Persian Grill (Watford) in Watford

I’ve used this restaurant 3 times now 1: great food great taste great size portions 2: cold food, overcooked and dry much smaller portion of exactly same order 3: dry food, cold, plain, even smaller portion of same order, sent plain rice not the balghali polo that was ordered and charged for - Will not be ordering from here again

Pizza itself was pretty nice, although the toppings were really slippery (as in, didn't stick to the pizza base) and all fell off, meaning I wasted quite a bit of my topping. Service took a while, and felt a bit disorganised, but wasn't awful (ordered in store). Overall, would possibly return again, but it wouldn't necessarily be my first choice.

Second time in a row that i order and wait for 2 hrs for delivery… i wouldn’t order from here again

2 hours wait for delivery that was mean to be 30 minutes. Keep being told 10 minutes every time I ask for an update. Apparently their excuse is that it's busy..... its Friday night mate, we're you not expecting it? Honestly they must be personally slaughtering the sheep and then walking it here from Iran. Joke of a place, amateur service would be generous

Not good value for money! Disappointing portion size! No comparison to the same food you get in Iran! 3 Pieces of Dolmeh for the price of £8 is highly overpriced and not tasteful!

First time ordering takeaway from this place. Ordered the Kobideh (mince meat) kebab with saffron rice. Being Persian we have tried a lot of different restaurants but have to say that this is probably one of the best ones. The kebab was tasty and succulent.. the rice was perfectly cooked. Great food and excellent value for money. Will definitely be ordering again.

If I could give 0 stars I would....This was the first and last time that I have used this establishment, I placed my order and delivery was estimated in 30-40 minutes, when it hadn't arrived 50 minutes later I called and was told it was on its way. I then had to call back 4 further tines to be told it was on its way. Finally after 2 hours it arrived and the food was cold and inedible, I again called the restaurant to ask them to collect the food and refund me as I couldn't eat it and they just referred me to a 3rd party delivery service. Such a shame as I was looking forward to the experience but was treated so badly.

I am Persian and the food was an embarrassment to the culture and food. I ordered three meals for the first time (and last for sure), it looked as if the food just came out of freezer and into the microwave. I ordered ghorme sabzi, a very famous Persian food and I got something like soup with noooooooo taste. If you want to taste Persian food please stay away from this place. I am just praying that I don’t get sick tomorrow.

Its very nice to finally have a Persian restaurant in Watford. Save us going to London. However food was very average. My kids don’t like chicken breast why I ordered chicken on the bone but yet still boneless chicken breast delivered. Kabab was lacking seasoning although texture was good. Its all good when you have it all in one plate when ordering in restaurant but for delivery please and please have the meat and rice or bread separate as it becomes soggy and much oily when finally arrives. I did ask it to be separate but still it was delivered mixed so the bead was soggy and too thick and rice was too oily. So to summarise: wrong order delivered and didn’t listen to what I asked so the bread was soggy and thick, the rice was very oily. The food lacked seasoning. Please take this as a constructive suggestion for improvement. I will order again hoping for improvement. wishing you success.

I Had Baghali polo Ba gardan which Is rice with Broad beans and saffron Plus lamb, absolutely delicious , staff couldn’t be more friendly or helpful, highly recommended and I will definitely be back for more.

Tried this place for the first time last night and have got to say one of the best Persian meals I’ve had in London… Best combination of Quality, price and portion size! Will definitely be back again!

Just had my first delivery from here. Superb! Moist, tastey chicken with rice; fried aubergine starter, and possibly the best samosas I’ve ever had. Finished off with a pistachio and rose water ice cream, which was also delicious. Definitely worth ordering from this restaurant.

Oh my god. Is food just better in Watford? The food here is amazing and the service is fantastic. I highly recommend the koobideh it was so delicious and well-flavored. Probably some of the best kebabs I've ever had. always, my order is arrived ontime. Thank you Persian grill team.

The food was totally cold and I don't blame the restaurant for that but I'm Iranian & that food was nothing like Persian food!!! there isn't any tomato on the dish, food quality is just too inconsistent even the kebab is not cooked!!! really want to support a local business, especially an Iranian business but the food was delivered gloopy and horrible. nothing like Persian food. please change the name as Persian food like that! I really would heed this warning and avoid this place if you value your insides at all.

As far as take aways go, this is different level,absolutely stunning. So impressed. Can’t wait to try another dish.

The food was all good and had distinctive Persian flavours that distinguish it from other similar cuisines from neighbouring regions. However, nothing was outstanding. I think much of the issue is that the ingredients were not of high enough quality, presumably in effort to keep prices down, but it was also about preparation. For example, the chicken wings were juicy and tasty, but lacked any char and were not fall-off-the bone. I did enjoy it and really want to support a local business doing something a little different to everyone else, but I just felt that it could have been better.

Food was average and cold and not cooked well. was delivered in 1 hour and 50mins instead of 20mins! Called them to cancel but the guy made some lame excuses and didn’t cancel my order. Never order from them again. More update: got food poisoning and been vomiting over night.

Really lovely food arrived hot and well I resented. I ordered the kobeideh and chicken shish. It was beautifully marinated and perfectly cooked . First time I ordered from here . It saves me a trip to Finchley. They provided butter for the saffron rice and a light little salad , also gave me some home made spicy sauce . Great touch . Large portion with plenty of rice too. Fantastic
