Someone recommended this place to us and we went on a Saturday afternoon. The place is really sweet with seating upstairs downstairs and outside. I had the Moroccan flatbread with hummus, chunks of falafel, couscous and feta. It was absolutely delicious! Mum had the smoked salmon and cream cheese bagel, she loved hers too. Very friendly staff. A perfect little brunch/ lunch spot. Will definitely return when I’m back in the area.

Thoroughly enjoyed our impromptu lunch following a recommendation from a friend. Delicious unique home cooked food, great service & a rustic upstairs dining room. Never noticed this little place before which is easy to miss but a hidden gem when inside. I had an amazing blue cheese, spinach & broccoli quiche & my husband had Reuben Benedict! Highly recommend, we’ll be back soon!

From the welcome on arriving to the brilliant service and the excellent selection of very tasty treats this 5 star review I have given is well deserved. Refreshing also that this classic and savoury tea really had a wide selection of both.

After visiting Pickle and Pie when they first opened for a takeaway I’ve now returned a few times for lunch, breakfast and for a festive afternoon tea. The food here is excellent, all cooked to order, piping hot and beautifully presented. The staff are all lovely and the decor is cosy and modern, I especially like the pictures which are jokey food inspired song lyrics. There is also a small deli counter with amazing sausage rolls and scotch eggs to take away and a huge selection of yummy cakes. Always my first choice for breakfast or lunch out locally.

My husband and I popped into Pickle and Pie for some lunch. Despite being full the staff went out of their way to accommodate us in the comfortable and relaxing armchairs upstairs. They were able to offer me a choice of gluten free sandwiches with salad and crisps, and my husband had one of their delicious home-made scotch eggs. We took away some other food which was just as lovely. The coffee was excellent and the cakes looked great too. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful despite being busy. Will definitely be returning.

I spent a little time researching possible breakfast stops along our route from east Northamptonshire through to Shropshire. Even though it meant a slight deviation from our planned route, we were glad with the decision we made. Arriving just before 09:30 we were warmly greeted and offered a choice of tables either upstairs or on the ground floor in the main hub of the cafe. We decided on a downstairs table near the door where we enjoyed good views of the prep area, the delicious looking deli counter and a vast selection of some amazing cakes. The staff were particularly friendly, asking where we from and where we were headed. We both ordered a poached egg based breakfast accompanied by sausages and mushrooms. Everything was spot on. We’d had coffee to start things off and decided to stay for a pot of tea each, saying “good morning” to a steady flow of (I assume) locals who clearly knew and appreciated the quality of the fare on offer. Thoroughly recommend a visit to Pickle and Pie.
