Not from round these parts, very much a caravanning tourist from deepest darkest ale quaffing Holmfirth, in West Yorkshire. Ended up here twice today! We tend to navigate pubs by the good beer guide. Popped to the place across the road, then to the Old Cock. Turns out the beer and service was fantastic, I'm my opinion, far superior than some other establishments within the town. Decided to eat at another pub further down the road, but when we arrived they'd run out of ale, so that was no good! Returned to the Old Cock for more ale and some food. Shouldn't have left, good ale, good food, nice staff, nice atmosphere, nice locals. Acceptable prices. Dog friendly. Even got board games to keep folk amused on rainy days.

Stayed at Droitwich Spa Marina campsite and wandered into town. Had researched the best pubs before we left home (!) as you do, so knew we had to find The Old Cock Inn. We were not disappointed. Friendly barman and proper old quirky pub. Good choice of real ale and cider and cheaper than at home (Cornwall). Win, win! Stayed for 2 pints and as it was Friday night Pie Night we decided to eat here as well. £7.50 for pie (choice of 4), chips (also choice of potatoes) and peas and it was delicious. We had planned on returning the following weekend (on our way back home) but the weather was so good we had a BBQ on the campsite! Will definitely be staying locally again and visiting this great pub. Have already recommended to camping friends.

So sad I forgot to take pictures! It's the first time we've been here and we all really enjoyed it. We nearly all had carvery and let's start with the Carvery Chef. He was jolly, kind, cheeky and engaging. Now let's move onto the food. It was homely, tasty, lots of choice and the meats were all tender. Now let's move onto the service. One word, GREAT! We will definitely be back. Thank you for making our 4 generations of Mother's Day a special one xxxx

Was here for the Ireland Vs Wales rugby on Saturday. Great TV set up for a match at the back of the pub. While I didn't eat, my in-laws and other half enjoyed their food and food seems to be served for most of the day (kitchen was active during our time there). Prices were fine & it's close to a large carpark for the town and some one Street parking. Friendly bar staff and my in-laws highly rate the place.

We visited Droitwich and the Old Cock Inn for the first time ever for a pre-Christmas family lunch. It's a proper ancient, unpretentious and un-gentrified town inn and we immediately felt at home. The staff were warm, friendly and very welcoming to we strangers, and the carvery food was excellent. Vegetables had been carefully cooked, and were excellent quality. We all had turkey, and it was also of a high quality. Portion sizes were also very good. We didn't have desserts as we were all too full after the main course. All of this was had at a very modest price - little over £40 for four adults! A great place indeed.

An older pub in Droitwich, which is a great place to go with a small group or just a social drink, one of the places to go to see the faces of the town. Narrow walkways throughout the pub, quite possibly too narrow for a wheelchair, but not tested that out. It was pretty busy when we went in with our group, but got served pretty quickly. Staff were friendly enough, I didn't have food, but they do serve it, so unfortunately I don't have a review for that. Parking is any place you can find to park on a public road or car park.

We drink and eat at this local pub, always good food and drink and exceptional service. But because of this pesky Boris lockdown we weren't able to have a night out. Instead we sampled the takeaway yumminess. I have to say it was better than you get from your average Pizza establishment. Proper tomato base, loaded with toppings and cheese. We regularly drink in the Old Cock, but tonight we had a meal. Described simply, it's proper pub food. But it feels like they put a personal touch to it. The food was very good, perfectly presented and was hot and oh so tasty. It is also worth noting that you won't have a bad pint in here. A very good range of Ale and Lager and a great selection of Gin it seems too. The service is always good, with a smile and good humour. It's friendly, welcoming and very good value. The gaffers Nick and Clare have this place sorted and then some more. It's a focal point in the town and also a place that welcomes new visitors. Despite these strange times, this place has it sorted. Thankyou.

First popped into the Cafe on the way to the m50 for a pitstop about 12 months ago.oOn that occassion ordered a jacket potato with cheese. Took 40 mins and then it had cream cheese covered with a birds dropping size of hard cheese. Disgusting. Called in again this weekend as driver was hungry and ordered 2 lots of salad sandwich, a sausage roll and a slice of cake. Cost, 24.00. Asked for mayo but didn't have any. Sandwich consisted of two slices of dried bread and the salad was a lettuce leaf, a chunk of tomatoe and a slice of cucumber. Barely covered the meat but meat was OK, 2 slices of ham. Put together by a 4 year old by the looks of it. Cake was good though. However in future I will be using the mobile snack bar in the nearby lay-by if he's there next time I'm passing.
