I was walking past this shop and saw the sign for a chip butty and was excited to revisit the taste of my youth. The chips were delicious, soft with some lovely crunchy bits 😋 however the bun not so much. The bun tasted like the lidl 6 for £1.50 type bun, it was floppy and within minutes it just fell apart. A bakery roll would have been much better with some really Anchor butter. Staff were lovely and friendly and the place was really nice and clean.

Decent fish and chip shop in a convenient location near the seafront. We ordered takeaway, but there’s both indoor and a bit of outdoor seating available. It’s a popular spot, so be prepared for a queue. Prices are reasonable and portions are generous, with a good variety of fish on offer. The fish was nicely crispy but lacked seasoning – some flavour during cooking would have made a big difference. Chips were tasty, though. I asked for salt and vinegar but it wasn’t added, so had to sort it myself at the table. I also ordered mushy peas and it also needed some seasoning. The décor is interesting, with fish exhibits and informative boards. However, the seating inside is quite cramped and hygiene could be improved.

Very weird to have to review like this as we were down for a weeks stay and visited twice for take away first time on a busy Friday evening 2 x medium cod and chips delicious absolutely great taste and fish flaky and not greasy really good . Then thought were just have chips again as they were so nice so little later than last visit popped in about 6.30 and ordered battered sausage and chips and steak pie and chips !!! How disappointing pie was nice it’s a steak pie and sausage ok but chips were barely warm and re-heats with 40% hollow crisps not chips . Both visits we had to wait a few minutes but that’s fine . So guys visit only when queues are out the door and your’ll get fresh .

Here for a few days and checked on TripAdvisor for a decent fish and chip shop... our first choice was closed on a Monday so our next option was here. Well the menu doesn't offer a vast choice but good enough ( l would have loved a pineapple fritter) l ordered large cod, large haddock and 1 large chips, the fish was well cooked and to order, lovely crisp batter and huge in size, which was good for the £9.20 each piece. However the chips were brown and not overly appetising covered in scabs from poor cleaning and a woolly texture to the point of although it was a large portion we ate 6 before throwing away. Not sure if they had been reheated but they let the side down. Staff very friendly and happy... not jobsworths or wishing they were elsewhere...... so they definitely need a pay rise, unfortunately they do need to learn how to cook a decent chip.

I'm a difficult man to please when it comes to reviews. But on this occasion I have to give five stars because I couldn't fault my visit. A cold February day on the coast and we had fish & chips and a mug of tea for lunch. Busy place but fast and polite service. Excellent quality fish & chips and good value for money. No frills certainly, but this is a chippy not a Michelin-starred restaurant. Many thanks.

Stopped off here in Ramsgate for a bite to eat, undoubtedly the best fish and chips I’ve eaten for a long time.A welcoming place, very clean and friendly staff.Three of us had medium Cod&chips and my partner had a steak pie chips. We sat in to eat, food is served up in the boxes but with proper cutlery which is great. The fish was superb, pure white succulent cod cooked to perfection , no skin either so you know it’s been prepared properly, the batter was light, not greasy, honestly if I could I would of eaten again ! The chips yummy! The steak pie my partner said was bloody fab with plenty of meat in it, and he loves a pie! Well done to all the Staff here we loved it and will definitely come back again🌟⭐️🌟

The worst fish and chips I've ever had. Neither me or my children could eat the fish goujions, they were almost completely batter with the thinnest slither of fish and they were so saturated in oil that they dripped. The food was ok. The large cod wasn't good value. Not the greatest piece of fish but slightly better than average. Eat in and the food served in takeaway boxes. I know fish and chips are now becoming a luxury, price wise. But this was on the higher end and not great value. The sauces were poor particularly the curry. A cafe environment charging restaurant prices. It's better than average quality wise but not up to the prices charged.

Undoubtedly a very busy place at the weekends. The fish was, as expected, quite good—crispy and flavourful. However, the chips left much to be desired. They were too sticky for my liking, which took away from the overall meal. One thing that really surprised me was the pricing. While I understand that good fish comes at a cost, I didn’t appreciate paying extra for condiments. Seriously, £1 for ketchup/ mayonnaise? That felt a bit excessive. The service was excellent. The staff was friendly and attentive. They really know how to keep customers happy, and I appreciated that. Overall, while the fish is definitely worth a try, I hope they'll reconsider their chip preparation and condiment pricing. It’s a decent spot, but I think I’ll be looking for other options next time I'm in Ramsgate. Cheers.

MORE AT Google

I honestly cannot see how anyone could give anything less than 5 stars for this place, truthfully as this HAS to be the best quality and best value Fish & Chips by far in the South-East for sure. None of this old oil, thick stodgy batter or soggy chips that turn to mush like you seem to be getting at most fish & chip places. The offers they have on such as £5.55 for Haddock & Chips, Hoki & Chips etc. are medium sized portions but the fish is AMAZING. You can tell the attention to detail and quality is their priority as there are massive flakes in the fish, chips are cooked perfectly so that they're not either soft or mushy as they keep their consistency. Curry sauce is modified in their own way, which makes it different to your usual chip shop curry sauce like you'd get from a Chinese takeaway. I'd rather drive down and get this than put up with the below par quality you get in London and South-East, as some do start off well then when they get a high enough customer count then the foot comes off the gas and quality starts to decline which isn't good. With this place, consistently perfect and HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Was absolutely awful!! Disgusting to see a saveloy thrown in the microwave, by someone with go gloves on, saveloy wasn’t wrapped in anything. This same person kept opening the microwave door touching it with his bare hands and not even washing his hands after touching change! It’s disgusting! How can somewhere with a 5 star hygiene rating, have standards like this. Will not be returning!

Absolutely delicious seafood. The best we've tasted. Very fresh. My fiance and her mother thoroughly enjoyed it.

Great food, great atmosphere, the resin tables and wall charts have kept my daughter entertained on multiple visits too!
