Lovely friendly restaurant. Polite, helpful and attentive staff. Good atmosphere and view of the sea from a window table. Food served promptly and very tasty. We had haddock and chips and a crab salad. Will visited again.

We went with some friends to the Sri Lanken Curry night on Saturday night. The food was excellent and as usual the service from Sid, Kumar and the team was first class. A really great evening sampling food we had not tried before, with a variety of dishes giving us a tatse of Sri Lanken Cuisine.

We adore swinging by Sids cafe! The food and hospitality is out of this world! Sid always greets us with a smile and a chat. He oozes pride in everything he does. We celebrated Dydd Santes Dwynwen in style, we even got a heart on our cappuccinos!

We come here to celebrate every family birthday. Lovely spot on the seafront, great view over the channel, excellent food, fantastic staff and good beer.

We had a wonderful Christmas lunch at Sid's two days ago, complete with Christmas crackers (there were only two of us). An abundance of freshly cooked vegetables, lashings of gravy, and exceptional service from Sid himself and his wonderful staff. Plus, sticky toffee pudding to die for! As a local, this is my favourite spot for morning coffee and some homemade cake or breakfast after a long coastal walk. My "go-to" eatery. Very highly recommended.

Sadly it was very cold . Our ladies needed to put coats on. Food was very mixed. The starters were very poor Crab salad very watery with no taste. Avocado starter was very watery . With no taste. Main sea bass was fine .Very limited choice of wine . Generally not impressed . Sorry to say

7 old friends from the south west - we all met up here yesterday. Sid’s reserved a great table for us in a conservatory extension slightly away from the main room - this was great because we were quite noisy and had a dog too. Sid’s accommodated us with great ease and looked after us well throughout our 4 hour stay. Sid’s don’t keep a massive menu (which is reassuring) but there was plenty of choice. More to the point, the food was delicious. We’re very grateful to Sid’s and will definitely be back

I can’t recommend this restaurant enough. The service, the atmosphere, the customer service and best of all the food, was excellent. If I lived in Cardiff I would dine in this restaurant/bar often or just pop in for a drink. Everyone should experience Sid’s.

We had a fantastic time at Sid’s Restaurant and Bar with Rooms! Came here with friends for a casual catch-up and couldn’t have asked for a better spot. The highlight was definitely the gorgeous seafront view, which was just breathtaking! Even though it was a bit chilly, the super friendly staff went above and beyond to make us comfortable with extra blankets so we could still enjoy the view outside. The fish and chips were absolutely delicious—crispy batter, perfectly cooked fish, and fresh peas on the side. The food, combined with the view and the warm, attentive service, made it such a memorable experience. This place is a true gem for anyone looking to relax, enjoy great food, and take in some beautiful scenery. Highly recommended for gatherings with friends! Thank you Sid and Team for always welcoming us!

Brilliant Sunday lunch. Pate or crab and avacado salad starters superb, followed by a traditional roast dinner. Background music from a talented singer added to the ambience. Really enjoyed our visit.

Went to Sids for a 60th birthday party on Sunday September 28th. Great atmosphere, very warm welcome and lovely buffet food. Easy to mingle and chat to friends. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Will return.

Last night we attended a 60th birthday celebration for a very close friend. On arrival we were greeted with a glass of ‘bubbly’ by staff as guests arrived for the party celebrations. The evening was well organised and run by the very attentive staff and the buffet style food was excellent …… would have no hesitation in recommending Sid’s as a venue for that special occasion or to just pop in for a meal or just coffee etc.

We visited Sid’s for a 60th birthday party and also stayed overnight. We had a fantastic time and Sid and his crew couldn’t have been more welcoming or helpful. The buffet in the evening and breakfast were both delicious

I really.. Really like this place. Sid & his staff are extremely friendly & genuine. They obviously enjoy working here. Food is not pretentious, it's lovely.

Booked a table for a leisurely Sunday lunchtime visit. Beautiful chilled live music and delicious food presented well. Crab salad was ideal choice in the sunshine. Plenty of helpful staff.

We love Sid’s. It’s our favourite Penarth destination whether for drinks, delicious food or a special celebration, there is always a warm welcome, gorgeous drinks, a stunning view and the most delicious food. Recommend!!

Sat outside overlooking the Bristol Channel and Penarth Pier. Warm, friendly welcome and great service. Had the Welsh Breakfast and Avocado Benedict for great brunch. Quality ingredients, freshly cooked.
