Pepe's in Birmingham

I went and ordered a paneer and rice box meal for myself and was served by Aadil. I came back and saw it was chicken and rice and I do not eat chicken. I rang up and they said to come back and they will change it. I got my paneer and rice however the customer service was disgusting specifically by aadil, he gave my meal and said that he never gets an order wrong and showed a lot of attitude. I would not recommend going at all as the customer service is atrocious and their staff need to learn some manners, specifically AADIL.

Food is absolutely grim, ordered on uber eats it came cold. Burger got an acid taste to it. Chips are hard. Never again. Do better

The staff's treatment is bad and the food is delayed so much that you have to leave the order. I ordered a meal that was delayed for 40 minutes, so I left it and did not wait any longer.

Very bad treatment from the employees. There are always fights in the store, which leads to the loss of my food.

Food was delicious and fresh! Arrived quickly and with correct items. Everything was perfect apart from the chilli. It had too much of one ingredient.

Amazing food, very well seasoned and tasty. We had Pepe’s for the first time two days ago and had to come again today before going back home to Dublin. Special thanks to Saiful for the amazing service.

I came into pepe’s today and this girl wearing the hijab i suppose her name was Hannah, was so disrespectful. she didn’t take my order properly, every time i asked for something she sighed and ignored me. She was being so lazy and had no sense of excitement by taking my order. Never have i ever experienced a lazy worker like her.

Ok food for a questionable price

Just an average shop and lucky with location to get foot trade. The wrap ordered took time so thinking it will be fresh of the grill but was cold

Food is either as dry as ghandi’s flip flop or greasier than a 70’s pop star

Waited 20 minutes for food after complaining and was still given the wrong order, has happened twice now and staff are very inconsiderate

The only word I can think of for this type of experience is funky, I opened the door to a horrible stench of mould, I sat by the window and the smell became even stronger. The smell made me feel a bit queasy, so I put my head down for a few mins, whilst I was waiting for my food. The buzzer goes off and I get up, I look up at the ceiling to see the most rotten, decaying and revolting site I've seen, the thing was taped back with a bit of duck tape. Oh, and I forgot to mention the thing that concerned me the most, "THERE'S LITERALLY BLACK MOLD ALL AROUND THE CEILING". If you're looking for a place to get congestion and irritated eyes, here you go, but if you actually have some dignity, please go somewhere else, there's a nice nandos in the bullring. I hope this helps everyone, the workers and to all the chicken lovers out there.

The food overcooked infact burnt..... they charged for a meal but I asked about the drink they asked to pay extra even though I requested a meal in the first .... this branch is absolutely rubbish especially the food and service...... never again

I love pepe's flavour extra hot.

Can’t go wrong with Pepe’s. Always consistent. Chicken always cooked well. The ‘hot’ flavour isn’t too hot so if you enjoy really spicy chicken, go higher than hot. Chicken has never been too charred. Fries are nice as well. Only downside is the price. A lot more expensive than non franchise peri peri places.

Service was great and food was very nice

Rice was very very dry,salad was not salad but peas and carrots out of a frozen bag but what really made me leave this review was there was 2 people sitting eating and vaping in there.will not be going bac

Food arrived pretty quickly considering we ordered 6 meals. Everyone enjoyed it we got a mixture of things ranging from a veggie burger, paneer buritto to peri peri chicken burger and kids meals. Everything was to good standards, the place was clean too. Only downside was that the toilets were closed on our visit

My food was so good. I brought a spicy wrap meal it was literally done to perfection. My friend had half chicken, and he said his food was delicious too the fries were also up there. I will be going back there soon. Reasonabley priced, definitely recommend 👌

The whole place smells of damp or drainage. It's not good whilst you're trying to eat your food.

This place is great. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the atmosphere is laid back and calm. You can tell that their top concern is keeping customers satisfied. The food is quite wonderful, and I highly recommend it.

Came in to order a quick bite as i was running late for work on an empty stomach, as i had approached the counter one of the staff was really welcoming & gave me multiple suggestions (me being fussy on what to pick) he never seemed annoyed whatsoever & was really helpful towards me. I asked for his name & i think it’s Sayful but yeah really good service which needed recognition as its quite rare nowadays to find. Much appreciated!

I had a really good experience at this Pepe’s. One of the members of staff names Awais Ahmed blessed me with excellent customer service and I always go to him whenever I eat there.

First time popping down to this Pepes branch in the city centre. Food was amazing would recommend it to others. Was happily served by a top lad Awais who was a superstar. Appreciated the wonderful experience, hopefully I’ll be back soon.

Just popped down there a couple of days ago. Food was fresh and delicious and arrived quick. Customer service was top tier. One staff member who stood out was Awais. He stood out as he showed great customer service and was quite funny and talkative. Will come down again.

quite a regular at the shop, foods always the same which I like. Id recommend the chicken and rice, shops nice and warm. Customer service always good, one worker named awais I think, always serves with respect and is pretty helpful

The food was fresh, however, one thing that stood out which made me write this review was a young man by the name of awais who was caring, kind and compassionate towards me and my family

came to get rice box and was not given the basic fork or spoon had gone all the way back to realise that I could not eat my lunch? Basic fork sauces and tissues should be a given surely

Recommend the chick and rice. Very filling and tasty. They do burgers as well. Can be slow service at times but they use remote buzz devices so you can find a seat whilst waiting. Have kept up the quality for a while so reliable.

Food was good but the cashiers service was quite poor. Asked if I could pay by cash and card, guys at the till said policy is one payment method only, which was a lie. Manager came and said they do accept both and sorted me out. This is the second time the staff has lied to me regarding this. If you don't know, ask your colleague or manager. Seems like they hire anyone, please train the staff!

Zero customer service. Check your bill, I was charged more for a burger than stated on the menu? Must need the money.....

Pepe's is my go-to for well cooked chicken and wings. It's better than most of the overhyped fast food chains. If you want a nice filling meal, get the half chicken large meal. If you're in a group, go for their family deals. They however do charge 50p if you want chicken legs only. For the flavours they have many options and you can mix them as well. I always order it with mixed flavour "lemon n herb + extra hot" as it is the best balance of flavours. You can also try "sweet n sour + extra hot" but the former is better in my opinion. Don't forget to swap out the chilli sauce for garlic mayo cuz you will be needing a lot of it. The mixed flavour chicken when dipped in the garlic mayo makes the combo intense and totally fire! There can be nothing better than well cooked flame grilled chicken coated generously with spicy and tasty sauce and Pepe's absolutely nails it, every single time.

Really nice restaurant The guys are so smart and helpful, specially Saiful. Like the pepes. Foods are so testy.

I've been here plenty of times, today was my worst experience. I added a peri fries to my meal for which I paid, while receiving the order I noticed there was very little Peri Peri so i requested him to add more, to which he denied and when I asked him again he said you'll have to pay 50p more. The experience today was very weird and it's never happened before which is why I was taken aback😞. I don't know if I'll go back again, only time will tell.

The customer service of this branch is very bad. The food is not saucy and when you ask to make the wings saucy the manager refused to do it for us. I have tried other pepes in Birmingham and most of them they are more than happy to help and add sauce to the customer.

Absolute shambles, customer service is zero, it's as if the staff are being held at ransom to work here, the manager refuses to talk to anyone and stays hidden in the back. The food was awful, took 20 minutes longer than they said it would take to get ready. Not a single positive thing I could say about this place.
