Pibroch Restaurant & Whiskey Bar in Highland

Give this place a miss. Bar/restaurant was empty when we called in and now we know why! Felt like a throw back to 1930s. No atmosphere. Cutlery was filthy. My seafood platter was nice but husband's venison was overcooked. Barman (owner?) was pleasant enough but we were constantly watched over by his lady partner, who made us feel unwelcome and uncomfortable.

The waiter forgets everything you ordered, although noted. One hour waiting (to hunt the deer ?), food comes cold. But first something else than you ordered .The fish is not tasty at all, the meat is correct .

Très typique en arrivant, on se retrouve propulsé à une autre époque. Nous avons tous les deux mangé le plat et gibier ainsi que la meringue et le brownie en dessert. Définitivement le meilleur resto d’Ecosse depuis que nous sommes arrivés il y a plus d’une semaine. Si vous chercher un endroit décalé et excellent, allez-y !

Avant tout pensez à réserver. Un restaurant de style écossais avec un bel intérieur. Une grande salle et les canapés en cuir Un peu plus cher que d’autres mais les assiettes sont copieuses Le service est sympathique et parfait

Situated as part of the Loch Ness lodge hotel but this is no ordinary hotel restaurant. The food is amazing. Great quality ingredients and very good presentation. I had a starter of haggis Bon Bons which were fantastic. Then salmon main then shared the pink gin sundae with my wife . Great experience in a lovely setting . The staff were also fantastic here

Delicious food and cosy experience, would visit again. Right next to nessieland in Drumnadrocit. We went for an evening meal and a few drinks. Definitely worth a visit

Didn’t have dinner here (doh!) just popped in for a quick look on the way home, missed out big time - the place is brilliant. Spent a wonderful evening with Chris, the host, he suggested the most amazing single malts and gins, all of which were outstanding! The ambiance of the place coupled with with a very knowledgeable host meant that our visit was just superb. Thanks, Chris for a fabulous evening!

This was a great experience. Not to loud and great food! We shared three different entrees and the sticky pudding and that was a fabulous choice. The beef pie, lamb and duck were worth it.

Top notch food, great ambience, fabulous service!! A truly exceptional Restaurant! The duck is to die for...... and the fish and chips was declared as “the best ever”! If your in the area you have to dine here......you will not be disappointed😁

Visited the pibroch bar for a meal ,which is the in-house restaurant of the loch Ness lodge hotel,we were seated by a friendly barman ,who informed us their may be a delay as the kitchen was dealing with a large group in the dinning room, nevertheless our starters of salmon grazing plate and Cullen skunk arrived promptly,this was followed by duck and steak Both cooked to perfection to finish we had cheesecake and a Scottish cheeseboard,again both well presented and tasty

This restaurant is thoroughly Scottish but with something extra! We ate here on our first night because it was next to our hotel and had no expectations however, we were thrilled! We shared nachos to start... haggis nachos... and they were delicious! The macoroni was unreal, and the venison steak was cooked perfectly. We decided to eat there again the following night. They were fully booked but made an effort to fit us in. Again, everything we ordered was fantastic...could not be faulted! The chef is amazing and the service was great too. Ten out of ten for everything! If we were staying any longer, we'd work our way through the entire menu. All the dishes we spotted as they were brought out look great!

My husband and I were renting a local cottage and stumbled upon the Pibroch. It is located in a "touristy" area, but not frequented by large numbers of tourists. We were at the cottage for 7 nights and ate at the Pibroch 4 of those nights! The atmosphere is warm, comfortable and homey. The primary bartender (who was also our server), Chris, was like family by the end of our first meal there. One evening, a local music group played live music and it was one of our most memorable nights. And the FOOD!! WOW!! Cullen Skink is now ruined for me, because I had the BEST (all 4 nights) at the Pibroch. My husband had a smoked salmon starter every night and he swears it was better than what he's had at Michelin starred restaurants in large cities. The desserts were amazing....especially the sticky toffee. We tried different main courses each night...all were fantastic. One night, we just wanted fish & chips....it was the best we have ever had. The wine list was filled with reasonably priced bottles...surprisingly high quality. We tried a different one each night and they were all incredible. If you are in the area, I highly recommend eating here. If we lived nearby, we would be regulars....because it's just that kind of place.

We’ve gone to the ness deli/cafe and Loch Ness inn, and both were really busy. Came up here and we were alone! Not sure why. The staff were really attentive and the food was really good. The inside is quite charming. Of course, it’s next to Nessie Land which is really cheesy (and possibly a deterrent for some) and kind of loud early in the day but not an issue in the evening. Perhaps it’s because it isn’t as visible but it’s just a short walk over the bridge from the green to access. Would absolutely recommend the 2 extra minutes on foot to avoid the crowds down below.

Pibroch Restaurant is part of the Loch Ness Lodge Hotel - where we were staying. We needed a reservation - as the hotel was full and it was peak season so even a lot of non-resident guests were visiting. The ambience is quaint and charming - kind of like a winter &/or hunters' lodge. The service is efficient and polite. My husband & I ordered a Venison Burger and Grilled Salmon Fillet respectively - and both were more than happy! A tad expensive - but then that's UK for you during the peak season!

Il s'agit du restaurant de l'hotel Loch Ness Lodge. Le restaurant est joliment décoré (si l'on aime les décors écossais !) et très chaleureux avec ses grands canapés en cuir. Le bar propose un large choix de bière et whisky. Le service est efficace et la nourriture très bonne, bien que surprenante (j'ai mangé un venison hamburger avec une confiture cranberry !). Le rapport qualité-prix est excellent. Bref, une bonne adresse que je recommande.

This restaurant was pretty good. Plenty of space, friendly staff. Food was good and plentiful. The atmosphere was really nice too.

Mi marido y yo nos alojamos en el Loch Ness Lodge Hotel y comimos en el restaurante Pibroch ambas noches de nuestra estancia. Mi marido estaba corriendo el Maratón del Lago Ness así que necesitábamos carbing hasta la noche antes y lo hicimos con un plato de pasta, tuve un apetitoso pollo teriyaki. Entonces, me gustó el impulso de la proteína filete de salmón post-dirigido, que tenía el lomo de cerdo tanto muy bien preparadas y servidas con una sonrisa. Un hotel encantador, ambiente relajado y servicio atento de todos, gracias por recibirnos (y estrujar nosotros en a pesar de no tener una reserva una noche!!)

La comida es excelente, a un precio razonable, y un atento los camareros en un elegante, pero no es snob, medio ambiente. Puedes tener/post comida antes de bebidas mientras está sentado en un cómodo sofá o silla. Después de la cena usted puede sentarse y hablar por tanto tiempo como quieras (tuvimos una conversación maravillosa con un caballero, Colin, que trabaja en el hotel).
