The go to place for the pie needs! Once you go pieminster, you never go back 😁 The staff is very friendly and talks with genuine smile. The blue Stilton and moon pie is worth selling your soul for! 2 Camden ales on tap, so a decent regular beers for someone who wants something string with their pie. 10/10!

Absolutely loved my experience here as well as the fact they are dog friendly. Their service is immaculate and their range of different pies are to die for . Not to mention the cocktails are made to perfection 😍

The grub was okay it filled a hole. The price however, was not ok, I was over £20 for pie, mash and a soft drink. Not only was it overpriced, but I was also charged service fee when service was lacking. Blows my mind.

Yet again, I had the pleasure of eating at Pieminster. Wowee. What a night! The servers Anna and Amy were incredibly friendly and made me feel looked after from the very moment I sat down. Service was quick and the banter was even quicker! The food came out pretty quickly and was super hot and delicious. I went for the Deer and Beer option, with gravy, creamy mash and the coleslaw, which was extremely nice. The coleslaw was a nice change for me but next time, it’s got to be the mushy peas! I had a great time and the cocktails were a nice flavouring to the evening. The rum was very nice too and much appreciated from Anna. Atmosphere was top notch not least because of Anna and Amy being so accommodating and friendly.

Delish pie with so many options! Tbh, this is my very first dine-in pie in my life and I really loved it. Bought their steak & kidney pie and it's so well seasoned. Staff were very friendly and informed us they didn't have one of the menus. But overall its 10/10.

Arrived at this restaurant for a Sunday night visit. Food was good but staff on the other hand not so much. As a table we felt like we were being rushed out the restaurant and staff made no effort to hide the fact that they wanted us to go.

Five of us came in for lunch on Wednesday. Service was fantastic and the food was really good. Can’t fault this place, will be coming back.

Great range of choices on the menu, especially for vegetarians. Food arrived quick and all of the staff were incredibly helpful. Would definitely recommend.

Never would’ve thought of coming for bottomless brunch here but it’s been the best bb I’ve done in Manchester! We were served my Cameron and Dion on a busy bank holiday and they made sure we were topped up with drink for the whole 2 hours! The food was also great (shout out to Amy) will defo be returning! 10/10 experience!

Very tasty only down side i can think of is that the gravy in the chicken pie didn’t match with the gravy in the gravy boat but the beef pie was delicious

Beautiful pies. I had a pie with steak, Bacon, and red wine sauce, the Moolin rouge. The taste was amazing. The pie came with a side of gravy, and had the option for a side of mash. The service was also amazing, with the waiters being polite. They helped my mother (who barely speaks English) select her meal.

Lovely place for quality pie! They were able to cater very well to coeliacs and the pastry was very nice and didn’t fall apart, unlike some gluten free pastries. Our server was Anna, who was lovely and friendly. Very much recommended when in Manchester

You can enjoy cheap and delicious pie dishes. It was delicious, but the quantity was a little small.

I usually like pieminster but we had such a bad experience this time. The food took an hour to arrive and when it finally did it wasn’t great. The drinks we ordered (espresso martini) were awful; almost undrinkable. Meal for 4 cost £100, such a waste of money.

Wasn’t sure what to expect but I can certainly say I’ll be returning…food was amazing and the cocktails were top notch, The staff couldn’t do enough. A lovely relaxed atmosphere. I’ve worked in catering for over 20 years and I couldn’t fault the cleanliness or the overall experience, look forward to returning

The food quality was good and it was served at a good, hot, temperature. However the size of the pie, the amount of mash and the average service were poor overall value. Looking at the other reviewers photos it seems the filo pie I had was smaller than the standard pies but the price is the same. A filo pie + mash + tap water (for which there is a charge) came to £15.

Food was really good and very reasonably priced. Would def recommend but would not return to this particular store as the service was chronically slow. The chef was great and ended up serving a lot of food himself as the lad on the bar was like a zombie going 1MPH. Didn’t ruin our meal but was annoying to wait 30 mins for drinks.

Came to this venue before the theatre and glad we did. Sensational pies and to top it off they do the best home made Yorkshire puddings.

We tried to get in here for Saturday brunch but the queue was out the door. Instead we went back for Sunday lunch. It was a great experience. Pie , mash , Yorkshire pudding , gravy and veg. What a plateful. Food was hot and very tasty. We finished that off with sticky toffee and ice cream. Yum Yum. Food is very reasonably priced. Staff were friendly and welcoming. The restaurant is small so would recommend a booking if it’s a definite plan to visit. Highly recommended

Small but suggestive environment. Good food, shame the portions are small. After tasting the typical pies, I asked for the addition of mashed peas on the side, and for 7 pounds they brought me two tiny bowls, a spoonful of puree in total. I didn't like that without my knowledge they applied a 10% tip.

Dopo aver assaggiato i tipici pies, ho chiesto a parte, l'aggiunta di mashed peas, e per 7 pounds mi hanno portato due ciotole minuscole, un cucchiaio di purè in tutto. Non ho assolutamente gradito che a mia insaputa abbiano applicato il 10% di mancia.

We really enjoyed our dinner at Pieminister! We weren’t sure what to expect as it seemed a more casual place but there is still a full drinks menu and despite being a small location we were able to sit at a booth right away and have a nice meal. The pies were amazing and our server, Liam, was very friendly and enthusiastic. We tried two beef pies and the venison pie and everyone loved their meal. We also did the 3 appetizer deal and had the peppers, sausages and halloumi bites. Everything was really good. The peppers were a bit salty but we still enjoyed! Drinks were good as well. The Pedro Ximenez in the espresso martini was a nice unexpected twist! Definitely recommend this place for a casual bite before a night out or if you just want to try an English style pie. Oh and we appreciated the included gravy. It was spectacular!

If you pass through Manchester you must try their Pies! Fast service, hot and tasty dishes 🤩 Friendly waitresses and affordable prices. We will be back!

The servers were sat around not doing much. The good was mediocre. Mash cold. Yorkshire pudding stale. Gravy watery and bland.

We visited on a December week day, at tea time on a whim and we were seated straight away despite not booking. The staff members were friendly and happy to help but didn't pester which i appreciate! The food was great and we both enjoyed our meals, the mash was very nice! We'd definitely visit again

I was but a weary intoxicated traveller in search of nourishment and phone charge for my train ticket home. I ordered a beef and red wine pie, sat down and noticed the cocktail menu. Therein I noticed the sale of espresso martinis and ordered one.....15mins later I ordered another. Drinks, pie and hospitality and companionship of Sir Sexy Pie (knighthood appointed upon my visit) and Amy were an oasis in a night of colleague based drinking and conversation. If I haven't convinced you yet fair review scourer.....COME HERE, EAT PIE AND DRINK DRINKS. I'll be back Pieminster of Deansgate, your salvation has done me a fantastic service. EDIT: I purposely missed my allocated train to spend more time here with the fantastic staff, food and drink at expense to myself. This establishment is WORTH IT. EDIT EDIT: Hi Pieminster, sober Dale here. Thank you for accommodating me last night. I regret to inform you that any knighthoods, appointments or titles bestowed by Drunk Dale are not of royal decree and therefore have no standing. Drunk Dale left me a note this morning that I struggled to read but I think says "Banging pies go again". Great establishment, fantastic food. 5/5

Great pies, helpful and polite staff

Phoned to ask if there were tables before getting an uber from the other side of Manchester on a Christmas shopping day out. Seated straight away but service to order was extremely slow, so slow the family next to us walked out. Another table sent drinks back as they tasted horrible. When we did get served we were told that the majority of pies were unavailable. Eventually we walked out having wasted time and money on an Uber and had to try and find somewhere else.

Wow, what a place. I recall during the 90s when the building used to be a brothel, some seriously goofy nights out happened there. It’s now a pieminister, I’m fine with that. Food, brilliant. Service, outstanding. Music, perfect. I’ll tell you what, coming here really made me feel old, 20 years ago I was walking out on my wife and kids to come here, now I’m sat across my carer stuffing the creamiest mash I’ve ever had down my gullet. Brilliant, would recommend.

Popped into Pieminister before the cinema. Accomodated us for starters and pies. Service was friendly, quick and attentive without being annoying. Food is of a high standard and the place is really cozy. Faciities could do with a spruce up at the back of the service area as seem a little tired.

What a lovely place to eat! I had the vegan pie and it was absolutely delicious. My server andi did everything that she could to make me feel comfortable and took an efficient note of my allergies to ensure that they were met. Top quality service! Will definitely be returning. Thanks andi!

Just when I thought I'd emptied the sack for good pie joints in Manchester, this gem shines its pretty little face. Fantastic experience. Let me paint a picture for you: it's a bitingly cold December evening and me and the wife are famished. It's been a long day — two kids, a dog, a guinea pig with explosive diarrhea — the last thing either of us want to do is fire up the hob or oven and fumble our way through another janky recipe from that pillow-tongued culinary pirate Jamie Oliver. Enter Pieminister Deansgate, its open doors more inviting than a mother's warm bosom to a hungry suckling pig. Can I get an 'R' anybody? Because Pieminister's prices are r e a s o n a b l e. Myself and the wife were both well fed for under £40! I went for cheesy mash with my pie, but the Mrs. drew for mash original (one too many fungal infections have turned her firmly away from anything a little tangy on the taste buds). The atmosphere and staff were both sublime, too. They were smiley, welcoming, and each one I got the chance to sniff smelled great. Fast forward to late evening. I pull a pair of marigolds up to my elbows and set about the guinea pig's litter box. My nostrils are flush with the smell of hot excrement, but all I can think of are simpler times: potatoes, mushy peas, pie containing meat of the chicken. Pieminister Deansgate, you have my heart.

I visited last week, and was served by Amy. She was lovely and helpful, and understood the menu perfectly when I asked about Vegan offerings! Will definitely visit again! Food was amazing too, perfect Manchester cold day remedy!

Had a great afternoon, we had the festive bottomless brunch and it was a good price. We ended up having 5 cocktails each. Would recommend booking though as it was fully booked today turning people away

Dined in today and had some great food as well as really lovely attentive service from Cameron. He answered my many questions and was patient with me and my partner as we ordered. Food was pretty bland, only one server trying his best (he was lovely) to serve the whole place, some of the pies not available as they didn't get there delivery till the next day, the food came way too fast making it feel more like wetherspoons that a restaurant.

There are many places to go for eats around Deansgate, and yet me and my partner always find ourselves returning to Pieminister! The seating area is very warm and cosy, and the staff are a lovely bunch. They were just as kind, attentive and welcoming on a bustling Friday night as they would be at any other time of the week. Trinity, Amy and Cameron came together tonight and absolutely made our day. Our food came very quickly, was absolutely delicious, and the service exceptional. Thank you to each of the above members of staff for bringing big smiles to our faces, and fantastic food to our bellies!

Today's visit to Pieminister in Deansgate reaffirmed why this place remains my absolute favourite. The pies, as always, were a symphony of flavours - perfectly flaky crusts and fillings that hit every comforting note. The gravy deserves its own special mention - warming, comforting and goes exceptionally well with their whole menu. What truly stood out, however, was the outstanding service. Despite being visibly understaffed, the team worked tirelessly to ensure everyone felt welcomed and taken care of. A massive shoutout to Trinity, Amy, and Cameron, who went above and beyond to make our experience exceptional. Their warmth, professionalism, and ability to maintain calm under pressure were genuinely admirable. This combination of excellent food and a stellar team guarantees I’ll keep coming back. Thank you, Pieminister, for setting the bar so high, even on the busiest of nights!

Asked about the menu and sent the server into a meltdown because he didn’t know a single thing that I asked him. He didn’t know any drinks or anything about the food. I’ve literally just come out to treat myself on a Saturday night after working extra hours this week and, I am sorry if I’m wrong, but I feel that I am allowed to ask about a meal I’m about to pay £15 for without receiving an attitude from a worker that clearly hates his job. I asked for someone else. He then proceeded to bad mouth me to the rest of the staff in an open kitchen, plus it’s tiled so the sound echos. A nice enough girl came over, but obviously she privately sides with her colleague, which is fair enough, but poor service for me. Ordered a starter that came with the main. The pie was plain and the halloumi bites could’ve been used for pellets. Had to ask for my second drink after ordering it. Would’ve ordered dessert, but I decided to go to Frurt where I go often go and never receive a horrible service. Who wants to stay somewhere that they feel unwelcome? I never pay bill service charge anyway because I prefer to pay it separately and I was going to not tip at all but I appreciate that the girl who waited my table, albeit slightly strained and below par, saved me from the presence of the lad that wanted to boot my head off for asking about his preference of pie so I tipped her as a thank you for letting me having a semi-uncomfortable evening rather than a really uncomfortable one. If I’d have wrecked the restaurant, I would’ve understood, but I asked about drinks and pies and I don’t think I deserved the service I got because the servers took offence to this.
