The food was so delicious I loved it and it made my day

I clearly asked to ensure the food is NOT spicy as I'm pregnant but it was ridiculously spicy. Not even mild, it was mouth, eyes and nose burning. The meat and chicken in all dishes were low quality and dry . We won't be ordering again.

I'm utterly shocked by the Google reviews, and I genuinely doubt if this qualifies as Indian food. The special rice, a dismal 1/5; chicken tikka makhani, a perplexing 0—what on earth was that? Chicken in Coconut and sugar?The chicken pakora, a blatant 0, not even close to being pa; it's something else entirely. I can't fathom how this is labeled as Indian cuisine. The sheer horror compelled me to toss the entire meal in the bin. The only saving grace was the pappad that accompanied this disastrous attempt at a meal.

Undoubtedly the best Indian takeaway in Watford - I have tried all major Indian food places in Watford but always go back to Kasturi Food prepared there has good freshness and authenticity, and amazing taste. Also decent value for money as the portions are good. Also the guy managing seems genuine and generous. Lovely food for takeaway!

Ordered meat samosas, got vegetables without a call or a message, the lentils in the tarka daal weren't cooked properly, still though/raw, the egg rice was average and the vindaloo was weird, a sweet taste that doesn't really belong in the vindaloo and chicken consistency was weird as if it was old. Last time I order from this place

Worst butter chicken ever. What they served was chicken with coconut and sugar. Moreover a very rude host. Think thrice before you order from here.

Always order the chicken tikka madras which is hands down the best in the area. I prefer pilau rice though which comes in a smaller tub than the other rices. Wish there was an option to order a large

Best Indian takeaway in Watford! Generous portions, always so flavourful and a reasonable price. To top it off, the staff are great at what they do, and always so friendly too. I highly recommend the chicken tikka masala and lamb biryani. I moved to Watford from another area in 2021, and I was worried I wouldn't be able to find an Indian takeaway as good as my old one. The first place we ordered one from was Kasturi, just because it was nearest, and judging from the no frills look of the shop, I didn't expect much. As soon as we started eating, I knew we had found 'The One'. We haven't ordered an Indian from anywhere else since! We had family over for a takeaway in March and they were blown away by how good it was - their highlights included the lamb korma and peshwari naan.

Kasturi is 'take away' only but this is the best curry house in Watford for a take away! If you have any specific requirements, just give them a call and they'll sort it. I can only speak as a vegetarian, but seriously, this is the best Indian / Bengali take away in Watford. 😋 🥘 🔥

Not Indian food. Biryani is coloured rice, no flavour or taste at all. Avoid if u want to eat Indian food. Worst biryani we ever had.

We've been using Kasturi for years now and it's always our 'go to' when want an Indian meal that we're not cooking for ourselves. I've been vegetarian for 38 years so I can only speak for the vege food. One portion of rice is enough for two and the food always arrives piping hot! 🔥 The staff are very friendly and if you call them before hand you can make personal requests for your dishes. I'm not keen on desicated coconut 🥥 which they use in the sag paneer / aloo. I ask them to cook it indian style and it's never a problem. Tarka dal is rich and thick and all of their portions are very generous. Always our 'go to' for tasty Indian / Bengali food.

Take away delivered in 40 minutes all the dishes were perfectly delicious. My favourite Watford Indian.

Really disappointed with food service never ever order again from this restaurant Driver also so rude i order from just eat he came from wrong around and he blame me to put wrong address and said don't order after 10 than why they opened till late or accept the order.

I had a takeaway from these guys yesterday (saturday) evening and can honestly say it's the best indian I have ever eaten. Hands down superb ! Ordered from them over the phone, not third party delivery companies and it arrived hot and fresh. Everything was fresh, salad etc.lamb starter, and we know lamb in a takeaway is a gamble,was juicy and tender. I will be back.

Ordered via website was not good but phoned them and order taken. Food arrived within time frame. Manchurian chicken and chicken korma both excellent. Other side dishes very good. Popadoms and Nan freshly cooked. If they can sort out their website then I'd give the extra star

By far the best Indian restaurant in Watford. Owner and staff are so lovely when you call them. I would advise calling them direct or ordering on their website instead of ordering on ‘Food Delivery Providers’ You get a much better service.

Love this restaurant. Great jalfrezi! Good portion sizes. They always listen to special requests and as a regular, I don’t even need to tell them anymore as they ‘know’. Service is great and delivery is super fast!

Unfortunately very bad experience I walked inside the shop and was told to leave regarding the fact I did not have a mark which at that point I replied I’m exempt he insisted I must leave the shop and to read his sign ironically the sign says wear a mask unless exempt I shall not be returning I think he’s done me a favour anyway as the shop looks very dirty and messy

This curry house is honestly the best I’ve ever tasted . I ordered the chicken Rogan josh which was delicious and had just enough heat. If you are looking for an India take away take my word right now and order from here!!!! I am not exaggerating!! Quality and quantity and a timely delivery!!

What fabulous food!! The kids decided to do a take away but it was very late nearly 11 pm. This and a few other pizza restaurants were only open. I decided to give it a try and to my amazement the food came piping hot and delicious. The staff were very kind and even gave us an extra portion of biryani and a vegetable curry. This was so very warming to the heart that even to this day people are kind. Thank you Kasturi for your kindness and thanks to the very lovely chef who served us hot delicious food on that day. It was very heart warming gesture !!

Just spent a wooping £55 and had the most disgusting curries ever. Since when does coconut go into a chicken tikka masala or into a ceylon they even hung up on us never ever using them again. Curry's from Aldi and Lidl are far better. Better manners would start but you've lost yourself a regular customer

My son just brought me a meal for father's day and it was superb. The food was amazing and it was delivered early as well. Extremely happy.

Ordered through Deliveroo. Had the chicken achari which was deliciously sour and spicy - the best I've had in ages. Proper chunks of lovely chicken. Also had a lovely soft fresh naan and yummy lemon rice. Delivery came quicker than the estimate which is fab for a Friday night. Would definitely recommend and will be ordering again soon!

Had the owner come round so months ago, as a past regular costumer we stopped using them as the food wasn't that good at all, after his visit with a new menu he told us they had a new chef in place! ok so we decided to give it another go for a takeaway well all i can say is it was bang on very nice in deed tonight 15/12/18 we ordered a takeaway at 5.22 it didn't arrive until nearly 6.45 we rang and was told it was late because of the football at Watford football ground! not happy if they had told us we would have more prepared communication is key! however the food again was bang on the mark very nice indeed.

Popped in for a takeaway. Friendly staff and a 10% discount for collection. Portion size is generous and food very tasty. Expect to wait 20 minutes as food is cooked fresh to order.

Food was over delivery time {20.10} be half an hour we rang the restaurant @ 20.16 they said it will be a further 10 Min! ok so we waited the food arrived at 20.40! man at the door was apologetic and blamed the traffic in Watford for the delay as Watford were playing at home! then when i said ok and went to close the door he put his hand up and and stopped me from closing my front door not happy at all, the food was ok however our curry dish had coconut in it that wasn't depicted on the menu personally i do not like coconut and luckily i am not allergic to it!

This used to be our favourite Indian takeaway. The food was decent and arrived quickly and full of flavour...over the last year or so it has really gone down hill. They messed up an order of ours and left us waiting ages for the missing items, so we went elsewhere for a while...we thought we would give them a second chance a few months later and the same thing happened again. They missed two dishes and a naan bread. We ordered the food at 17.20 and by the time we got our missing bits and sat down to eat, it was 19.30. To top it off the naan breads / rotis were really gritty, like there was sand in them or something...needless to say, this is the last time we will buy food from them. Not good at all.

Ordered two chilli garlic chicken - in one phrase - 'horrible taste' and the smell of raw garlic totally spoiled my dinner. The person who prepared this woefully lacks basic skills in cooking. My first and last order from this place. What a waste of money!

felt food was very bland not what i expected

I have now tried all the special chef recommendation and I have never been disappointed. The flavour is just amazing, I highly recommend the exotic mix special, Gusth Kata masala and the Shatkora chicken.

Myself and my wife have used this place a few times. We've had absolutely delicious food everytime and very friendly staff. My wife loves the korma, I love the tikka masla and the most recent favourite is saag aloo. Will be going again too!

probado este lugar por primera vez, y pedimos una comida para llevar. Pedimos un kebab sheek que estaba bien hecha y delicioso. Un pollo al curry que tenía la mano derecha especias y era muy agradable. Y un cordero Madrás, que estaba bastante caliente, pero agradable. Los curries eran bonitas y gruesas y no aguachento como en la mayoría de los lugares que fuimos. Los precios no son caros y que vale la pena cada centavo. Las raciones eran de un tamaño decente y suficiente por unos segundos. Lo recomendaría probar este lugar.

Hemos estado pidiendo desde este llevar casi semanal durante los últimos 18 meses. visto 1 mala crítica, pero no es mi experiencia. Siempre se convierte en 45 minutos. Algunas veces han perdido algo (raro) He llamado y que se ha entregado a menos de 15 minutos de llamada. La comida es de buena calidad y precio razonable, aunque siempre pedimos directamente y no en línea. Sólida calificación de higiene, lo cual no es el caso con todos los sitios de la zona. La única razón por la que no es un hotel de 5 estrellas es que todavía no reconocen pregrabada normales ya que todavía tengo que ola mi dirección y detalles después de 18 meses. De lo contrario seguirá a usar hasta que me da una razón para no.

I Order from Kasturi almost every Saturday and it's always excellent. delivery is quick, the food is delicious, portions are really generous, and it's great value for money.

Myself and my family have used Kasturi several times now, we have ordered by numerous dishes and found the quality of food excellent. We did try using the online service but it comes up that we are out of the area for delivery but when phoning have no problem ordering and only about half hour wait for our meal to arrive. Also they are open 7 days a week from 5pm to 11pm which is a bonus!! I highly recommend anyone who likes a curry to give them a try.

I have used the kasturi regularly for our Friday night curry and have never been dissatisfied. Only thing I would say is we very rarely get the right amount of chutneys we order , however when we call to tell them they send it out straight away.
