Best Kebab in Southend-on-Sea

Used to be the best sadly not anymore. Must of changed hands as it definitely isn't the same. Food went in the bin along with the money I wasted...

Use to be really good bit rude on the phone aswell food standard has dropped not sure if has had a change of hands. Photo below is of the fillet burger....don't know where the other half of the chicken is 🤣

Not the best kebab. Just the most expensive. And the saltiest. And the oiliest. Lamb meat should be a delicate pink colour, tonight's delight was so dark it was almost black. Salad was fresh and fragrant with mild onions. 🐑

Wow. The lies the lady told me on the phone about my delivery. I called them and asked where’s my delivery as it’s late to be told the delivery man was waiting outside like I wasn’t waiting half an hour. Yes so I don’t get a delivery

Lived in Leigh-on-Sea for 43 years and this isn't in leigh, but it's better than all the Leigh-on-Sea kebab shops, as well as southend.

I always ordered large doner kebab from them, with delivery, before the portion was normal, but lately, they started to put very small, although it is large, I will not order from them anymore👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻

Bought some food from here for the first time , and it should be my last time also. Worst food and pathetic customer service. High in price compared to other kebab shops.

Delivery over 20 minutes late cheesey chips like warm pizza burnt on 1 side dough not cooked .. so bad its been thrown In a skip.. absolutely awful

The name says it all - Really is the Best Kebab in Southend. Delivery has always been very quick and arrives hot - Highly recommended! Chilli sauce is delicious.

At 11pm at night I ordered 2 x mixed kebabs for myself & friends - which arrived at the hotel we were staying at, in reasonably good time so no complaints there but OMG the food was disgusting! We paid out £35 for 2 x chicken shish & doner kebab & this was definitely a waste of money!! For me personally this has to be the worst I have ever had. My friends weren't too impressed either. I never got to read the reviews before ordering but having seen them now, I cannot understand how they have been rated so highly. Ok the portions were large but the meat was so tasteless. We threw away most of it. Honestly, I was not happy to have wasted so much money on such crap! I am so glad I don't live around there or have any plans to visit again >I would definitely not recommend this Kebab place to anyone.

I’ve searched long and hard for pizza this good. Rome ain’t got “nufin” on my guys, cooking up the best kebabs and pizza known to the whole of Essex. Shout out to my man Mo✌🏻

Ordered for the first time, with some pretty specific instructions as I'm quite fussy. Not only did they follow everything to the letter, but it was delivered within 30 minutes AND it was absolutely delicious!... thank you so much. I would definitely recommend and I will definitely be using them again.

Too expensive for what you get. Smaller portion sizes in comparison to other kebab shops and considerably higher prices too. Their behaviour with customers is also appalling, they really need to learn some manners.

We have had food from here in the past band loved it but, today was spoilt by the rubbish we had served. Never again. My Shish kebab was just awful and threw it away. My sons pizza was nowhere near as good as before. Happy Mother’s Day to me 😢😢😢

Got a very bad food poisoning after the cheese burgers, ended up in hospital for a whole day.... be aware of the risk!!!!! Don't feed it to your children especially...

One amazing kebab meal about 4 weeks ago got one last night around 10pm OMG the baguette was soaked in oil and very soogy and unpleasant it made me very sick i definately wont be going back how can two meals the same be so different NOT HAPPY i still have belly ache

Dear god what has happened.. this used to be the best kebab shop in Southend however the last few months it’s very quickly gone downhill, we’ve opted to order takeaways recently instead of our usual kebab but tonight decided to give it another go & I seriously wish I didn’t, it’s gone straight into the bin… the so called “doner kebab” is bloody ICELAND frozen doner meat! It isn’t the same colour, thickness or even texture as the real doner from a kebab shop. Absolutely vile & a real waste of money. This is the last time we bother with best kebab.

So first time trying this the first time in a long time, it was ok.. delivered fast. And arrived hot.. but.. chicken was a bit dry and the pita wasn't great.. I couldn't finish it sadly but the chips were lovely ill try again no doubt and hope I just might of had a one off

Staying in West Street for the week, ate here twice already Monday, Tuesday lunch and soon late Tuesday dinner; It's been perfect both times so will be 3rd time shall be good I'm sure if not will update 😂! Very busy kebab shop which is a good sign and I see why! Owners/workers also very friendly.

The customer service and the delivery driver were rude we tried calling about our food and we just got a lot of attitude and the delivery driver was very demanding for us to open the door. Your workers should not be acting like this they need to give respect unless they don’t know what it means

Best shish kebab ever🤩 only problem is they dont put cucumber in with the salad and they have started to put it all in the pitta bread which makes the bread soggy, overall brilliant staff and great meat garlic dip and chilli sauce 👍👍👍

This kebap shop has over the years been consistently of a high standard. We have home delivery even though we don't get kebab on a reqular basis. They allways remember us and are requests. The service is very quick no matter what day of the week. It allways arrives lovely and hot. And occasionally they throw in a free large bottle of pop. There lamb shush kebab is beautifully succulent with a lovely fresh salad.. And the chilli dip. Beautiful. Yes I woukd recommend this kebab restaurant.. Well worth a vist you be surprised....

Just had my first kebab from here, absolutely the best I've had, and their cheesy garlic bread is amazing, I'm lost for words, you got to try it..

Usually have no issues with Best Kebab, and it up until now has lived up to its name, however, on this occasion they forgot the sauces and the chilli peppers they usually add to doner kebabs and seemingly compensated by adding a sickly amount of raw onions (far more than usual). Hopefully any consistency issues are rectified as this is otherwise the best place to get kebab takeaway in Southend.

We ordered Chicken Shish Kebabs. They tasted excellent and were reasonably priced. Delivery was also on time and food was hot when it arrived. Highly recommended

Food was alright nothing really to complain about but being charged £11 for a small lamb shish and a portion of chips was a bit of a liberty.

Ordered on the website. The food arrived really quickly, like almost impossibly quick. The halloumi wrap must of had about a pint of sauce on it. There was no salad in it. Literally just sauce with halloumi. The separate salad for the large chicken shish was a single semicircle slice of tomatoe, 4 strands of lettuce and about 1 whole onion sliced like bread. I rang because it was an awful delivery and the person just repeated what I said to them?? No apology or anything about the order so I hung up saying I’d just write a review. It’s because of the apathy that I’m writing this. Will never order from there again. Shame because I’ve had better from there before. There’s plenty to choose from in the area, so I’d not bother taking the chance on these again :)

In my life I’ve had many a kebab- sometimes they can hit the spot, sometimes they can hit the bottom of the bin if they’re bad. I have to say, best kebab offered a delightful donner. In addition, the chips were piping hot and well salted as I had requested. It was a great meal, and I would highly recommend them. I’ll be back next time I’m craving a cheeky kebab! Hugo

Have had food from best kebab a few times. Must admit, that in the past there kebabs were very hit and miss. But they have been spot on of late. Have had 4 take aways over last month. And all good. Meat is very tastie. Just wish the onion didnt have green stuff in it. LoL

On deliveroo was saying 10/15 m for delivery, we have waited 20m called the restaurant and the person that answer the phone was extremely rude saying that was Friday and that we should wait and in fact the waiting time was more 15/20m.... Do not order from here!!!!!!!

Never order from here again,waiting over 2 hours for delivery,no one is picking up the phone,still without order,and they have now changed delivery status to not delivering,whilst still having taken our money and was told a delivery time. Dishraceful

I always have their mix kebab meal. Good portions, easily fills up two adults. Reasonably priced. Salad looks and tastes fresh, so do their meats I normally order online, their delivery is pretty quick. I have been there in person once, they could do something with the way the place looks to make things even better I would recommend them overall

This place has absolutely terrible customer service and delivery took over 2 hours. The guy on the phone was honestly so rude, I will never ever use again and advice everyone not to.

Quite possibly the worst takeaway in southend , pizza undercooked , garlic bread burnt to death , chicken wings straight out of iceland 🙈 terrible but made us all laugh at how bad it actually was while we had cereal instead

Certainly within the top 3 kebab take outs in town. They still prepare much of the meats by hand and is always fresh . Great on the pocket with prices in line even with the dreadful places. They do other foods to their menu and offer home delivery. Well worth try. Enjoy!!

I honestly don't know which is better - the food or customer service! I literally only order one meal for delivery and I'm treated as a 5* customer every time without fail. It's also the only kebab shop I order a donner and shish mix from as I trust the meat is fresh and unprocessed! Absolutely love 'em! P.s. this review is months overdue howeverut I get so carried away with how good it is that I forgot to write about it. So I've just ordered and I'm still confidently writing this review before it arrives haha!

Shocking service ordered a delivery at 7.55pm again at 8.40pm and again at 9.20pm, told food would be here within 20 mins , no show, rang again at 9.45pm got told driver been gone long time food be on the way... never order from here again... best kebab now worst kebabs!

Visiting the area from Brighton & this happened to be the closest kebab shop. Food was 11/10, high quality meat & the veg/salad was next level, served with pots of complimentary sauces. Best kebab I’ve ever had, puts kebabs south of Dartford to shame!

Aptly named. If you looking for a solid kebab, especially the chicken, this is the place for you. No better place in the Southend area, but be careful you might get hooked.

Having moved to Westcliff and not having a kebab for a long time, I took a chance on this place and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. I had a lamb shish and my partner had a chicken shish. Both kebabs were moist and tender and full of flavour. The salad was fresh and the pots of garlic and chilli sauce were a nice addition. I will definitely have one from there again!
