plus it has pool tables and darts so your never going to get bored there. The staff treat everyone so welcoming even if you’re not a regular to the pub they make you feel like you are and it’s not just staff the locals are really friendly to. Definitely the best pub around

Had a really good time here, the food was great and they have a large selection of drinks for all. The outside area has changed in a very good way. The new seating area is a great improvement to the pub.

First time I’ve been to this marstons pub great welcome from the staff, nice atmosphere, we all had a carvery from the menu, which did not disappoint highly recommend this pub. My dog was welcomed too which was a bonus .

The staff were very helpful and accommodating. The meal was perfect and we'll received. I really appreciated my mother being allowed to have a meal from the children's menu and our dog loved all the attention. It was a lovely stop gap on our journey from Somerset to Yorkshire.

Went to the pillar of salt for lunch got served by a young girl who was so pleasant and really helpful. Food and staff were really brilliant. Highly recommend going here for a drink or food. Also it's a dog friendly place which is always nice.

This pub is such an amazing venue. I couldn’t have been happier with the service or food We had a few games of pool and had a blast the atmosphere was amazing not too loud but just right it was such an amazing day thank you so much for the great service All the staff working was amazing and helpful

Hi I went last Thursday for steak night, the price was amazing, the steak was so tender I had mine medium rare an was perfect, my partner had the same but cooked medium she was over the moon, the mushrooms were cooked brilliantly, so juicy, the staff were amazing from the minute we walked in showed us to our table an could not ask for better service, highly recommend especially on a Thursday,

I have just moved to the area recently and took my kids out for a meal here . The food was great the staff are really friendly and the atmosphere was great definitely be going back again .

Found this sports based pub to watch some football. Plenty of screens in different areas and karaoke. So far,so good. Bar staff were happy to turn up the sound so we could listen to the commentary. Two things let this pub down. Firstly, lack of any real ale, just the usual keg beers, cold and gassy. Secondly, I couldn't help over hearing racist language being used by a small group of customers. If I could hear it then so could everyone else. Nothing was said by the staff to stop it. Not very pleasant. Noticeable there were no black or Asian people in there. No wonder.

When I went there it was very nice, and got served fairly quickly. Although you do have to wait some time before the food is brought out to you. Overall I like it, and would recommend it.

Staff very friendly, and very quick to take order even when busy. Food is very reasonably priced, and the chef did not slack at all. Will 100% come back

The food was delicious, two meals from the lunchtime meal deal and two from the main menu. We received a very warm welcome and all the staff were attentive to our needs and extremely polite. Thoroughly enjoyed our lunch and we will certainly return. Excellent service all round, thank you.

Lost my appetite after stepping in dog feaces in the car park. It's literally covered in fences, won't be going again.

I do not eat out very often so have not eaten here for a very long time. I ordered Hunters chicken, my friend ordered the scampi. I forgot to take photos of our mains but i did take photos of our desserts, although my friend had half eaten hers 😂. The food was lovely, we thoroughly enjoyed it. The amount was just perfect. Highly recommend anyone going. We are definitely returning. A big shout out to Ty who served us, he is amazing, very polite, friendly, welcoming and good for a laugh! Food was cooked perfectly and service was quick and efficient. Nice and clean and music was in the background so my friend and I could have a conversation .

We came for Mother’s Day and had an amazing experience, the food was beautiful fresh and hot and the staff were so friendly, polite and Welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us. 100% service and would definitely recommend and will be back again.

If I could give 10stars I would. The staff are super friendly and super accommodating, they fulfill every need, polite and professional. The food is some of the best food I’ve ever eaten and I will be coming back here 1000%. Thank you to Josh and the team for making it a lovely Mother’s Day.

What can I say? I whole heartedly believe that this pub serves the best carvery in Worcestershire. The meat was tender, the veg was spot on, the prices are very fair and above all else the customer service was impeccable. I’ve never felt so welcome in an establishment. A major bonus is that the whole pub is very accessible to all. The staff are nothing short of amazing, not only did we receive excellent service but I also witnessed them go above and beyond for their less able customers. The local community should be extremely proud to have such a great pub on their doorstep. A huge thank you to Josh and team for helping to make such a good mother’s day.

Fantastic friendly atmosphere with service second to none and with nothing being too much trouble. Whilst there we enjoyed watching some Friday evening football on the fantastically huge screen the pub boasts. Fully intended to leave after food and the football but then the entertainment started which apparently was a weekly disco so we stayed for the rest of the night. Great time had by all and will be returning. Keep up the good work team pillar 👍

Delicious food, Great staff and a nice spacious family pub restaurant. A good choice of food and drinks. My son enjoyed his Carvey. There's a good selection of everything. His plate was full. I went for a smaller lunch but yet still a decent size for lunch. I choose macaroni cheese with pop corn chicken, salad, 2 Garlic bread, BBQ sauce.. Recommend.

Went for some food with a friend of mine, was the first time in quite a few years I chanced going back in and was pleasantly surprised not only on how clean and bright it was but also the atmosphere inside was what a pub/ restaurant should be. We decided to get some food and wow 5* on service, taste and even the presentation of the.food shows that this pub has really picked its self back up and you van see the place is thriving. The staff where more than commentating and friendly. So happy to see that I can use my local again and defiantly looking forward to taking my family over for a meal, I hear they have different attractions ie karaoke nights, discos , all different teams are based there again I use the word thriving as its clear to anyone that drinks/eats there that, that is what it is thriving well done to all of the staff for turning things back around

Booked several tables for an early Christmas family get together and we all loved every minute. There were fifteen of us in total and the service was superb! Had a great lunch. Josh was amazing and the food was out of this world. I piled too much on to carvery!!!!! Could not eat it all. Will definitely go again. Bit of a long way for me, maybe not that far but felt like it, but WELL worth it. Just wish my ex colleague was there to see me. Car had a wee run and my belly was well and truly filled. I, also, liked the fact that dogs were welcome.
