We just wanted to get out for a pizza so this was ideal, they managed to squeeze us in despite being very busy and the service was very good. We both had ice cream for desert which is well worth a try

Love coming here! Come every once and a while and it’s lovely every time. Our waitress, Lana, was especially good last night too so thank you very much!

We have been to this restaurant many times, and in my opinion, the best by far, Italian food, ie, pasta, pizza dishes in Bexhill.

Called to make a reservation for myself, my parter and two friends. I booked the table and asked if they made their sauces fresh and the lady on the phone said yes they do, I said back to her 'ahh that's fantastic as I have an allergy to onion so needed to double check for when I order." At this point the lady on the phone said she needed to double check with the chef, when she came back to the phone she stated that the spaghetti pomodoro (basically tomatoes, basil and garlic) contained onion. I asked the lady what she meant as she just told me they make it from fresh so could they not just make my portion without onion. She stated yes they are fresh but made in fresh batches therefore can't make me one fresh on order. I was confused by this as the sauce takes 10 minutes to make (if that). The waitress did state there was some other things on the menu that does not contain onion but after looking at the menu while on the phone I could really on see maybe steak and chip which feels ridiculous to eat at an Italian restaurant. After speaking to my partner and friends we canceled our table and decided to eat elsewhere acknowledging the risks of my allergy and feeling that it hadn't been taken very seriously. The people who answered the both on both occasions (booking and unbooking) were polite I must add.

We ate at Picasso Espresso in Bexhill-on-Sea on 16th October and we loved the food and the very friendly service. The pizzas and rigatoni amatriciana that we ordered as mains between the four of us were really delicious as was the trio colore salad. The gelatos and sorbet for dessert were delicious. A really lovely Italian restaurant, good atmosphere, centrally located and reasonably priced. We recommend highly.

A reasonably priced Italian restaurant, good choice on the menu. The waffles seemed to be a big thing so I tried one for dessert, it didn't seem very fresh and just came with a scoop of ice cream and a topping, not very special. The service was fine and it was busy enough making for a good atmosphere. It was all adequate but not mind blowing.

Had an amazing meal here with friends. Hands down the best Italian I’ve ever had. All the flavours were so delicious. I will definitely be returning!

Visited here while on a short break to Bexhill. Had a delicious pizza and even popped in the next day for a cheeky gelato.

It would have been a five-star experience, but unfortunately, my main course was burnt. I ordered a calzone (folded pizza), and when it was brought to the table, I could tell that even the staff were anticipating my reaction. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, my wife and I were pressed for time, having started our evening late and still hoping to visit a bar after our meal. My thinking was this: if a restaurant and its chef are willing to send out a clearly burnt calzone—one that not only looked overcooked but also smelled burnt and had its flavours compromised—rather than taking the time to remake it properly for their customers, this speaks volumes to me. It was truly disappointing, as the ingredients seemed of good quality (and I was particularly hungry), and I’m fairly certain it could have been one of the best calzones I’ve ever had. Sadly, a poor decision, possibly made to save time or money, left me with a bad taste—literally and figuratively.

Impromptu visit with my wife for lunch. The restaurant was busy but they still managed to fit us in. The food was just perfect! More Impromptu visits now on the cards!

We had a family meal here last week as a group of 6, including two young children. The food was delicious and we all really enjoyed our meals. The service was great and all the waiting staff were very polite and attentive. Would visit again if in the area, highly recommend!

So went here adho with my Italian friend. I really do not know how they have the nerve to call themselves an Italian restaurant. The pasta wasn't fresh the pizza was cold tasteless cheap food never again. Was embarrassing to take an Italian there or anyone tbh

Go for the pizza, leave before dessert. This place serves great pizza, expertly cooked and the service was great with the waiter clearly explaining and menu choices I didn't understand and how to swap toppings on my pizza. Although I did ask before I ordered the lemonade if it was a lemonade or a sprite and he said not a sprite, but as you can guess I received a sprite just from a fountain as opposed to a homemade lemonade, so that was disappointing. Unfortunately the disappointment doesn't end there, as once we had finished our pizza we walked around to the ice cream counter to see piles of ice cream stacked high above the containers and not falling at all (this was clearly the artificial ice cream they warn you about in all those tourism videos) there is no way it would sit like that if it didn't have lots of artificial thickeners or something similar in it. Flavours were varied but all bland, and expensive, I settled on mango and cream (I think) but from the flavour I couldn't tell you what it was. Plenty of other places with better ice cream (including Iceland).

We have eaten here a few times, the service is always good. However, we feel the food has become average - too much cream used in dishes, not enough flavour and Bruschetta is nothing like the Italians would serve, simple tomato and basil with a touch of oil would hit the spot, not red onion and olives too. Sometimes places can try too hard and miss the mark. I guess people will enjoy for a first visit but after too many times it gets a bit mediocre.

Consistently impressed with the food and service. Their home made ice cream is the best we've ever had! I didn't realise you can just nip in just for an ice cream to take out.

My daughter booked this as a surprise for me as she knows I love calzone and this place will do any pizza as a calzone. We arrived a bit early, but this was no problem. We were seated quickly and the staff were friendly and efficient as they were the whole way through. Cannot fault the service. Food arrived quickly and was very tasty. Calzone was cooked properly (the folded dough edges can be under cooked if not done properly) and was very enjoyable. My daughter also order pizza and we swapped some and hers was just as good. Highly recommended for pizza. We wanted to try their gelato - a bit dear at £3 a scoop, but we went for it anyway. It was great to see that they also allowed a few tastes and we were grateful for this as the gelato was very disappointing, especially considering how good the meal was. I tasted their rum & raisin, a favourite flavour of mine and it was, compared with others I have tasted in the town, quite poor. Barely tasted of anything. Their vanilla was also lacking in flavour. I settled on a flavour that was either cherry or strawberry that was swirled through with some sort of fruit sauce, which is what saved it as without the sauce, it tasted of nothing. My daughter was equally disappointed with the gelato. We both wish we had chosen something else instead of ice cream. It's unfortunate that their ice cream was as tasteless as it was as the rest of the experience was very good. I'd go back again, but not for ice cream. They claim it is homemade, but our experience of it leads us to doubt this. Go for pizza - go somewhere else for dessert.

Great place to go, family friendly. Excellent food and great kids menu too. Staff were all really friendly helpful and attentive. Prices are excellent too considering the food is top tier . Highly recommended 🏆

We came here for our daughter's birthday 🎂 and the food was outstanding and very good value for money. Our other daughter is Autistic and we asked for a quieter table which they did. We didn't have to wait long for our meals and the service and friendless of the staff was brilliant. Food was absolutely fab and I'd wished we had taken pictures but we all got stuck in because it looked and tasted that good. Would highly recommend this Restaurant to anyone.

Had a lovely three course dinner here. Food was really lovely, vibe family dinning and the service from the staff was excellent. Can’t think of the last time that we had such a friendly crew, that smiled and was as accommodating as they all were. Was too stuffed for desert but there were too many delicious options we all gave in!!! Look forward to returning.

Overpriced, my starter of bread with oil dip ,was exactly that tasteless more like veg oil ,asked for butter but only had cheap margarine ,no check back service .was a let down tbh

Me & my partner came here for dinner over the weekend. Our waitress was Ella who delivered amazing service & just made an overall lovely experience! The food was great too! Would recommend to anyone though restaurant is a little noisy so bear in mind if this would bother you.

The food was good, I had a pizza and my girl had the pasta. The waitress was a little extra, like super loud, was kinda annoying but she meant no harm. I think she was just really into her role at the company.

Really nice atmosphere, very friendly and quick service but the food isn’t too great, we had the Rigatoni Toscana and the spaghetti gambona and neither of us could finish them they were so bland which was a shame, but they have a good choice of gelato that you can even get takeaway if you’re not dining in.

Wonderful birthday dining experience.

I visited the restaurant with friends the establishment was quite cold. The air-conditioning was a little bit too low. One of our parties starter arrived cold which was replaced the rest of the food was tasty. . Staff friendly and welcoming. Reasonably priced. Only negative is waiters/waitresses lent across customers when serving. I’m sure we will be back again.

Come here regularly for our Daughters birthday dinner. Everything about this place is excellent.

Very disappointed carbonara was like the sauce was curdled. Also a burnt fast to it.

Group gathering at peak hours Saturday evening. They do what they do very well. Dishes all arrived on schedule, and no complaints about the standards of cooking. Very busy and happy vibe. Standard range of pasta, bakes and pizza. Wait staff very attentive and we did not get any admonitions to "enjoy". Thank goodness. Great for small groups and celebrations. A large space spread over several shop fronts with exterior seating too. Cheerful is dialled in.

Lovely meal; coffee was hot, waffles were delicious and pizza was lovely. Great atmosphere and lovely staff too. Very friendly. Price was reasonable also.

The maitre d'e is charm,personified as is the tall,handsome waiter who served us. Enough in itself but guess what? The food 's terrific as is the atmosphere Bexhill is coming up in the world,try it instead of the manic nature of Brighton,the bland feel of Eastbourne and the not quite right feel of Hastings. We went to celebrate my grandsons 13th Birthday, the food and service were excellent and because its leading up to Xmas the place was packed with a great atmosphere. The only down I would say was we notified them it was his birthday when we booked, he was wearing a 13th birthday badge and we spoke to the waiter about his Birthday. It wouldn't have hurt to offer him a free dessert or something. I never expect anything free but it would have been a nice gesture.

Visited on Monday 6th November . The whole restaurant was buzzing with a great atmosphere and was almost full. The team were friendly, attentive but unobtrusive. The food was delicious as always. I keep meaning to try other places but always just choose to come here.

The reception when we arrived was woeful, young man in phone, totally ignored us, we stood there for over 10 minutes, when he finished on the phone he just walked off with it saying a word. Then a lady came over and couldn't say us because he hadn't logged out of what he was doing.
