I ordered it at 1 and it’s now 3:30pm still not arrived just ordered chicken and rice and chicken wings and chips if that takes 3 hours then it’s pathetic and shouldn’t be a delivery place

This is the second time we have tried there. Ordered burger and peri chicken - took 40 mins for food. They are clearly far too attentive to the Uber/deliveroo drivers and serve all of there orders. Ordered months ago same thing happened - tried again this week to give them a try again - far too long for a child to wait . I could have drove home and cooked it far faster and better tasting Will not be using again- disgustingly slow service for a customer to wait - especially a child’s meal. The vaults need to get some better food outlets down there

Went with a group of friends. We ordered different things off the menu. I ordered chicken and rice. It was delicious. Everyone enjoyed their food. The place was really clean and the staff were amazing. I would definitely go again! 100% recommend to try it out.

We went for lunch. The staff were attentive and helpful with our food order and made great food choice recommendations. The restaurant was spotlessly clean. The food was delicious. We would highly recommend Pepe's in Bolton. Marianne and Mark.

think they have new owners or sumn since decor is nicer change of menu quicker service i go often now but from 2021 i would say it has had a big difference used to be small and staff werent nice foods good too very zesty, very spicy loads of flavour live their peri peri salt on chips and a tub of free garlic mayo w every meal staff are nice and patient dont seem to have hummus every time i go though it is on the menu and sharing platters dont have anything good on them prices arent bad but drinks are kinda overpriced £2.49 for a 1.5 litre when i can get a 2litre for £2 at a local shop overall its a really good space for friends and chill out highly reccomend

Food is good but it's timing of the food! Food should be ready at promised time and stay should serve completely rather then wandering around as I am watching super slow motion videos!! I paid them their desired money even then they poorly conducted my order!!

Okay so after reading all the terrible reviews, I figured I had to leave one too. I have previously visited Stockport Pepe’s and was really impressed. This one was not up to that standard I wouldn’t say. I agree the staff aren’t very polite and friendly. The food was good but my chicken was a bit fatty. The taste is delicious though!

No manners at all Don’t know to speak with customers Looks like they don’t want anyone coming in Come from Birmingham and thought to try it here But really disappointed Had to leave the food because of customer service So ended up eating in grillville If the owner don’t take it seriously now Will loose a lot ok future I believe

Was told tasted like Nando’s but did not at all and was just as much money, after eating half of us have been to bathroom numerous times, not great at all :(

Rang up to see if we could place an order. The staff member was very rude and abrupt. When questioned about his behaviour towards a customer he put the phone down. Turned out to be the manager. With management like this you can’t expect much from the place

Do not come here , 12 mini wings 9.99, enough to feed a 10yr old child, 45 quid later i got 12 wings and 2 burgers and some chicken rice. Very very expensive and the food does not taste right at all. The fizzy drink they use are defo not original, its cheap stuff and remember they are refillable so dont buy 1 each. Poor, never will come here again. Cheaper to order with another fastfood and everyone gets what they need

I went in with my family to eat on 31st July 2021 to Bolton Pepes, we ordered chicken strips, chicken wings, chicken nuggets and fried rice. We found hair in the fried rice, the rice was uncooked, and informed the staff, they give us another potion to take away. The chicken pieces were hard and rubbery, looked as if it was re-heated food that they give us. Lots of powdery sauce poured all over the chicken. They should give us fresh food, it’s what we paid for (it’s not cheap prices) The next morning we all had sickness and diareha, this was due to the food poisoning of there food. I rang up to speak to manager, I was passed over to him, as soon as I explained about food poisoning, the person said he wasn’t the manager couldnt do anything about it, spoke in a rude manner and told me to ring tomorrow, there was no apologies or wasn’t concerned at all. I asked for his name and said he wasn’t allowed to give out their names, I thought it was ridiculous. I rate them 0 for food and customer service. Instead of ringing them I will be ringing the council.

Very deceiving we were after the genuine Pepe shop as much as I was starving the chicken was old and dried reheated about 20x never again. Just bought greggs after eating at this failure of a place. AVOID!!

My sons and his friends went to pepes today 11/12 ur olds. They saw the add which said lunch menu inc fries, drink, rice box, half chicken or wings and drink. They charged them and did not put the drinks in or fries. When they went back to complain they were fobbed off by saying does not inc fries anymore. My son said it is advertised, they said well we don’t do it now, after a few words they have them the drinks. How disgusting that you treat children like this, my children or I and many others will not be visiting again.

Bought a rice box and a chicken wrap. Both full of flavour with enough spices and sauce, for a quick chicken snack I’d recommend this place to anyone

Me and a thew friends decided to come to Nando’s today for some nice food and good customer service but as Nando’s woz closed we came over to pepes to get some chicken and rice ! Now on the display they had meal deals for £5 pound before 5pm now we all sat down in are seats to look at the menu we decided on the meal deals now I went to the counter and ordered 4 meal deals which should of came to £20 now the man behind the counter said yes that will be £28 I said oh no just 4 meal deals at £5 each he then said if your staying in it’s an extra £2 each there wasn’t a sole at in pepes every table woz free now why would you haft to pay extra to sit down and eat I’m sorry but these guys have got it all wrong save your money go to Nando’s or el swere money grabbers medicoa food

Went here with my mum and sister and when ordering at the counter. I ordered our food and then asked for 3 glasses of tap water and was told they don’t do tap water and was charged £1.69 each for bottled water. I then asked for glasses to pour our bottled water into by which I was told no but they have straws. They do have a machine that has water and ice but they won’t give you a glass. So I won’t be returning as I don’t like being ripped off.

Visited today with my mum and after ordering we were given my mums water in a bottle and a glass, I had ordered the unlimited drink as well. I gave my mum the glass so she didn’t have to drink from the bottle then went up to ask for another. The guy was rude and staring and asked had I paid for it, which obviously I had as I’d just been served at the till two seconds before. He then only gave a plastic cup and said that the cup was for the water and I had to use the glass that my mum had already been drinking from for my drink. He watched to make sure we swapped over, very humiliating. My food was okay however my mum said hers was average at best. Been here plenty of times before and never experienced anything like it but wont be coming again.

We visit here about once a month. Food is always good especially the chicken with rice. Refillable drinks are good value. Only let down is the cutlery isn’t very clean.

Nandos had a long 44 minute wait so I noticed this place and thought we'd give it a try. To start with the chairs were very dirty that we had to sit on. My son ordered an appletise but was refused a glass to drink it in so had to drink out of a glass bottle (really classy Pepe's) 'it's policy I'm afraid' - real computer says no stuff. The man taking our order was so disinterested and started talking to his colleague so we had to repeat half our order. If you insist on hiring a man as incompetent and rude as this guy I certainly wouldn't put him on the till. The food was poor. The chicken wings are all the lower wing part (no drumsticks). Just do yourself a favour and go elsewhere. Worst dining experience I have had in years.

The customer service here is completely lacking. Uncompromising staff. All I wanted was a glass with my drink was told not allowed as I had not ordered bottomless drink. Food was ok but nothing to brag about. We gave Pepe's a chance over Nandos. Big mistake.

It would of been the most decent scran if the mash I ordered wasn’t ice cold, and there wasn’t a long black hair found in my wrap. Thanks

Located in the vaults at Bolton market place.A bit like Nando’s, but I think with more choice.Accessible by lift or escalator, so fine for disabled access.Order at the table on your phone using their app, or just purchase at the counter.Fast and efficient, and quite popular by what I could see.Will visit again I’m sure.

Arrived with my little brother. Ordered two meals which came to £18. Food is frozen, so quality is terrible. Cutlery was absolutely disgusting dirty. Is shocked me how bad it was to the point I had to go through multiple wipes to clean them. Not only that, but the containers they put them in near the drinks machine had dirt in the bottom. My 12 year old brother then filled up a glass of Pepsi Max and whilst walking back the glass smashed in his hand; cutting him in multiple places. I requested antiseptic wipes, they provided a dry wipe; not suitable for purpose. I requested another. I then requested scissors to cut the bandage, they got them from first aid and they were dirty as hell. I asked for the accident form, filled it in. They then filled in the accident form with a defence with no description of injury or what actually happened. They also felt the need to rub grease on the paper was necessary. All throughout this experience, the staff and management were not at all apologetic, empathetic or even helpful. Rude and horrific behaviour. In short, the food is frozen and terrible, establishment is dirty with literal dirt on the cutlery, unsafe after my brother had a glass shatter in his hand, and the staff are a absolute joke.Avoid avoid avoid.

I ordered meal for 4 and the peri chicken had blood in it. I told the chef and he walked away from from me ignoring what I was saying. So plain rude. I said you think I’m asking for a refund but I’m not I’m plainly saying don’t serve food like this to anyone, it’s disgusting. Plus I previously asked for some lettuce and cucumber but he pointed to the girl at the till and gestured that I had to order a full salad for £3.95 to get lettuce and cucumber. Which was ridiculous. I’ll never go there again. My 11 yr old son wanted to go Pepes instead of Nando’s but even he won’t mention it again

I had been there with my husband. We had chicken espitada. It was really nice and the serve was big. Also we had chicken wings for entree and they were really tasty. I will be back for sure...

Had raw uncooked chicken served , told a member of staff but they was not interested in resolving the issue refusing to take the blame. Would avoid at all costs.

I dislike nothing more than having to leave a negative review. However, I have to make an exception. Pay the extra and go to Nando’s, dry chicken, absolutely dripping with mayonnaise, incompetent staff, limp lettuce and the piri piri chips tasted like tobacco.

My friend and I popped in for a quick lunch after browsing the shops in market place. We ordered the laksa chicken noodles with sweet potato fries for £7.75 each. Alongside a delicious Apple and mango J2O we ate for less than a tenner each which is great value. My only gripe was that we ordered the chicken in hot spice and found it unbelievably spicy, to the point we couldn't finish the noodles.... Now with the both of us having grown up eating spicy curries & hot food, we can handle spice & we both agreed it was all heat and no taste= too damn hot. Quite disappointing as everything was cooked well. Maybe we were expecting too much from a fast food joint to do a laksa at the same standard as a Thai place? If I were to go back I'd probably stick to the half chicken and chips as they looked really good & works out *much* better value than Nandos.

We came upon this place by accident after a shopping trip and we were glad we did. We had chicken and rice, we asked for hot ( they ask how hot you want it) and it was hot! We were glad the cold drinks are refillable. It's more cafe style than restraunt and the chairs aren't very comfy. It's not really a place for a romantic meal but if your looking for great food this is the place and at a reasonable price.

After waiting 15 minuets at prezzo for someone to take our order we walked out and round the corner to Pepes. Lovely food and great friendly service. We had nachos with salsa cheese etc to start. Chicken pittas , really tasty chicken breast, and a chicken wrap. Lovely clean place and friendly relaxed atmosphere. Great for a quick snack.

Very nice little place excellent service and the chicken is amazing much better than the big name one..

Went to Pepes with my wife! Staff are friendly and it is clean! Very similar to Nando’s and just as good but is cheaper! The extreme sauce is very nice but does have a kick! Luckily the unlimited soft drinks help with that! Will definitely be returning

Found the Vaults by accident, and was really surprised what i found down in the vaults. Wow what a hidden gem in Bolton. Stopped of for a light late lunch at Pepe's. Staff were really friendly and good. Even told me how long i had to wait for their freshly cooked wings. And wow they were good. The restaurant is clean, organised, good lighting and really good atmosphere.
