I'd heard great things about Petersham Nurseries, however, I left incredibly disappointed. It's worth noting that you are not allowed to order coffee without buying food. Why you may ask? I've no idea. Nowhere does it say this is a rule. The coffee itself was also severely lacking, and was served in a paper cup....why would I want a paper cup when I'm dining in? Please do better, it's not like you don't have the money.

Food looked great in display fridges but service was slow, and disinterested- verging on rude. Our coffee arrived in reasonable time (in paper cups, eat in, £3.40) but we had to wait so long for food our coffee was all but finished. The food was pre made in the fridge so no idea why it took so long to grill a barely filled cheese toastie (reality - no matter what the label said). As a last point the stools are uncomfortable due to shelving underneath the bar table. Don’t bother.

Petersham Deli delivers an extraordinary traditional deli experience marked by exceptional customer service and delectable Italian-style focaccia sandwiches and desserts. The cozy ambiance makes it an ideal spot for any occasion, and if you're seeking an exceptional quick Italian deli experience, Petersham Deli is the place to be. Highly recommended! P.s. They are also dog friendly!

A family celebration so we chose this restaurant as somewhere we had always wanted to try. We began with drinks in the deli area outside. Service was limited. The Negroni Sbagliato cocktails were awful and served in warm old school style thick glass cups. Soft drinks and water was all served without ice. I complained when I was paying. The lady said they had received similar feedback before. I asked her to remove the 13.5% service charge automatically included. Then we moved to the restaurant, hoping our experience would improve. Sadly it didn't. Staff were ok but no one stood out as genuinely caring about the customer experience and considering the prices the food was very average. A starter (equivalent to a first plate if you eat regularly in Italy) was around £28. The risotto lacked flavour and seasoning. The gnocchetti with langoustines was poor; very small and very salty and cost £34. The Tiramasu didn't resemble or taste like one at all. We had a bottle of champagne and a bottle of wine. An extra bottle of wine was added to our bill. We told them but it niggled with us and didn't feel like a genuine accident. We will not be returning. It needs a really good manager or the owner to get a grasp of both the deli and the restaurant.

Dropped in for, what we thought would be, a quick lunch. Focaccia were very tasty but we had to wait 20-25 mins for them. Service very slow and uninterested. Waiter walked past with eyes down to avoid any eye contact. Even had to wait nearly 5 mins when we asked for a menu. Reasonable food and prices spoilt by very slow service. By the way, don’t be fooled by the “soup” sign on the window - they don’t have it and the waiter just looked confused when we asked

Take some uncomfortable unappealing furniture, cute boy waiters with attitude an 21st century hairdos, a very limited menu all served on paper cups and plastic plates. This cafe/deli thinks it’s clever enough to make this work. It isn’t. The teas were ruined by not being served in China. The quiche pastry was dry enough to choke on. The filling utterly dull. Sorry guys but I’ll pass.

The place looks lovely and feels premo. Lovely courtyard spot in the heart of Covent Garden. The staff were lovely too. The price was high but I don't mind paying if what you get is worth it. But the cream tea took so long to arrive we wondered what had gone wrong. When it did turn up, it was just mediocre. Maybe my one star score is a bit harsh, but I'm fed up with being overcharged for pretentious, sub-standard food. The scones were tiny and dry, the amount of clotted cream we were given was a joke and the jam was not sweet. The sandwiches were ok as were some of the cakes. But the macaron (which I saved till last as a safe bet) was actually pretty grim.

extremely expensive and very very poorly executed, we had literally been looking forward to visiting Petersham in Covent Gardens for some years, but Covid and then other obligations kept this from being realized, but finally the day, or evening came and we arrived at 1930 on a thursday to partake in what we hoped would be an memorable evening. Well it was memorable, but not in a good sense, 417 Pounds after 1.5 hours... well it did include 13% tip, which they had " discretly " added to our bill, we went for the Premiun wine pairing, which ofcourse was very expensive, but there was something odd about the guy serving the wine, almost furtive, he just told us the name of the wine wwe were getting, and then poured, the wine was fine, but I wanted to know where it was from, much more about it`s specific charecteristics, so when we got to the red wine, I asked him if he was a Sommelier, and he said yes, ok, where did you get your Diploma, hmmm, ok, I am not a Sommelier he admitted, turns out their Sommelier had left Petersham to work at a peruvian restaurant in Mayfair, but lying to a customer ? seriously I have never had that happen to me before, as maincourse we had the ribs, absolutely terrible, very gristled and impossible to chew

Visited here for a late lunch before heading on to a music event. Where to start? The appalling service? Slow, disinterested at first, but then somewhat improved with a helpful waiter who disappeared halfway through our meal as he was on a break. Enter stage...

We wanted to get an afternoon tea from the main restaurant but we were sent to the deli. The place is quite small with only a few tables. No real service (the table still had the plates from the previous customer by the time we...

It is extremely overpriced for an ok plain burger and small protion of salad that is only lettuce!!!! . I was shocked when I saw the VAT was added later which I don't used to in london !! This make the price even much higher I can admit that the staff are polite and the service is good . 6 burger, 1 salad, 3 fries, 4 sodas cost us around £180 .

Really tasty lunch. Although the portions were small. Soured only by our unpleasant waitress who is in the wrong job. She questioned when she brought the wrong order and was so ungracious replacing the dish. She just plopped our drinks down and cast a shadow on what would have been a lovely lunch on Sunday 2nd June.

I had there very fun nights, a lot of young people and very good music. The cocktails were amazing too.

yo vivo a unas puertas y he pasado este lugar polaco muchas veces pensando que deberías probarlo, especialmente porque es un restaurante familiar independiente.
