WOULD NOT RECCOMEND TAKEOUT Usually quite a generous reviewer however this was an underwhelming experience. After hearing so many positive comments from Peppe's we decided to order delivery. Paid around £40 for 3 dishes, 2 pasta and 1 lasagna. Lasagna arrived almost spilled out in the bag and the pasta was quite underwhelming experience. Hopefully the dine-in experience is better than the takeout.

"I rarely leave negative reviews, but this place deserves it. The pizza was a total letdown. First, it arrived cold and looked nothing like the pictures-tiny, sad slices with hardly any toppings. The crust was soggy, and it tasted stale, like it had been sitting out for hours. The sauce was watery and bland, and the cheese was practically nonexistent. To make matters worse, the service was incredibly slow and rude. I waited nearly an hour, only to be treated like I was an inconvenience. Overall, a huge waste of time and money. Never coming back here again.

I had a delightful experience at this cozy restaurant. The Pasta con nero di seppia was exceptional, perfectly cooked with a rich and flavorful sauce that had just the right touch of the sea. The hand made tiramisu al pistacchio was simply fantastic! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it a perfect spot for a relaxed lunch.

I went with a friend who had recommended to go for lunch. We had a lovely time. I will go back for a date night with hubby soon. Friendly and helpful service. Great food and drinks. Lovely interesting interior and nice atmosphere. Can't wait to go back soon.

A big Thank You to Peppe and his staff for a fantastic birthday dinner, my 8 year old was delighted, and so were we! We have just returned from a 2 week holiday in Sicily, and Peppe’s pizza is still our favourite! We also liked the garden dome, worked very well. Amazing quality of food, friendly atmosphere, beautiful setting.

Great restaurant, fresh food, great taste but price let you down. This restaurant has priced like central London. You can expect at least 35£ per person. For a meal and drink. I recommend but is better places to eat for that same money. 👍🏽

Been a regular since 2019 and always loved the experience. However not sure why things were different today. The risotto I ordered like always was not like always and I couldn't eat it. Told the guy who was at the table who said he will ask the chef but not heard from either till we left. When the table was getting cleared and the young lad taking away the plates asked and I said I couldn't eat the risotto who went and spoke to someone but then didn't hear from him as well. Not sure if they have a new chef as its August holidays or it was 4pm so between lunch and dinner. Maybe there is a reason for food to be not upto the mark but not okay to totally disregard your customer.

This is the best Italian restaurant in England that I'm ever been! I'm been in Italy and Sicily and that restaurant take me back there!

Food was great, be careful to get a medium or large pizza since they are actually huge. Staff were a little slow but it was father's day so that is expected. The decorations of the restaurant were really cool and made me want to go back 8/10

I had the Lasagna my partner had the Carbonara. Both equally good dishes. The service was okay. The music was nice. Just a nice vibe over all.

Fantastic pizza, the Sicilian with salted ricotta was my favourite. Thin and digestible pasta, homely and affectionate environment, we also really liked the musician with the guitar (we happened on a Friday). A nice place, worth returning

Was asked 'How can we help you' when we walked into the restaurant at 9 PM. Apparently they close at 9 PM but don't update their timings correctly and that's our fault. Edit: It was a weekday.

This place is unbelievable. I had never been before but the exterior was so nicely illuminated as I was passing it enticed me to stop. And what I encountered within was exceptional. A very warm, softly lit, cosy, rustic and inviting interior immediately made me feel comfortable. There was live music with a gentleman playing a guitar, singing and strolling about as he played, almost akin to a troubadour of old! It was full of merriment and happy families dining away in a subtle murmur of satisfaction. It is particularly family friendly, with little bambini coming and going with their families. Don’t let the presence of children deter you tho, these were amongst the nicest and well behaved children I’ve ever encountered in a restaurant. And speaking of kids, it’s almost run one by, haha! Daughter of the owner Peppe, her name is Giulia and I swear to God she is an angel! I’ve never encountered anyone so genuinely kind hearted and she’s still at school herself for crying out loud! She gets an A* for hospitality bless her. Shout out to Patricia behind the bar too who was very nice. In fact all the service staff were, a fantastic bunch of people, very helpful, attentive and friendly. They have the best of the Italian beers on draught amongst others and their wine list is phenomenal. The large glass of chianti I had was a very good one. And the food! I had a capriciossa pizza and it was sublime. That pizza chef knows what he’s doing. Light as a feather dough, high quality fresh ingredients, with big chunks of artichoke which I love, but the highlight of which was a wonderful pommodoro/passata tomato base, absolutely deliciozo! I want another one already! I cannot recommend it highly enough, whether you’re in a large group, going as a couple for a special occasion/weekly night out, as a family or even as a solitary individual patron, you will be treated equally wonderfully by this establishment. Probably best to book a table though if in a group of more than two, this place is busy which is always a good sign. Go check it out for yourselves, and bring your appetite with you, your stomach will thank you. Grazie Peppe! ;)

Great meal yesterday and the staff friendly

Didn't meet our expectations. It didn't taste as home-made italian food. Just what you get in tipical italian chane

Been a couple of times. It's an odd layout but service is good. First meal was excellent, second time just ok. Quite expensive (e.g. £5 for a tiny bowl of olives). Seafood pasta on first visit was pricey but great. Main courses were less impressive last time considering the price and the rum baba was dry and disappointing.

Very disappointed after seeing so many good reviews, charging £6 for some miserly piece of bread, and potatoes than resembled KFC wedges and a pasta dish which tasted like a micro job from Lidll, often wonder where these reviews come from, in there favour was the good service.

The most authentic sicilian dining experience. Being from sicily, I know how important is good food to us and Peppe's is simply the go to place for un unforgettable meal. The atmosphere is super authentic, warm and welcoming. Giuseppe is a lovely person and passionate about what he does, you can feel that in every corner and in every bite. Unmissable experience. Top!

As soon as you get in the restaurant you had like the sensation of a trip to Sicily!! From the food to the style of the interiors you are able to breed the vibes ofthe glorious island !! The chef/owner select meticulousness every ingredient importing most of them straight from italy!! Already been twice and already booked the third visit!! Magnificent!!

Been here quite a few times and find the place a bit hit and miss with inconsistent price to portion ratios (some menu items good, some bad) and variable service. The food itself is generally good, but I shouldn't be leaving the place hungry or thinking "Is that it?" when the main arrives.

I visited Peppe’s for dinner with friends this week and we immediately appreciated the professional and warm welcome, traditional and homely décor, relaxed atmosphere, cosy fire and that there was something for everyone to be found in the menu and on the wine list. Service was first class. Our food was delicious, portions were generous, and it was no trouble for the team to smartly pack what we weren’t able to finish. A complimentary digestif was an appreciated gesture to end a memorable evening. Thank you so much.

Used to go here for decent pizza and food. So disappointed with pizza. So much passata / tomato purée you could not taste anything else . Parmigiana also totally socked with same ingredient. C

Dear patrons and team, Tonight, I had the unfortunate experience of encountering disrespectful behavior from a guest. Despite our commitment to high standards, a complaint was raised about the food, which we take seriously in our 5-star certified establishment. The guests mentioned their dishes were cold, and the starter was burnt, but it was puzzling as they had been asked multiple times by our servers, and all seemed well until my involvement. Strangely, they even finished the entire burnt starter. I promptly apologized and offered complimentary items, but the situation escalated into public rudeness, including personal insults. The lady called me a snake and hurled other absurd accusations, which was both uncalled for and unappreciated. We came across this restaurant by chance while collecting something in the local area. What a great find, had a plate of spaghetti and a small pizza and a tomato salad as a lunch which we shared and everything was delicious. I would recommend this place highly, just a shame we don’t live nearer!

Traditional Italian restaurant with excellent quality food

Italian-english experience. I am Italian and I choose to stop at this restaurant because of the reviews. It might have been a one off bad experience. The restaurant looks very cozy and inviting, the staff is very welcoming and warm. The food, or at least what we ordered was disappointing. The"caldo siciliano " starter was a disgrace. The bread served was "microwave crunchy " with frozen fried "crocche"( warm outside and strangely cold inside). The non Sicilian arancini and fried bread where an offence to what an arancini or pane in carrozza should be. All of it served with a bit of garnish salad leaves that resembles the most cheap serving in the 80's. My wife took as a main the "Knorr veal saltimbocca" , the only thing she could taste was the veggie stock in the sauce, so salty. I took a starter as a main, the "polipo e patate" and it was okay. Okay because the butter burned taste overtook the octopus one. We did not took the dessert to avoid further disappointment. It might be a very Italian experience for foreigners but if this is the standard it's disappointing. Please note, this is one of the first bad reviews I ever wrote. I usually don't care but this time the expectations were high.

Have spoilt my elderly aunt who had just got back from hols in Sicily & she said the food was better than some she’d had out there - but also went to a kids party there & even the basic pizza was delicious (adults jostling with kids to have some 😋🤣) & eaten there many times with family & wife & kid & never disappointed- writing this makes me think we’ll probably be eating there v soon 😉

I was at Pepe's this evening, I must say this is a top quality Italian restaurant and the staff were very friendly! We were served by Ala and Ishan ( I hope I am not butchering their names) the food quality was spectacular and their house wine is a must try! Also their desert was amazing tirapistachio (tiramisu with piatachios) everything is made in house. Highly recommended 10/10

The delivery was continuously delayed further and further, no explanation for the delay and the food was cold

Myself and my 3 children went for dinner last night. We were warmly welcomed and service was excellent the entire time we were there. We all had pizza, which was tasty but a bit on the soggy side. Shame.

Went to this restaurant last night with my mother and sister. Lovely girls waitressing and food tasty. However despite being well aware of the post COVID implications for businesses we were all shocked at the prices for example £25 for a not very big portion of tagliatelle. That would be expensive for Mayfair let alone Kingston.

My family booked the restaurant weeks before for my father’s 50th. Once we arrived, the host let us know that they were not ready yet with no apology, and we waited for 20 minutes after our reservation time to be seated. We were not served for 15 minutes after arrival and had to go and ask a waitress if we could order drinks. Although we had pre ordered off of the set menu, there was a delay and confusion between the waitresses about it, even though there had been multiple confirmations and communication with Pepe’s. When we requested water and 2 bottles of wine they took another 15 minutes to arrive. Once the food orders were sorted the food was good, but the cake of the day was not cake. It was 3 layers of filo pastry with whipped cream inside - not cake whatsoever. The overall experience at Pepe’s with customer service, food and drink was dissatisfactory and underwhelming. I don’t recommend this restaurant to anyone.

I FORGOT I WAS IN LONDON. The environment recreated in the outdoor garden immediately takes you to Sicily just like in those typical places where you can taste the highest quality food, the aromas and enjoy long conversations at the table with friends after dinner without anyone pushing you to leave the table for other customers, as well as in Sicily where you feel at home in the restaurant. Top quality food, I don't need to ask where the ingredients come from because the taste already says so. I ate one of the best "Sicilian Cassata" of my life, prepared with the old school method. Everything in this restaurant is old school style, very very Sicilian! I really recommend to taste everything in the menu. The wines are also of the highest quality. I have not tried the pizza but I have been able to observe an excellent quality by looking at those in the neighboring tables. 6 stars for all of this. GRAZIE PEPPE

Lovely local restaurant with authentic Italian cuisine, never disapoints

Authentic Italian food, fresh cooked, freshly caught. All reasonably priced, although service with a bit rushed and didn't give you time to think! We have no complaints about the food and while the lobster did appear to come from the 'fish bath' despite it being a Special. It still tasted fresh and delicious. Our King prawn dishes of a very reasonable size with risotto and laguine. The sharing starters set everything off very nicely. So the complaint really is that we felt hastled for our order, plates were cleared away quickly when we had only just finished. No time to dip our bread in the delicious sauce. A missed opportunity!

Amazing little gem hidden away on Tudor Drive in North Kingston. We had the 1 metre pizzas, a couple of sides, and pasta. Everything was perfect. Probably one of the rare places in Richmond or Kingston that do traditional style pizzas of this size. Atmosphere was great, and staff were very polite and friendly, willing to help. He has good fish dishes on the menu, with Sicilian imported fish, something we will try next time. Highly recommended place for delightful Italian food at reasonable prices, I hope you'll enjoy the experience as much as we did.

Spur of the moment decision to have lunch. All v easy and happy with table. Great menu. Both went for special mains and they were fabulous. Well exceeded the price expectations, you often pay for what you get in this world and in this cash the Sicilian Stew was exceptional. Also, even better, because Chef must have first misread order and provided the pasta slant on same theme! This was immediately rectified and, I had a lovely pasta dish to take home!! All excellent, appropriately attentive service and v smiley execution. We'll be back.

Although the food amazing, there is no reception or welcoming when you enter. It is too tight entrance, you squeeze somewhere and wait for someone to notice you wait which is really annoying. To me the food comes second but a warm welcoming and reception is what a customer is expecting initially. So, it comes to the management, if the management is good then you have a great welcoming and great service with a great food. Please improve your reception.

Seemed very traditional and food was good overall. The aubergine caponata had more onion than aubergine and bread could have been better. Service was good and attentive.

It's the 3rd time we come to Peppe. We live far away but honestly this place is worth the trip. Delicious sicilian food, lovely atmosphere, lots of space for big gatherings and great service.

We had a great mother's Day lunch here. The staff was very accommodating and friendly to our large group with young children. Food has a very homemade feel to it. The seafood tagliatelle was fantastic and so were the cocktails. Rissotto and steak dishes left much to be desired. Nonetheless - overall a good experience

Nice family meal in the pod in the rear garden. It was extra work for the staff which we appreciated.

We came from Oxford , booked for a table at 14:15, running a bit late with the traffic they called us at 14:30 to cancel the booking, we explained we were coming from ox and just 5 mins from the restaurant but they said the kitchen closes at 14 so which is the sense to take a booking at 14:15? Also the website and Google mention they close at 23 with no brakes.

I visited alone and ate prawn pasta and glass of wine with side dish orange,red onion ,olive And Anchovies it was delicious

I heard good things about this place and was not disappointed. We had a small pizza (which was huge, fair warning) and the penne arribiata, both excellent. We didn’t have a booking but they squeezed us in and were really nice about it. Recommended!

Best pizza around and a genuine lovely italian hospitality

As a local Italian style eatery it is a delightful surprise. Found it by accident in an area I'm not usually in and had a lovely meal at a reasonable price in today's crazy market.

First time at the restaurant, and glad we have discovered it. Delicious food, helpful staff, a bit of a timing issue with the (very good) pizza served before the rest of the mains, which wasn't ideal but the food when it came was fantastic. I had the Sea Bream served off the bone at my request and filleted perfectly... not a bone to be found. Moist and succulent with a lovely lemony sauce. We will definitely return.
