Great little find about 25 minutes away from Liverpool on the Wirral. Two Mersey rail stations, Bromborough & Bromborough Rake around ten minutes walk. Great location, free parking, clean tidy and spacious twin room with completely tea & Coffee as well as toiletries. Real nice restaurant and bar. Nice to have the old fashioned key to open the door too. Breakfast was superb. Friendly and helpful staff.

Had takeaway from here yesterday and it was delicious. Highly recommended

My friend and I went just for a coffee this morning (we weren't sure if they served just coffee)!!!! Adam looked after us and made us so welcome. A lovely .morning and we will certainly be back (probably for lunch next time). Thankyou Adam ♥️🌹

Afternoon tea at The Dibbinsdale never disappoints. Tasty sandwiches followed by a selection of delicious treats make for a delightful mix of savoury and sweet. All served with tea or coffee. What more could a girl want? The waiting staff seated us immediately and offered drinks before serving the tea. Staff were courteous and attentive.

Stayed 2 nights. Decent room, clean bathroom. Pleasant restaurant with tasty food.

Great service, pity the food didn't come out as soon as it was ready, instead of waiting for all other dishes, some where cold when they arrived.

Food was great, waiter was helpful and also good fun. But after the mains the wait for desserts was long and the wait for the bill too. Just spoilt what was a tasty meal.

We have eaten here many times. For breakfast, lunch and an evening meal ..... not all on the same day, I might add!! The food is always tasty and freshly cooked. Waiting times are minimal even when the restaurant is full. (I recommend booking). There are special prices for lunch and early evening meal deals. Three tapas of Italian work out about the same as burger and chips in many restaurants. Waiting on staff are cheerful. Fair selection of beer (incl draught) and wines at reasonable prices. Fill your boots. You won't leave feeling hungry. PS Today I had bruschetta, spaghetti Bolognese and Oregano potatoes total £12. Good portion sizes

Absolute awful experience tonight. Booked a table which was not ready for our arrival and then we were seated on food covered chairs. The service was extremely slow, even when all the tables around us had been cleared. Food took 40-50 minutes to be brought out & then when I ordered a brownie it still hadn't come 30 minutes later. There was a complete lack of 'check-ins' throughout and we had to call the waiter over when we were done as we had been waiting for over 20 minutes for any sort of communication/ dishes to be cleared. Because of the lack of 'check-ins' and waiting around we gave up on the brownie & had to ask for the bill at the bar. When I asked to speak to a manager he was completely unapologetic and I felt as though I wasn't taken seriously. Not sure if management has changed since last year when we visited as it was lovely then. We rarely eat out & honestly this was such a disappointment. If we knew we were going to be sat waiting all night we would have gone somewhere else, we had just left another restaurant as they had informed of us their wait on our arrival there.

Really well run. Pesto is a restaurant chain that does Italian Tapas, but this is also a good pub. Staff are great.

Why would your website say you close at 10 and when people turn up with their guests at 7 minutes past nine turn them away saying the kitchens shut embarrassing them infront of their business guests.

Excellent choice for breakfast among many options available. All good and plentiful. Tea and coffee service with kettle in the room and delicious English biscuits. Cleaning. Quiet location surrounded by greenery even if facing the road.

It was a busy and thriving restaurant with excellent service (Adam Penn) who was helpful, polite and charming. The food was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed the variety that was offered. The trio of puddings, which we chose to share, was delicious. We had a very enjoyable experience and will certainly use Pesto again and hopefully with a waiter as good as Adam. We hope that a Pesto will open our home county of Nottinghamshire soon.

Ordered food, got our starters, after that we were then informed that there were no potatoes for one of the main courses and had to order another dish. Whole meal delayed. Tables that arrived after us were then served before us. Quality of food was good Badly let down by lack of ingredients, never heard of a restaurant running out of potatoes. Won’t be rushing back !

We arrived to be told that there was no gas so was running on a reduced menu. We were seated and it took 10 mins for our server to get drinks. There was a party of 7 of us and tables that arrived after us were served quicker. The food though was lovely and couldn’t fault. I would like to try this place again when normal.

Booked a table in advance but when we turned up (10 mins late) our table was still occupied. The place was very busy but we went into the bar area and within about 10 minutes our table was ready. Lovely food at a great price. Very enjoyable 😉

Absolutely amazing! Our second visit within 1 month and we’ll definitely be returning! We came last night on the 20th August, the came out very quickly & very hot considering the amount of food we ordered between the 4 of us! My favourite was defiantly the fish cakes and the patate Campagna! Thankyou to the chefs for all their hard work and to the lovely waitress who looked after us all night! Definitely a birthday to remember :)

Amazing service and food, all credit to the chef for that one. We were spoiled for choice but the dishes we decided to get were great! We will definitely be returning and definitely be recommending to others.

We came last night as a group of four for a birthday celebration! It’s our second time visiting and it didn’t disappoint! We got 16 small plates between the 4 of us and a wide array of choices which I can imagine it to have been a massive pain for the chefs to deal with! We didn’t have to wait long at all for our food and it was honestly unbelievable food, thank you to the chefs on service last night for making our birthday celebrations one to remember. The bruchetta ricotta & the Gambreri Fritti were my two favourite and they were so delicious and cooked to perfection! Thank you also to our servers and waitresses, apologies for not getting names to say thank you personally but the service was wonderful and quick and efficient! Will definitely be back again for another occasion to celebrate as we have so many other options to try on the menu!

Great location down a quiet road. Pesto is very popular, there's a big choice of small plates food. The food was amazing for quality and quantity. Our waitress Kez was very friendly and helpful. Due to the popularity of the restaurant, the carpark filled up quickly, leaving parking on the road as the only option. Good choice of drinks and outside seating, ideal for the sunny weather. Our room, no.5, was at the top of some steep stairs. The room was quiet,clean, and tidy, and the shower over the bath worked well. There was just enough tea and coffee for an overnight stay. The bedside lights could be brighter, and the tv was small and a long way away. Only 2 small niggles, but we were still impressed and will return soon.

Lots of choice from a varied menu. Excellent value and pleasant staff. Great for family and especially the children. Exceptionally busy and probably would have benefitted from more staff, as they seemed under serious pressure. Despite this the staff continued to be patient and professional.

Stayed here overnight and had our even meal and breakfast here. My two daughters joined us for both meals and they was brilliant at accommodating one of my daughters who has additional needs. I can't praise them enough, especially to Jordan our server for both meals. The food was great, as was the selection of drinks. Will stay here in future when visiting this side of the country.

My daughter and I really enjoyed our stay here. The staff were so friendly and welcoming and we were in such beautiful surroundings. Really glad we found this little treasure and would definitely return 😊

It was a nice day so we sat outside & had a soft drink & a coffee. We arrived at lunchtime & initially it was pretty quiet but when we left an hour later there were plenty of diners. If it's that busy during the day midweek the food must be amazing! Lovely place 🙂 large car park.

After a shopping trip to Liverpool stopped in for lunch on our way home, sat outside in the sunshine with a pint on hobgoblin and some loverly food, what more can you ask

We have been coming here for year's but maybe our last visit. Service poor, lots of people doing not alot and some working very hard. We sat for 20 minutes waiting to order drinks, food was OK but some on menu not available. Manager seems unaware of what is going on, sitting in a corner with a glass of wine. Paid in cash, no change given? Would have left a tip but obviously they decided to keep the change. Such a shame loved this place, but standards have slipped so much

The best hotel in port sunlight I went to 2 different hotels but I have never seen a quieter hotel than pesto. Clean, quiet, good food, very helpful and excellent staff. In the room they leave you: natural water, tea and very good biscuits ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Great food offer and service was very good. Rooms need to be updated as pretty basic facilities. Breakfast was varied and very good, freshly cooked to order.

Had a great time here for our sons birthday meal. Never been before and would definitely come again. The small dishes were great to please both those with larger appetites that could order more and those with smaller appetites also. The décor inside the restaurant was very 'moody' as my wife says. Fine dining meets country pub. The food itself was very tasty. I had the ribs and the potatoes with cheese. Everyone else was pleased with their meals. The carpark we struggled to park so if your a large party I would recommend car sharing there. The staff were very attentive and supportive of a relative with additional needs. Quick service and hot on drinks being refilled. Overall very impressed.

Would recommend for relaxing family meal

I've only been here a couple of times but on those occasions our waitress has been Helen. She was so lovely the first time, it was nice to see her and have her as our server the next time. She is always available for advice, a chat and nothing is too much trouble for her to find out or accommodate for. It's not often you get someone who has a lovely rapport with the customers. I guess I should mention the food is nice too with plenty to choose from. You'll be hard pushed to find something you don't like.

First time ever service has been poor. My friend and I were given a table in a corner by the window sharing a banquette with 2 other ladies. The third lady had a young noisy baby. It was also extremely hot. When we asked if we could move into the larger room we were told No even though there was room. I think the other ladies were also uncomfortable with us being so close. I ordered an apple and elderflower nojito only for the waitress to come back and say there was no apple juice would I like strawberry and elderflower. I said no I would have the pink lemonade. Not having had that before I didnt know what to expect but on reflection I think it was strawberry. It was very nice but not what I ordered. My friend ordered calimari and got prawns. Again very nice but we got the impression the waitress wasn't listening and we got what she decided we should have. As usual the food was very nice but come back Luke Palumbo and sort out the staff.

Helen was a delight, her customer service was unbelievable hats off to her. The food was unreal too. Will visit again soon.

Lovely Italian tapas. Great selection and all very tasty. Lots of Italian lagers but not many cask beers. Would definitely recommend coming there. Had a lovely meal. Came with my family for some birthday celebrations.

Never had a bad meal here. Service is wonderful..the team are so welcoming. There are lots of small dishes to choose from which means it's great if you like a tapas style lunch / dinner.

I can only comment on the restaurant as we’re local, so didn’t stay at the hotel. The food is always lovely and staff is always welcoming and friendly. We love this place.

10 friends for tea but had to order everything at once, so 30 dishes came as we ordered 3 each, but soon the food was cooling down, but I don’t understand why it needs to come out altogether because if by chance we had ordered 4 dishes each there would have been no room for it and would be stone cold to eat I have been to other tapas/small plate restaurants and never did it all come out at once

In all honesty the choice of food that I selected from the £13.50 menu was probably the best food that I have eaten out in many years and definitely will return again . This occasion was for my wife birthday

I would like to thank everyone at the dibbinsdale for making our stay so pleasant at a time when it was much needed. Had a very stressful day yesterday 15th feb so when we got back to hotel room, I was greeted with birthday banners,viennese creams surrounding a birthday cake, 2xpepsi and a card, it gave me such a lift I can't thank them enough. Special mention to Helen who did the presentation for me seems this lady is always busy, so a special thanks to her. So im wishing you all good health and the very best for the future.

This was the first time we had visited Pesto and it was lovely. Not what we expected for a lunch midway through a walk but it really delivered, the 3 small plate deal was perfect. And Helen, our server, was so friendly, we will definitely return and definitely recommend.

Called in for lunch on the way past, they have an affordable set menu and full menu to choose from. The service was good and food was tasty and plentiful, 3 dishes each was more than enough.

Nice experience. Food was excellent would recommend 6 tapa dishes to fill you up .

Great menu with plenty of choice

An amazing place. It's over eight years since I attended, but will never forget how lovely and clean and efficient it was, with a marvellous restaurant, but more than that, the extra special care the manager and staff gave me, while going through the most difficult emotionally and health-challenging time of my life. I was looking at reviews and it is still receiving top ratings. So pleased for them. God willing I intend to go back for a relaxing stay, by next spring. Well done, guys!

Pesto is our little regular go-to for guaranteed tasty tapas, served with a smile in a cosy setting and always on time. Their prices are very reasonable too.

Loved our visit here, the food is amazing, the rooms are lovely and very comfortable the staff are really nice too & breakfast was the best.. can't wait to return, hopefully we will getctge same server his name is josh & he was so personable & professional a reallt well put together young man who clearly loves his job and is amazing with the customers, wouldn't stay anywhere else now we have found this little gem.. I would recommend all day long.

Awful experience will never go there again. We asked for them to ring us a taxi and they refused said it was managers discretion. We are in our early 70s not rude or abusive normally walk but was very tired. This has happened before afterwards I was told that they will always ring taxis but clearly inconsistent. I would have thought that no restaurant would alienate their customers in these challenging times. We normally eat there about 25 times a year but not again.
