2nd time here in 3 months. Service is like julie waters in acorn antiques!! It's like the blind leading the blind. No organisation or communication. Someone actually walked out & left their order. They were so sick of waiting. Cake cam only be described as old & stale. Like eating cardboard!

Came to the pier and ordered cheesy chips from the chip stall and been told that I have to order them from the cafe as there machine wasn’t working. So went to the cafe and ordered the cheesy chips they were meant to be £3.50. So they charged me £3.50 plus 25p because I ordered from the cafe which wasn’t my fault. Thought they would remove the charge due to the issue with the fryer but obviously not. Won’t be coming here again.

I live locally and popped in to get some hot drinks. The lad serving was lovely and polite. I paid and then whilst holding my baby started to put my purse away in my bag. A blonde haired female staff member then came over and asked if I had paid. I replied yes and she then said I needed to move out of the way and stand somewhere else to put my purse away! The cafe was pretty quiet, I wasn't in anyone's way, there was no big que behind me. Her attitude was rude and unnecessary. It's a shame that her poor attitude let's the rest of her polite colleagues down. I was holding a baby, it just took me a few seconds longer to put my purse away that's all. I'll doubt I'll go back, I'd rather go elsewhere than be greeted by face ache again!

Love Llandudno, visited many times over the year including this Café. Not sure if its changed hands recently and my disabled wife and I found it a haunting, bad experience especially with Covid around: 1) Empty tables, some with dishes on from the last customers, but none had been wiped, disgusting. The guy collecting, strutted around with no protection on his hands, no cleaning cloth or disinfectant/cleaning solution. 2) Tea and other drinks served up in cardboard cups, that coupled with the warm washing up liquid serving as tea was foul. 3) Nothing much on the menu but everything was over priced. We opted for a scone which tasted bland, like bleach and with the wooden saw edged piece of spatula reduced the concoction to crumbs. My wife was a baker and she also said it was nothing like she had seen or tasted before either, not sure if it was mixed in a cement mixer or what, or who made it? Must have been the local quarry at Colwyn bay. 4) For the notice of the owners: a) Why can you not provide clean tables? b) Why give out drinks in cardboard cups? c) Why wooden knives? d) You don't use saw edged knives to spread butter, you did not give us enough pats of butter and the one's we had were chewed up by the wooden knives. e) Why did you not give out enough butter and/or paper napkins? I had to go back to the counter and request said items. Very bad customer service, either the staff require more training and/or you need to sell up and give up this journey because its not working. We will not be going back.

I have been coming to Llandudno and visiting Pier for many years, but avoid this cafe which I have previously found to be lacking. Today, a friend wanted a drink so we went inside.... It's still unappetising place, despite its wonderful location, and Victorian style building. My friend asked for a small coffee, response was patronising as it appears they only have one size for latte and one for cappuccino, then staff started sniggering. No effort is made inside to create a environment that reflects its location,Cakes were presented in scratched and marked containers, dirty counter top with cake residue, tattooed staff, staff wearing inappropriate nail art all contributed to negative impression and put me off from adding to the orderI do hope the new owners of the Pier raise the standard of this Cafe. We do use the shop at other end of pier that sells coffee, but it is often closed or unmanned, so would like to see some additional places serving refreshments on the Pier that take more pride in what is on offer.

We walked along the pier and decided to have a coffee and snack in this café. It seemed rather chaotic with lots of people behind the counter getting in each others way. We were not given a receipt for our order and then realised that we needed a number so that the staff could identify us when they brought the order out. It seemed as if there were many mix ups and wrong orders brought out and we had to wait ages for our order of 3 toasted tea cakes and a doughnut to arrive which it did eventually after a few enquiries as to where it had got to. I think the order had got lost.I realise they were busy on a Saturday but it all seemed very disorganised.

The lady in front of me asked for a TURKEY sandwich, the young lady behind the counter said they had run out of TURKEY so she settled for TUNA. I asked for CORONATION CHICKEN & my husband decided on CHICKEN MASALA, which they told me they had run out of both. While we were deciding what else to have, another girl came to advise that they had now run of TUNA, so we decided to have 2 HAM sandwiches. The young man, serving us then asked if we wanted white or BROWN bread, we said brown. Then believe it or not, the girl from the back came through & said they had run out of BROWN BREAD ! By this time, we were soo fed up, we told him to forget it ! We then walked back to Tudno Hotel & enjoyed a delicious club sandwich. Needless to say, we will never go back to Ocean Cafe.

I visit llandudno a fair bit, at least once a year every year and on nearly all occasions i walk down to the bottom of the pier and have a drink in this cafe. The cafe itself is exactly what you'd expect from being located at the bottom of a pier.... it's nothing special and it's not exactly like walking into the Ritz, no.However on a really hot sunny day, the cafe looks lovely, really bright etc :)The drinks are a little expensive and there isnt a huge choice of food to have, im pretty sure you only have the choice of either pasties or salads... maybe sandwiches too, but that's all. There's one lad in there who is the main cause for me liking to go there :')He's pretty and really friendly, so.... yeah.I recommend going here if you're under 30 and you like a good view... not necessarily on about the sea view.

I am gluten-free but arrived after the jacket potatoes had all been sold… Little chef Mo was a hero and cooked some chips which are gluten-free in a separate pan for me especially! The rest of the family had Panini‘s, a pizza and ham, egg and chips and all loved it. If you’ve been here sometime ago, then you’ll be glad to hear that it’s had a revamp and it looks really clean and tidy now and very smart well worth a visit.

We arrived at 6.00pm for a Sunday roast and the restaurant was very quiet so we decided to sit in the bar. It took a while to get someone to take the order and we informed the server that my wife was gluten free and that was not a problem. The roast dinner arrived and we looked at the roast potatoes which were well over cooked and tasted like they had been in the oven or under a hot lamp for far to long, the Yorkshire pudding was also dry and crusty. The dinner at best was Luke warm and my wife sent hers back to be heated up in a microwave. For the price of £17.95 it should of all been fresh and hot. We had been traveling most of the day so we were hungry and ate most of the dinner but we were very disappointed. The bar prices were also high £5.80 for a pint of cider. We have eaten here in the past and always found the food very good but will not be visiting again.
