Pescado Tapas, Glasgow in Glasgow City

Sorry but this is not Spanish tapas. We were served “patatas bravas” which were basically Aunt Bessie’s roasters with a dip on the side. Gambas Pil Pil consisted of three prawns, staff didn’t really engage and didn’t seem to understand the menu. On top of that we were charged £8 for some bread on oil. Wouldn’t recommend

Good Value & Choice of Tapas. Maybe lacking bit of atmosphere as restaurant was very quiet on Sunday night at 6.

We went for the tuesday tapas deal they advertise on their website, but they apparently don' t do that anymore as they offered us a 3 tapas deal for 15 instead. The food was mostly very good, especially the seafood dishes. The oysters were outstanding. The monkfish was pretty good, too. The patatas bravas was a little disappointing based on the times we've ordered the dish in spain, but our kids loved it. Overall, we enjoyed our food and we would recommend it.

We made a reservation online and showed up at night. Waiter was incredibly rude, insisting that he didn't have the reservation despite a confirmation email. After finally seating us, he remained extremely rude, refused to show us the wine menu and eventually we decided to leave. It's a real shame, we were quite looking forward to dinner.

Incredible tapas, best in Glasgow. Fish was flavourful and tender. Fantastic value for money.

Great little place. Food is good, service is friendly and tonight it was a £3 tapas deal so it was outstanding value.

I was so disappointed in the food and the service today. Sunday 2nd February. I had recommended going to Pescado today. I was so disappointed with the service and the food. Seemingly it is under new management. I can assure you I will never go back. I have never walked out of a restaurant in my life. It is not a nice experience. I'm so sorry that I have to write this review. I need to be honest.

Don't expect dinner to be on the table in minutes, this amount of expertise takes time. Even our fussy eater loved the chips and fluffy chicken strips. I had the goats cheese, cod and scallops with black pudding. Each comes presented like a masterpiece with attention to detail. Tastebuds were dancing a cha cha. Never left enough space for dessert. Advise you to book in advance to avoid disappointment.. Be patient, if you want fast food go to McDs.

Very good neighbourhood style restaurant, tapas more than acceptable. Often good value at non peak times. Worth checking out

We went here on Saturday - really lovely food and sweet service! We particularly enjoyed the paella with chorizo, salt cod with pea puree, and fried aubergines with honey. And the seafood stew. And the monkfish. All of it basically!

really excellent service, super friendly! food speaks for itself, the chicken is fantastic and there’s plenty of great options to try something new. the deals on for tapas are brilliant, definitely recommend going with friends but very nice to sit and eat alone as well x

Delicious tapas and drinks. Excellent service. Tuesday is a good day to go as tapas is only £3 each. Total bargain and well worth a visit. Accessibility good in the restaurant, however toilets are downstairs.

Arrived for our reservation at 7pm, and sat there until 7:35pm without even getting our drinks order taken, and got up and left. Don’t want to blame the staff because they clearly haven’t been trained. Really disappointing as it looked like a nice place. Other people in the restaurant were also fed up with the poor service/non existent service. Would give it a miss if you tend to go to restaurants to eat food.

Was really looking forward to trying this place as the menu looked great. Ignored the red flags of being sat at a dirty table and the waiter looking lost when we arrived for our booking as well as other tables looking about impatiently for their food. Despite being only 1 or about 6 tables when we arrived, we ended up leaving after waiting 30 minutes for someone to take our order (something we have never done before). No one even came to take a drinks order within that time. 3 tables seated after us had their order taken by a very stressed looking a boy and all staff struggled to somehow put orders through on the till. A severe lack of training was very clear amongst all staff. Extremely disappointing.

Excellent food but a little bit pricier than it should. I would recommended 100% and the waiter was amazing (the French one)!

My partner and I visited Pescados last night and we really enjoyed the food. The seafood is delicious, fresh and well prepared. Unfortunately, the restaurant seemed to be suffering some serious management issues in terms of staff. Our waiter seemed absolutely rushed off his feet, manically running around and trying to meet orders. We twice asked for a dessert that never came and in the end we just got the bill and left. I don't think it's the fault of the waiting staff, it seemed more poor decision making from higher up, perhaps not having enough people working on a Friday night. Either way it was a shame because the food is very nice.

Having not been for awhile I believe the restaurant has a new owner who I think owns Tinto as well. Shame..food not exactly hot and quite bland and not half as good as our last visit. Can honestly say that Malaga in Pollokshields is far superior than most of its competitors around Glasgow. .

Just watch your bill for added extra's....... We had the 3 oysters and prosecco deal for £10 and take away paella over for £5 amazing offers

Far and away the best seafood I've had in Glasgow over almost two years. The lobster was spectacular, the prawns were delicious, and the cod was better than in any chippy. Everything was fresh and beautiful and amazing, and our server Jazz was terrific and attentive. Highly recommended. Great food and reasonable prices.

Nice relaxed lunch ,food delicious can't understand why this place was so quiet (only 3 tables filled when we were there)it's a wee gem. The monkfish cheeks with chorizo was my favourite along with the baked goats cheese, waiter attentive without being intrusive,would definitely go back.

I dined here with my aunts and my two dogs recently on a Saturday afternoon, we had a late lunch. My aunts have been travelling to Spain since they were children and visit frequently, enjoying the real Spain experience as much as possible. We choose from the 3 Tapas deal menu, the selectionis quite varied and there are plenty to choose from. The portions are fairly generous and we thoroughly enjoyed each dish. We had patata bravas, monk fish cheeks with chorizo, gambas pil pil, gamberdini, amongst others. My aunts thought it was better than other tapas restuarants they ahve tried in Glasgow. We had a nice booth at the back, which was great for the dogs to get under the table. The service was prompt and polite.

Great food great selection , friendly helpful staff, prices very good . For seafood lovers and not so much a great wee menu , beautiful wines and sherry. I can’t understand bad reviewers everyone from the chef throughout the table staff are trying so hard. Yes the lavatory needs an improvement in tidiness and presentation but that’s worth a minor irritation for super food .We were two couples and my wife and I have been three times in June already and we love it

Staff were nice, but the food was disappointing, especially due to the fact there are plenty 5 star reviews. The olives were store bought pitted olives and they were stale, the Octopus was absolutely covered in paprika to the point it was as if the lid of the paprika fell off and the chef just went with it. No fresh bread(which was to be expected to be fair), patatas bravas were cooked well but came with a tiny little sauce condiment and was only half filled with shop bought sauce. Worst part about the restaurant was the sangria, was like water, need to send the staff on a little trip to Spain and find out what sangria is really about, till then just don’t order it.

I had a light breakfast anticipating a fancy lunch at a place on the west end I couldn’t get a dinner reservation at that cancelled on me claiming “police activity in the area” so I ended up wandering around the west and down to the area around Univ of Glasgow and I stumbled on this well reviewed and rated fish centric Spanish tapas place called Pescado tapas. They had a great deal of 3 tapas off their special menu for only $15.95 and there were plenty of sea food options, so I grabbed a solo table and ordered a nice glass of white Rioja, and three tapas - the salt cod (bacala) in a nice broth with what seemed like mashed peas and some flavorful smoked ham flavoring the broth, the small pot of steamed mussels in a creamy broth (delicious enough to eat like a soup) and the monkfish cheeks in a hardy red sauce with chorizo and a nice chunky tomato sauce. I’m usually disappointed by small and costly portions at Tapas places near me in the Bay Area but these three filled me up and I ended up not needing to order anything else. Great tasty meal and if I lived in the area this would be a go to regularly spot. They run this deal (3 tapas for $15.95) until 6:30 PM 7 days a week - NICE ! Only suggestion - pour tap water for the tables. I know you want to sell drinks but tap water should be a regular offering and also put soup spoons on the tables. The broths and sauces are needing spoons ! Otherwise GREAT and HIGHLY recommended place for tapas centric seafood at a fair price !!

Probably one of the best tapas I’ve ever had. The mussels and beef strips were to die for. The monkfish with chorizo was also excellent. The only issue was I shared with my wife who didn’t share fairly.

Honestly just okay, the staff are lovely but the food is so so. Chewy calamari and not much flavour to the other dishes, maybe just let down due to a busy valentines shift but would probably not go back.

We found this restaurant by chance while walking around Patrick. What a surprise. Fresh tasty tapas at a very reasonable price, well presented and great service. We’ll definitely be back.

A delicious lunch: all the plates we tried were excellent, especially the salt cod; the monkfish and the fried aubergine. Nice Spanish wines by the glass. On a Tuesday lunchtime in February one wouldn't expect much atmosphere but I was surprised there were no other customers. However the waiter was really friendly. Lunch deal is excellent value and portions are neither too big nor too small. I think they'll want to renovate the toilets before long... Otherwise all great: will definitely be back.

Eaten here a number of times. Fish always fresh and well cooked. Service friendly and helpful. Becoming a Glasgow favourite for me.

First time here. Nice and cozy inside with welcoming staff. Specialises in seafood tapas. Ordered from theTapas £15.95 for 3 plates. Good generois portions and food was delicious; aubergine & honey, lovely garlicky prawns (lots of garlic, as I like it) and patatas bravas. Friend had chicken wings, prawns and beef. We struggled to finish it all. It's one of those places where you think, what a great wee find, 'll definetly be back!

Avoid avoid - I’m amazed at the five star reviews. There is nothing Spanish about this joint - Turkish. The waiter did not speak English- half the food was very cold and the chicken wings weren’t wings. The chips were reheated. Portions were smallish the ingredients were good quality. I left my scarf -phoned and they said it was there- when I turned up to get it ( all the way from Hamilton) they said they did not have it 😡

Best of several Tapas restaurants I've tried in Glasgow and many much further away too. Mixture of old favourites and imaginative tapas, all delicious ! Nice restaurant with polite, professional staff.

This is an absolute gem of a restaurant, the food is outstanding and great value for money which is very rare for West end restaurants! The tapas are authentic and consistently good and the service is also very good.

Seafood was lovely! Came here for dinner with friends, nice staff, and atmosphere. It was nice to share the tapas. I'd only say some dishes were more generous than others for similar prices just so you are aware.

Booked for a last minute Saturday evening meal. Delicious, fresh seafood & gorgeous wine. Service was very diligent. Would definitely recommend. Understandably had to wait a while for the paella as it’s cooked fresh, but it was absolutely worth it. Other great dishes included the fried aubergine with Spanish honey and the monkfish and Serrano ham special. Thank you so much!

We booked this place for a family meal for my dads birthday. Couldn’t rate the place any higher. My dad has mobility issues and the place was very accommodating. The food was delicious, amazing sangria and cocktails and the staff were unreal. They even surprised my dad with cheese cake at the end singing happy birthday. 11/10

My daughter and I dined at Pescado last night and it was utterly amazing! Can’t believe we haven’t visited before and will definitely be returning. The menu selection was mouth watering. Between the salted cod, seafood wrap, monkfish cheeks and mussels etc with a paired house white Pino Grigio we felt we were on holiday despite it being 23/12! Absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced. The restaurant itself is quaint and quirky - a lovely, relaxed, happy space. The manager/ owner Sergio (sorry if I’ve spelt it wrong!) was so lovely and welcoming too! Thank you for an extra special dining experience and hope you have a very Merry Christmas!

Majoring on fish menu,all Tapas no mains.Has seperate Sherry menu, half bottles of Fino & Manzanilla,plus bottles of Amontillado, Oloroso &Pedro Ximenes; making it a real deal Tapas bar,Caramba! Good selection of Tapas. Now lose boom boom music& all will be good!!!Ask for a Copita glass,proper Sherry glass.Saw Merluzza,Hake whole fish in Morrisons,used to be on menu in past.Put back,I like said.Its no use emptying a full bottle of Fino,when I asked for a half bottle,which they used to have;it wouldn't be as fresh.Get more half bottles,"Its the season to be Sherry ",boom boom!

Very tasty and good variety of dishes. Coffee was also excellent. Decent amount of on street parking also which was a bonus. I would highly reccomend.

Bland food, no seasoning and overpriced. Seated next to the waitress who was drying (and dropping) cutlery. Waiter didn't seem interested in helping us and very inattentive. Seafood was disappointing. Have been before and loved it, wouldn't go back after our latest experience.

The food was absolutely amazing. Its a Shame I don't live in Glasgow because I would be a frequent customer. The service was fantastic. My boyfriend and i were served by the most lovely, charming, delightful young lady ever, what an utterly beautiful soul. ❤️

Don't really use it other than farmers market

Mansfield park gala day on Saturday was wet and windy but despite the weather it was a great day. Lots of entertainment and stalls plus painting workshop for children. Yes it was a dreich day weather-wise but my friends, their children and myself had a fab day and the band played on 😁

There was a band playing today, they were pretty good actually but sadly the weather was against them. We picked up some plant seedlings for 50p each. The stuff in the market there is a bit expensive to use regularly for a lot of produce I feel. Asparagus £3, cup cake £2, hot burgers £5 - £7.50 Home made Indian Curry £5 I've been down there a few times for free festival days, I personally wouldn't call them festivals, they are more like a community get together type thing with a trickle of music. Festival is definitely an oversell and they are a bit underwhelming but they are still nice and good for the community and passers by, bit of atmosphere.
