Five ladies all had an amazing day, lovely Spa area, the separate changing rooms and relaxation room are brilliant, we enjoyed the classes in the morning especially the Pilates - Amanda was brilliant and so funny, we all had a lovely light lunch in Bennett’s restaurant followed by our treatments which were just wow- also enjoyed a lovely swim- we would love to return and do it all again

Stayed here for a party for my wife. They were great on the organisation of everything and the rooms and overnight stay were excellent.

I had stayed last night with my girlfriend, for my birthday. The hotel on entry is very pleasant. As we was greeted by the receptionist, last night she was very unhelpful, or welcoming i thought this was not very professional, when we asked were the room was located and needed help filling out the forms. The room itself was nice. the bed and bathroom was really nice. We both didn't like the carpet in the room. it was old fashioned and slippery could do with updating. Overall the receptionist in the morning was nice along with the other staff. I would rate it 4/5

We got married here on 23.08.24 and it was the most amazing day, all of our guests commented on how beautiful the venue was and how good the food was. India was amazing from start to finish, she was very responsive to emails on the run up to the wedding and she was fantastic on the day making sure everything ran smoothly, she really did make our day completely stress free. All of my family have commented on how amazing she was. Sean and victor were also fantastic the staff go above and beyond to make sure you have the best day. We are so glad we chose The wrightington hotel for our wedding day, we could not of wished for a better day it was perfect. Thank you so much for everything.

I have a medical condition that I needed the spa to be aware of in-case I couldn’t have some of the treatments and they were really really helpful with great communication. They purposely made sure everything was okay for me. Would go again and highly recommend to others.

Had an amazing first visit, we opted for the sip and relax package, really enjoyed the afternoon tea, Debbie made the experience particularly more special, she is such a great host, the quality of food ingredients was very good quality, the pool and spa area is lovely, the team definitely take pride in the premises, everything is pristine and clean where ever you go, thank you very all

We recently got married here in October 2023 in the blazers suite with an evening only wedding package. We wish we could go back in time and change our venue! If you are getting married here, please see below a few things that happened to us. 1. We ate in the bennets restaurant the night before, my sister and only bridesmaid spent my wedding day in the bathroom extremely unwell with symptoms of food poisoning and missed our wedding. (Reported to Lanc Enviro Health) 3. My husband and his brother were given the room next to mine to get ready, we were both told not to leave our rooms in case we saw one another. There was a significant delay in our ceremony, it affected our photography time and my now husband was blamed for the delay. CCTV has since proven this was not the case however the experience of speaking with the hotel manager was very unprofessional and extremely stressful in trying to prove that the delay in the ceremony was our fault. 4. We served the evening food as a meal before the party with 2 choices, some of our guests were allowed both choices and others were only allowed 1 choice, this caused some upset. There was plenty of food left over but this was not communicated to us/our guests. Our wedding cake was served for dessert, the cake was cut into really small pieces and there wasn't enough for guests. The next day we still had half of each of the 3 tiers of our wedding cake. 5. We hired a selfie mirror for the party and agreed before the wedding where it would be located in the ceremony room entrance next to the dancefloor. On the night the mirror was located in the ceremony room the furthest away from the bar/dancefloor (next to the fire exit) where guests could not see it, this resulted in the mirror not being used as we thought as it was out of sight. 6. The DJ was included in the wedding package, unfortunately he was not very good, there were many times the dance floor was empty because of the songs played. Prior to the wedding we requested songs, when these were played everyone was up and dancing but he didn't keep that momentum going. He didn't read the room and when guests tried to request a song he refused. 7. Our wedding package was booked till 1am but the DJ and bar closed at 12:15am. 8. We didn't have a key for the maddox suite and when asked at reception we were asked did you not check in? I am not sure at which point during your wedding day you are meant to check in? 9. It wasn't communicated that our belongings from the rooms we got ready in were not moved to the maddox suite, arrived in our room and had no belongings. Family/friends had to locate our belongings in the hotel and bring them to us the morning after. There was more issues but it doesnt allow me to write them all. All of the above impacted our wedding day, it wasn't the day we had imagined. When we raised a complaint after the wedding the manager was very rude and disrespectful. The hotel was not being truthful in events that happened on the day, to the extreme that CCTV had to be looked at in the hotel. There will be things on a wedding day that won't go to plan but this was too much, we are still very sad about our wedding day and unfortunately we can't change it. There were some positives, the rooms were lovely, the food was good. Some of the staff were friendly/helpful. We did our own decorations for welcome table/centerpieces and the staff did a good job in decorating the room and placing everything correctly. We tried to dispute the events that happened on our wedding day with the general manager but unfortunately the wedding coordinator/ staff were not being open, honest and transparent. The hotel did not take accountability for the issues that happened and they blamed us and our guests. We decided to take this further. We hope this helps others when considering booking your wedding here. If you do already have a wedding booked please take note of the events above and we hope you can put things in place beforehand to avoid this happening to your special day.

Very welcoming staff. The relaxation room and treatment rooms were light and airy but calming. Made full use of the pool and other facilities. Had a back massage and it was fantastic, left me feeling so relaxed. Afternoon tea at Bennetts was lovely, with plenty of food and coffee, they even boxed up the leftover treats to take home.

Here for a wedding. Although we didnt spend the night here the Staff very attentive throughout. Food was delicious and hot. It was lovely and clean with nice grounds so all in all very enjoyable experience.

Love hotel, afternoon tea is top notch 👌 fully recommended. Staff are friendly and helpful. Furniture is well looked after and beautiful views.

Bennets restaurant is amazing food at just over the price of a pub meal. Great staff and lovely surroundings. Somewhere to visit if you want something a little more special..

Spa day with my mother, amazing relaxation and incredible massages would definitely recommend the back massage! Afternoon tea was lovely.

India was exceptional from start of planning our party to finish(31/05/2024) nothing was too much to ask which was great. She went above and veyond to make our party a memorable one.

Fantastic venue and host for our wedding, could not have been more helpful throughout the wedding planning process when our original venue cancelled. Sean was fantastic host throughout and nothing was too much trouble. The room looked amazing and had a great sunny private outdoor area for our guests. Food was also amazing! We are so glad Wrightington was our wedding venue.

Friendly welcome into the spa! Siobhan was lovely and my pedicure was beautiful! She was so helpful choosing the colour, even though I was indecisive 😊 Surroundings were so relaxing and especially loved the comfy chair! I’ve found my happy place - thank you!

Lovely spacious room spotlessly clean, breakfast great choice available cannot comment on any other of the hotels amenities because I fell asleep on the comfortable king size bed.....

Found the whole experience very relaxing. The facial and head massage left me feeling refreshed and stress free.The staff were lovely. Looking forward to coming again in the not to distant future.

There's a vile carpet stench on the corridors, my asthma flared up and had to go to hospital for nebulising, had to check out over the phone as a result. Food was okayish, and breakfast was also decent, pity the lady that was at the restaurant wasn't the nicest (01.06.2024). She was definitely unapproachable and would need an upgrade on her interpersonal skills. I asked her for a takeaway container as I wasn't well enough to have breakfast thanks to the smelly carpets. She dismissed me without any eye contact. How nice is that after I paid £165 for a night at your hotel. Service in reception was a bit slow, there was one elderly lady who was working by herself, not fair on her, could do with some help tbh. Overall the place is ok, there was no water in the rooms, we'd booked more than five rooms as a group. I guess when you have been around, you expect services to be standard everywhere, which wasn't the case here.

Really enjoyed our stay. The room was nice and the staff were friendly. Limited space around pool for chairs and sun loungers for a relaxing pool weekend but other than that we really enjoyed our stay and we would come back.

Lovely relaxing massage treatment. I woke myself up snoring! The products used were beautiful so I ended up treating myself to some to take home to create that little spa moment.

We stayed on the steal away Sunday and then had treatments at the spa on the Monday. Everything was fantastic and especially the staff. The receptionist, the waiter/waitresses, the manager and the ladies in the spa (that are always lovely). A special mention the Sarah in Blazers who went above and beyond to make our afternoon enjoyable.

EVERYTHING about the hotel and its food service and especially the staff was FIVE STAR !

Referring to the gym. It’s tidy and got a decent range of equipment. Things do seem to take longer than expected to get fixed though such as machinery and the leak in the ceiling that’s been there a while now. It would also be great if they done a pass for a member to bring a friend along a couple of times a month free of charge what a lot of other gyms seem to have implemented.

For a getaway and reset Wrightington Spa and Country Club is perfect, very relaxing and worth a visit.

The treatment was really good. Just disappointed that they had only booked me in for one treatment when I'd actually booked two. Attention to detail would not go a miss. Thanks.

From start to finish we could not have been made more welcome. Lovely staff and surroundings made our experience beyond expectations. We went for fizz Friday for my Partners 70th birthday and he loved it too. I am back again in 4 weeks and can ot wait

The Hotel was welcoming, and had a very relaxed atmosphere. Food in the restaurant was exceptional. A good place to stop and recharge.

We had a wonderful spa day and could not have asked for more. The spa team are a true asset and could not have made our day any better. A big thank you to them all!

Only criticism is that we had to walk a distance to the restaurant for lunch. We are both disabled. The lunch itself was excellent!!

I booked the ultimate indulgence spa for myself and then added my friend on at a later date as it is her birthday today. The facilities were excellent as were the restaurant staff who served us afternoon tea. Debbie was very attwntive and friendly. The pool and jacuzzi weren't too busy. The changing rooms were well maintained and clean. 2 hairdryers weren't work so there was a queue. I was meant to be having the premier cru facial, asked for it at the time of booking and again when I booked my friend on, however I didn't get this. The facial I did have was really good and as we were both having a lovely day didn't want to spoil it. We were unable to have all our treatments on the same day due to staff illness. We are booked for our luxury pedicures on 18th May and are getting to use the facilities again for the inconvenience. This was a nice gesture. Brilliant day and I would recommend.

This has been the BEST massage I’ve had in ages! I’ve just recently had a massage done at Carden Park Spa and this was a million times better. Please pass on my thanks to the therapist, she was fab 🥰

February 25th 2024, we celebrated our amazing strong, resilient & fabulous mums 100th Birthday at Wrightington Country Club with an afternoon tea with Prosecco. It was an absolutely lovely day, making wonderful memories, surrounded by brothers, sisters, children, grand children, great grand children, great great grandchildren & close friends. The venue is in a beautiful setting. The booking process was seamless & the room was set out beautifully. The selection of sandwiches pastries & cakes for afternoon tea was sufficient & delightful. A very special thank-you to Sean Waring, Banqueting Senior Duty Manager at Wrightington Country club, whose attention to detail & personal attention to ensure all was exactly as we wanted was absolutely perfect. 10/10
