Petrony's Pizza in Southampton

I have just had a delivery of 2 pizzas one was a Patrony’s deep pan the other was a Meat Eater again deep pan. I have never been so disappointed the toppings were sparse some areas of the Pizza’s had nothing on. I know times are difficult but this is really short sited. I for one will not be ordering from them again.

They definitely need to up their game on delivery sometimes delivery is not available, or you have to wait a couple of hours this is not good customer care in my opinion. There pizzas have become very salty, the amount of toppings is a joke I counted 7 pieces of sweetcorn!! But on the plus side there bbq bases sauce is the best

I have been a regular at Petrony’s for years but something has gone wrong. The last 3 times I have tried to order they have “sold out”. I just tried to order at 6:50pm - they close at 9! For a long established pizza take away that has run out of pizza is not really good enough; I think a business review is required. Won’t be hurrying back….shame.

Great pizza, quick delivery, great service. Very good price for the excellent pizza and sides. Best pizza place around

I stopped short of counting the toppings like some other reviewers, but I broke my diet today to go all in on some pizza - was not disappointed. It's always good and this is as good as I remember. Do it, honestly :)

Since i was very young (too many years to count!) We have always had petronies and it remains the nicest pizza we have! Always hot, fresh and absolutely delicious. A must for anyone who hasn't tried or that is visiting the area! Thank you !!

Excellent Pizza takeaway, superior to any other competition in the area. On our last occasion it was disappointing to receive tomato base when we ordered BBQ and had the order read back confirming which is why I give 4 star and not 5.

Been a regular for years at petronys. Moved out the area so when I can back to visit we decided to have a pizza. We ordered four deep pan pizzas; well we’re meant to be deep pan. Wasn’t until we got home and saw them; the dough wasn’t cook all the way through and they clearly were not deep pan. Obviously gone down hill since I had my last. Such a shame!

we ordered a lot of food, sadly turned up 30mins late however was worth the wait as the food was lovely. Two items from our order weren’t there and they resent it back out. other than the late delivery and the items missing, the food was very lovely and good customer service. from the comments i’ve been seeing they are fairly new so i’ll let them off on the mistake. on the whole a good experience!

I’ve been a regular customer for years and, let’s face it, Petrony’s is the best Pizza place in Totton. The rubbish they serve up at Domino’s is no competition. However, if Petrony’s had some proper competition, I think they would struggle. Complacency has led to a reduction in the quality and quantity of ingredients in my opinion. When you are paying between 50 and 90p per topping you expect a reasonable and consistent amount. If you order veggies (arguably the cheapest to supply) you generally get a pointless sprinkling, some of which are non existent on some slices. If you order pepperoni you get 2 pieces per slice (seems fair). If you order double pepperoni you get 3 pieces per slice (you do the maths!). Credit where it’s due, the dough base and tomato sauce are spot on. However, the cheese could be tastier. Just tastes like industrial grated mozzarella and nothing else. Petrony’s could be so much better. They may think they don’t need to be because of their popularity, but when you see prices gradually increase and quality gradually decrease, something has to give at some point. There’s definitely a gap for something better in the area.

Used to be the best pizza take away in the area. Unfortunately the last three pizzas we've had from here haven't been great. Toppings have been stingy to say the least. Large meat eater had about 7 pieces of pepperoni and almost nothing else. I think that they have also changed the cheese as it now has a strange taste. Such a shame as used to recommend to everyone. Can't recommend anymore.

Was disappointed this evening to receive our pizzas that we waited an hour and half for. The fact that the toppings were so sparse I couldn’t see which was which!! Never had service like this before from Petronys. Ordered this pizza many a time and it just seemed very unusual this time to have hardly any toppings?? On a positive note pizza was nice and hot on delivery

In my opinion best pizza in totton or nearby areas, always delivered hot and on time, loads of cheese and toppings

Really tasty pizza. Not too greasy. Usually quite busy, so order early. Buy one get one free everyday so value for money.

Our friends love petronys pizza and since we moved locally they said we had to try it and to get the deep pan. I normally don't like deep pan, but we gave it a go. Such tasty pizza, the deep pan base isn't dry like some places. The flavours from all the toppings just make the entire pizza and the base taste great! I don't think we'll be going to dominoes anymore!

Llamó para pedir 4 pizzas básicas de pedido, la persona que estaba al final del teléfono me pedía que repitiera mi dirección porque mi línea de teléfono estaba "defectuosa" y, finalmente, después de que mi dirección fuera correcta, me costó varios intentos hacer el pedido correctamente. Una vez que me dijeron que mi pedido sería de entre 60 y 90 minutos, quedé colgado. Olvidándome de pedir extras, regresé 15 minutos más tarde para agregar a mi pedido (3 saltos) REINICIARON la hora de mi pedido. Después de esperar el tiempo asignado, llamé para verificar dónde estaba mi pedido y todo lo que obtuve fue una respuesta grosera "es el horno" que nos dice que me equivoqué con nuestros tiempos de pedido, no habrá nada complementario ni una simple disculpa. Nuevamente colgué.Una vez que llegó el pedido, una de las pizzas estuvo equivocada, afortunadamente, de nuevo, volví a llamar, ¡nos cambiaron la pizza!

We were local so tried Petronys. Lady on phone was very polite and nothing was any bother. Take away collection was smooth. Found pizza very flavoursome with extremely generous toppings. Nothing negative at all. Would happily use again. Thanks

I would like to try Petronys pizza in Totton for the first time, gave them a ring, the lady on the phone kept asking me to repeat what I was saying even I have tried to be really clear she didn't understand any thing, so she decided to put the phone down and chat with other members about how strong my accent and she couldn't understand anything! Yes I do have an accent but have been working in NHS for 9 years and studying in a same time I have never had a problem before! I could have a really strong and horrible accent but this doesn't give any body to a permission to talk about how I sound while I can still hear them! This was so rude an unacceptable, they might have delicious pizzas and clearly not going to loose anything just because I haven't order but this needs to change, if they can't hear clearly because of the shop being so noisy -this is what they have said- they should be taking online orders!

I have had about 1000 pizzas from petronys and they never disappoint. Never had a bad pizza and never waited a long time for collection. Delivery is a bit slower but it's worth it

Always the same fantastic taste at a price which is a bargain. Far better quality than better known brands and friendly service.

The best pizza takeaway in the area. Buy one get one free. Much better than Domino or any other of the usual names. Dont have the hot base though, it's lethal!

Love the pizzas from here so much we go back most weeks. Great value for money as well with their buy one get one free offer. Often quicker to collect but worth the wait for delivery.

I wouldn't go anywhere else for a takeaway pizza. They are that good you sometimes have to wait 2hrs but always worth the wait. Reheats better than any other pizza I've tried but must be because it's the freshest.

Nice pizza and good value. We were pleased they were able to delivery to the Premier Inn in Owner after a long day at Peppa Pig World.

We've been getting pizza here for 17 years and in that time the prices have hardly gone up and quality has remained excellent. Buy one get one free and local delivery for £1. Plenty of choice and great, friendly service.

They have a simple menu compared to many pizza houses but this is by far the best in the area and priced well.

We use Petrony's around three times a month for takeout/delivery pizza. It's always wonderful food. Their vegetarian pizza is amazing I always add extra olives!The regular base is delicious, not too crispy, and flavoursome. Unlike dominos pizza which is heavy and tasteless (in my opinion).We alway order from here when we have Friday night visitors. It's buy one get one too, so works out at really good value.

Had another tasty pizza Saturday night after returning from family holiday, always a delight coming here.

After living in Totton for almost a year, we decided to try Petronys for pizza takeaway instead of Dominos and we were not disappointed. It was cheaper than our usual order at Dominos and tasted much better, and without the dominos 'hangover' dry mouth afterwards. Highly recommended!!!

Best pizza place in Southampton hands down, come here all the time, love the pizza so much it's the best. And buy one get one free makes it even better!

I've been using Petrony's for years.... love the place (took the pi55 out of people that use the other pizza places in Totton), but I've got to admit the last 2 times I've been there all I can say is it's avaerage.... not sure what's happened, my usual thin and chrispy was now more like a deep pan, the coverage of topping seams to have dropped.... Something is different not sure what but I hope they return to the best pizza's around very soon!

If you want to try slightly different style of pizza then Petrony's is great. Deep pan and large is what I've gone for and although I thought the box looked medium, the pizza actually fills its box and comes cut in squares. So that's kind of unique. The topping choice isn't anything as adventurous as Papa John's but it's simple and good fresh ingredients. At first glance the prices look expensive per pizza, but as they always have a buy one get one free deal on, it's actually very good value! Delivery is quick and free. And

My partner and I used patrony's this weekend on recommendation we would get a good pizza. They weren't wrong! Both pizzas ordered were delicious! Lots of topping, nice and hot, and not at all doughy. The large pizza came in a square shape, the corners were extra special with crispy cheese! We will definitely be returning!

We have eaten from Petrony's Totton for a number of years. I ordered the same pizza I always order to find the toppings are becoming less and less, today was the least I have ever had. I think it's about time I changed where I buy my pizza's in the future. You can not tell me it's the cost of the produces because we are all being told the price of food is cheaper. the cost of the pizza does not give any value for money the 2 for 1 anymore. Come on Petrony sort your lives out and give us value for money.

I waited 2 and a half hours for my pizza only to phone up and find it hadn't even been made yet! Totally unacceptable and poor service from what I used to class as one of the best pizza places around. They can do pizza but they can't do delivery. I even heard the manager in the background saying 'I've got no idea what's going on here I cant find it!' Lovely pizza, but don't bother ordering on a Friday or Saturday night, they can't handle it.

We have been getting our pizzas here for years! Always fresh, tasty and hot! They also now deliver to our area but often we can't wait so collect instead! Our children love them too!

Petrony's has been in Totton for at least 30 years that I can think of. Your usual extortionate pizza prices but you get a 2nd free! Of the two, the other being Domino's, this is more authentic and reliable. Wait times can stretch on a weekend which is a testimony to it's popularity even though Domino's are round the corner.
