Very rude staff and bad service! we are trying to place an order and one of my family members have asked to use the toilet as they have medical problems and lady at the counter says it out of order when I had just seen a staff member use the toilet and come out and then he laughs at us saying it’s for staff only and then manager says it’s not working. They put a fake out of order sign even though all of the staff are using so I had cancelled my order and ordered elsewhere as both staff members were just giving us a dirty look for wanting to use a toilet. Why have a restaurant if you’re not gonna let customers use the bloody toilet! Very rude service.

I called in for two chicken rice boxes, collection, the manager answered and said it would be ready in 5 minutes,, 10 minutes after i went there and one of the staff said the order is not being taken maybe you called a wrong location so i called the same number to check if it is the right location and the manager answered again i told him what was the issue and he came to the front and started moaning why have i called if iam in the store thats ridiculous!! Whats actually is him not taking my order when i called in what kinda service is this !!! Then i had to order again and wait another 20 minutes for my food !!! He didn’t even apologise for his behaviour and not taking my order sooner, Ridiculous service worst pepes location in whole uk , i have being in many different branches of pepes all across UK this one by far is the worst, ridiculous manager and slow service!! This location is acc damaging pepes reputation as a franchise

10 pound for a chicken burrito meal, there's NO salsa in the wrap (LIKE 0). It's so dry and just loaded with rice (see images). That's twice now I've received no salsa inside the wrap. Not going back. It's am honest review, no issues with customer service, just product is not worth the price

We always visit Pepe's in Newcastle on West road if we fancy grilled chicken. Have tried many other places including Nandos but no one comes close. Wish they would fix their Aircon though as it was boiling hot when we went in. Had to ask them if we could open the front entrance to let some breeze in. Overall, it's the best place to go and service is really good too. Halal eatery.

Visited on the way to Scotland to grab lunch for the family. Staff are very friendly. They were quick. The packing was good. Food was tasty and fresh. Plenty of space to sit.

The ‘chicken’ wings are rank, they used to be so good but they’ve definitely changed them. The spice and sauce is lovely but the actual meat is always pink and red and so off putting. Wouldn’t be surprised if its not actually chicken

Order was delivered in 1:30 time and 30 late. food was burnt and sauce everywhere. Food was not hot. Phone to restatement twice and they keep lying driver is on the way. Chips was not tasty but chicken was very nice and a bit warm. Can of pepsi was also missed. Not really enjoyed. 😟😟

Not anymore¡¡¡¡!!!! I had peri peri whole chicken from here. Not well cooked chicken. Blood still inside. I have this experience from here a couple of time recently. In my last order I mentioned that there was blood in chicken, so please cook properly this time but of no avail. Very disappointed. Other than that the size of chicken was very small. Not recommended.

Ordered a chicken burger which tasted disgusting, it was processed chicken which had no real chicken fillet. The wings were so small and I found a piece of hair on one of the wings. Overall a very bad experience and £15 gone to waste.

Went to eat at pepes west Rd last night for sitting in to eat, all the table was soo dirty and filthy. The food wasn’t fresh at all everybody in the house is sick after having the food. Had to pick up my son from school because he was sick because of the food we had last night. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone, the staff’s are busy talking rather than cleaning the tables. What a cheat they only take cash.

I telephoned to place an order 30 minutes before the store shut. They answered straight away and were polite. My order was spiced as I asked and tasted delicious. The team here are a friendly bunch. We ordered twice whilst on our way to and back from our holiday. If we are visiting or passing through Newcastle again we will return.

The pepe chilli mayo is hot 🔥 just how it should be the food is banging also took had a rice box with chicken day earlier that also is packed well and very nice recommend getting 2 sauces one of each you won't regret it garlic mayo just as nice has the chilli and to cool the hot chilli sauce down 😋

The food was raw. We ordered peri per chicken. It was yuck in taste having foul smell being raw. I would never recommend going there.

Me and my dad work on the roads and use this franchise repeatedly, customer service is amazing always up for a laugh and a joke, food is always 10/10. We can both fully vouch that we have and never will leave this shop unsatisfied. 👌👍

Ordered a rice box 15/06/23 when it arrived the chicken was off it smelt rotten, soon as I opened the box it was an awful smell like sewage like it had been left for a week in the heat , I called the store spoke to manager whom I explained the above to he was rude and didn’t offer a replacement or money back and said it was fresh which it was anything but fresh, the smell was so bad the food will be going to environmental health for them to check this out ! And I will take it further if results show this chicken is off I will go to the papers as this terrible and if someone with low immune system was to eat that off food it could kill them or make them extremely I’ll I wouldn’t even give the place a one star ! Terrible food and terrible service take your money & go somewhere reputable and clean that does fresh food! This place needs closed Would never ever order from this place ever again they have lost a good customer !!!

Purchase buritto meal, full of rice dry stiff chicken chicken, no onions and no kidney beans. No tissues no bag just handed to you in tight paper bag. Want top end prices and give you bargain prices food. Won't bother with Pepe's no more.

Ordered on the app multiple times and never had a problem. But the the last two times ordering you have forgotten the can of pop with the meal deal twice now and it's becoming a habit. Tell your delivery driver or people putting the orders together if it says such as with my order on the receipt. 2x 5 strip hot meals + Pepsi that means 2 cans of Pepsi not just one twice now.

Excellent Pepe's experience!! Ordered rice & chicken which was full to the brim, so much chicken so much sauce, such a generous portion, not stingy like many other Pepe's. I rarely give 5 stars but this one deserves 6!! 😜

Dunno what all the bad reviews are about, i live in the West End and have ordered a few times and it's always been decent. Chips could have been hotter so it's lost a star, otherwise the chicken is super tasty, they don't scrimp on the sauce/marinade either which is nice. No problems as far as i'm concerned, a solid chicken dinner delivered to your door for a tenner when you can't be bothered to cook :)

Ordered the food which was a little bit late but that was not an issue. I understand that sometimes you can't complete the order on time. We ordered a £20 peri peri meal which was tasty but the peri peri sauce was put onto the chicken as if it was a chicken curry. I physically had to wipe off the sauce off the chickens. Taste was on par with other pepes outlets. Please could you not cake the chickens with so much sauce 🙏🙏🙏.

Worst service, they messed up with the order, when called to ask for missing items they said they checked before they send. I think the driver might be hungry on his way he might be eaten the wrap and drank the can of 7up. Disgrace they not ready to send the missing item. From our Group one person had no food. Visited this Pepe's for the first time ever. Eating here led to severe and dangerous food poisoning for my family members within a few hours. Absolutely awful the standard of hygiene in the resteraunt. Issues like chicken served on flimsy unclean paper trays, customers (under 16) being allowed to vape/smoke inside the resteraunt, dirty unwiped tables, a chef wearing an apron totally covered/dripping with sauces, no tissues provided with meal etc. No hygiene standard i'm afraid. Extremely concerning.

Been there many time but not disappointed. Today had burger and chips . Unfortunately both burger bun and chips was soggy and over salty. Really disappointed. Never again!

I would give no stars if I could, food was awful. Lamb burger was raw was undercooked pink. I was given peri chips wich I did not ask for also ordered chilli cheese bites and there was no cheese in them they were empty. And to top it off my cans Pepsi not even cold. What a total waste of money. My whole meal is ruined I'm so annoyed. I've took pics of food but it won't let me post for some reason.

Just gonna get into the pros and cons,this isn’t to hate on pepes as i know it’s new but i hope this reaches the manager and he can fix some things. Cons - food takes ages to come ,an absurd amount of time like 30 40 minutes at times i understand staff are new but they should be trained to preform more efficiently - food quality varies,sometimes there’s less sauce in the food or it’s messy or less chicken,or less seasoning on the peri fries which is very frustrating ordering and receiving something subpar, Pros + very friendly and nice staff +very clean shop +when the food is made right it tastes amazing +good seating area thank youuuuuu,i know the management is trying it’s best but please fix the aforementioned issues,

I ordered 28 chicken wings platter and the quality of the wings such size, taste, freshness was not how it used to be. I have not been to Pepes for a while and most likely wont be returning for a while as there is much better chicken places.

Would give zero stars, ordered 2 x whole chickens hot, to last me a couple of days. All night sickness, diarrhoea cold sweats shakes, had to leave work and come home due to the illness, I ate no other food except pepe's chicken. I always get grilled chicken with extra hot sauce, extra fries with garlic sauce. It would be 5 stars if the chicken was always juicy and spicy, the fries were always hot, the place had more light.

Terrible service. Waited ages for my food only to open it at the table and find a long hair in my food! Took it straight back to the counter and the manager offered to kindly replace the item. Out of the 8 or 9 people working in the kitchen only one of them was wearing a hair net (and he was a guy!) none of the women had hair nets and once told off even struggled to put one on. Clearly no training or care regarding this. Zero compensation offered or empathy shown. I demanded a refund and was given one. Never going back there again.

Always late .Never on time. Today I placed an order it was late more then 1 hour. And top of this they deliver the wrong order. When i called them back to equest the new order ,they took again long time to deliver order just round the corner and my other food became very cold. Very disappointed.

I have ordered my food through UberEATS, and the estimated arrival was 20-30mins even after 1hr I didn't got my food called the restaurant regarding the same no proper response from their side. Had food from here a few times. The food is always hot and tastes Great. We have gotten a good range of food from there too. Never had any problems with them. My only problem. Although it tastes great. The quality of the ingredients isn't always there.

Absolutely rubbish service food always cold drivers are so rude they charge people for not having quality food. Always late. On many occasions we had to leave the food as cold kids doesn’t like when the food is cold. I personally visit the restaurant and spoken to the manager about few weeks ago but they do not take things seriously. They just aim to sale sale sale. No customer service or customer satisfaction. What kind of cod practice they using ? I’m fed up with this service!
