Percy Arms in Newcastle upon Tyne

Depending on who is playing live, the atmosphere is fantastic, but the room the band were playing in was poorly set up in my opinion. Nevertheless for a city centre pub prices are very reasonable, split over several floors with people of all ages mixing together.

Fantastic evening watching the amazing Russ Tippins Band, playing upstairs. Drinks were very reasonably priced. Service was fast. The only downside was that staff weren't completely aware of gig times.

The Beehive has reasonable prices. Why don't you ?

Always enjoy a visit to the Percy Arms. Gets really busy on match day, so beware. Well worth a visit.

Brilliantly night at the Percy Arms watching Riff Raff. It's fantastic having live rock music on there. Good pub, great atmosphere, friendly staff well worth a visit.

Rock night excellent. Regular Saturday band nights are great. Singers downstairs on Friday nights too. The refurb leaves it comfortable and inviting without losing the character of the place. Staff are always amazing.

First time in the Percy for a long time. Pleasantly surprised. Fab atmosphere, well decorated, great staff and service. Clean toilets. Manager doing a great job, the highlight was having live music upstairs. The Danny Needham band were excellent and the atmosphere was electric. Well done for bringing live music to the Percy.

Just been in for the 1st time after the refurb last Saturday, it’s much brighter and more invite, prices still pretty good for a city centre and it was bouncy all afternoon

Absolutely love it in here been a few times and always a good atmosphere with excellent bar staff. Also this pub has been redecorated and has great outdoor space as well and the prices of drinks are very good as well.

Nice pub with friendly staff and various historical photos on the walls. I only bought a beer and therefore cannot say anything about the food.

Came in on a hot day to get a diet coke and got asked by a short lass behind the bar with dark hair for ID, I do not need to show who I am if I am not buying an alcoholic drink. After explaining this they gave up in the end and realised I was right, very poor service, how can you expect your doors to stay open if this is what you do to your customers. What if I was diabetic??

Love this little pub and use it on few occasions whilst up Newcastle. Whether it's for one quick pint or stay for few hours. Drinks are nice and at good price. Staff are nice and friendly. Place some great tunes. Just a shame they don't do snacks, even just toasties would do but il definitely be back. They have a brilliant beer garden out back all fenced off but you have to abide by the outside rules, like your not allowed to take top off outside on hot day. lovely to sit out on a hot day with lovely cold pint with ice. Sits quite few people. It's right close to good bus service and local metro. Shops are close by and plenty of places to grab either quick bite to eat or pop in to a restaurant of choice. Come here often but came here tonight for one last do with a mate, used the app which was always quick and useful. Jemma was wonderful and had such good craic.

It's been a while since I was in the Percy Arms, and it has had a well deserved make over. It hasn't lost any of its essence or atmosphere. What has it lost is the very poor and smelly toilets. It has gained a full re decorate amongst other things and carpets on the stairs. Some things haven't changed, and that's the excellent pint of Stella. Also, I see a lot of the customers who have frequented the establishment for some time. Great atmosphere and excellent service.

The new look will take some getting used but it's still a great pub with friendly staff. Made the mistake of sitting under the air con unit. Absolutely freezing.

Got recommended to go here and 2 be fair was a good shout, ok it's full of older people and the music was a bit cheesy but staff were fantastic polite and friendly everyone was having a good time in there zero hassle it's a real classic Boozer. Won't be for everyone but lighten up enjoy the good atmosphere and don't complain because they are not playing Stormzy and you will have some fun!!

Visited on a sunny day. Sat in the beer garden to the rear of the pub. Prices are reasonable. Seemed to have plenty visitors and to be used by return punters

My friends and I had the afternoon in the new beer garden today and what a lovely place it is, the renovation is amazing, the whole pub is beautiful, staff were lovely, service great, drinks very reasonably priced. Thank you for having us!!

Lovely decor let down massively by the food on offer. 3 Sunday lunches and a child's meal and the potatoes across all were poor to say the least, hard and highly overseasoned. Two trio Sunday lunches ordered and the meat was tough and fatty however the veg was plentiful. My daughter ordered chicken goujons and whilst the chicken was well cooked the batter they were coated in was inedible, soggy and tasted strange whilst the chips rock hard and drowned in rock salt. Sadly we would not return for food.

I call into the percy arms on usually a bi weekly basis. The atmosphere is always brilliant both downstairs and upstairs, and their pool table is top quality. Always a brilliant friendly bar.

Dose not serve food, no disabled toilets but a very friendly bar very busy Fridays and Saturdays, well frequented during the week

Good boozer very reasonable prices for city centre. Good music and sports on the TVs.

Great pub right in the centre of the city. We went to see an F1 race and there were plenty of screens to watch them on no matter the angle you sit. Also able to switch the channel over if the TV isn't showing what you like. Recommend reserving a table for busy events, as once the race started the pub filled up quite quickly. Cheap drinks too.
