Pepe's Piri Piri in Newcastle upon Tyne

Not good. Waited 1 hour and half. Missing 1 extra can of pepsi. None of the food was warm. None of the food was sealed. All my chicken was dry and cold. Fries went to mush dray and cold.

Paid extra for piri salt on chips and didn’t get any, both orders were sent with the wrong chicken boxes.

Pepes rice box gave me food poisoning old rice and old chicken lol we ain’t stupid

I have order salad shown on the menu with cucumber inside but when received! Only tomato lettuce and red onion. Very disappointing I paid £7.49 for ..

1) staff literally used the toilet and after that locked it. Literally next customer asked for key and they blatantly said: It is out of service. 2) during day time there is girl, who looks so lost behind the counter. Too slow to take orders, pack them. God help her! 3) saw 4 times (in 6 months that I have gone to this pepes) people coming back and complaining about packaging of order or missing items. 4) bots are more friendly than the staff there. Doesn't greet, say bye or even acknowledge a customer saying cheers while leaving. 5) this is only franchised restaurant on that section of west road and is lowest rated for a reason. 6) if you are ever short on time, don't go cause order cancelled take between 5-35 minutes for collection. 7) reckon management business objective is "jab tak chal Raha hai.....chalao"

The rain had stopped and my food came in a carrier bag so I am not sure why the second bag was wet. Chips cold and food seemed cold as well. Not the usual quality. Not sure why it took 1 hour.

My delivery never turned up I’m livid

This was the worst peeps I’ve ever had. Usually love it, collected it for an extra £15. Rice was absolutely swimming in water it ruined the whole thing, never had an experience like this with pepes and usually telling people to order it. I’m not sure what was wrong yesterday but the rice was nothing like it usually is. The chips were stale with white patches all over them as though re-heated / left out? Not saying they were but that’s definitely how they tasted, almost £40 down the drain.

Very very rude staff, won’t ever be visiting this place and the service is pathetic! You order one thing and they give you something different where do they get their customer service skills from. As you would expect at any sit ins to make use of customer toilets which has been shut on every visit we have made and here goes in the staff, They put a fake out of order sign up. Why have a restaurant if you’re not going to let customers use the bloody toilet! Very rude service. This is what to expect from a Pepe’s on Westgate Road

Was very good but pls next time more peri salt on my fries wasn’t really an even distribution more in the pack than on the actual fries. Apart from that 10/10 mayte.

Don’t buy the lemon and herb wings. Sauce is petrifying. Smells like bile.

Very rude staff and bad service! we are trying to place an order and one of my family members have asked to use the toilet as they have medical problems and lady at the counter says it out of order when I had just seen a staff member use the toilet and come out and then he laughs at us saying it’s for staff only and then manager says it’s not working. They put a fake out of order sign even though all of the staff are using so I had cancelled my order and ordered elsewhere as both staff members were just giving us a dirty look for wanting to use a toilet. Why have a restaurant if you’re not gonna let customers use the bloody toilet! Very rude service.

I called in for two chicken rice boxes, collection, the manager answered and said it would be ready in 5 minutes,, 10 minutes after i went there and one of the staff said the order is not being taken maybe you called a wrong location so i called the same number to check if it is the right location and the manager answered again i told him what was the issue and he came to the front and started moaning why have i called if iam in the store thats ridiculous!! Whats actually is him not taking my order when i called in what kinda service is this !!! Then i had to order again and wait another 20 minutes for my food !!! He didn’t even apologise for his behaviour and not taking my order sooner, Ridiculous service worst pepes location in whole uk , i have being in many different branches of pepes all across UK this one by far is the worst, ridiculous manager and slow service!! This location is acc damaging pepes reputation as a franchise

10 pound for a chicken burrito meal, there's NO salsa in the wrap (LIKE 0). It's so dry and just loaded with rice (see images). That's twice now I've received no salsa inside the wrap. Not going back. It's am honest review, no issues with customer service, just product is not worth the price

Food was okay chicken fillets weren’t cooked properly …. And I have no idea if I’d call it fillet burger more like chicken steak burger so small…. Ahhhh oh well learnt my lesson.

First time ordering from Pepe’s amazing food very tasty, unfortunately the chips tasted stale and the chicken bags were open and all the liquid sauces leaked into the paper bag, fortunately it stayed in there, as the plastic bag was torn. Regardless of this we will be ordering food from here ..it’s way better and tastier than Nando’s

We always visit Pepe's in Newcastle on West road if we fancy grilled chicken. Have tried many other places including Nandos but no one comes close. Wish they would fix their Aircon though as it was boiling hot when we went in. Had to ask them if we could open the front entrance to let some breeze in. Overall, it's the best place to go and service is really good too. Halal eatery.

Visited on the way to Scotland to grab lunch for the family. Staff are very friendly. They were quick. The packing was good. Food was tasty and fresh. Plenty of space to sit.

The ‘chicken’ wings are rank, they used to be so good but they’ve definitely changed them. The spice and sauce is lovely but the actual meat is always pink and red and so off putting. Wouldn’t be surprised if its not actually chicken

Ordered £35 worth of food to which they forgot 1 strip meal,which has happened more than once. When I phoned them they called me a liar. I order 3 times a week with these !!!!! Never again!!!!! Customer service is absolutely appalling!!!!!!

Not anymore¡¡¡¡!!!! I had peri peri whole chicken from here. Not well cooked chicken. Blood still inside. I have this experience from here a couple of time recently. In my last order I mentioned that there was blood in chicken, so please cook properly this time but of no avail. Very disappointed. Other than that the size of chicken was very small. Took a long time to come, and as I was about to call, the order was marked as delivered on the app, when it hasn't been. When I called to ask about it, they offered no apology, just said that it had left the shop so should be with us soon and that the reason it had been marked as delivered was that they had to stop orders coming in as they were too busy, so that meant marking everything as delivered? Needless to say,food was fairly cold when it arrived. I wanted to order from the Gosforth branch anyway, but it wasn't available on just eat.

Love love pepe’s but if i order when its cold, ur food will be too comes in a brown paper bag inside a plastic bag so no way to keep the food warm be prepared to put in the oven x
