They got our order wrong and where not interested to correct it. It was cold and the wrong items they did not apologise are try to correct it.

Their chicken was stale and reheated from frozen I believe. Stinky sauce, miserable portion size with only two left over chicken strips pieces in their burgers and panini rolls. The salad comprised of only roughly shredded cabbage. Every priced too. Just a waste of time and money. Would NEVER visit Pepe Chicken Portsmouth again or any of Pepe take away ever again.

The staff are completely incompetent rude idiots. The staff took an order for something they could not make a feta salad. When we got the order home it was just lettuce and chicken. We complained to the store manager who did not understand why we had a problem. We would not have ordered it f we had been told. This is a theme when ordering. They always seem to get the order wrong. Then you have a rude conversation with somebody with poor English and get nothing resolved.

As a family we have all enjoyed Pepes but now seems all new staff with a serious attitude, poor quality food now and as was always expensive but worth the price now very overpriced!!! And staff attitude is disgusting!

love the food ... it's even better than a nando's .... but they so often get the order wrong with delivieries... nowadays I expect my rice to be missing or the fries, or the wings, or the wrong chilli level with my order... i look at it as a tax for getting decent food though it is getting a bit too annoying now Pepe's... sometimes helpful on the phone, other times not helpful. Our last meal arrived with 3 legs and 1 breast (full chicken) and no rice... calling them now after placing a big order but they aren't interested... sort it out please Pepe's!

We have started occasionally ordering from here on our lunch breaks and they are so accommodating when we say we need the food by a certain time. It's always well seasoned and hot when delivered!

Unbelievable food and flavour; in addition the staff were very friendly too! I've been a frequent customer for a long time and can't recommend enough! Great job from all the team

when u order ben n jerrys ice cream for delivery for almost 4 quid, you would really expect it to be a normal sized one which is small enough as it is. what you get is the kind you would get if you got it at the theater. this comes with a family combo? no.

Ordered two meals and they forgot that it should have been a meal including a drinks and fries. When I asked if I could have my drink and fries I was told they were not ordered. After arguing with me they agreed I had indeed ordered meals. Never ever encountered such poor service and disgustingly rude people. They even struggle to communicate in the most basic of English. Also very aggressive and intimidating.

Would not recommend this store at all. Ordered a delivery costing just over £10, delivery driver turns up with no change and tried to take our £20 and wanted us to go to the store the next day to collect change. Very rude and intimidating not polite about it at all, offered to give him £10 and he could’ve come back to collect the rest and was told we had to go to the shop to get change as he was finishing his shift! Rung the store to speak to manger who told us we were in the wrong and they will never deliver to us again very rude and not well mannered at all. Waited an hour for food we didn’t even get, terrible service and poorly run!

Spent £25 on takeaway order, group of us ordered lunch for delivery. Food delivered without forks,spoons serviettes, we work as builders so we’re relying on them being supplied as they had been on orders before. Called restaurant to complain was told should have asked for them? Very rude on telephone and refused to send driver back with items. So vote with your feet! Won’t use again and neither will the lads here or their families. May get the act together on losing a lot of business!

My son, an adult, is a regular for the hot stuff. I don't normally like spicy food but every time son brought some home it smelt delicious! Now hell get me a mild, which is still pretty hot to me, peri pert chicken meal and the portion is always loads. I love the packaging and will eat out of the box. Not a cheap meal but certainly fills you up!

Absolutely appalling service, staff have an attitude and could do with some manners! Food is below par and really not worth the money. Won't be going here again!

This place looked modern and clean and had a tempting menu. It took a while for the food to appear but at least it was cooked to order. Just beware that the prices advertised don’t include chips & a drink, that’ll be £1.50 extra.

Got a take out from peps Piri piri it was really very good very tasty chicken much better than KFC I will be using this place in future you really should try it👍👍👍

Only local chicken shop who does delivery in the area! They deliveries take too long and most of time they over cook their chicken.

Food is great, ordering over the phone is pretty painful & they have forgotten parts of my order before but still the chicken is great, I maybe addicted to the spiciness!

Food always freshly cooked and more options than KFC. The marinades are really good, much better fries than KFC etc etc

Staff didn't wash his hand after been in the toilet. Soon I left the shop. Staff are not friendly at all. They ignore you for ages and they talk in their own language while talking to you

A menudo nos visita la sucursal northwood y así estamos encantados de oír una apertura sucursal en nuestro barrio. La comida no estaba al nivel que estamos acostumbrados. El pollo en ensalada con pan pitta sólo con tomate, el pitta estaba dura como una roca y al final tuve que comer algunas de las de pollo en su propia - el resto estaba tirado! El piri piri patatas estaban aguados y más condimentadas. Las alas de pollo en salsa de goteo fueron y había entrado agua en el resto de la bolsa de papel marrón. En general, un desastre.

Just another average eatery. Chicken is fine, just as you'd expect. No different to so many other similar places.

The chiken is very good and served with many diferentes sauces. My prefered sauce is the stongly hot. The soft drinks are unlimited. The atendance is simpatic.

Aunque el pollo piri piri piri piri sabe bien, pedir por teléfono es como hablarle a la pared. Para la entrega de la casa tienes que esperar como una hora para que llegara y luego, hay cosas que faltaban. Para llamar con antelación para recoger, que ni siquiera comenzado el orden cuando fui a recoger! El menú no tiene ningún sentido y por qué maíz en el Cobb cuesta 1,99 libras cada uno? No me impresionó mucho.

Worst take away ever. They always serve old chicken that is hard around the edges. When I asked for a burger, I got 3 pieces of strips shoved in a bun. All the sauces are watered down and they are stingy with portion sizes. Never go.

Pepes chicken always reminds me of a slightly cheaper version of nandos. But nonetheless it serves the purpose because when we need chicken and there is no nandos in sight... Pepes chicken does the trick:)

Pepe's is a sort of fast food grilled chicken joint becoming wide spread and very popular and we can understand why.Their grilled chicken coming in different marinades (similar to Nando's or Galitos) beat any other and we are reminded of this everytime we return to the little joint.They have side dishes such as sweet potato fries and mozerella sticks and cook on point. In terms of service they are exceptionally quick and well organised.

Pepe's has become a firm favourite for lunch for my team. Pepe's primarily serve grilled chicken ( like Nando's) but their marinades are far better. Prices are also considerably less.This is not fine dining but they have some perfect flavours that are just great... their 'hot' marinade is a great combination of citrus and heat - though not excessive. They do a really nice chicken salad; which is a mixed salad ( and the occasional olive) topped with tasty grilled chicken. Best eaten with a portion of their excellent garlic sauce and to balance out the health rating some peri chips ( that are so much better than Nandos).It's funny that when we haven't been for a while we forget just how good their food tastes and are continually surprised on our return.They also do kfc-style fried stuff but as the grilled chicken is so good none of us have ever bothered to try it. There are a few unusual sides available that set them apart from other shops of this kind ; a decent salad is one, but my colleagues also like that they can get rice or steamed vegetables in place of the ubiquitous chips...but having tried their peri chips these usually get ordered too.Often a good idea to pre-order as if there is a sudden rush chaos can ensue and your party will get their meals in staggered order. Meals seem to take 5-7 minutes to turn around, though it all depends on how organised they are feeling at that time.
