Best vegan pizza I've had, such a shame they're having to move. Lovely atmosphere and staff.

Cant believe I haven’t been to this vegan spot before! Highly recommend the garlic knots as pictured (and the coffee is surprisingly good for a pizza shop!) Staff are really accommodating and lovely, there’s a real community feel about this place. Will be back!

What a great discovery on a recent trip to Southend. Fantastic selection of pizza toppings, and all plant based. All pizzas are made fresh to order, so you can add extras, and even order half and half (a pizza with 2 different toppings on each side!). Nothing was too much trouble. Lovely and friendly service, in a relaxed atmosphere. Just wish we were local - we'd be in there all the time!

It took the four of us a while to decide our choices of pizza. There's a lot to choose from, plus combinations. The staff were so helpful and patient with us. Food, service and atmosphere exceeds five stars. I'll definitely be back next time l'm in Southend. P.S. don't forget the Herby Chips.

I would have ordered everything on the menu but there were just 5 of us. Best Mac ‘n’ Cheese, fantastic pizza crust and choice of toppings and great to find a restaurant in England that has corn dogs on the menu, so good. The staff were friendly and accommodating and it was nice to have the option to eat in. I wouldn’t change a thing, well maybe location, I would love a Pie Hole Pizza in Cambridge. A wonderful find during our short stay in Southend.

I am newly vegetarian, my partner is vegan. Having so recently eaten "normal" pizza I can safely say this is nearly indistinguishable and more importantly, so so tasty. You'd think a pizza with mac n cheese on top would be way too stodgy, but it was delicious! The "chicken" tenders are also really good - they look a bit strange, but are a perfect substitute for the real thing.

I love this place! Everything is made fresh to order and tastes amazing. I think it's very, very reasonably priced for what it is and they often do deals so you can eat out on a lower budget. The service is always great and it's always a lovely vibe here.

Stumbled across this little treasure find and will certainly be returning. Best pizza I’ve had in years. We had half and half plus shared a corn dog and Nacho Mac and cheese. The food was to die for and the mac and cheese was so yummy! The service was great and the staff very pleasant and accommodating. 100% a little vegan gem.

Fantastic food and service. We had a pizza with two different toppings which were both lovely. We also tried a couple of sides which were all really tasty- especially the garlic knots. These are were outstanding! If you great pizza with a great taste you must visit here.

Customer service really is next level. Very friendly place to be. However - as someone who isn't vegan the pizza is a decent pizza compared to regular pizza and nothing to write home about However - the cheese you would struggle to tell is vegan. I can imagine as a vegan this has to be one of the best options out there. However - it is massively expensive coming in at £20 for a medium and a side. I understand supporting small business and I love to do it but at the price point it isn't sustainable - However you do get a great portion for the price. I opted for the mac and cheese and margarita style pizza. The mac and cheese wasn't as rich as I would have expected it to me. The base was however very pleasant. The owner - don't know his name is a top guy.

Enjoyed a really tasty pizza here after a long day out. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the environment / decor inside the place is ace! The garlic dip was also excellent. Would highly recommend.

This place is better than most pizza places I’ve been. Fresh dough, fresh ingredients and absolutely huge portions. It’s a fantastic restaurant for vegans and non-vegans alike. Also great banter from the staff and owners. Top notch

Best pizza in Southend. Love all the topping options but in the photos are my faves the mac and cheese and the frite-za. The dough balls are heaven! (Def recommend trying the marmite ones too) And the knish was delish 😋 100% vegan but you don't miss the meat. Service is excellent and the atmosphere is chill and cosy. Highly recommend giving piehole a try whether you're vegan or not!

Pizza was unreal! I'm a meat eater but have wanted to try here for a long time. Did not disappoint!! I would have given more than 5* if I could. Wish I'd ordered more. YUM!

Visited here again as I heard it was under relatively 'new' ownership. I am please they have kept the menu the same with just a few additions. My husband and I shared a seitan, cheez and potato knish to start which was a special. We opted for ours fried with garlic sauce, but you can have them baked (and apparently the buffalo sauce is better with the baked). We also shared a Rock Out with Your Broc out- a beautiful vegan pizza, topped with predominately broccoli, but other veg including sweetcorn and mushrooms. This was delish and we opted for a medium sized and it was more than enough for the two of us. What is really great about this place is that it is also dog friendly. Rafa was given a very warm welcome. They were quite quiet inside, but I could hear they were busy with takeaways (Saturday night). We enjoyed a bottle of red stripe each with our dinner, and under £30 for the two of us on a Saturday evening is a bargain. They have one, gender neutral toilet, which was clean, and there is unlikely to ever be a huge queue as the venue is quite small. Will definitely return again soon.

So delighted that this place is still running. It's the #1 vegan pizzeria in Southend. The food was amazing. I spent so much time speaking to the owner, I let the pizza go cold but it was still amazing. Have a look at the menu, they don't just do amazing pizzas!

The best pizza in England! Nacho Mac n Cheese was to die for. The first time trying corn dogs are the best time. The herb chips were perfectly cooked.

As someone who take his pizza VERY seriously and rarely dabbles in any form of veganism. It is safe to say I was extremely surprised when I was told that it wasn’t actual cheese. The combination of flavours brought me joy and it was money well spent. The medium sized pizza is very generous size and great value for money. My cow sensitive friend (lactose intolerant) said this is the best vegan pizza he has had. Will be returning. Handshake, 10/10.

As a lactose intolerant man who dabbles with veganism, I was very happy to find out that all the pizzas here are vegan! My none vegan chum couldn’t even tell that the cheese was not actually cheese of the cow kind. Great choice of different flavours, perfect base and the cheese to sauce and topping ratio was spot on. The Margareta passed the test with flying colours also. Plus, the medium pizza is larger than any usual large pizzas, so amazing bang for your buck ontop of everything else. Great pizza! and I'm neither vegan or a veggie. Apprehensive at first to try it out after being recommended to go but it was delicious.

I have enjoyed both an eating in and taking out experience from Pie Hole. 100% vegan, the best pizza on the menu in my opinion is the Rock out with your broc out- Broccoli on a pizza is an absolute revelation! The mac and cheese is also very tasty. I wasn't so keen on the BBQ pizza, but I am not a big fan of BBQ sauce on a pizza anyway (wasn't my choice!) You wouldn't know it is vegan cheese as it is very authentic in its taste. Final point is that it is delightful that the venue is dog friendly (inside) so is an 'all the family' experience.

I couldn’t give it more stars! I absolutely love this place - I’ve been coming here regularly since it opened. Everything I’ve ever had from here, eat in, takeaway or delivery has consistently been excellent. George and the team are so friendly and truly take pride in what they do. Stumbled across this little pizza joint right outside Southend central station while visiting a mate. Closest thing to vinnies nyc pizza I’ve come across in the uk and it’s vegan ! Had my fist corn dog here having yearned for a vegan version for many years and it does not disappoint . Lovely staff , lovely food , deffo recommend

The very best thin crust pizza I have ever tasted and I would never have know it was vegan! Absolutely delicious pizzas, very light, lovely flour dusted crust, not heavy pizzas and very tasty toppings with clever sauces. Great attention to detail, George is a talented and conscientious chef who will make your visit relaxing and fulfilling. Highly recommended, visit as soon as you can, you will not be disappointed.

Just outside Southend Central Train Station. Gorge and his dad starting a fresh Italian style proper pizza's. Designed for vegetarians and also do meat pizza's. Something good and fresh for Southend. Highly recommend and awesome for dining in with kids. They are fantastic people and I wish them all the success for the future.

Absolutely amazing pizza which exceeded expectations! I am not vegan and can't deny I was very sceptical of vegan cheese, but George has absolutely nailed it, simply delicious. Creative choice of toppings and I have to give a shout out to big Al the dough man extraordinaire!! Simply the best base I have ever had, so thin but with a lovely crust you can actually eat, and enjoy, lol! Highly recommend and wish the team the success they deserve!!

Amazing find in Southend. This is a down to earth family run place who looks after their customers. We had restrictions to onion and garlic and the owners kindly made up a fresh batch of pizza sauce just for us! They even understood the reason and our yogic practises ❤️ The kids were very happy and big one was attacking slice after slice, including her personal favourite - mac and cheese pizza!

I find myself very sad every time pie hole is shut I haven’t had their pizzas, garlic knots or the vegan Mac and cheese in awhile but I can’t wait till I have it again. The staff and owners are very friendly and always good for a chat. Absolutely love this place 🙀😍

I (lactose intolerant flexitarian) went last night with my partner (carnivore) and another couple (1/2 vegetarian- 1/2 carnivore). We went 4 quarters on a large pizza for variety and each one was absolutely amazing. Even the carnivores were highly impressed. It wasn’t good for being vegan… it was good full stop. The garlic dipping sauce took the pizza to an 11. The cheese blend is out of this world. The staff was also phenomenal. Very friendly and informative. We were raving about it all last night and into the morning. Highly recommend and will definitely be back.

Literally the nicest pizza around, whether you’re vegan, vegetarian or not it’s better than any other pizza you will find. My daughter loved the pizza from here. The root beer was also great. The owners are really friendly and welcoming too.

I have seen nothing but positive reviews of the Pie Hole and thought well this must be all vegan hype. So after getting a discount from Uber I thought I would give them a go.i ordered the Spice Spice Baby with a side of Mac and Cheese, my friend had a side of Mac and cheese and some Garlic Knots. I have been a vegan for 30 years and had some really good and really bad pizzas amongst other things. My pizza last night was, by a long shot, the best vegan pizza I have ever had. The flavours, the light, thin base, the size were all on point. The garlic knots were out of this world and the Mac and cheese was a flavour heaven. There is now no reason for me to try the other outlets as this place sits way above the other places I have been using to get my pizza fix. The service was great and I feel guilty for using an Uber discount😞 I will be back.👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

This place is tucked away from the High street in a quite pocket of town. The slices of are big New York style. I had the basic cheese and tomato slices & were very tasty. There is a great red brick wall part of the station house of the train station opposite the pizzeria. Will definitely be going back.

What warm and wonderful customer service, a supercool place. The best pizzas really 10 stars and I was just thinking why don't we have a purely vegan pizza shop with amazing variety of flavours while riding in the bus..and I stepped down and found this on the way unexpectedly. Also the mac and cheese is amazing!

Absolutely amazing place, really great staff that go out their way for customers. I work in retail and these guys really do customer service well, always so welcoming and even phone you to let you know if your delivery is going to be late. I've already tried 4 different toppings! My Neck, My mac is my favourite😂 Their pizzas aren't the only things that are tasty though, the garlic dough knots and mac & cheese are also top notch 👌🏻 Thanks guys keep up the hard work!!!

Visited Pie Hole today and was blown away as usual. I’ve ordered a few times since they’ve opened and the food is always incredible! This time we’ve opted to go in and eat in their garden area. Despite the delicious pizzas and sides, the atmosphere is so lovely there! The staff were very friendly and chatty as always, so accommodating and made us feel welcome. Can’t fault these guys for anything, will definitely be ordering regularly 🍕 🙌🏼

Great pizza, great vibe. I definitely recommend the burger pizza, crazy how good that is! This pizza is so good, you really cannot tell they are vegan! I know a lot of people are put off by vegan pizza, but as someone who loves non-vegan pizza I am here to say do not let it out you off!! The base's are thin and crispy with that authentic stonebake taste, and the cheese is soooooo good 👌 In my opinion, these are the best pizzas in Southend! Huge portions, great tastes, great hosts, great price, try it, you will not regret it!

Delicious varied pizza options, with a selection of drinks too. Possibly the best vegan pizza I've ever had. We were so pleased to find this place when visiting Southend. There's a funky courtyard with outdoor seating and lighting. The owners were really friendly, and replied quickly when we enquired about booking a table outside. Would 100% recommend and come back.

I booked Pie Hole for lunch as some vegan friends were visiting. The owners were really friendly and helpful and responded to our messages about booking very promptly. The pizzas - wow! I am not vegan and I can honestly say I would choose this pizza over other non-vegan ones I have had. The toppings and doughy crust were just amazing. I would thoroughly recommend this place hope to visit again soon.

Well, we have just finished eating our first order and are more than impressed. Delicious pizza. Actually the best vegan pizza we have tried. They were huge, but the dough so light that we managed to eat more than we expected. Don't Ledou the crime and rock out with your broc were our favourites. We will definitely be back for more. We tried this out for the first time at the weekend. The pizza was delivered quickly and the toppings were tasty. The dough was good but ours were slightly too soft in the middle. Would definitely give this another try again soon.

Hands down the best pizza I've ever had!! Recently became vegan and I've always struggled to find a good vegan pizza. Had the peperlony and everything about it was fab. Cheese was spot on and the seitan peperoni :O

Really great flavourful pizza and great customer service - our order was incorrect but they sent out the correct one and said not to worry about the wrong one! Would definitely eat from them again and definitely grab a slice if passing by! Really great to have something a bit different. 👌🏼

Incredible! We travelled 30 minutes last week, as we have heard such brilliant reviews. They were not wrong! The best pizza I have ever had! So fresh and amazing flavours, the garlic dough balls were out of this world as we’re the Corn dogs! Really nice staff, pizza was huge and tasted great, nice thin base. The garlic dip sauce was really nice, they should sell it separately in bottles. Lost a star for being the most expensive pizza I’ve ever bought (by far). For 2 people wanting a pizza and drink expect to spend £25 here and that’s if you’re sharing.

I was so excited to try this place when I first heard of them opening in Southend. After trying their pizza, I was so impressed with the taste and quality of the toppings. Definitely the best vegan pizza I’ve had and by far the biggest at 20 inches!! The menu has lots of cool flavours too which is so nice to have some variety. I’m excited to try the rest!😍 Highly recommend.

Coming from a meat eater we were pleasantly surprised how SUPER tasty their vegan pizza is! Made me feel healthy and guilt free eating a takeaway! Great vibes with the owners Dan and Laura too, we will definitely be making it our new Friday night ritual!
