Peri Peri Original in Crawley

Service took half an hour after ordering. I ordered chicken set ( as you can see in the photo) only the quarter of chicken that I didn’t like as it’s dry inside otherwise the rest were lovely and tender. The sauces suggested by the staff taste good with hot chicken. Huge amount of fries that I think can be for two. They also have a kiosk so when it’s busy at the till you can just order. Not the cleanliness of my liking I would say if they have an area to wash your hand as this can be a finger food. The staff was on his own despite that he managed to help out customers.

I visited restaurant often after summer 2015. I say people were excellent and service great! Sometimes I wonder if any of the people still work there because they served me a meal, and now I am in a miserable dead end in an Northern European country. Winter is coming. order plain chicken burger with no salad or dressing and mild chicken meal when i open it on work it was dressing on burger and the chicken was extra hot so we wasted £15.00 and when they try to explain the manager said that is what u ordered no respect i know what i ordered Mr Peri Peri know it all ...what i would like is my money refund pls

Because I was squiffy they didn’t put all the menu items in my meal - shame they try to save money here as the food is ok - won’t be going back, as not right !

somewhere that I have been coming to for years and always been more than happy with the food, the downside is the guy that works behind the counter.. for somebody who is working in a customer facing environment you would think his customer service skills would be slightly better, also being able to communicate without being rude would be a good skill for him to learn. Don’t ask for any sauce/dips with your food because you will get told that they can’t give you any because there saving it for other customers! Even when I asked to buy some the guy refused and told me there wasn’t much left ( clearly 8 large bottles full and in the fridge) even though I could see plenty of sauce in the fridge the rude guy still refused and told me no, I struggle to swallow my food if it is too dry (which this meal was) so i ended up throwing it away as I was unable to eat it! I travelled 30 minutes to use this peri peri shop specifically.. no longer will I be wasting my time and money on somewhere that doesn’t care about customer satisfaction, such a shame that somewhere with such great potential is so massively letdown by its staff. Disappointed is a understatement.

Once again food takes over an hour with two bits of our order missing an hour and 10 minutes later and it's still not arrived I am very disappointed yet again with the service and will not be using again and will be telling that to everyone awful customer service

Went to this restaurant last night to get some food before catching the train. Place looked like it needs real cleaning and maintenance. The heater on the front door looks like it has peri peri sauce chucked on it. After ordering my food I wanted to wash my hands as they don't give out cutlery. When I opened the toilet door there was an awful stench the sink had tissue in the hole and there was a dirty tissue on the side of the sink and the floor. I decided to go through the next door which leads to the toilet. The sink had excrement on it. Went back out if the toilet and washed my hand there even though there was no soap. Went back to the counter and told the guy it smells and there's toilet on the sink. He just said disgusting. I asked him for napkins as there was no hand tissues near the sink. He said we don't have any napkins here's some blue roll. After getting our food and eating it i went back to wash my hands and the toilet had not been cleaned. Food there was good but better service and cleanliness would be appreciated.

Interior looks shabby. The staff are more concerned about their mobiles than customers. The guy at the desk didn't seem to know where he was, nor care. After ignoring me for some length of time he eventually takes my order, whilst still on his phone. The staff are as fast as a slug break-dancing in treacle. I've eaten there before and whilst the service was still tectonically slow, I will say their chips/fries are probably the best in town if you get them fresh. Don't ever go for delivery as the food will be A) cold, B) wrong/incomplete C) ages. Wish I could be more positive. The meat is always dry and leaves a lot to be desired. If you are low on funds, then you can get a fair bit of food for your money, but consider other options first.

In a moment of madness brought on by hunger I decided to get some food from Peri Peri Original. The air inside the restaurant was hot and greasy with a bitter aftertaste. My order was taken and paid for when I was informed they didn't actually have that and offered me an alternative, however I had to prompt the guy twice that the alternative was cheaper in order to get my refund. The food arrived soaked in mayonnaise and the bread had come apart. I returned it straight away for a fresher one. The can of Pepsi was ok, well actually no even that was room temp.

Craving some piri piri found this place online, I actually thought it was a different place, but as i couldnt find that and being a lover of piri piri we went for it. we noticed some fairly poor reviews on just eat, but they were a little old, so seemed worth staying with it. despite ordering online and choosing delivery we had to go and collect (i notice the website now says it doesnt deliver). The website was very slick, well done and professional, three words that sadly didnt apply to the food or the service. Arrived at the designated time, not busy, only two tables in there one of which moaning about cold food (we should have left at that point!). The staff were disinterested, abrupt and couldn't have been less interested than serving or doing a good job. Got our order and set off home - a 3-5 minute drive. On arrival at home the fries were colder than a polar bears paw, had to re-heat them all in the microwave. Ditto the chicken, all of it, the whole chicken, the wings, the pieces all of it was stone cold. We had ordered some mega deal combo thing (a family of five of us) which came with two whole chicken (there spatchcock so its four pieces to a chicken) and a load of other wings, pieces and stuff. spice wise we ordered normal (kids wouldn't like it to hot) and a separate hot set of piri piri wings for those of us who wanted spice. Sadly normal was actually quite spicy (despite the slick website saying it was garlic), and the piri piri wings were stupidly spicy, almost inedible. Hilariously it came with a "salad" this comprised about one slice of tomato, two pieces of lettuce, two pieces of cuccumber in a small container, quite how a meal for four comes with a salad large enough for a baby rabbit was rather lost on me. If the staff has any pride, interest and or enthusiasm and actually did there jobs to match the nice looking site could be a promising place, but i certainly wouldnt return without seeing a major change.
