I went to little ships yesterday with my mum and 5 year old son. The meal was very expensive but delicious so I didn't mind. However they did not have a children's menu. So, I ordered my son a egg and a sausage. When we got the bill they charged £3 for the egg, which my little boy didn't eat as it was covered in pepper and £4.50 for the sausage. This was a complete rip off.... I should of known as when I visited prior for breakfast, it cost £60 and I was charged for mustard. The food is lovely but very over priced.

When I read the description of the English Breakfast, I said to my family, we are going to have the best ever breakfast of our lives! I was wrong. The price is double a normal English Breakfast (merited if quality and quantity are there) but, the size was half a normal breakfast, and the quality was less than average. No mushroom, so we received half a tomato extra, which was NOT communicated when we ordered. Eggs luke warm at best, and hard. When I mentioned the problems when paying, the attitude of the owner was so curt that it was rude. Such a shame!!! I should have believed the other reviews and avoided this "restaurant". Avoid avoid avoid!!! Over £20 per person for a shameful English Breakfast.

This restaurant has allowed The Real Scoop ice cream parlour to use the doorway between the fire exit and the disabled toilet of Little Ships restaurant to store its equipment. This blocks access to the restaurant and the toilet for people with walking difficulties when it is packed away in the evenings. A complete disgrace that they have little concern for the disabled, for whom life is tough enough already. I also wonder what a health and safety inspector would say about the fire exit to the restaurant being blocked. I hope they find a better place to store their equipment next season.

There was very little choice on the boulevard in Ramsgate when it comes to a good restaurant. It was remarkably quiet at the little Ship, but the map looked good. The dishes served were tasty, but very small portions and the final bill left a bitter aftertaste. The 10% service was certainly not appropriate! In short, definitely not recommended!

What an absolute rip off! Was looking forward to a decent English Breakfast at £18 pounds a pop, over £50 for 2 with tea!!!! How could it be so disappointing? 2x hard eggs 1x under cooked inedible sausage, dry tomato and stale sour dough bread, so over crunchy when toasted. Feel like I have been taken for a fool. I will not be making the same mistake again, and will advise friends to avoid avoid avoid! I don’t normally write reviews, but honestly this dining experience was just unfair.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Little Ships restaurant in Ramsgate, and I must say that it was an outstanding experience. From start to finish, everything was exceptional👌🏽 The restaurant itself has a lovely atmosphere, with a warm and welcoming vibe that makes you feel right at home. The decor is charming and rustic, with a nod to the nautical heritage of Ramsgate, which adds to the overall charm. The food was simply outstanding. Each dish was beautifully presented, bursting with flavour and made with the freshest, highest quality ingredients. Whether it was the perfectly cooked seafood or the succulent meat dishes, every bite was a delight. What really sets Little Ships apart, however, is the service. The staff were attentive, friendly and knowledgeable, without ever being overbearing. They went out of their way to ensure that we had an amazing dining experience, and it truly showed. Overall, I cannot recommend Little Ships highly enough. If you're looking for a fantastic meal in Ramsgate, this is the place to go. The food, service and atmosphere are all top-notch👏🏼 Thanks to the team at Little Ships for an unforgettable evening!

It’s safe to say that this was the worst brunch experience in my life. I don’t normally leave bad reviews for independent small businesses, but this is so outrageous that I went through the effort to register and leave a review. So obviously it’s eye watering expensive as per other reviews. But it’s not just expensive, it’s absolute rip off because food is mediocre at best and coffee is just appallingly bad. Mocha was £5.50 per cup and you’d expect at least real whipped cream and some chocolate for that price tag. Nope, wrong. All you get is the most basic beano cafe style latte with some chocolate powder in it and some pathetic looking froth at the top. Cherry on the top is the cutlery that compliments this concoction which is the most embarrassing element of it - the cheapest ugliest Poundland value style teaspoon. It’s just morally bankrupt to charge £5.50 for a coffee and give 10p teaspoon with it? Then breakfast itself. Where do I start? So it’s £16.50 and for that you get one sausage (why only one for that price?), stale mushroom, also one piece, (fresh mushrooms do not taste like mine did), tiny piece of bacon, hashbrown, sourdough toast and poached eggs. The concept of poached eggs completely eluded the chef because we were a big group and people next to me all had poached eggs, and all the eggs I saw, which was 8 to be precise, were all either over cooked or severely over cooked. What’s the point in offering poached eggs if you can’t make them? Proof pic attached. Eggs Benedict sauce was very poor effort as it was mainly lemon tasting. Muffins were cheap and nothing artisan about them. Extra avocado was eye watering + £4.50 surcharge and it wasn’t even one full avocado there, half at best. Just shocking how bad it was. Tables we sat at were just awful quality. These tacky laminated table tops and all different heights when joined together, which is fine if it’s a greasy spoon environment, but totally unacceptable when you are charging over £20 per meal & coffee. Don’t bother if you have kids either. Sparkling elderflower drink, which is bog standard kingsdown brand, is a whooping £5.50 each, even though they are £3.50 anywhere else, even in fancy restaurant which this one, I repeat, this one is most certainly not. Child’s toast, beans and overcooked eggs was £12. I actually asked fried eggs with her toast, but that was too difficult to remember, as we got poached instead. Waiter didn’t smile once, never been asked if we wanted more drinks, sugar on offer was in those little paper packets (mismatched and different brands, bookers buy no doubt) and everything was a bit like you find in a greasy spoon in the middle of Blackpool, except it wasn’t. Brunch with one drink each and one meal each for a family of 3 was £60. What a waste of money! I will make sure I never come back and tell others to avoid like the plague. It was on a Saturday morning, so I couldn't be bothered to complain as there were a few of us, but everyone felt the same. Awful!

The breakfast we ordered took 50 mins to come out which was poor as we were one of 2 family’s in the restaurant. (1 full English and 2 Children’s breakfasts) When we asked how long our food would be the waiter asked the chef the same question which he then proceeded to moan about not having any help which felt quite awkward as we heard everything. When the food arrived we found it to be of fairly good quality and would of been pleased if it was priced fairly. The biggest issue this restaurant has is it’s prices. Nearly £20 for a breakfast is just outrageous! And £5:50 for a very average coffee. Unfortunately with prices like this .. no matter how good the breakfast is.. I won’t be returning. I will also add the waiter added 10% onto my bill without asking or declaring this on the receipt! I managed to get this back thankfully.

We had a really good, vegan-friendly meal here. They were really busy on the evening of Easter Sunday but we decided to try our luck and they had a quick re-jig and a table for two appeared! The vegan options were extremely tasty and the wine list had vegan wines clearly marked which was much-appreciated. Service was good, especially given that the team was fairly small. The seafood we saw coming out looked beautiful. We very much enjoyed being in a good restaurant that was also somehow classily WW2-themed. Views over the harbour as the sun went down were lovely.

Been to little ships for breakfast/ brunch many times. Has always been a bit expensive but the quality has been good. Unfortunately, my last visit wasn’t so good! Prices have gone up and the food was lower quality, not even hot and the service mediocre. Heard the staff comment that the business was ‘reassuringly expensive’! I’m not so sure. Won’t be eating there again.

A cozy and nice coffee shop by the Royal Marina... The Latte and the Earthcuterie bowl were superb... Nice place to visit if you're in this part of town... I'd highly recommend.

The fish is fresh and well seasoned. However I found hair in the dish and report to the staff, he just replaced a new plate (he took the plate with a piece of the fish) without any apologies. The chef weren’t wearing any hat or covers for hair. We were even charged service fee. Well, if you would like to have some seafood with hair, please come.

Ate here today, our second visit. Wonderful setting and very attractive restaurant, inside and out. Service was friendly and efficient (almost too swift clearing our plates!). But the food was disappointing, and expensive. We had the Catch of the day for 2, bass fillets, fish cakes and mussels, with fries and samphire. The fish was great, but about half the mussels were empty or shrivelled to almost nothing. The samphire was over-cooked too. I did report it, but apart from apologies that was it.I didn't make a fuss to avoid spoiling our day. My son's chicken vol-au-vent was fine, he said. 3 mains and one drink each cost us £110 plus tips, so £120+. Not good value and definitely poor quality. Three stars because the place is great and so is the service. Otherwise it would have been 2!

Chef and food was excellent , although at £17.50 for breakfast it should be . Being charged a further 25p for each tiny pot of sauce I think was too much and then a further 10 percent service charge . Great food but breakfast for two with coffee and a orange juice £57.50 ouch . Would of returned regularly had there not been a service charge and sauce charge

Although the food was tasty, the price was very high for our brunch for 2 people at £55. Coffee quality was great, but £3.95 for a small cup! I guess you're paying for the location!
