This place has improved dramatically with the new management. Plenty of friendly capable staff, great beers on tap and plenty of extra entertainment depending on the day.

Had a really good time here, the food was great and they have a large selection of drinks for all. The outside area has changed in a very good way. The new seating area is a great improvement to the pub.

This pub is definitely the pub to go to they have a dj set up every Friday night to entertain people it’s the only pub in droitwich that does this plus it has pool tables and darts so your never going to get bored there. The staff treat everyone so welcoming even if you’re not a regular to the pub they make you feel like you are and it’s not just staff the locals are really friendly to. Definitely the best pub around

First time I’ve been to this marstons pub great welcome from the staff, nice atmosphere, we all had a carvery from the menu, which did not disappoint highly recommend this pub. My dog was welcomed too which was a bonus .

Always have a great meal here, fast and piping hot

The staff were very helpful and accommodating. The meal was perfect and we'll received. I really appreciated my mother being allowed to have a meal from the children's menu and our dog loved all the attention. It was a lovely stop gap on our journey from Somerset to Yorkshire.

Went to the pillar of salt for lunch got served by a young girl who was so pleasant and really helpful. Food and staff were really brilliant. Highly recommend going here for a drink or food. Also it's a dog friendly place which is always nice.

Great pub, nice outdoor seating area. The staff was very friendly, they had lots of variety of drinks, food was great. I would definitely recommend this pub to family and friends. It is child friendly and dog friendly. All in all a very pleasant experience and I willl be coming back here again.

Hi I went last Thursday for steak night, the price was amazing, the steak was so tender I had mine medium rare an was perfect, my partner had the same but cooked medium she was over the moon, the mushrooms were cooked brilliantly, so juicy, the staff were amazing from the minute we walked in showed us to our table an could not ask for better service, highly recommend especially on a Thursday,

I have just moved to the area recently and took my kids out for a meal here . The food was great the staff are really friendly and the atmosphere was great definitely be going back again .

Always great here. I've had a wonderful Breakfast and a wonderful cavery and occasionally just come in for a drink. All the staff are always so friendly and welcoming, I'm glad we have this place in the town!

Went with family for a birthday get together we all had carvery, it was lovely everything fresh and tasted great. Also had a trifle cheese cake, which was fantastic. Staff are very nice also

I come here every Sunday with family and friends and travel 7 miles to do so. It's the best pub for food and drinks for miles. The staff are very friendly and can't do enough for you. The atmosphere is very friendly and best of all we can bring our dog! The carvery is always fresh and delicious but I definitely recommend the fish and chips! Hand battered and delicious every time. Josh and the team, you have an amazing pub! Keep up the excellent work.

Found this sports based pub to watch some football. Plenty of screens in different areas and karaoke. So far,so good. Bar staff were happy to turn up the sound so we could listen to the commentary. Two things let this pub down. Firstly, lack of any real ale, just the usual keg beers, cold and gassy. Secondly, I couldn't help over hearing racist language being used by a small group of customers. If I could hear it then so could everyone else. Nothing was said by the staff to stop it. Not very pleasant. Noticeable there were no black or Asian people in there. No wonder.

When I went there it was very nice, and got served fairly quickly. Although you do have to wait some time before the food is brought out to you. Overall I like it, and would recommend it.

Lost my appetite after stepping in dog feaces in the car park. It's literally covered in fences, won't be going again.

The food was delicious, two meals from the lunchtime meal deal and two from the main menu. We received a very warm welcome and all the staff were attentive to our needs and extremely polite. Thoroughly enjoyed our lunch and we will certainly return. Excellent service all round, thank you.

I do not eat out very often so have not eaten here for a very long time. I ordered Hunters chicken, my friend ordered the scampi. I forgot to take photos of our mains but i did take photos of our desserts, although my friend had half eaten hers 😂. The food was lovely, we thoroughly enjoyed it. The amount was just perfect. Highly recommend anyone going. We are definitely returning. A big shout out to Ty who served us, he is amazing, very polite, friendly, welcoming and good for a laugh! Friendly staff with great atmosphere , beers and food !

Food was cooked perfectly and service was quick and efficient. Nice and clean and music was in the background so my friend and I could have a conversation .

We came for Mother’s Day and had an amazing experience, the food was beautiful fresh and hot and the staff were so friendly, polite and Welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us. 100% service and would definitely recommend and will be back again.

If I could give 10stars I would. The staff are super friendly and super accommodating, they fulfill every need, polite and professional. The food is some of the best food I’ve ever eaten and I will be coming back here 1000%. Thank you to Josh and the team for making it a lovely Mother’s Day.

What can I say? I whole heartedly believe that this pub serves the best carvery in Worcestershire. The meat was tender, the veg was spot on, the prices are very fair and above all else the customer service was impeccable. I’ve never felt so welcome in an establishment. A major bonus is that the whole pub is very accessible to all. The staff are nothing short of amazing, not only did we receive excellent service but I also witnessed them go above and beyond for their less able customers. The local community should be extremely proud to have such a great pub on their doorstep. A huge thank you to Josh and team for helping to make such a good mother’s day.

Fantastic friendly atmosphere with service second to none and with nothing being too much trouble. Whilst there we enjoyed watching some Friday evening football on the fantastically huge screen the pub boasts. Fully intended to leave after food and the football but then the entertainment started which apparently was a weekly disco so we stayed for the rest of the night. Great time had by all and will be returning. Keep up the good work team pillar 👍

Delicious food, Great staff and a nice spacious family pub restaurant. A good choice of food and drinks. My son enjoyed his Carvey. There's a good selection of everything. His plate was full. I went for a smaller lunch but yet still a decent size for lunch. I choose macaroni cheese with pop corn chicken, salad, 2 Garlic bread, BBQ sauce.. Recommend.

Went for some food with a friend of mine, was the first time in quite a few years I chanced going back in and was pleasantly surprised not only on how clean and bright it was but also the atmosphere inside was what a pub/ restaurant should be. We decided to get some food and wow 5* on service, taste and even the presentation of the.food shows that this pub has really picked its self back up and you van see the place is thriving. The staff where more than commentating and friendly. So happy to see that I can use my local again and defiantly looking forward to taking my family over for a meal, I hear they have different attractions ie karaoke nights, discos , all different teams are based there again I use the word thriving as its clear to anyone that drinks/eats there that, that is what it is thriving well done to all of the staff for turning things back around

Booked several tables for an early Christmas family get together and we all loved every minute. There were fifteen of us in total and the service was superb! Great food, a lovely festive atmosphere and polite staff who although busy, could not do enough to ensure our visit was a memorable one. Thank you to Josh and his team. Had a great lunch. Josh was amazing and the food was out of this world. I piled too much on to carvery!!!!! Could not eat it all. Will definitely go again. Bit of a long way for me, maybe not that far but felt like it, but WELL worth it. Just wish my ex colleague was there to see me. Car had a wee run and my belly was well and truly filled. I, also, liked the fact that dogs were welcome.

Amazing carvery, four types of meat all cooked to perfection, and so many types of vegetables your spoilt for choice. Staff make you so welcome. We travel 7 miles every Sunday to this establishment. Would recommend everyone to try it.

One of the most friendly and welcoming pubs I've been in. Came in for a few drinks with my partner for a celebration on a Sunday in the late evening. The barmaid was so polite and service was incredible. Made great conversation with us will definitely be popping in again.

Went to the Pillar of Salt for a carvery for my birthday. It was absolutely delicious! My plate was over brimming as I liked everything that was on offer. Everything was so tasty and the garlic new potatoes were amazing! There were a couple of choices of mash, I had the one with extras added, can't remember what was in it but it was gorgeous. The staff welcome you with a smile as soon as you walk in and there is a really nice, friendly atmosphere in there. I've been here half a dozen times over the last few months and it just seems to get better each visit. Thank you for helping make my birthday special.

Great pub very friendly staff we had a great time thank you. The food was delicious and we requested some 80s music which the owner put on the big screen for us. Overall a great pub highly recommend.

On arrival, we were greeted by very loud music (Kim Wilde) so we asked for a quiet spot as we were meeting two friends, one of whom was hard of hearing. We were shown to an area but was warned that at 1:00 the Bingo session would start nearby, but the music would be turned down. The music was turned down minimally but the Bingo caller had a big soundbox. We settled ourselves outside but it came on to rain so we had to come in. However, the food was good.

Staying in the area we first went to the nearest pub after arriving on a Friday. Walked in and found it was not really dog friendly or human friendly. Tatty and dirty, so about turned and went to next closest, The Pillar of Salt! Friendly greeting from the Landlord, also noting that it was clean, tidy and comfortable. Beer and cod and chips were very cheap compared to where we live. Chef and bar staff were all helpful and friendly. Went again but had stopped serving food at 7pm on Thursday, but would certainly go back again.

The pub is clean and cosy with a family friendly atmosphere. We sat next to a lady who lives locally and eats there regularly, and she was super happy to see the pubs' popularity increasing under this new team :) we will be spreading the word! I recently visited this pub after hearing about its new management, and seeing the carvery photos online The pub has a cozy and welcoming atmosphere and the staff made us feel right at home. The menu had a great variety of options, ranging from classic pub fare to more modern dishes. The carvery was simply delicious The service was outstanding as well. The staff members were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. Lastly, I was pleasantly surprised by the reasonable prices. Considering the high quality of the food and the overall experience it is well worth the money. Overall, I highly recommend this pub with its new management. Whether you're looking for a place to enjoy a tasty meal, grab a drink, or simply have a great time with friends, this pub ticks all the boxes.

Booked here for a Sunday Carvery. I have mobility problems and they had reserved me a nice table. My partner and I both thought the food was spot on ! Good choice of meats and veg all cooked to perfection ! Price is good and they sell a great selection of drinks. The staff are also helpful and welcoming ...... Highly Recommended .....so happy to see this pub in safe hands again !

Returned here on an overcast Tuesday afternoon and stopped to eat. Great selection of real Beers. I had a perfect steak with chips mushrooms, peas etc and my partner had spicy pulled pork baguette. So glad to see this pub back in good hands and welcoming again !

We went for a little family walk in the glorious sunshine, it was a beautiful day and we fancied a cheeky beverage. Our walk took us into the vicinity of The Pillar of Salt and we were a little thirsty so decided to pop in for a drink. On arrival we were met with some very hostile glares from a large group of people sat outside (we're used to those type of things, no drama, a local pub we get it. But a little unwelcoming as we were a family). We walked into the pub, it was quiet, no one at the bar. One lady was sat in the window seat puffing away on her vape. We walked to the bar, a young person with blond hair looked at us and then walked around the other side of the bar and started a conversation with someone who we couldn't see. We thought it was important, so waited...and waited...and waited again. At one point she looked over at us and continued her conservation. After around five minutes (could have been more, I was thirsty!) we decided to go elsewhere. Not sure we'll be back.

Really picking back up as a local resident it’s great to see the community coming back together the staff have really been accommodating and I’m just overall really impressed
