Order from here all the time and it’s normally nice but tonight I had food and the egg fried rice was disappointing to say the least obviously wasn’t fresh and has been held was brown and clumpy not good!!

Lovely food tasty and good portion sizes nice and hot ready when told to collect 😊good quality food highly recommended .

Ordered food, never showed up Waited 2 hours 45 mins tried calling numerous times no answer was apprehensive about ordering from somewhere else incase the delivery showed up but I can now assume they aren’t coming! What a waist of time!

Id done a collection order but inputted the wrong time he- the lady who answered was very accommodating and switched the time for me. When I got there, my food was nearly ready - I think I waited a little over 4 minutes which was nothing. The 2 ladies behind the counter were super friendly and the food was amazing! Their salt and pepper fired chicken was *chefs kiss. Definitely recommend.

Really nice meal, curry is nice and hot, chow mein lovely taste and chilli beef nice n spicy, prawn crackers aren't the thick tasteless ones you get elsewhere. All delivered quickly and nice and hot

Terrible food that went in the bin. Frozen chicken & veg reheated. The smell coming off the food was enough to put me off but my wife braved some and confirmed it wasn't fit for the dog.

Gutted. 😢 Been using this takeaway for past 3 years & loved it until today. Food turned up 15 minutes early & was barely warm. Char Siu was dry & tough as old boots, chow mein tasteless & mini veg spring rolls were chewy, had no veg in & were from two different cooked batches as different colours. Such a shame. Wonder if it was because I ordered through Just Eat as I normally phone & pick up. 🤔

After trying several Chinese takeaways, Phoenix Cottage has become the only place we’ll order from now. Consistently delicious, always fresh, fast and friendly delivery, great menu. It’s even obvious that it’s packed with great care. We always end up ordering way too much because it’s hard to choose from our favourites, but that’s ok because it great reheated too. Great job, Phoenix Cottage!

Best Chinese takeaway the lady owner is lovely and her husband the chef is brilliant thanks

Nice quality food but far too salty. I had prawn chow mein and the prawns tasted like they had been cooked in salt. Curry sauce also far too salty. Fried rice was lovely though. This is the first time I have used this takeaway but sorry I would not come back. Its a shame as quality of food good spoilt by overpowering salt taste.

Absolutely disgusted in our take away, will never be using this place again . Spare ribs were disgusting, so small & had no taste what's so ever ( salt & chilli) ordered chips & never came . Black bean chow main (tasteless) beef chow main no taste . Chips , curry & rice was like water . £35 worth of food went straight in the bin

Superb. Loads of tasty mealt in your mouth meat. Black bean sauce lovely kick, chow mein fantastic. Crispy seaweed amazing. Wontons with sweet and sour sauce the best. Prawn crackers for a change taste like the name suggests. Can't rate it high enough best Chinese in the area,.

100% the best Chinese in Wallsend, always really quick if you order to collect - never had a bad meal and order from there at least 2-3 times per month.

Awful Soup tasted like warm water, no other taste Main meal, both myself and my wife spat it out after first taste, sauce had a disgusting taste like it was off Complete waste of money Chef obviously doesn't taste the food he is sending out, otherwise neither course would have left kitchen Gave it a try due to good reviews, never again

Decided to try a different Chinese takeaway after using Ming Palace on Chillingham Road for almost 20 years. I ordered off menu and was pleasantly surprised. Will I go back? Definitely. Which is saying a lot, for me.
