The cafe has changed recently and now makes up a good variety of very interesting sandwiches to order. The soup/sandwich deal is good. Plenty of healthy options, and everything very fresh.

Can’t believe I haven’t known about this before now! Met a colleague for coffee which was lovely, and on the way out I was tempted by the delicious looking sandwiches and salad boxes. I opted for ‘the hummer’ salad box. Very tasty and fresh! The next day I had to go back, and this time I went for a ciabatta, in ‘the hummer’ again and it was incredibly tasty and filling. The girl serving kindly spoke through the set up - nothing is made onsite due to size, but one of their other locations in town, makes them and brings them along around for lunch. This will be a limited selection of their menu. However, if you like something else on the menu, you can place your order by 10.30am and they will bring it along with the delivery. I think this is a great option for those who want to lunch here regularly. On both occasions I didn’t order and was still pleased with the selection :) Cakes look great too...next time!

Arrived at 1.15, little food left and distinctly cool / minimalist single syllable counter service bordering on the rude. Can you make a sandwich - no. What do you have - read the writing, do you have ice - no. shocker

great sandwiches, great cakes, excellent coffee, friendly staff, bright and quite spacious space. Definitely favourite place for lunch around the area. I especially love the coffee because they're very valuable and match my taste very well. Love the atmosphere, esp. on a sunny day, could be be busy but never over crowded.

I went to piece with my friend. It was a small coffee shop with some hot food. The best thing are the value of coffee and food!

I love this wee haven for lunch. They do amazing sandwiches, soup and snacks but most of all the coffee is to die for and the staff are lovely.

Ok. I admit I am a fussy eater. So this just wasn't the place for me. Just started a new job at this end of the city, needed something for lunch and a colleague suggested Piece. They do a range of rolls and soups everyday. And what they have on display is all they have. All pre made, so cannot ask for 'no mayo' or make any adjustments to your roll. Rolls were just too fancy for my taste, so wanted the soup and a dry roll. But as the rolls are all premade they don't have any plain dry rolls available! Staff were very friendly though, and didn't have any issue with my colleague and I sharing the lunch deal. So I got the soup and she took the anti-pasta roll. At £5.50 for a soup and roll though....it's very expensive.

I go to piece at least once a week on my lunch break, and it's a great place for a quick and filling meal. Their sandwiches are always fresh and soups are inventive too. Their coffee is spot on and it's all reasonably priced. Beyond this, the atmosphere is great with shared tables in a canteen-like layout and always fitting music. The staff are always super friendly even when they are busy which is great, and they clear up fast and always have good recommendations. Having worked in coffee for years and visited most of the cafes in Glasgow this is probably my favorite for lunch!

Tucked away off the beaten track, I was very pleased to discover this great little cafe. As well as seating for about 30 (I guess) inside it also has outside seating. The cafe is very clean and feels light and airy. The menu looked good -as did what I could see others eating- but I just had time for a coffee and a pastry (for a total of £3 only). Cheerful service as well - I will happily return.

Walked (10+ mins) to find Piece & was delighted with what I found: a smart cafe / coffeehouse that offers extremely good sandwiches and tasty coffee too. I had a beef ciabatta & a brie baguette... their sandwiches with a 2 for £5.50 deal are very tempting ... washed down with a black Americano. Worth the effort from the City Centre. All in, a delight.

We had a lovely time in the cafe which despite being quiet managed to maintain a relaxed atmosphere. I only had snack (tea and a lemon muffin) but both were delicious. Our meeting lasted 2 hours and the staff were super helpful and didn't hassle us at all. All in all a very good experience. The only draw back was the lack of chai tea, but plenty of herbal varieties to choose from!

I've been here a few times and it never disappoints. The sandwiches are delicious, even the simplest filling tastes lovely and fresh. The cakes are also very tasty (if you have room!). Lovely staff. It's quite small but there are seats outside.

The recently opened spot is a total gem. Great location and very friendly staff are a bonus, but it's the food that clinches the deal. Excellent choice of soups, salads and sandwiches every day. A real treat and if it seems a little on the pricey side, remember you get what you pay for. Quality lunch!

Situated on the ground floor of the iconic new Inovo Building, this cafe adds real value to one of Glasgow's most exciting areas. Next door to the TIC, where inventive people from many disciplines will work together in Strathclyde University's dynamic new research and knowledge exchange facility, the creative team at Piece bring their own inventiveness to their new outlet. They describe themselves as "sandwich-mongers" (sellers of sandwiches), and this is accurate for their Inovo location, but hides much of what they do behind a veil of modesty. Their sandwiches are made at their own Miller Street cafe, and all the cooked ingredients are prepared at their Finnieston premises. I'd offer them the more distinguished description "sandwich-smiths": they don't just sell pre-packed putty, they make fresh and delicious food and sell it to an eager public. They make good coffee too. Almost as if they were unsure of the 'hit' that would be delivered by an espresso, they put a chocolate covered coffee bean beside the cup. They needn't have worried, but the extra bitter crunch of the coffee bean was well appreciated by an old man. Today I had a surf and turf sandwich, espresso and a glass of iced water; £5 the lot. (If you approach the building on George Street, Piece @ Inovo is on the ground floor, round the back).
