A gorgeous garden centre cafe. Wide variety of delicious brunch/lunch foods, prepared extremely quickly. Arrived with 17 friends and were all served food and drinks within half an hour. All made freshly, lots of specials. Allergy friendly too - coeliac, vegan, nut allergies all catered too. Attentive and kind service. Beautiful indoor and outdoor scenery. Reasonably priced. Couldn’t find a negative thing to say! Would love to come back if we lived closer. P.S. Scones are spectacular.

Lovely little cafe hidden away in a garden centre. Dogs are welcome in the pretty courtyard. All day breakfast was delicious with a pot of tea. The wife had a chicken, pesto and roasted pepper ciabatta which was apparently very good. Polite and efficient service with a smile. Recommended 👍

What.a.find!!!!! 5 ⭐️ for food and 5 ⭐️ service. We’ve been coming to abersoch for years and were keen to try some new places. Delighted we visited for brunch. Does an all day breakfast and a bistro menu - I think officially from 12pm but they very kindly let us order at 1130am. Run by sue & Janice - these ladies are super lovely & super competent. Service was excellent and the food delicious! We’ll be back - thank you!

We were desperate to find a nice cafe whilst travelling around Abersoch and were frustrated with the lack of variety and something more inspiring. We were driving along and noticed the sign for this garden centre cafe….. What a gem we found. We had the most delicious lunch with drinks in their wonderful courtyard served by the most kind and attentive staff. To add an even greater experience the sun came out just for us. We loved the vibe of this place so much we went the next day. Beautiful home made food and an environment that has been lovingly laid out. We felt any stresses we may have had melt away. Great food, great staff, great job. Well done to everyone at the Petal a pot an oasis tucked away. Loved it We shall return.

I was taken there for my birthday tea yesterday. We have dogs so sat outside the main cafe in a heated pod. It was fabulous. I think the best high tea I have had. We heard this was a great breakfast stop. Sadly it was very average and I can cook a better ‘full English’ myself. Staff weren’t overly friendly, we sat outside as we had a dog all the seats were wet which I get, but no help to wipe them down or anything. Won’t be going back. Lots more places to try.

My wife and I visited bank holiday Monday and were treated really well with the friendliest of staff. We returned on the Tuesday at lunchtime. The blonde mature staff member ordered us to sit down and await table service. 15 minutes passed by and we asked when we were going to get service. She replied everybody gets served in order, a polite 'I'll be with you in a minute', would have been suffice. We made her aware that she started serving others before us. Her response was I dont have eyes in the back of my head. We decided to leave and told her not to bother serving us. She shrugged her shoulders and said ah well. I challenged her attitude in a calm manner but she was very rude and commanded an audience with the other patrons being entertained by her poor hospitality demeanor. Yes it was busy, but customers weren't exactly queuing out of the doors, she was obviously overwhelmed, hence her rudeness showing her lack of customer service skills which were non existent. Been in this business for 40 years and never come across such a bad example of staff manners. You should hold your head in shame, you know who you are. Needless to say, we will not return.

Sue provided us with a very warm welcome and service, whilst Toni made the most fantastic afternoon tea. As encouraged through the website, we had attempted to book the day before via WhatsApp. This didn’t work, so we ended up calling on the morning of the day we wanted to go. Sue checked and called us straight back as promised. We ordered 2 normal and 2 veggie afternoon teas. We thought, being an on the day order that the the food may not be that good. To our surprise and our stomach’s delight, the sandwiches were fresh and delicious. The veggie choices were imaginative and what cakes we were too full to eat there and then were package up for us to take home. We sat inside but there is some lovely seating outside, which will be sure to enjoy on our next visit, for we will be returning. An unexpected, hidden away tea room, is the Petal a Pot. Make this your destination for Lucy and teas, for a treat on holiday or any day. Thanks Sue, we loved it.

I asked a few questions regarding the menu and got very short & curt responses ! If I hadn't had been with my 6 year old daughter who was hungry I would have left the establishment. When the food arrived it was nice although the token teaspoon of coleslaw was a bit lame. Not sure if we will visit again.

My partner and I are vegan and visited here with family after seeing there were vegan options on the menu. However, the staff clearly had no idea what vegan meant - although there is a veggie/vegan breakfast on the menu (the only option, other than beans on toast), upon ordering the vegan one we then had to specify no egg with it. My partner also ordered a latte with soy milk and was then brought a latte with cows milk because "the soy milk wouldn't froth up properly", and was asked if it mattered. When he asked again for it with soy milk as previously requested, he was brought another one which we suspect was the original one with cows milk, although I would like to give them the benefit of the doubt on that. I wouldn't mind people not knowing about veganism - this is North Wales, not central London - but if you label things as vegan on your menu, you should understand what that means . The food was ok, the breakfast had homemade vegan sausages which is a nice thought but they were dry and a bit tasteless. The non-vegan food ordered by the party was generally good. This isn't a review to say don't come here, but if you have dietary requirements do be aware that it might be difficult - there are definitely places in the area that take it more seriously. It would be great for staff to be properly informed and more options made available.

Having pre booked for a group of 14/15 people I was very surprised to find that we were seated around two tables on a mis match of chairs of different heights. We felt uncomfortable as we were squashed together with no elbow room. When we suggested maybe some of us could use a table nearby we were informed that our table was set for 15,take it or leave it attitude. The table was full of teapots, bowls of crisps and salad leaves with the odd half cherry tomato here and there. First to arrive were scones and cakes. The scone half, with jam and cream on top were the only normal sized items. The cakes were ridiculously small and not even a bite size. Quite a job trying to fit them in on the already full table, followed by the smallest sausage rolls I have ever seen. Also some flat tarts that turned out to be brie and caramellised onion quiche! Finally a mixture of finger sandwiches arrived, piled on top of one another and very hurriedly described by the lady serving. By this time, when it was time to start eating, the table was so packed that we had to put our cups onto our plates, with dishes being piled on top of one another. The food was quite tasty but for £14 a head not good value for money. It would have been far better had they explained that they could not accomodate us instead of putting us all, packed like sardines as they did, on the two tables. To top it all when someone asked for more tea it was extra! Over £2 each for pots of tea. I am sorry, but I would never recommend this place for a group. This experience spoilt what was supposed to be a birthday celebration. The people in charge came over as very grabbing, trying to cram everybody in and take as much money as possible whilst scimping all round. An experience not to be repeated.

I do love how the cream tea includes some bara brith which I try to achieve whenever I eat a cream tea in Wales. This cafe has been quite busy in the past but we were lucky and enjoyed a relaxing brew with a few other diners. My wife had a scone, the kids had a brownie and a homemade cake. My son enjoys all brownies so he is easily pleased. Around £18 bill which is at the top end if buying everyday (who doesn't?) Our first choice in Criccieth was shut and Pwllheli was super busy so a detour to Abersoch was required. Got my cream tea in for the day all targets met!

I chose a special off the blackboard = medium jacket potato topped with a small portion of mild chilli-con-carne, served with a separate pot of grated cheese, a salad garnish and a few plain crisps. We shared a large pot of strong tea. The bill came to £19.25 which I was able to pay by contactless card in the garden centre shop. We received a warm welcome, both from the staff and the log burner!

This is a beautiful place to have lunch. We wanted to eat in Abersoch but the heavens opened and we decided to head back to the garden centre cafe we noticed on the way in. So glad we did. Lovely lunch in lovely surroundings served by very friendly staff. Th portions were excellent and the coffee was hot and strong.

We originally went to Abersoch but parking was for a hour or £4 for the day and we were only going to stay for lunch. Everywhere seemed very busy so we turned round and stopped at this place at the Abersoch garden centre. We all had a jacket potato with cheese, chilli or prawns, nicely cooked. The young waitress was very pleasant and served drinks fairly quickly.Food didn't take long and it was nice. The cakes looked very yummy so we had to try them namely Victoria sandwich and scone with jam and cream. They were as nice as they looked, yummy.I would normally have rated as excellent but.... A couple of small points over the cake counter is an artificial roof thing which had cob webs on it, the tables had cracks on them where food crumbs were collecting and the middle aged gentlemen who took the credit card payment hardly spoke, no eye contact, a smile and have a nice comment doesn't hurt anyone when they have spent the best part of £50 but sadly this was missing.Don't let this put you off visiting the food and waitress service was lovely.

This is a very nice little tea room with outside tables either under the sun or in straw huts which make it shady and private, there is a reasonable selection of sandwich and cakes they also have wheat free bread which is good for my wife. We had a lovely time.

We finally got to have breakfast here, having turned up too early the day before. I went for scrambled egg and sausage with toast and my boyfriend opted for the full English. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. We would like to come back here for lunch in the future.

We were told that we really should visit this place, but when we got there we were a bit surprised about how small it is and that they don't really have much stock. We had something to eat in the café and although it was ok don't think it was great value, a pot of tea with a smallish slice of bara brith and a small scone was £6.99 and my husband had a pulled pork muffin, there wasn't much pork on the muffin and what there was burnt, and again this was £7.99 with a bit of salad a few crisps and a small pot of coleslaw, not good value and not as good as we thought it would be. The scone was ok but could have been a bit bigger.

We stopped here for breakfast twice, having been disappointed by the service at another establishment. The breakfast rolls are tasty, especially the sausages, and both the tea and coffee were good. Fair prices and very friendly service. Outdoor seating where you can eat your food whilst enjoying the beautiful views of Llanberis and its surroundings. Also does delicious cakes, milkshakes and hot chocolate. Highly recommended.

I'm actually gutted to be writing this review as we thought we had found a good haunt when we first tried last week. 2 adults & 2 children all had a lovely lunch time meal the previous week so we rebooked for the 2 adults for an evening meal the following weekend. The starter was lovely for both of us but we both ordered fillet steak for our main and I don't know what meat it was but it certainly wasn't a beef steak. It didn't look like one, taste like one or even cut like one. I was genuinely gutted as it has put me off going back again because I feel like it's just rude to expect somebody not to notice and left feeling like we've been totally ripped off. You don't order a fillet steak if you don't know exactly what to expect on your plate so the audacity to think you can pull that off is unbelievable. I can't complain about the service, both times it has been spot on, lovely women but unfortunately we won't be returning after been served that.

On a recent visit to Barmouth we found this little Gem of a place that is open on Sundays. There was a special board out side and it was the Cheese and Onion pie that drew us in . Both my husband and me had this and it came with new potatoes and salad . It was delicious and very reasonably priced . We were naughty and were too tempted by the delicious homemade sweets and puds they had to offer . I had the jam and coconut cake and my husband opted for the apple pie. They were presented lovely with fruit and a pot of cream on the side. The staff were friendly and attentive. Will definitely be returning next time we are in Barmouth
