Excellent pizza. Tasty dough that was cooked to perfection. Great authentic flavour. Recommended.

Came here last night for my fiancés birthday and I must say what a hidden gem! The food was incredible and my fiance commented on how it was the best Italian he had been to in a while! Reasonably priced too and we definitely will be returning thank you!

First time we have visited this restaurant, It was a Saturday night and very quiet. Service was good, pasta was amazing and drinks very good. Will definitely be back

We had booked an early evening table at La Luce del Sole for a party of four on a Friday evening. We were assigned a table on the ground floor close to the bar area by the friendly member of staff. We ordered one pizza with assorted toppings: chicken,meatballs,mushrooms, sweetcorn, rocket and pineapple. One pasta with prawns and then a selection of tapas including: meatballs, sea bass, small salad, garlic prawns, Ranzini and plain potato chunks. All the food was excellent - one of the best pizzas I have ever had. Together with a bottle of wine and a beer, the bill came to £97. So just under £25 per person which was excellent value for money. Worth a visit if you are visiting Bebington Village area. Across the road is a cracking local pub too, The Rose & Crown.

Thought we'd give this place a go 😐. I love Garlic bread always my starter ( terrible) I get it coz I love GARLIC couldn't smell or taste it. Then got Pizza between us. Well over cooked crusty hard not nice. So we just got more cocktails as they were great. Wine was nice too. Think I'll just stick to lovely Italian next door. Pricey but never been disappointed. Staff were really nice at duca but food not good. Tables tiny. Just enjoyed it as came out quite merry. 😀 Sorry guys.

Ordered starters and main, everything turned up together, waiter apologised it was his fault but left everything on the table. Granddaughter ordered garlic bread(starters) and pizza they where swimming greasy( olive oil). First time their not every going back.Awful

Went here after hearing good things, but left disappointed. Atmosphere - honestly if it was just a bit darker, with music a bit louder it would have been passable. Reminded me of a school canteen? Service - only 8 people in the restaurant but first lot of drinks took five minutes to come as the guy just stood behind the bar for a bit? Asked for a second drink which didn’t come until I asked him if he had forgot about it, which he had. Apologised and got it straight away. Food - we got a cheesy garlic bread, Pizza and Spicy Arrabiata with meatballs. Cheesy garlic bread was okay, a bit oily and some bits slightly charred, but a promising start. Mains came and the pizza base was burnt (not charred), to the point where it wasn’t enjoyable. The whole thing was a bit of an oily/tomatoey mess tbh. Spicy arrabiata with meatballs was very bland, to the point where my fiancé thought it must have been the tomato and basic sauce instead as no spice at all. Unfortunately, we won’t be back.

Excellent service, great food. Had a lovely carbonara and garlic bread with cheese was really tasty. Cocktails were excellent. We had 8 between 2 of us.

Writing this on behalf of my brother who doesn’t use social media but wanted to give some feedback . He went to La LUCE DEL SOLE for dinner last night and said it was absolutely fantastic. He said it was the best carbonara he’s ever eaten (and he’s trained as an Italian chef). His partner equally loved her arrabbiata and they both loved the cheesy garlic bread and high quality cocktails. Just wanted to give a shout out to this gem of a local restaurant that might sometimes get overlooked!

Called here before a night out, garlic bread was burnt, couldn’t taste any garlic, the base was not what I would call Italian pizza base, it was bland and too thick. . Pizza was tasteless , very oily, same again, base was awful, no garlic on site. Didn’t even smell like an Italian restaurant. The wine was really nice!

The overall standard of the food which we ordered was excellent very well cooked and served. Very good choice on the tapas menu we all chose the 3 for £12 and it was exceptional value. We will definitely be returning. Keep up the good work. 👍

Really lovely spot in Bebington with great Italian tapas options - we tried 7(!) small plates, all were really good, could have easily been full with 5 or 6. All at a good price, about £5 each. We'd recommend the chicken skewers and meatballs. Ended up having dessert too, and their limoncello special which was gorgeous 😍 the cheesecake was ok but the pistachio sauce made it good. They have great offers on throughout the week too, so all the more reason to go back.

The food here is always good, the staff are very friendly and attentive, we come her regularly and we always have a great evening, never been disappointed.

This was the worst place I've ever been to the food was terrible the chicken only just cooked with a bowl of roast potatoes cut up into small pieces.the tables uneven and shaken and the staff was over the top asking all the time how was my meal as if she knew it was awfull never again I felt like asking for a refund

Wow wow wow. What an amazing little place. Some of the best food I've had in ages. Better anancini than in Italy! The prices are incredibly reasonable. Great friendly staff, great lighting and atmosphere. Can't wait for you to open in Wallasey!!!!!

We should have tried this place sooner. The food was amazing and really fresh. We opted for a couple of Tapas to start, large portions and really tasty. For mains we had pizza and the carbonara. Blown away by the pasta, very generous portion and really nice. The pizza was very fresh and so nice we revisited the following week for takeout pizzas! The decor and atmosphere was OK, a little weird having a TV on and it's a shame the place wasn't more busy as the food and service was great. They do cocktails and there are various offers on food and drink. Great place and worth a try for the food.

Can’t judge on the food because I didn’t eat there but the atmosphere was nice and the service was great, I went in the evening and the area was quiet and very relaxed and had a nice feel to it, perfect for a date or a catch up with friends and family 👌🏽 food will surely meet the same respects 👏🏽

Staff are really friendly and efficient and there's a nice atmosphere in the restaurant. Food is good, just a little under seasoned, which is a shame. We ordered ribs, ok, garlic mushrooms, excellent, gnocchi, good and cheesy garlic bread, ok. The draft beer was excellent and the cocktails are good.

The portion size for the price crazy. Everything was so bland. We were excited to try a new place to order from but was so disappointed. Barely any meat on your meals for £11-13 per main yet you get a pinch of unseasoned meat.

Absolutely amazing evening, the staff were awesome and the food was outstanding and perfectly priced. We had my daughters birthday meal (18 of us). Nothing was to much and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. I highly recommend to anyone

What a nice little restaurant and I love the decor everywhere but with the godfather theme the zebra should've been a horses head lol. My mains were excellent and my mate loved his pizza. I've marked it down for two reasons firstly I really don't like it when Italian restaurants use pizza bases for garlic bread... It doesn't work and it's too doughy and much prefer it when it comes out on ciabatta bread and secondly the waitress was really not very interested, spent most of her time on a laptop behind the bar, never checked if our food was alright and basically was just an order taker! Maybe better service on busier nights, who knows 🤷🏻‍♂️

A totally disappointing experience with around a 40 minute wait for food. My pizza was burnt around the crust and all the other food was poor in various ways. The vegetable lasagne was dry and tough and also only enough for a child. The waitress tried her best but this place needs to improve fast!

Friendly enough greeting, really poor bathroom facilities eg wrong fitting toilet seat, wobbly tap that had no water! Had drinks which were served quite quickly, waited about 20 minutes for garlic bread. An hour later still had no meal, although only 8 of us in the restaurant. Lady kept telling us it would be here soon but it never arrived. We left without dinner. I do not recommend this place and will definitely not return.

No cutlery with the meal, when I asked for it, three knives and forks were just placed noisily on the edge of the table. Not asked if we wanted pepper, no follow up. Food very basic and quite tasteless. It was like being in a cafe

I had a fantastic experience at LA LUCE DEL SOLE. The small tapas dishes were delicious, with a variety of flavors and textures that kept my taste buds entertained. The cocktails were also a highlight, expertly crafted and perfectly balanced. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, and the manager Kay was an exceptional host, going above and beyond to make sure that all the customers were well taken care of. Not only did she ensure that everything was running smoothly, but she also took the time to sort out parking and taxis for us, which made our evening even more enjoyable. Overall, I highly recommend LA LUCE DEL SOLE for anyone looking for great food, drinks, and a great time, and give credit to the manager Kay who made it all happen.

Great tapas and lovely attentive service by Kay. Even the small dishes were quite substantial, especially the ribs. The gnocci was particularly tasty. Looking forward to our next visit.

This restaurant is a must if you are in the Wirral. The food was a lovely selection as well as it also being absolutely divine. I had the mushrooms, pork loins and the piccolo ribs. I had a tapas selection but they do larger meals and pastas as well. Our server (Kay) was absolutely fantastic, she was friendly and a small child accidentally got jelly beads on the floor and she really reacted well and reassured us. Kay was friendly and delightful and was asking us about our meal and made some jokes. This place is also absolutely amazing with food intolerances, gluten free, vegan, vegetarian and just allergies in general. My sister is gluten free and really enjoyed her meal. I also have a crustacean allergy and they were so understanding when my sister ordered prawns. They also accommodated my nan’s request for very well done steak and even altered my sister’s request to remove the chilli from the prawn dish. Will definitely be coming again, absolutely gorgeous food + service!

I love the food! Absolutely delicious! The staff was alright. Calamari was salty 7/10 but edible. All of the food we ordered, we gave a potato chunks and a mussel in white cream sauce a 10/10. Too bad that the table was so small for the food we’ve ordered. We will deffo go back for another tapas and dishes for sure!

The lady who delivered our food was very friendly. Thank you very much. The food was nice, tasty and warm. Yummy. The tiramisu was delicious. But the mushrooms were a bit overcooked/burnt.

Such a bad experience, perhaps the worst I have ever had in a restaurant. The waitress explained at the outset that they were having teething problems after reopening, we found out she was not kidding. The chairs and table are uncomfortable and small, the seating was difficult due to the shape of the room. The decor was like a greasy spoon cafe. The table was uncovered wood which turned out to be too small for the plates of food we ordered. Three of the 4 meals we ordered were not available, so we had to choose again. We had two cocktails which tasted like milkshakes, I could probably have drank a dozen and still been under the limit to drive. The garlic bread was a burnt cardboard disk, the calamari was just a salt fest, inedible. The waitress agreed with us and after prodding it asked if we wanted another. After a bad start things got worse. My meal, although it did not actually match the description on the menu, turned out to be the best of the 4 orders - I would give it a solid 6/10. It was basically chicken Kiev in a tasteless yellow liquid, you won't find that on the menu but for those of you who ignore my review and go I challenge you to to see who has the more accurate description. The seafood linguine was far too hot with chilli. That too was not as the menu stated because some of the ingredients were unavailable. My wife ate about 1/3. The ribbs made my friend physically sick, we told the young lady serving us but she seemed unmoved. This was now more like 'I'm a celebrity ' with no winners and the contestants beging to be removed. We had to get our own cutlery, and the customer behind us had a full glass of white wine spilt on him. Mercifully the night ended and we went elsewhere. I hate giving a restaurant 1 but I hope that they take into account our experience and improve, these were far more than teething problems, there needs to be more thought into the decor, food and service.

So disappointed with this place considering the reviews that had been left. Took my wife here as we haven't been out for several years without the kids. Seats are really uncomfortable, table rocks should you lean on it. Food was really poor and garlic bread was the worst I've had for years. Certainly not the standard expected from an Italian restaurant. We were that underwhelmed that we didn't even order a dessert. Price of what we received was very expensive and not comparable with the quality served. Also, noticed a £7 charge for Misc?? Only asked for salt in addition to meals

Outstanding roast dinner with a beautiful tasty twist Italian herbed chicken cooked to perfection, lemon and thyme roast potato’s carrots peas with pancetta and cream broccoli and the best gravy ever! I was wondering how this would travel home, would my potato’s be soggy would the skin of the chicken still be crispy ..... I need not have worried it was a triumph. No cooking no prep no mess RESULT. Thank you see you next week sundays have taken on a whole new meaning. And I managed to get a pic before I ate it all

It was our anniversary and we normally have a weekend away and always book an Italian restaurant but this was not possible due to lockdown. We decided to try La Luce Del Sole as they offered a delivery service and boy are we glad we did. The garlic bread with cheese was tasty, thin enough with the right amount of garlic and cheese. The Carbonara was like a party in my mouth, full of flavour, the chicken was so tender and the smokiest pancetta. The Limoncello tart with cream and the tiramisu were the perfect way to close a delightful meal. I have had plenty of Italian meals. over the years and I must say this was up there. If you haven't tried here before I can't recommend it enough. Thank you for rounding off our anniversary on such a high note.

Thanks so much to the brilliant Aaron, and the equally brilliant chef, for a great and memorable afternoon. We arrived at 1230 with a rough idea to stay for about two hours or so. Err. No. We left at 6pm! Superb small plates and great drinks, coupled with outstanding service and friendly conversation kept us happy all day. The food in La Luce Del Sole is flawless, with great flavours and super fresh ingredients. Their menu has had a recent revamp and they have achieved the impossible, actually improving it! All in all, one of our very favourite places to eat and drink. A real local gem and it's amazing to have such a great place available without having to travel into a city. We'll be back soon to try the other half of the menu! J & D.

I can’t believe that living in Bebington I haven’t been here before. The food was fantastic, the cocktails were great. On possibly the busiest night, Aaron from the restaurant offered us excellent service and myself and party had the best night ever. I really recommend going here. We will definitely be going again

Love coming here with friends and my boyfriend. It’s very Covid friendly, the staff all wear PPE. The food is delicious and very affordable. The staff are lovely. Can’t recommend this enough.

We did the pizza and Prosecco deal. Excellent value and plenty to eat. I don’t know if we were slightly thirsty for Prosecco but possibly could have done with the top ups more regular?? Pizza was lovely and would recommend for the price.

Been here several times not a question about the food Great. Other says awful staff, far from the fact. Brilliant service food good. Will I come here again yes no doubts.

We have been here lots of times pre lockdown and would have been our go to place. Unfortunately last nights meal was poor. I understand they had a deal on but we ordered a selection of deal and Al la Carte. I ordered Aperol spritz as normal but the drinks were flat. I sent the first one back but the second one not much better. One of the dishes which was full price was Hummus with artisan bread. The hummus was as usual but I got one slice of toasted bread. All dishes much smaller than before. The service was good but unfortunately the food needs much improvement for us to return.

Food is full of flavour, the staff are very accommodating and the whole experience was very pleasant.We ordered 7 dishes and all were full of flavour. The staff couldn't do enough to please.Felt very safe as social distancing is taken very seriously.Will be back soon

Firstly I am in the top 1% of trip adviser reviewers and have 402 reviews over time from a variety of restaurants I have visited. I will never leave negative feedback unless I have not felt satisfied my issue has been acknowledged/resolved. Dined at La Luce since it opened, left wonderful reviews as the food is faultless!. Beautiful freshly prepared and new Chef Stuart did a fantastic job with our meal!.. he did a split garlic bread/tomato bread starter, made my partner Zucchini fries too. Maria our waitress lovely and so helpful but that where it ends! Asked for 4 expresso martinis which we asked had server made before as seemed new and little apprehensive. She said she could but they were absolutely awful. They tasted watery and as if made with the cheapest instant coffee. Told server we did not like them, never drank them and asked to be taken off bill (£20). Out of nowhere a lady appeared pointing her finger at laminated cocktail recipe!.. no name given, no introduction or asking what our issue was? Launched into thats how they make drink and previous staff must have over-poured measurements!! Could not believe the rudeness and absolute attitude of this lady!.. gets better, another lady who is co-owner walks in and says they will take it away to taste!!!The four of us dining were flabbergasted and stated they would lose our custom, we were so amazed challenging them having to argue the toss - by this time voices were raised and other new diners were witness to this debacle!. To be clear our friends have booked the whole of the bottom floor for Christmas Day, their 60th bday and to celebrate their grandchildren’s christenings. Loyalty obviously counted for nothing. They finally backtracked and said they would refund £20 but we were absolutely disgusted, what happened to the customer is right!! Imagine the chef coming to your table and tasting your steak and saying it is cooked correct and stupid you for not liking it! just unbelievable. Saw male co-owner outside who said he would speak to staff and contact me. He showed a very nonchalant attitude and didn’t seem to want to resolve issue there and then.Got email off his manager again re/iterating cocktails made same since opened and sorry we didn’t like them!.. obviously our fault four of us found them foul!. Offered £20 / point missed. We never wanted free drink, free pud, free voucher - what we expected was a professional customer service experience, acknowledge we didn’t like drinks and would have expected them to offer to not bill them as all undrunk!.Food bill £48 - wine bill £73! No brainer, not chasing free anything.Wont return, la luce need to look at high spec places like San Carlo, Bar & Grill and try making a drink that tastes like a real cocktail!.. What a shame having to write this over £20 of drinks, La Luce have lost out on four loyal customers.

I have walked past the tapas restaurant so many times. With recent events, and being careful my wife and I booked. I was apprehensive as the meals come out when done. We ordered bread with oils, then it was not long before the rest of the meals came out. From the calamari to Carbonara meatballs to ribs, each mouthful was a pure delight to savour. If eat big and can eat the Tapas dishes we had I was more than satisfied. Tastes were more than expected and I will be going back.

Disappointed with the afternoon tea at £10,95 each. Some sandwiches were a litter hard on outside. Jam for scones was awful and eventually changed but only had 2 scones left. We weren't made aware the the food was made next door and brought through, had we known we would have booked to sit in next Door with h windows to see through and no stairs to climb. The young man serving was lovely don't think we'll book here again

Don't go if you want a restaurant atmosphere, this is a pub with tables and the staff treat it that way. Couldn't hear ourselves talk with the barmaid waitress shouting off, she obviously treats it that way and feels it's ok, and that's fine, just don't sell the place as a restaurant. Food was pretty bland, tapas was mostly shop bought not made fresh. If you just want to go and drink and have a nibble in a pub go, but don't go for the food or relaxing pleasent atmosphere because you will be disappointed.

We were staying with friends at The Village hotel & found this restaurant on line & decided the place & menu looked good. We had an excellent meal, all dishes cooked fresh. Lovely tapas style food, great to try the various dishes. Service was very good. Lovely atmosphere, a very pleasant restaurant

Great value for money. Staff more than generous refilling glasses with Prosecco and eat ans much as you can pizza (any you can't eat is boxed up to take home)

Ate here on Sunday when taking them up on their half price food offer.Myself and my wife arrived, we ordered drinks, juice and a p[int of Peroni and perused the menu and checked the offer, yes it's half price food WOW.As it is small plates Italian, we decided on 2 each and share a pizza, we thought that should be enough, well it was more than enough.We ordered garlic mushroom, ribs, lasagne and the pollo milanese, a pepperoni pizza was also ordered.All the food arrived, piping hot and there was a lot, the garlic mushrooms looked fab and were very tasty, the ribs likewise, the lasagne was the best I've ever tasted, the pollo was chicken and very well cooked (not dry) and the pizza was yummy as well.All dishes were very tasty and we actually managed to finish it (somehow).Service was good, efficient and chatty.Would we go again - YES 100% yes and we will, especially whilst the offer is on.GO you will love it.

The food was lovely and the service excellent! The waitress guided us on the portion sizes and spoke to my children about what they might like. My teenage daughter was well impressed and will definitely be back there soon with her friends, we all will!
