Peru Perdu at The Cotton Factory in Manchester

Excellent dîner with my family, it wasn’t busy so it wasn’t noisy at all; cocktails were tasty as was the food which was also fresh; quantities were good. We had the guacamole and tuna ceviche to start with, followed by the sea bass salad and pollo asado with broccoli. Loved it! The staff was amazing as well and very accommodating as they knew my parents would arrive from France before me, and my train ran late. Definitely recommend!

We went mothers day evening where we were fortunately able to get a late table. This place was a great find. Service was excellent. The bar was busy but front of house staff couldn't do enough to attend to our table. It was clear it had been a busy day, yet the chefs still turned out good standard, hot, flavoursome food. We ordered the chicken main which was a great tasting dish and a couple of mixed small plates. All of it tasted great, well presented and good portion sizes. It cost £75 including 10% tip, 2 cocktails and 4 plates of food. Which honestly, was a great price for what we got. As above though, the stand out really was the service which left such a positive, lasting impression. Would definitely return if we're back in Manchester again, kudos to the team for their hard work.

Visited with a friend after she’d been to the palace theatre around the corner. Vibrant decor, I got a bit confused with the door and signs in the bar that it was closed for a private event but it doesn’t take much to confuse me! The menu isn’t massive, but I always finds this means the dishes are done well and this was no exception. You can choose several small dishes (like a Peruvian tapas!) though we chose a small one to start and a large for main. I opted for the popcorn shrimp and found it to be even better than The Ivy’s version (which I love!). My friend had the empanadas which she raved about. We both had the pollo Assado for the main course and it was moist and tasty. We were so full we couldn’t have the dessert, which we always do usually. Our server (guy from Oldham, sorry, didn’t catch his name), was helpful, chatty and knowledgable about the food and drink menu. Lovely, relaxed ambience, definitely recommend.

Absolutely superb. We loved the decor of the place, the service was impeccable and the food was superb. At £65 the Chateaubriand is extremely good value and super tasty. I even got them to make my own signature cocktail, The Gopper - A Bailey, mint, espresso martini (never know, we might see it on their menu). We will be back!!!!

Excellent restaurant. Food was scrummy and offered lots of tasty options. We stayed for a long n comfortable meal. Rob really looked after us. We went following a visit to Palace Theatre and this finished the day off nicely.

I am Peruvian and the only Peruvian stuff there are the names of the dishes and the name of the place! I went with a group of friends from my MBA class as they wanted to try but it was disappointing to see they had “adapted” (transformed to a different thing) all dishes/ingredients to the UK, so it’s faaaar far away from being authentic. I get that you want to adapt something, but don’t take the exact names if dishes as it is misrepresentation of my culture and I find it disrespectful! I will never go back there and will make sure everyone who eagerly tells me to go with them that they know the truth about the dishes. Imagine if I did the same to your British food in another country and said fish and chips goes with fried sweet potatoes in a pineapple sauce and then try to convince my public that that is real british food an that’s how it’s served in the UK? How would you feel?

Attention to the customer’s needs ( including remembering their names and what they ordered- how rarely does this happen), relaxed atmosphere, sizzling hot delicious food all adds up to one of the best eating out experiences we have had. Simple menu that caters for all choices is well presented and very good value for money. Looking for somewhere to eat in Manchester, look no further.

The service at Peru Perdu was fantastic, with both Will and Rob being exceptionally welcoming and providing a good set of suggestions for both food as well as recommendations for drinks from the bar. The portion sizes were generous, and the quality of the food was also excellent. The pollo asado in particular was definitely the stand out dish. I cannot recommend the food at Peru Perdu highly enough!

Arrived a few minutes post our booked time. Warmly welcomed by the manager. Attention to detail and to our experience was his priority. Great table. Attentive, professional service. Menu was just perfect. Not too much just enough without feeling overwhelmed. Good choice of cocktails. Nice wine. And so for the best part….absolutely amazing steak. Tender and delicious. We’ve just had a weekend in London with no expense spared and this was far better than any steak we had there. Really imaginative and creative side dishes, we had corn salad and padron peppers. I could eat it all again now. Not inexpensive but worth every penny. Can’t wait to go again.

This restaurant is fantastic! We had tuna ceviche which was the nicest raw fish dish I’ve ever had. We also had sea bass ceviche which is 95% as good! We both had Apollo Asado and it was juicy, tender and perfectly seasoned. 10/10, cannot recommend enough - and we were surprised by the bill as it was far less than anticipated. We asked for a bottle of rose on the table and it was accompanied by candles and roses. Amazing Valentine’s Day care from the team. Thanks to Rob and the great team who couldn’t do enough for us. The food and staff were amazing! The only issue was with the manager, although he was nice to us, he was belittling the waiting and bar staff in front of us and to other tables which was unprofessional and honestly quite nasty considering the staff were all amazing. Apart from that everything was great:)

Second time visiting Peru Perdu and I'm sure we will be back again. Staff were attentive and accommodating despite being super busy. Lovely atmosphere and stylish décor, including the bar next door which is great for a pre dinner drink. We really like the South American influenced menu but I felt the choice was quite limited which was a bit disappointing. I may have misremembered but I'm sure there was a much bigger selection the first time we went. Still, everything we ordered was well cooked and well presented.

We had a super lunch at Peru Perdu, a meet up girls lunch, just perfect, vibrant, great music without being intrusive, feel good factor restaurant, the food is tasty and interesting. The popcorn shrimps were delicious. Rob and Will are welcoming and friendly and make the difference, feeling valued these days in eateries is getting rare! We really enjoyed our food, drinks and the whole casual vibe of Peru Perdu. We will return for sure. Thank you.

Went to this restaurant on the 25th of January. Had a great Birthday thanks to Rob and the service from the staff who work so hard to provide a excellent service.
