Lunch At Twelve in The Vale of Glamorgan

Lunch At Twelve catered at our wedding on 12th July 2024 and I could not recommend them more. Neil and Delyth were brilliant in the run up to the wedding, with constant and clear communication. Every challenge we had they calmly found a solution and kept both myself an my partner at ease. They had to cater for over 20 different dietary requirements at a venue they'd never catered at before but still provided amazing food all round. They also went out of their way to make sure that myself and my husband had opportunities to eat throughout the day so we didn't miss any of the canopies and meals. They also made alternative vegetarian canopies for myself even though I told them that they don't need to do this. They really exceeded any expectations for caterers that we had and delivered the most amazing food! Ruby & Joe

Neil did the catering for our Daughters wedding last Saturday. Everybody commented how lovely the food was .Neil and his staff were so lovely! We went for the Gavin and Stacey afternoon tea for my daughters birthday. Well actually they cancelled the booking for birthday so had to go next day. The food was all shop bought cakes which I didnt care tbh it was all about Gavin and Stacey but no reference to Gavin and Stacey, apart from it being on the tv! So disappointed after making a special journey.

Ow not being funny but myself and my daughter had an absolutely fabulous Gavin and Stacey afternoon tea provided by Lunch at Twelve at Bryhhil Golf Club last Wednesday. Started with a scrummy omelette, then lovely fresh sandwiches( 3 each) and an assortment of the most gorgeous cakes ever ( 5 each) and 2 pots of tea.. Lovely friendly service and nicely decorated rooms not to mention the lush toilets.. We, ll be back for sure 😊 Thank you 😊 just one negative though.. We didnt get the mocktail, s 😊 Andrea and Bethan

Went as a guest to a baby shower afternoon tea. The staff were incredibly friendly, we had the whole place to ourselves and they made us feel very relaxed about setting up and doing whatever we wanted with the space. During the tea they were attentive but just left us to it. The food was lovely - a great selection of sandwiches, cakes and other interesting little goodies! One of the most interesting afternoon teas I've had (and I've had quite a few!). The vegan and gluten free alternatives they provided for 2 of the guests looked amazing too! It was a bargain and I'd highly recommend it to anyone!

Neil and his team created a super tasty fish finger 'supper in a box' for a charity event I held last night. Nothing but good comments from guests. I will be asking Lunch at Twelve to cater for future events. Thoroughly recommended. 👍🌟

Had a fantastic time at todays baby shower. What a fantastic spread!! Vegan and gluten free options were wonderful. Lovely box of goodies to take home as couldn't eat it all. Big thanks to the staff who were so friendly. Definitely be back.

Held a baby shower for my sister at Lunch at 12, they were super accommodating and helpful! We were able to come early and decorate with balloons etc and the afternoon tea was lovely!!

We hired them for canapés for mum’s retirement party and they were fab. Neil took care of us throughout the service. He made great suggestions on the night and was very friendly from the start to the end! The food was amazing and was thoroughly enjoyed by the guests. 10/10. Would recommend.

First time here today for a baby shower/afternoon tea, amazing!!!, lovely staff and delicious food, started with a non alcohol drink then cheese omlette, sandwiches, assortment of cakes, scones, also a choice of tea and coffee, well worth the money, if you get chance would definitely recommend a visit.

A birthday treat for my sister. A Gavin and Stacey afternoon tea in Barry itself. The food was LUSH. Very fresh and plentiful. And such a fabulous price! We arrived half an hour late due to traffic but we’re greeted with a smile. Definitely worth a visit!

Accidentally stumbled across it walking towards spoons, thought I’d try it out. I’ve eaten thousands of breakfasts in years of travelling, that’s by far the nicest breakfast I’ve had in my lifetime. Wonderful staff, lovely food and drink, great choice. Absolutely stunned at how nice Vanilla Coke is as well! 10/10. Muggsy.

Went for a Gavin and Stacey themed afternoon tea. Disappointing. The place had no atmosphere and was made worse by the boarded up front window, which the staff told us had been smashed at Christmas - not repaired by our visit in May !!??!! Food was nice enough, but the only Gavin and Stacey reference was an omelette to start. The listing promised cupcakes with G & S on, but these never apoeared. Overall, OK but disappointing if you're expecting too much from your themed afternoon tea.

Went there today for my belated Mothers Day treat, well what can I say! The Omlette was to die for, lush sandwiches, beautiful cakes and so many!!! Excellent food and service! Today we had afternoon tea, the venue is lovely, and the staff are very welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. Ive had a sudden dietary change, and this was not an issue. We will recommend, and will re book. Lunch at 12 also offers outside catering, just ask for a business card! You won't be disappointed.

Went for lunch today with my daughter. Both had tacos. Food was stunning. Most definitely the best place to eat in barry. Very reasonably priced too! Will be going back!

I booked for a friend's birthday and five of us had the Gavin and Stacey experience. I am not sure what I expected, however, what came out of the kitchen was a feast to the eyes and stomach! We were welcomed with an Irn-bru cocktail (non alcoholic - you can take your own bottle of wine with you). It was followed by plates of freshly prepared sandwiches. They were delicious and very quickly devoured. A big thank you to Neil for coping with the requirements of two fussy eaters. Next to arrive were the omelettes and there was plenty to share between the five of us. Again they were freshly prepared, and piping hot. Last, but not least, the cakes. Wow, they were spectacular. They were fresh, tasty and there had to be a selection of 7 per person!! We just couldn't eat them all and took some home for grateful partners! Can highly recommend Lunch at Twelve. We had a warm welcome and Neil dealt with all our queries professionally and speedily. The food being served to the other customers around us looked just as appetising and will certainly be visiting again.

Amazing lunch great service was received. Celebrating a 21st! Highly recommended for all ages. Look forward to returning.

Had a family meal yesterday .absolutely beautiful food, everyone was very full. Service was outstanding, staff couldn’t do enough for us. Made us feel very welcomed, bent over backwards. Would like to say what an amazing afternoon tea we had today here. Brought Wowcher Vouchers as we were in Barry on holiday and the food was so lovely. Beautiful cakes and fresh sandwiches- thanks Guys … please go if in Barry

As our party of 3 approached the entrance we were seen, greeted & shown straight to our table. Lunch at 12 is a light, airy, well decorated, spotlessly clean, disabled friendly venue, the toilet was also spotless & well stocked with soap & toilet paper. We'd booked afternoon tea for 2 using a voucher plus a further afternoon tea. We were started with 2 omelettes to share - 1 cheese & tomato & 1 cheese & ham which were served in omelette pans on wooden boards - along with iron bru cocktails which were non alcoholic but very refreshing. We were then presented with an oblong board with 4 finger sandwiches each, cucumber; ham, cheese & tuna mayo all of which were packed with filling (the bread was lovely & fresh my favourite being the tuna which had big chunks in it. We all 3 opted for different beverages which were made from freshly ground coffee beans & very flavoursome. We'd not managed to eat all of the omelettes, tasty as they were, nor the sandwiches & could hardly believe our eyes when we were presented with a 3 tier stand of cakes with a trayful for each of us! We were told the cakes were made to order & though they looked really delicious all 3 of us only managed one cake & the chocolate spoon each so were given lovely boxes to pack up the rest of the cakes & sandwiches to take home. The staff were really lovely & helpful & nothing seemed too much trouble for them. I highly recommend this venue, you won't be disappointed, my only regret is that 2 of us live in Hirwaun so it's an hour's journey each way otherwise we would be regulars for definite. As an added bonus Lunch at 12 is dog friendly too - what's not to like?

I was taken here as a surprise treat by my husband. On walking in to this small, inconspicuous but perfectly arranged cafè, we were greeted by the welcoming staff who explained what was going to happen. We were given a glass of Iron Bru Mocktail to start, then ordered an omelette as it was part of the tea package. Our omelette was cooked to perfection, Gwen would of been proud! It was light and fluffy with just enough ham. Then came out a tantalising selection of homemade finger sandwiches and a tray full of homemade cakes, macarons, scones, Welsh cakes, pastries, meringue fruit nests and a chocolate spoon each. To wash this down, I had a pot of tea, whilst my hubby had coffee. The staff were polite and friendly and very happy to chat and explain how far the location of the house in the series was (a challenging 10 minute walk up a very steep hill). Once we had eaten our fill, we were offered a box to take away any cakes we could not manage to eat. We packaged up our cakes in a small box and were given a pleasant farewell as we left.

I have not long moved to the area, these guys were the first takeaway i ordered and it was amazing! i had a burger with chips and salad. The burger was gorgeous, i was really impressed with the quality considering the price. The chips were delicious! The tasted like they were double cooked, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside i wish i could have finished them! The salad was solid! Super fresh, nice variety and again a decent portion size. My only issue is do i stick with the burger next time or do i venture for something different! Either way i will definitely be ordering from here again!!

Me and my boyfriend were visiting Barry and looking for somewhere to eat. After looking at a menu and few google reviews - we've decided to give this place a go. That was the best choice we could make, we literally couldn't pick any better! We went there with table reservation at 1.30, but arrived about 12:45 and asked if we could eat now - it wasn't a problem for them at all. After picking a table and sitting down - a lovely waitress gave us the menu and took an order for drinks and then food. We've ordered pulled pork hot dog, pork noodles and side of fries with some sweet chilli beef in it (can't remember how was it called). What a surprise it was when we were given our food. HUUUGE PORTIONS and sooo tasty. It was the best food I've had in a while and probably the best noodles I had so far. It was simply fantastic. The portions defeated us, we couldn't eat it all and we ended up taking it home to have another, full dinner using the left-overs. Fantastic. The waitress (shame, I didn't ask of her name) was a star. Nothing was too much of a trouble for her, she was extremely nice, professional and accommodating, making the whole experience even better. We will be coming back, definitely. And we live in Mid Wales, but for this noodles and this atmosphere - we will drive a long way : ) Thank you for having us and making our day!

Smashing meal, good quality produce and service! Gutted I’m not from the area otherwise lunch at twelve would be a fond local, for both dine in and delivery! Unfortunately too full for a pudding, but they looked lush. Coffee was lovely! The thought of being able to order a roast dinner of that quality to my house is dreamy! If I’m back in the area, it will be my go-to cafe to test out their afternoon teas and full menu! Such a quirky little place too. Thank you so much!

We only had a coffee and cake. Amazing value for only £2.50 Really pleased that they had decaffeinated tea( not everywhere does!) With a really decent sized teapot too. 😁 The waitress and manager were lovely, so helpful and friendly. We will definitely be back. 🎈🎈

Visited lunch at twelve for a “gavin and stacey” themed afternoon tea I purchased on wowcher today. The cafe itself was beautiful the attention to detail was top notch. Loved the decor, especially the wall art of the rabbit so so nice. As a very big fan of the TV show gavin and stacey I bought this as a gift for me and my boyfriend as it’s the reason we visited barry island. The description on the Wowcher said it would have pictures of the cast members on the cakes and that we would get a irn bru cocktail aswell. We didn’t get neither. We didn’t get a choice of omelette either as stated on the wowcher description. Although was super yummy and nicely presented to us it was the only thing slightly related to the show. Staff members were so so kind and helpful, was from the moment of booking to serving us in person. Like i said it was beautiful and very yummy but not what i was expecting. Defo wouldn’t advertise as “themed” afternoon tea. Would love to visit again for breakfast or lunch! Overall 4/5. Service 10/10 though.

Me and my partner were on our first holiday in Wales, we looked on Wowcher for a treat for ourselves and we came across the Afternoon Tea at lunch at Twelve. When we arrived Kelly informed us that we would have to book 2 days in advance but she told us that she was going to make an exception in our case and planned our tea and exceeded our expectations.

Lovely little setting and food was outstanding. Very reasonable and you can take your own alcohol which is a bonus.

First time trying the food. Was absolutely delicious. We had the pulled pork tacos and lamb koftas. Both were lush. Only negative was that there was only 2 small lamb kofta. So the meal was mostly chips. We will definitely be back soon to try more of there lovely menu.

Have just ordered from here through Uber Eats. I'm sorry to say the food was awful and I have thrown it away. Everything was sweaty and soggy in the box, the meat was tough and I could taste the gristle in it. The dip had also spilled all over the burger, making it even more soggy. Apart from that, if the app had been updated, I could have been on the lookout but since they didn't, I wasn't at the door and the delivery woke up my toddler, which I really didn't need at 38 weeks pregnant. Complete waste of money. I wish I'd made a sandwich instead.

Third takeaway in one week! We've tried a few different meals from here and they've all been delicious. Very fresh, full of flavour and hot when it arrives. Would definitely recommend! Yum.

Great homemade food. Awesome selection of hearty and tasty meals. Great friendly service when open between lockdowns. They also have a click and collect service, and have been open through the day and into the evening during lockdowns. Highly recommended.

We've ordered from here a few times now and the food is amazing. We did order late one evening to our home however and were a little dissapointed that the cream for ouf chocolate pudding had spilt, so we had to eat it without. Can't fault the food and the speed of service and will be ordering again.😊

We enjoyed a Gavin and Stacey afternoon tea this week at Lunch at at twelve. The café was able to provide the afternoon tea gluten free for me which was lovely. The omelette was amazing! Would definitely recommend to others heading to Barry.

We took a takeaway of cheese and onion panini & the spiced chickpeas. We are vegetarians and there were very limited options on the menu for us. The chickpeas were fabulous. Perfectly spiced and just delicious. The panini wasn’t great. Also don’t understand why people serve carbs with a side of carbs. I mean have an option of choosing sides on the menu. Would have given 4 stars but giving 3 because I specifically asked the waitress to put in some spoons/cutlery for me as I planned to eat my meal on the go. She confirmed she would but when I opened my box later, there were none. It was very difficult if not impossible for us to eat the chickpeas without cutlery. Would recommend for the food.

We had delivery burgers which tasted really good. Good portion sizes and still hot. Corn on the cob was awesome. Unfortunately the burgers had not travelled with well and had come apart. They were a bit of a mess and had gone soggy as they were laying in a mixture of coleslaw ketchup and mayo. I would try again
