Italian tapas sounds strange but works very well. The food and service are excellent And the atmosphere manages to be cozy whilst also typically Italian.

Chicken wings where raw sent them back then rude rude manager came to argue back and say "in future why dont you ask for it to be cooked longer." ITS NOT A STEAK! AGREED to take of Bill but kept arguing saying they where cooked. Translucent chicken and blood. Very rude manager. The girl who served us was very polite and kind but was told off by manager for not wanting another bowl of chicken after raw ones . Disgusting behaviour . Other food was nice but she ruined the whole dinner and vibe . I understand the chef said it was marinated but the inside was not ! New manager needed

Brilliant food. Great wine. Friendly attentive staff. Reasonably priced. Well worth a visit. Italian small plates at their best.

Just got back from Pesto!! I want to swear but I will contain myself! Just WOW, what a fantastic evening of scrumptious Italian food, but even better, it was served in perfect tapas like portions, as advertised of course. The Staff were extremely professional, courteous and attentive. Managers (take heed) you have wonderful staff, look after them! (IIP) this was a birthday treat from the wife, and we will definitely be back, thats for sure. Well done guys 👍👍

its a really nice place. Food is great and reasonably priced for the area. I've had more expensive and not as nice food at other Italians in the area. Plenty of parking, its popular so book to avoid disappointment. Lots of small portions so they recommend 2 or 3 dishes per person and then share from there. My top tip is the rack of ribs is lovely and enough to share between a couple of you.

Tapas menu is brilliant at lunchtime. Pick 3 items for different prices. Large portions,freshly prepared

Love coming here for lunch . Always have a selection of the small tapas plates and tried some of the new additions which were delicious and very good portions . This is probably one of the best Italian restaurants in the North West. The staff are always friendly and helpful.

Afternoon with tje family, for my nephews birthday. Realy nice placevto vist. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and the food was nice. Nice place to go, for lunch, or with the family.

Had a lovely meal here today, good value on the 3 for £14.50 menu. Food was really tasty, the skewered chicken was to die for. We ate outside in the sun which was beautiful and the lady who served was very polite and accommodating. Can't wait to return. :)

Visited here with friends who are vegetarian. The restaurant's theme is Italian tapas, and the menu has a wide range of dishes including fish, meat and vegetarian tapas dishes. Our ordered dishes were delivered promptly, were nice and hot substantial portions which were very good. If you dine before 7pm three tapas dishes cost between £11.50 to £14.50 which is good value and lots to eat! The full price later ranges from £4 to £5 for each dish which is still good. Deserts are Italian based and include affogato which we had and was delicious.

Was fabulous, 3 lunch menus where you could choose 3 dishes from each, great large choice and very tasty, we were very full. Staff were very friendly and attentive. The lunch menus are in till 7pm!

I visited Pesto at the Dicconson on a Sunday lunchtime. It's the first time I've been to this eatery, although my dining partner has been before and said it was good. Upon arrival of we were directed to a nice table. The young lady who met us was very friendly and polite. The restaurant area is very well appointed, really classy, with nice big windows. Our orders were taken promptly, and our drinks 🍸 arrived quickly. There's a big selection on the menu. Regarding the food. It was very good and the prices are very reasonable for the quality. I enjoyed the dishes I ordered. Really good flavours. Overall, I enjoyed my visit and would recommend this eatery. 👌🏿

Really enjoyed our first meal here this evening. Wasn’t rushed. Food was delicious not one complaint. Staff very friendly, helpful and welcoming. The red wine I had was top notch I’ve forgotten the name but it really complimented everything. Will come again. Thank you for a pleasurable evening

Absolutely superb. Best meal we have had for years. So many small plates to choose from I think we could go a dozen times and have different delicious meals every time.

Excellent Staff (NOTHING is too much trouble and always pleasant) and food. Beautiful place. 100% top notch and good value. Also, their take out food is excellent. 4 visits now. Impeccable service. Highly recommended by myself and all my family too. There was a price rise (acceptable) but in the past three weeks there seems a reduction in size of some options.

Went here on a Friday afternoon with my friend, I'd been once before years ago . It was my friend's first time. There is so much to choose from and very reasonably priced. Friendly, helpful staff and lovely comfy chairs in a pleasant environment. The food was delicious as was the hot chocolate, it was actually nice and HOT. We'll definitely be going back soon .

Went for lunch, food was beautiful but the service was very slow.

Great food! Unfortunately the manageress is not very friendly. Took ages to place order and get food which is ok as they were busy and we were understanding. When asking the manageress for the oil and balsamic to go with the bread she abruptly put on table with no dish. Then asked if we needed more drinks which never arrived.

Pizza awful. Service terrible. Treated terribly regarding allergies and was undermined

Gorgeous food and welcoming staff! So many veggie options, we struggled to pick dishes, which is rare!

Lovely meal to catch up with friends. Plenty of gluten free options and the waitress carefully detailed all options available to me. Food was delicious and the atmosphere was calm and welcoming. A really enjoyable experience.

Came in with my partner for a meal early evening on a Monday. We were seated swiftly and our drink orders were taken. We chose 3 items off the 11.99 menu and 3 off the 12.99 menu. Food came out really quickly and we enjoyed it. Would recommend this place if you are wanting a nice meal with your partner.

Excellent food. It was our first visit but will not be our last. The only downside was that the staff could have been a little more attentive. Spent a little to long in-between clearing the plates from our main course and returning with the dessert menus then another wait for the choices to arrive. The restaurant was not over busy to justify waiting. Overall a pleasant experience.

First time here, went without booking on Sunday afternoon. Made to feel very welcome by all staff. Food came quickly and as we had like a tapas selection of Italian food we were impressed. All the various foods were very tasty and portions were good enough to fill us up. We will be going again and soon hopefully.

A lovely birthday family meal. Awesome selection of vegetarian options. We left full and very happy. Lovely food, staff and exceptionally clean setting.

The new menu has loads of options to choose from. We had 4 dishes with bread and olives which were really adequate. The dishes were really tasty. Recommended the stew highly. The staff are very attentive and friendly. A lovely experience. Definitely Recommended.

Was looking forward to dining with you tonight as it’s my Granddaughter’s birthday. On arrival we asked for a table for 5 people. We was told to wait, no problem the restaurant was around 25% occupied. The “manager” then proclaimed that they have a no children policy which forbids children after 8pm . We was quite taken aback by this and we left feeling more than disappointed. When we got back home we checked the Pesto website there was no mention of this policy, not only no mention, rather that Pesto claim to welcome children and ofer their Bambino menu. We then phoned the restaurant and asked to speak to the manager to ask for her name, she was very abrupt and rude but then backtrack and said that it wasn’t Pesto policy but was something that she had been used to implementing herself. Very very poor in my opinion. Won’t be entertaining Pesto again.

We went on a Sunday for late lunch/early dinner and were able to order from the lunch menu. Great choice on the menu and loved being able to pick 3 dishes, like an Italian tapas. The food was divine and just the right portion size. The service was great, we had a lovely time!

So disappointed we was a party of 3 adults put in an area which on had children previously and at the time of arrival and throughout our time eating waiting times far too long for drinks food arrived without plates for main course. Was told sorry I forgot about them. ?? Food not hot Tuscan beef stew nothing but grissel couldn’t eat it very disappointed ask if we could have cheese board after deserts made to accommodate 3 people was told no sorry just split it even though we offered To pay more ?? Order’s coffees forgot milk order one extra drink waitig time not acceptable very disappointed with first time here will not consider this restaurant again

First and won't be the last visit. Much enjoyed all the dishes we had. The expresso was outstanding. Thought garlic bread, nice as it was, should have been more garlicky. Everything else including service and ambiance was highly commendable and at very reasonable prices makes Pesto one of the best eateries in the area. Shame no real ale, guess one can't have everything.

Fathers Day family gathering. Couldn't have been nicer Staff were excellent. Manageress - Laura, was spot on and noticed every little thing that was necessary. Menu choice is much improved and, particularly for a dining 'chain', the food didn't have a mass produced feel to it. Well done gang at Dickinson Arms.

Just loved the food and atmosphere

Great food as always, If like me you always want to order everything off the menu but obviously ordering one of eveything is not practicle, then Pesto is ideal. You can order lots of small tappas style dishes, from lasagne to pizza, to mushrooms, all small dishes so you dont over face. The quality of the food is fantastic, the kids love it too. One if my fav Italian restauants. Thankyou
