Hooray! Peri Peri make food for the adults. I adore these grilled chicken peri peri burgers and wraps and think the heat level is perfect. A quick look round showa loads of people complaining its "too hot". Why on earth would anyone order food called "Extra hot" and then complain that it's hot? For crying out loud, what is wrong with some people? I regularly take my family to Peri Peri and am not irresponsible enough to feed them the "Extra hot one" just in case it ruins their day. But I sometimes have mine with extra sauce if I'm feeling cheeky although mostly it is perfect as served. The thing is a delight, the grilled chicken is soft and tasty and the sauce is lovely and tasty as well as having some kick, and at only grilled calories they are fine as lunch or even a snack. If you like spicy food you'll love this.

This is very disappointing to the staff, I’ve had one of the bad service from Peri peri Hatfield road, I will not recommend this place to any Asian people.

Sooooo slow!! 20 minutes to get a chicken wrap and the chicken had already been cooked. The servers don't greet you when you get there. I have no problem about different languages but there is a sense they are talking poorly about customers. Delicious chicken. But not worth going back again.

The grilled chicken here is one of the best in my opinion and hopefully it will remain consistent along with the top quality service that comes with it. Go ahead and see for yourself and do not let curiousity get the better of you because if haven't tried it yourself than you'll never know.

Updated Review 26/12/21 I'm a regular for the Meal 4 Combo Wing and thigh& My nephew has the same with Leg and thigh. Juicy chicken chilli sauce and chips mmmm tasty. Fast service ring to collect ready within 10mins delivery 30/40 mins depends if they busy.

I honestly rate this place so much! Always fresh = amazing food.

The best burger I had in the UK until now is their peri peri burger. I wasn't expecting such a great taste at this prices. They are very reasonable yet yummy. The staff is very friendly as well. You might have a car parking issue but if you sort that out it would be great experience to try them.

It's ok. Good basic food. Shame for the fried soggy chicken. Stick to the piri piri chicken far superior!

I ordered food for my children and I ordered plain but it came spicy, I called and they said if I wanted plain they could make it and could collect but I said I ordered via just eat for the delivery so what was the point - very disappointed and kids were hungry

Ordered peri peri on deliveroo. We have ordered many times from here, a couple of times there has been missing food from the orders but would still go back as they would rectify their mistake! NOT THIS TIME!! Called to say the mini platter was missing from the order and was told this has already been delivered by deliveroo. I mentioned I have the order here but not the mini platter. They hung up on me! I called back again and was told they are busy and to call back in 20 minutes to re-order! I said I have the rest of my food but you want me to re-order again in 20 minutes for the remainder...hung up again! I tried to call again but declined my call. In the end I had to call from another mobile number and ask them when they are going to bring the mini platter. They said there is nothing they can do and have to re-order...even though they already took my money!! WILL NEVER ORDER AGAIN!!

Ordered food via Deliveroo app, items were missing called them straight away, the guy picked up the phone said the driver must have eaten it and not his problem and to order and pay for it again, he said he’s busy and hanged up on me, he kept cancelling the call so used another phone, he started cursing in Bengali in the background to his colleagues without realising I am fluent in Bengali.

I usually love this place but I asked for lemon and herb and they must have given me extra hot because it nearly blew my bloody head off. Not enjoyable at all. They also got my order wrong twice so I think they just shoved any old thing in the bag after that. None of the workers wearing their face masks properly and no gloves. Not very sanitary , especially on weekends when it's insanely busy.

I opted for their handmade Kofta after it was recommended by staff. Decided to have it standalone with the bun or pita just with Chip. Absolutely amazing.. This is worth the drive from London. Their Peri Peri Chicken was very good I could not fault it. Chicken was moist and very saucy just how I like it. Will be back again....

Nice staff and great food, fries were done very well and crispy. They could put more ventilation in here as there was quite a bit of smoke inside from the kitchen. Otherwise nice and good food,place is clean as well

I ordered food from the St.Albans branch today, even though we live in Luton, as the staff are so lovely there and their customer service is so good. I have to say today i tried the lamb kofta for the first time, it was so tasty and i enjoyed it so much. I absolutely love Peri Peri Original. 😊😋

Hygiene poor, service very poor. Ordered our food was told it would take 20 min. Still no food 40 min later. They served every man and their dog who ordered after us. Once the food arrived to the table, they failed to serve the entire order. We had to remind them to give us the rest of the order, then they had the cheek to say can they give us the leg piece instead of the breast piece. Prices keep going up guessing because they are busy, but failing to keep a high standard. Do NOT recommend! Saw two staff members using one glove each to take orders, wipe filthy tables,Handling change and most importantly using the same damn glove to prep food!!!!!! Wings were dry as my elbow!

Best grilled chicken and chip shop in St. Albans. I have been trying different restaurants within the area but this is definitely at if not near the top. Was greeted by Tariq at the counter with a smile and had a nice meal. Would definitely come again soon. Edit: consistency in quality - been coming here every week without a miss. Not a bad word to say. Extremely reliable I order hot peri peri rap that was very good
