Pieminister in Nottingham

Remember when British food was considered terrible? I'm old enough to remember such times, and I'm enjoying the renaissance. In this spirit, I ordered the most quintessentially British item on the menu - steak and kidney pie with mash and mushy peas. This is not your grandma's home made pie, but rather a hipsterish reimagination, and probably all the better for it. Presentation was excellent. Crust (which I think is puff pastry) is crispy on top and slightly soft elsewhere, just as it should be. Interesting finish on the top of the pie, with a smattering of rosemary. Meaty filling with just the right proportion of kidney. Even the mushy peas were exceptional. Service was attentive and quick, and at around 12 quid, I really don't have a bad word to say about my experience today. I'll definitely be back soon!

Absolutely shocking, disgraceful attitude by staff member over telephone, who hung up because they could not be bothered! Ordered 2 meals for Mother’s Day to be delivered, paid for extra gravy too. Food finally arrived freezing cold, with the bag full of the 3 pots of exploded gravy. Contacted the restaurant only to be fobbed off, refused to replace food, and then hung the phone up on us, because they had no intention of either discussing or fixing the problem. Spent£40 on 2 main courses which were inedible, even the microwave at home could not save my ruined Mother’s Day dinner. Thanks for your shocking customer service and inedible food!

I’ve fancied visited a Pieminister for a long time so when looking for somewhere to have a late lunch with my Daughter that catered for vegans in Nottingham city centre it certainly fitted the bill. ✔️ We ordered 2 different vegan pies as motherearths (came with gravy on a bed of mash, with garden peas and parsnip and kale fritters). One this isn’t chicken and bacon (non vegan daughter loved it and I thought it was pretty good too). And one mooless moo which was jackfruit steak, we halved and halved so we could try both. 😋 Filled us up and the drinks were nice. We had lemonade and sparkling elderflower. Definitely somewhere handy to visit for lunch as it’s very vegan friendly. 🌱💚 Also proof that you can have delicious food without the animal cruelty. ✔️

Beautiful food! The man who served us was extremely helpful and polite, he went above and beyond to make sure everything was just right. Loved the pies so much we bought 3 to bring back!

We arrived just as they were considering closing but they welcomed us in without any biligerence.Our waiter was Adam and he was lovely.Friendly and efficient without being rushy.Had time for a chat at the end so it felt relaxed.I've never been to a Pieminister before which is odd as I am partial to a pie. I was impressed by the mushy peas which were tasty, wasn't expecting just how tasty they would be. We had the Kevin pie which was wholesome and incredibly filling. I couldn't finish mine. A decent portion of gravy too. Value for money for sure and friendly staff. The restaurant felt safe : clean I would visit again and recommend to others.

The staff were really nice and attentive to our needs and the pies are lush from here can’t wait to visit again

Great food and service. First time visit for us and it was brilliant. I was blown away by the quality and taste of the food. My wife is vegan and she loved it. Finally found somewhere with a good selection of great hearty vegan food. Excellent value too will defo be back after lockdown.

This restaurant has exactly what is says above the door. Very simple menu with pie s, mash, peas and gravy. Service was quick and the food was good

The server helped me pick the best option for me his name was Adam, he was very professional and kind, he was so helpful. Highly recommended this food.

We really enjoyed the meal we had here. The food was excellent, well presented and very tasty. Excellent value for money too. There was a slight issue with delayed drinks, which our server Adam sorted out really quickly. We'd definitely visit again.

Food was yummy especially on a wet and rainy day. The waiter named Adam was very nice and made us feel welcome.

El restaurante estaba bastante lleno, no pude ver ninguna mesa vacía, excepto por las hermosas plantas que supongo que son para el distanciamiento social, las mesas adentro y afuera estaban llenas y noté que solo 3 personas sintieron pena por los pobres queridos, pero no afectó el la forma en que nos trataron la comida era tan deliciosa que incluso nos llevamos 6 pasteles a casa para contener mis antojos hasta la próxima vez que visitemos un saludo masivo a nuestro servidor Kas, estaba corriendo por el restaurante como un avión. Esta es la segunda semana que ' Llegué y Kas nos ha servido las dos veces. Es un tipo tan cálido y amable y una gran ventaja para su equipo en la sucursal de Nottingham. Estoy deseando volver a visitarlo y, con suerte, ver a Kas.

Called in here prior to a visit to the theatre, for some English Food.Service was with a smile and very prompt. The pies were varied on the menu and could suit many people.Only critique was the chips were a little crunchy and actually hurt my wifes gums! Otherwise it would have been an excellent visit. Thankfully i had the mash and mushy peas!Some nice ambience and different music, it was a good experience and if ever in the area would visit again.

Not a good experience, the restaurant has great curb appeal but lacked in customer service.It took a while after being seated to be asked what drinks we wanted. It then took another long wait for the drinks and one was missing. I couldn’t understand why there was a delay because there was only a handful of customers. When we got the food one order was wrong and had to be sent back, all the other food was just about warm. The chips were cold and the pies were just about acceptable.For some reason our starters and sides came out after the main meal. Didn’t understand why, the starters were very poor and definitely not recommended.Overall not the best evening meal, not sure I would go back again.

The pies tasted lush and they are forever doing different flavour/ingredient combos. Plus the loaded fries are very tasty they are a bit skinny but I do prefer chipshop thick chips (personal preference). Just a nice restaurant if you want to switch it up from eating the same cheeky nandos all the time

My son and his partner took me here to celebrate my birthday, all in all it was very nice although the onion rings could have been cooked a little more in my opinion as the onion was tough but the salt and pepper batter was very nice. Lovely choice of pies and the pastry was delicious very light.

So I was really looking forward to trying here ! But what a let down ! First of all, service was shocking , robotic and unfriendly and didn’t feel very welcome! I took 10 minutes to even get a menu, then a further 10 mins to get my drink when other customers who arrived after me got theirs. When the food arrived it looked pretty appetising however on this occasion looks we’re deceiving! The pie was ok (the only bit I enjoyed ) , the loaded fries which were supposed to have cheesy sauce had some random bright yellow Slimy goo which tasted like mustard , there was about 6 full spring onions and gherkins (even tho menu did not specify this item) was not impressed. The gravy was just instant granules. Pigs and blankets , onion rings were greasy and hard! I was not asked if everything was ok even though it was clear I had not enjoyed it due to the volume of leftover food ! Think your staff need a little refresher in hospitality and your food needs a serious improvement !

We went in on a day that the escape rooms were closed but they were kind enough to set it up for us anyway! We only had one day in Nottingham and I'm so glad we chose to go here, the escape room was great fun and a special shoutout to Kas for being the best host ever, very warm and friendly and helpful. 10/10 will go back and try the other escape room adventure. Thanks guys!

Our first visit.As a Coeliac I always struggle to eat out, but reading a few reviews and checking the menu I felt that Pieminister was worth a visit.On arrival a very cheerful waitress showed us to a table - which was a great position, not to close to other diners but not isolated either - the place was around 50% full.Our waiter for the evening (whose name I did not get - annoyingly) was great, explained how it all worked - provided me with the separate menu and put my mind at ease regarding the food. We ordered a couple of drinks whilst waiting; water was also provided.Loved the presentation of the food - in an enamel dish on a wooden board and a separate gravy boat - loved that.Pie was delicious and piping hot - my only critique was the pastry edge was a little crunchy - which for GF is blooming amazing - often the whole thing is crunchy - so well done to the pastry chef.Chips were freshly cooked and tasty.Followed up with Black Forest Ice Cream dessert - mine came in a cardboard tub - was very tasty and perhaps a slightly too large offering given the main course.The input from the waiter was perfect, checked from time to time we were happy / had all we needed, but did not intrude, was cheerful and chatty but not overbearing.Quirky decor - reclaimed floorboards on the walls and ceiling, plain wooden table - temperature was comfortable, no cold draughts when the door opened. Noise levels were great too - couldn't hear nearby diners, nor was it too quiet.A thoroughly enjoyable visit, will very happily return.

Good choice of basic food.Friendly efficient staff,good service.Premises are a bit dark for my taste,and the beer isn't that great,but all in all we enjoyed it.

Went for a Christmas do - and it felt like we were in a spoof Fawlty Towers restaurant - but not as funny. Staff hopeless - even though we had pre-ordered, all food came at different times, most was cold and had to be sent back - and the icing on the cake was the 'pigs in blankets' garnish on the vegan pie - I KID YOU NOT. Final straw was going into the FILTHY loos and seeing into the kitchen on the way back - which seemed only marginally cleaner than the loos, with boxes of something strewn all over the floor and a member of staff in what looked like really really filthy chef whites. DO NOT GO. NEVER NEVER AGAIN

We paid a visit on new years day and ended up with a very tasty 'Mothership', full of flavour and utterly delicious. The gluten free 'Free Ranger' was amazing and well recommended by the staff..thank you.

We visited this eatery as we wanted something to eat whiilst we were on a shopping trip in Nottingham. We were looking forward to a nice, hot pie that was crammed full of meat and flavour...not here.

Just met up with family for annual present exchange etc at pieminister what a mistake. Waited to be seated then ordered

Wow from ordering to being presented with bill 20 mins ..... we ordered and within 2 mins the food was slammed down on the table wasn’t even sure it was ours !!!!!

Visited with friends as it had been recommended to one of the party. Very few people dining. Ordered the Christmas venison pie. It arrived quickly. The pastry was so hard it was difficult to cut and even harder to chew. The filling was mushy but tasted OK. The whole place is painted a matt black and the floor is like rough concrete. I wondered how clean everything was on seeing the colour choice. The pot of tea was the best thing, but please get some milk jugs. The milk was brought in a smaller tumbler - impossible to pour without spillage. Would not go again or recommend to anyone.

Had a great lunch today with my mother. Lovely food and great service. We were very well looked after despite how busy it looked. Thanks to our waiter, Adam, who was very kind to us!

We visited this restaurant recently for our work Christmas party. Firstly I would have to say that the food itself was very tasty and I couldn't fault that. But the service left a lot to be desired.

We went in for a meal to be well greeted and seated. Service was swift. Foot piping hot, well presented and delicious. Prices were very reasonable. Would definitely return. Staff very helpful and attentive.

Went to Pieminster last night for our works Christmas meal and can honestly say the whole experience was terrible from start to finish. We had pre ordered our food however when we arrived were told the Cheddar Gourgeous option wasn't available (delivery hadn't arrived). Ok, these things happen so not a problem. Then the pies started to arrive (after almost 2hrs and despite numerous requests about when our food would arrive.) What a mix up this was, the vegetarian option came out with a pigs in blanket on top. One of our party is also a Vegan and when her meal arrived she asked to confirm it was Vegan and they took the pie away, only to return a short while later with what seemed to be the same dish with a Vegan flag stuck in it. 3 of our parties meals still hadn't arrived and numerous requests had to be made to get these meals. Needless to say they got their meals after everyone else had eaten. The pies were really dry as they'd obviously been cooked and standing a while and the stuffing balls were black. Our table was booked for 6pm and the last pies came out at 9pm so we decided to cancel our pudding order. It wouldn't have been so bad if we could get a drink while waiting for our meal however despite repeated asking we couldn't even get served drinks. So, so disappointing as I have been to Pieminster in Leeds and Birmingham and the food and service has been really good, hence choosing the Nottingham one for our Xmas meal. The excuse given by the very embarrassed staff was that they were short staffed and the till broke. To top it all, the Vegan amongst us was sick on the way home. I think I can speak for all of our party when I say we won't be returning to this restaurant again.

Visited while in Nottingham last Month. I'd had the Pies previously after ordering online, and was happy to see the restaurant on my travels.

Ate here on visit to Nottingham. On first occasion no chips so no fully loaded option. Disappointed and odd for a restaurant to be without chips but all otherwise OK. Second visit we now have chips but also a hair in my food. Told the waiting staff, whose hair it was. I received the fish again by which time my partner had finished their meal. But my own meal was taken off the bill. Whilst I appreciate this there was no apology. I was asked where the hair was, could I show it to the member of staff. I heard comments from the kitchen from the member of staff whose hair it was saying she should tie her hair back. But no apology. In fact she had been effusive when we arrived. Now ignored.

Thursday afternoon, 5pm, only 3 other diners in the restaurant. My self and my partner were greeted by a cheerful and smiling staff member who offered us a choice of seating areas. Seats taken, menus in hand our drinks order was taken. Swift service. And then...."we are sorry but we have no chips. Seriously? This is a restaurant that serves Pies. Chips go with pies. Now what makes this situation so galling to me is that my party of friends who came to the restaurant the week before had encountered the same "we are sorry but we have no chips ". Me and my partner cancelled our drinks order and left. One can't have a Fully Loaded with the chips Pieminster. 3 stars are for the lovely service and rustic decor

What a great restaurant this is one of the hidden gems that Nottingham has to offer, we had 2 servers one was named Kas and the other Crystal. They were both fantastic and really engaged with us as customers. I have never had a service like it the milkshakes are absolutely Devine and the puddings to match we ordered the new Black Forest dessert and the hidden cherry was a delight and added an element of surprise to our wonderful dessert. Overall this is our go to place and the portions are so generous especially on the fully loaded!

Came here for lunch with my friend. A girl called Lauren served us who was very lovely, however she was the only one in the restaurant and there was a lot of tables to serve and to clear. Only one waitress to take food out take orders, Deliveroo and clear tables?

Sat at a table next to the kitchen and service area. Had an extremely long wait for food. During this time listen to numerous waiters complaining about customers and arguing. Watched the chefs serve food straight from the freezer which would explain the tasteless food. Overall was a terrible restaurant experience and would recommend people to avoid as the food, service and whole experience is awful

Like the other review from today - very disappointing- waitress almost 15 mins for 1st order for drinks - and whilst they came a few mins after - another letdown - cold food - one was sent back - and when we requested some more gravy as we’d purchased bottomless gravy - they seemed shocked. The place wasn’t packed so would have expected more attentive staff - but didn’t seem wholly interested in customers - and yet it should be so easy to get right - come on pieminster

It is hard to know how a restaurant can get pie and mash wrong. But Pieminister suceeds in doing just that. The surroundings are dark, tired and somewhat sordid. The service is terrible. Staff are young women who presumably want paying but do not want to work for their money, preferring to spending their time idly chatting to one another. After a long wait our order was taken with the food ( that tasted like it had been waiting around for almost as long) served within a minute or two. It was cold and completely unappetising. We thought about having a dessert to take away the taste of the main course but, again, service had disappeared. Never again!

Tried the vegan option, but not impressed. The pie crust was neither soft like a puff pastry nor substantial like wholemeal pastry. I could not tell what the ingredients were in the pie, no particular taste. It came with mashed potato that was almost tasteless and peas that did not seem cooked. It is a shame because they have made an effort to offer vegan options. Most establishments that are not primarily vegan have the view that vegan food is bland and therefore you need to add sweet potato and/or beetroot in every dish, or to provide meat substitutes. I hope they will learn that this is not the case. I hope they improve and succeed.

Last time I visited, I was completely ignored by the waitress rudely spoken to which made my 5 year old daughter cry

We've been in a few times, and the pies are always really good, and the minty peas are amazing. And the Pie PA beer is lovely too.

have visited many times since opening and this was our go-to spot for a reasonably priced, quick lunch. But this was by far the worst visit. it took 15 mins for someone to take our drinks order, then after another 15 mins we had to chase the drinks before they arrived. Then, despite not being overly busy, there was a massive wait for our food, two items didn't come out (one of which when eventually brought out had been under a heat lamp so long, the melted cheese on top was a rock solid inedible layer... seriously, i couldn't even stab through it with my fork!), and the items that did come out together were all of varying temperature levels. my fully loaded fries were tepid at best, but we had waited so long for the food to arrive that i was so hungry i didn't complain and just ate the food. my friends onion rings were one giant mass of onion and batter. by the time the aforementioned mac and cheese side came out, my girlfriend had pretty much eaten her pie.

Chose to go on a Sunday as an alternative to a Roast dinner and from really good previous experience we chose to go back to Pieminster.

My best friend and I ate at the restaurant on Thursday as part of the £1 mothership deal I had been alerted to via email. Having booked painlessly online I was very excited for our lunchtime treat.

Today was the second visit here in the last two months.

Came in last night for a takeaway pie. Greeted almost immediately and food cane super quick. Best drunk food on the way home on the tram and still great as a hangover breakfast this morning. Loved it!

Took advantage of the bottomless brunch. Oh my days. It was delicious I had the bangin bean skillet the the other half had the morning glory. I was a bit dubious about the bottomless drinks deal because I’ve been to other places where the waiting staff gave you a good ignoring!! This was not the case here, the duty manager and her staff were attentive and chatty and the drinks were flowing. Would definitely visit Pieminister again.

Popped in here for lunch as I like pies and was not disappointed.Good choice of different pies and nice mash and peas with good cheese topping.

I loved my pie here! I had mushroom and asparagus and it was absolutely delicious. I literally couldn’t have wished for a nicer pie- perfect pastry, lovely creamy filling and a generous portion. The peas and mash were under seasoned but tasted fine with some salt on. Thought it was a bit weird that the freezers weren’t working so we couldn’t have the milkshakes / sundaes that we’d promised the children, but couldn’t be helped I suppose. Some of my group didn’t like the gravy at all, but I didn’t bother with it. Lots of pies to choose from and plenty of variety means everyone was happy!

Ate here on a Sunday where you get the Sunday lunch extras. Good sized portion and a lot of choice of fillings. Fast service and reasonably priced. Would definitely go back. Vegan friendly too

Ate here on a Saturday night. Pies were top notch, with a pretty decent selection to choose from. There's also a good choice of the standard pie-related sides too (homemade onion rings worth a mention).

Regular at Pieminister, except tonight it was closed for a private party. Maybe twenty people there so they could easily have sectioned off part of the restaurant, but no got turned away. Not impressed

I had the Heidi mothership meal and it was the most tasty pie and delicious mash I’ve ever had! It all just went together so well. The staff were really friendly, service was professional and prompt. The 2 for 1 cocktails were an added bonus. Cannot wait to return!

Brilliant escape room experience - went with friends on a stag do. Excellent staff & very enjoyable.

We visited here on a Sunday lunchtime and ordered a beef and Stilton pie with two sides and a chicken and tarragon pie as part of their Sunday lunch deal that comes with extra trimmings. The pies came the wrong way round but we swapped those easy enough. The food was nice and hot(but nothing special) so can’t complain however my main problem was with the ambience.

We went here for the umpteenth time as we have only every loved the food. This time when we arrived and asked for a meal we were told they were short staffed and service would be a little longer.

We had our wedding anniversary yesterday, 13th June 2019 and decided to have our meal here after hearing rave reviews. We were so disappointed! We had a pot of tea, the waitress said she would come back with more water for a top-up, she didn't. We waited for ages for our food, we ordered the gluten free option. It was luke warm, the gravy was as thin as water, and the fries were drowned in salt- I avoid salt due to high blood pressure. Sorry, but we weren't impressed overall.

The service I received in pieminister nottingham on Monday the 10th was amazing! Me and my friends just got there just before 7 and was enquiring about the cocktails as we didn’t want to miss out on 241 the waiter that introduced himself his name was Kas I believe was a brilliant host and a great asset to your team there at pieminister! He sat us down and told us about 241 cocktails and to grab the deal whilst we had time which is exactly what we wanted so managed to get the cocktails for our date night!

Last time we dined at Pieminister back in March we didn’t have the greatest time. Luckily this week we went back for another visit at lunchtime and were super impressed. The food was delicious as always and the service was second to none. Pieminister has always been a favourite of mine and my other half’s and now our three year old loves eating here too. The milkshakes were amazing as always and those crispy onions... yum!! Thanks we will be back!

Had some friends visiting Nottingham and we were trying to think of what to eat one Thursday evening. One of the party was Vegan which was limiting the choices and we ended up going to this restaurant which none of us had been to before.

We have eaten here quite a few times and it was one of our favourite places to eat. However this time it was utter chaos. The service was horrendous for food and drinks. We waited nearly 1 hour for our food. 3 wrong dishes came to us and were sent back. Was told our chips order was too big for the frier so had to wait. 4 portions of chips come on really. The starter came out with all the main meals. We had to chase our drinks orders various times. The staff literally did not have a clue what was going on. To top it off the waitress told us a dis count had been deducted from our bill due to the wait but when we totalled it up there was no discount deducted until we challenged it. Come on pieminister what has happened to the place. Sadly we will not go back and would not recommend.

This was our first visit to pieminster Nottingham and probably the last! We went as part of a wedding party and the food was pre-ordered. When we arrived we were kept waiting for the table and it was chaos due to it being so busy!

We visited here on 27th April at 5pm. We had reserved a table so were shown straight to it, drinks ordered and food ordered. Service was a little slow with drinks but nevertheless they arrived. Food arrived shortly afterwards and wow the food was amazing! One of the best pies I’ve ever had! All the group were happy with the mains. As we requested the bill the fire alarm sounded and everyone was escorted professionally and safely out of the restaurant. Staff dealt with this extremely well and I will certainly be returning for more amazing food at a very very good price. Thank you very much!

Wow! This is a truly lovely place with excellent pies.

When I get to go into the city centre, I like to treat my self to lunch. This is my go to place and I need to be careful about too much of a good thing.

We popped in here as we hadn’t experienced Pieminister before. We won’t be bothering again.

For £10 I got a lot for my money. Overall was pretty tasty. Went around 2pm and was seated right away, was full the rest of the day. Wasn’t terribly busy but took FOREVER to get the bill and even a long time for someone to come back for us to pay.

To say pies are supposed to be a specialty you would expect them to be far far better than they are. I am reasonably confident that they are frozen and then microwaved as the crust was very still and the pies were delivered so quickly. The fries and onion rings were quite nice to be fair but the pie was very poor.

Been to a few Pieministers in various towns and cities throughout the UK, in fact we have a Pieminister in my home town of Liverpool which is superb and so is this Pieminister we visited in Nottingham.

What an exceptional establishment, so many standard burger/steak restaurants in Nottingham, we fancied something different for my Dads birthday. Looked online at the menu and was instantly impressed with the pricing and variety of pies and sides so I went in and booked a table for 7, my partners Mum is registered blind and has a guide dog and they we’re more than happy to accommodate our extra needs. On arrival we we’re shown straight to our table with extra guidance being given to my partners mother, while we looked through the menu and choosing our food and drinks they brought a dish of water over for our 4 legged friend without us even having to ask! We ordered our starters and mains, drinks arrived swiftly and was soon followed by our starters. The food was hot, fresh and delicious! I highly recommend the Pork Scratchings and Hollumi Fries. We finished our starters and then 10 mins later our mains we’re ready and brought to us, again food was hot, fresh and by far the best Pies I’ve ever eaten, the whole family enjoyed every meal and all plates we empty by the end.

First time at Pieminster.The atmosphere was lovely the food great will definatly go again . we were served by Ellis ,lovely friendly guy made you feel at home .

I came here with some friends a couple of nights ago and we had the best time! We were served by Elisa who absolutely made our night. The food was great, the Chooks Away is unbelievable! I can't believe its vegan! We shall definitely be coming back!

Went for a meal on the way to the theater. The place was busy but they found us a table and quickly and pleasantly took our order. our drinks promptly arrived. After 50 mins of waiting we chased our food, 10 mins later it turned up. My wife's pie was not the one she ordered, the waitresses went and changed it. Her mash didn't return but we was in a hurry by this point. We eat what we had. My pie was good, but the mash was all most watery, not at all nice. The peas where tasteless. Paid and left

First there was ‘Kevin’, now there’s ‘Chooks Away!’ as Pieminister expand their vegan options to include a “chicken” pie made with tofu, seitan, celeriac, garlic and sherry. A ‘Mother Earth’ sees it served on a bed of champ and peas, and topped with a (delicious) parsnip and kale fritter. It’s filling and tasty and I hope it never goes away!

Thursday night pre-theatre, so very early evening. Only a few other diners.

First time I have visited here or this chain but how fabulous it was

Don’t bother eating in here - the service is really poor, disinterested waitresses, no manners or desire to give good customer service. Pies are really tasty.

The pies are really tasty and the sides were nice too. Would have enjoyed it more if we didn’t wait for so long. Had to threaten to leave then got served quicker. Isn’t the cheapest place too.

Me and my boyfriend visited on Saturday 19th and was served by a girl with blondish curly hair tied up, I have never had any complaints with the service until this occasion. She was rude and spoke over me when I asked for something, I felt belittled and quite frankly extremely uncomfortable. No one came over and asked if everyone was okay, I tried to catch the eye of anyone to ask for a takeaway box and the staff seemed to walk straight past without even looking at us and in the end I had to get up and ask for one.

Came here a couple of weeks ago for my first time and I’m sad that I didn’t find this place sooner! By far the best pie I’ve ever tasted and who knew there were so many choices! Great service from start to finish even though a little busy the waitress was patient in explaining how the menu works as I had never been before. Overall it was amazing and I highly recommend! I will definitely be back as I now have to make my way through every pie!

Been here twice this week (once for a friends birthday and once with work) and the service has been outstanding both times. Staff were tentative and made sure we always had whatever we needed, Danny was especially great on Saturday evening

Great place, it was very clean! The staff were very friendly and helpful when trying to pick what to chose of the menu. I will definitely be returning.

Had a pie called blue and moo. Tasted amazing. Pastry slightly hard but full of moo.the food came quicker than the wait to order . The staff need to ne more attentive as tbe service was poor .

We'd been looking forward to visiting this restaurant for a while mainly due to its varying gluten free options. Our orders were taken quickly and drinks were delivered promptly by a very nice waitress, unfortunately this was where the positives ended. Not only did we have to wait 45 minutes for our meals to arrive (we were not advised there would be a wait) we also had ring side seats to a shouting match between a waitress and a chef...i can understand the kitchen can get heated but when its an open kitchen and the dinera can hear all about it, it does not make for a good experience. Tarnished by this we waited optimistically for our meals...the pies, to their credit were good as were the loaded chips...the gravy however was inedible and tasted like it had been made with kitchen cleaner...we paid and left as soon as we good. All in all a bad experience...bad atmosphere, slow service and inedible gravy...unfortunately we will not be going back to Pieminister Nottingham.

Visited here several times with my mum. My mum and I thought the staff were very helpful and friendly in seasonal recommendations and suggestions.

We went for a meal before going to the pantomime .the pies are amazing the mash potato wonderful and so was the gravy will defiantly go again

Went in with my family for dinner, service was quick and our waitress was lovely she recommended the Matador pie (yummy) :) for myself and the Moo and Blue for my husband. It was definitely worth it and was a good price. We can not wait to come back we have already booked in for Sunday Best.

Been here a few times recently with different groups and while the food is good the service has been absolutely terrible every time.

Really enjoyable meal with a good atmosphere on Saturday evening. Nice selection of pies, very tasty! Good value!

I am truly disappointed at the service provided at your establishment on the 17th December 2018. I was looking forward to enjoying a good festive meal with my colleagues having chosen Pie Minster over a number of other well-established eateries in the area.
