I donno why I keep insisting once again Asked for a plain chicken with no piri piri and I nearly killed myself. Couldn't be spicier.... £25 to the bin.

Delicious whole grilled chicken and beef burger sandwiches and chips. The spicy wings are great and the fillet burgers are tasty, everything is halal, we will definitely order again.

It is one of the worst restaurants that I do not wish to visit again. There is no place to wash hands. The trash bin was full to the brim, the trash was falling on the ground, and the girl was not moving a finger, her only goal was to get the money. I don't think I will recommend it to anyone. They just love collecting money

Do not go in with a gf. All 4 of the workers were staring creepily the entire time we were there.

Great chicken burger meal. Was served hot and fresh made while I waited. Chips portion is big compared to other fast food places! Definitely will be back!

10/10 Fried chicken is the best and chips are the best chips you try in Newcastle I recommend this place but the only major problem is that they have a lot calories but still worth tho for the beautiful texture and it’s totally worth for the price and if I can get personal chef I hire one of the cooker

Amazing Spicy Chicken wings(fried)

Giving away my order to people that just turned up giving me a totally wrong order and bumping me of 3 wings and 5 chicken poppers absolute shithousery

Ordered through just eat, and from leaving the place it took 45mins to arrive, I was less than 1mile away. Rung to ask what was happening to be fobbed off. Food turned up cold and soggy. Bad customer service from the shop and just eat and the delivery lad was clueless.

Worst food. Never eat there, rotten chicken that would make you sick. Never ever try this, you will end up in hospital with stomach pain

Service is slow but food is amazing. Always phone order for collection yet somehow when we rock up we still end up waiting for another 20mins. Food is spot on and is always on point and consistent hence we keep going back.

Food is not bad. Fills you up, but expensive.

Food tastes great every time but manager is incompetent and couldn't tell my friend about any of the nut allergens so we were forced to get him food elsewhere

I’ve tried almost everything in their menu, only the grilled chicken worth it, don’t ever order anything else, stuff are friendly often not every time, the best is the price, it’s reasonable.

Get big chips. Absolutely massive portion.

Alright, some times can have a few staff members that are complete arse holes to customers

Great BBQ meals, I love the wings they do, always great to come here around lunch times on weekdays and reasonably priced meals. Gets quite busy on Friday and Saturday evenings, from my experience.

I love the grilled chicken here. Nicely priced and juicy. Not to mention a healthy meal at a good price. You also have loads of fried and burger options.

the same menu could easily be found in many chicken restaurants in the city, but the best peri-peri chicken is here. the items on the menu board is plenty, but not all of them are always available (3 visits in 2 weeks time and this is consistent..).

Is the best chicken and food, staff is very friendly and helpful, I'm so happy, have nice place and access stop bus.

It is a clean , reasonably priced fast food outlet . Always clean and tidy . Generous portions on chips and it's nice food- plenty of choice on menu too- shame fillet burgers aren't bigger as they are good. Worth a visit - especially if need to grab a quick bite and in area etc

The best chicken shop in the town. Food is always fresh tender and tasty. Very clean all the time. The staff is very professional, helpful and cooperative. I love these guys and their food.

Cheap, reasonably decent. No complaints. Spoiled for choice when it comes to fried chicken in the city center but this is one of the better places.

I've been here twice and somehow they manage to mess up the order every time. I'm starting to think it's deliberate! First time I get home and we find the chicken poppers and extra fries are missing which were paid for, this time we get 4 chicken nuggets when paying for 6. Not a big deal but enough to make you think they do this a lot to everyone. I'll just go to Dixy from now on.

It's great for when you are drunk and would like a large number of chips for a small amount of money. The people are nice too.

Todo el personal necesita ser enseñado a lavarse las manos pero por desgracia el gerente no llevan por ejemplo, con las manos siempre están sucias. Su capacidad para comunicar es muy limitado, así que es imposible hacer que este punto para él. Muy unappreciative de clientes regulares. Pollo es ligeramente peor su más ilustre competidor que pasaban por fuera de la ciudad.Servicio horrible y la actitud de pollo promedio. No vale la pena su tiempo. Muchos muy buen centro de la ciudad cerca de comida para llevar.

This is one place where you will not say bad things about a grilled chicken. Its just a simple eatery but the way they did the chicken is just gorgeous! If you go to Newcastle Upon Tyne, and want to eat halal, go here. I went there last in September 2009.

After yamming trebles all night in sinners with the boys, we elected to grace the threshold of Chicken Cottage for post-cage rejuvenation. This was the correct decision. Not only were the staff graceful and magnanimous, the food was other worldly. One cannot hope to describe in feeble words the pleasure one gains from dancing with the Mega Bonanza - a flavour sensation akin to a sexual and religious experience that will change the way you view your place in the cosmos. My place is in Chicken Cottage, where love and happiness reside. 8/10 would recommend to a friend.

Right by St James park, clean restaurant and fresh food. Very good prices and good service too. Tables inside were clean and choice was varied.

Been a regular visitor of Chicken Cottage since my days of working at St James Park. The staff are always friendly and efficient, my meal of choice is always the half grilled chicken with chips and lots of chili sauce! Much better than nandos chicken IMO, more flavour and better quality. Long live chicken cottage

Typical fried chicken shop - cheap, nasty unhealthy..If you're looking for a quick meal to cure the hang over or tide you over until your taxi in the early hours of the morning, by all means let your drunken state make the decision, but any compos mentis person would not choose here for a meal.

this perhaps one of the most visited fast food I've ever been since I lived in Newcastle. It is quite close from my place. Well, it's cheap and have quite nice fried chicken. It's 3.49 pound for 2 chicken, fries and a drink which is good.
