I had there very fun nights, a lot of young people and very good music. The cocktails were amazing too.

Rude staff. Overpriced. Would not recommend to anybody. There are far better options for eating, drinking or clubbing nearby.

Overpriced drinks served in plastic "glasses", filthy toilets and a very strong smell of incense being burnt everywhere. This club relies on pastel coloured lights to disguise the dated and worn interior. Food is good and music excellent but I cannot imagine why someone would pay anything at all to get in.

The worst club ever, shocking attitude of the staff. Never again! Ignorant, aggressive and juvenile.

When I arrived, there was one obvious entrance, with 5 or so moody looking staff hanging around it. I walked up and nodded hello which very much annoyed a large chubby Eastern European looking man, who berated me for just walking up and not using the proper queuing system. So as advised, I walked around a small piece of rope and formed an orderly queue of one, just 2 feet from where I had been. I stood there in the cold for maybe 5 minutes until another man with a clip board deemed me worthy of attention and asked me: was I on the guest list (I was not) then followed an uncomfortable silence that eventually just slowly petered out until it got forgotten about, 10 minutes later I was being admitted downstairs. This was at about 11:30 on a Sunday night and it soon transpired that the place was half empty of course. The entrance fee turned out to be £20, so I said I was just going to check with the girls I was meeting to make sure that they were planning on staying in the club. I stood by the cloakroom and messaged my friend but I didn't get a response for 5 minutes, this made a large fat black man very angry and he demanded to know my intentions as I couldn't stand there all evening. This seemed reasonable (if insensitively put) so I gave them £20 and got my wrist stamped. Immediately on paying, another oversized Eastern European looking man (who had been standing there in silence the whole time) suddenly decided he needed to see my ID. I showed it to him but it seemed obvious that if I hadn't had any ID, getting my £20 back without calling the police would have been a near impossibility. My driving licence was scanned and loaded in to some software with no mention of how long they would be storing the data or what they would use it for. I usually ask about that, but the atmosphere was intimidating enough that I didn't. The club itself is quite small, more of a bar pretending to be a club by putting the lighting down and the music up. I met my friends and bought two rum and cokes and a rum for me, all singles, came to just under £60! I swear the guy serving was looking at me to see if I would flinch when I heard the price. That really is tourist rip off territory. I wonder what the price of an actual cocktail would be. There was a slight whiff of desperation about the place and it didn't seem that friendly. You know how out of town clubs can feel like they're only ever seconds away from a big fight breaking out. It was like that, and one of the things i really like about London clubs is that usually the people in them seem secure and happy enough not to need to pick fights with everyone all the time. The "Aura entrance experience" had probably put them all in a bad mood. We were there for about 45 min, and it was pretty rubbish. Our stay included a near 60 second gap with no music while they changed the DJ! I think it was telling that there was not even a peep of complaint from the (scared? / inexperienced?) clientele while that farce unravelled itself. I honestly don't know how they manage to remain open, or who would go to this club more than once. Maybe it's just a front for money laundering. We ended up going to Rise in Leicester square, a kind of tacky, fun and welcoming night club (definitely not a bar) where we bought reasonably priced drinks and danced our butts off :)

Short of money? You will be after you've been here. Having joined the queue for Mahiki, a black chap comes up and says how about Aura? My other half says ok eventually...he guides us over the street and tries to extract £20 for the walk! We get in and pay £20 each (yes the lady too!) and get a drink. Glass of wine and one champagne. Now you would have thought that in a Mayfair club these would come in a glass made of glass, but no, they come in some awful plastic beaker that looks like its come from a boot fair for 10p. Needless to say the drinks were crap and £26 later we promptly left.I will never set foot in the place again!

We were offered by one of the pr companies a table for this club.Do not use Velvet Pr at this club When we got there the bouncers were incredibly rude to all of us.. Shouting at us to stay in line. One of my friends had had one drink before and the bouncer integrated him telling him to 'Take it easy' and asking him how much he had drunk before entering. The friend had only just walked up and was stood in the line doing nothing but talking to his friends. We then asked where our table was, in which the first three people said it was not their job and did not help us at all. Once we finally reached our table, after half an hour of being ignored by the staff, we finally received our bottle of vodka, which the staff then decided to share with the people around us even though they were not at our table. We then tried to buy a round of drinks for our table and no one would take our order, we then proceeded to have to go to the bar when we wanted a drink. Two hours later we were then kicked off our table due to not spending enough money. It was ridiculous and rude, trying to explain that we were spending money at the bar but they did not listen to us at all and just kept saying Get off this table now. The crowd in the club was mostly 16 years olds with the typical old men preying on them. I would not recommend this club to anyone, do not by fooled by its location in Mayfair, it is a cheap and tacky club with ridiculous pricing on drinks.

This club is awful, do not go there! After being given a voucher by one of the club's scouts on the street we (a group of about 8 girls) tried to gain entry to the club. One of our friends (who is v tall) was wearing smart black flat shoes with a very pretty dress. The rest of us were v well dressed and in heels. We were rejected from the club purely because my friend was wearing flat shoes. When I asked to speak to a manager the bouncer was extremely rude and argumentative. I have NEVER had that sort of treatment at a club in London. I emailed to complain but have had no response from the club. I think it is a disgrace.

I've been to Aura before so I already expected a good night out. But I didn't know it was a restaurant as well so we went to check it out. The food was surprisingly very nice, to be honest I wasn't expecting it to be that good! After we ate we stayed on to the club which was once again AWESOME!! We were obviously the first ones there but it didn't take too long to get full. Good crowd, good Dj...definitely going back!

I went to Aura last weekend in a group of 9 girls for a 20th Birthday party. We reserved a table (minimum spend £600) and ended up spending £700. From the word go staff were rude - accusing us of being drunk when we arrived (we had only had a glass or two of champagne each before and were not drunk at all). They told one girl especially that she should watch what she drank as she was already looking drunk . She had come straight from work and not touched a drop of alcohol. Choosing to ignore our frosty reception, we went in to the club and were shown to our table. The drinks came out accompanied by sparklers which was a nice touch. However, after an hour they asked one of my friends to step outside to get some 'fresh air for 15 minutes' as she was looking drunk. She was tipsy but not drunk. She was sitting at our table chatting to others - doing nothing disruptive. I left with her for company and we sat outside for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes was up we tried to return to the club only to be told that we weren't allowed back in. I had left voluntarily with my friend and I wasn't even allowed back in to get my coat. Meanwhile, another two of the party were cornered and given the 15 minute scam as well. These two were ill and weren't even drinking. Slowly but surely, they threw out most of the party, leaving only the girl whose card was behind the bar and a couple of friends. After being aggressively asked to pay, she too left. The staff were outrageous. I can't believe that they treated anyone like this, let alone people who had spent £700 pounds on an evening. I never usually write reviews but thought that this had to be told. THIS CLUB IS A RIP OFF AND SCAMS CUSTOMERS TO MAKE MONEY. DON'T GO!

Strange staff at the door, it's not the bad attitude as that is expected, it was more that the staff were constantly arguing with and shouting at people waiting in line. Fortunately we were on a birthday table so bypassed most of the drama outside once I made a noise to grab the attention of one of the minions. Once inside the place is pretty small and tired looking but as they say if your in a group you can have fun pretty much anywhere.

Overrated for sure! We went there with friends so we were lucky enough to get in later at night by paying £20! The place is not attractive, it was too full and the only fun thing was the show the dancers had during the night; playing with fire and dancing around! The music was OK.. nothing too exciting! I was not impressed but whoever likes partying in London should do it and have their own opinion!

Good food, nice atmosphere which became quite lively as the evening progressed. A lovely birthday treat. Staff attentive and accommodating especially when we had seats that were far too low for our table.

It is extremely overpriced for an ok plain burger and small protion of salad that is only lettuce!!!! . I was shocked when I saw the VAT was added later which I don't used to in london !! This make the price even much higher I can admit that the staff are polite and the service is good . 6 burger, 1 salad, 3 fries, 4 sodas cost us around £180 .

Really tasty lunch. Although the portions were small. Soured only by our unpleasant waitress who is in the wrong job. She questioned when she brought the wrong order and was so ungracious replacing the dish. She just plopped our drinks down and cast a shadow on what would have been a lovely lunch on Sunday 2nd June.
