Food was cold and missing items

forgot sauces and all food come cold

After waiting an hour 20 minutes for the food to come, the food was cold and we had to warm it up in the microwave!! We have ordered a few times but after that order we won’t be rushing back!! It wasn’t worth the £35 I spent on the order!!

Food was cold, delivery driver refused to bring the food to my door and said I need to pay extra for it

The driver put in the wrong address and proceeded to argue with me about it and be very rude despite the address being correct. On the phone, he cut me off frequently and made it hard to explain the address correctly. And despite explaining the exact address and telling him what to put in his SatNav, he went to an entirely different location and blamed me for it. The address on the order was correct and yet he changed it and went somewhere else.

The child's menu was burned, and the order was almost 2 hours late. Unfortunately, it was my first experience with this restaurant and the last. I do not recommend it!

The grilled wings were over cooked and dry, ordered sauce and a bottle of Pepsi this was not delivered when I tried to contact the restaurant there was no answer. Really poor service

First time trying Pepe’s after hearing a lot of hype and wasn’t disappointed. It’s nice to have the mango and lime option for chicken as Nando’s stopped doing it and it was my fave. The rice bowl was good but would probably get something different next time. The peri-peri chips were my favourite part and I’d dare say better than Nando’s. Don’t sleep on the wings, I really enjoyed them plain. All of this for just over £20 including a drink. Bargain for having a treat and not breaking the bank!

Ordered through Deliveroo, food was cold and when ate it didn’t feel right, and after eating it I had food poisoning the following day avoid avoid avoid

Good food and fair prices compared with other takeaways. You can always eat in or take away or order delivery. You can also order and pay with their own app. Food was nice and freshly prepared. Good for all the family.

The food was cold and not even fresh cook The worst experience in my entire life.Last time I came it was good but this time a bit concerning.I would recommend the service to improve.When the Burger was cold They just toasted it after the toasting the burger turned even worse. One of the most disgusting experiences i ever had at this restaurant. The guy made a wait 25 minutes to make me a chicken and rice box. The rice was stale and there was barely any chicken inside. That's probably why the guy at the counter covered it up good with paper before handing it to me to go, just so i can't take a look inside and see he had ripped me off. Also, if you order the chicken and rice through the app, you get a different kind of rice than when you go in person. This means there is something shady going on because the deliveries must be going to a different restaurant, even though you order from this restaurant. Absolute unprofessional behavior from this restaurant.

I had a great experience at Pepe’s restaurant! The chicken and rice with mayonnaise was absolutely delicious—full of flavor and perfectly cooked. When you get an order from a customer plz make sure that you put the right things in delivery bag rather than just blame it on the delivery driver which was later confirmed that it was mistake on your part. And seriously, asking me to come and collect it from shop clearly shows how reckless was your response.Also teach your staff to use the words like please, sorry and thank you as basic manners to speak. Taste was ok but the unapologetic behavior made the food taste unpleasant. This was my first and for sure a bad experience. Thank you.

Terrible experience. Our order delivery was delayed repeatedly, and we ended up waiting over two hours. Eventually, we received a notification—two hours after placing the order—informing us that it had been cancelled. Why accept the order and keep customers waiting if you cannot fulfill it?! Definitely do not recommend.

I ordered the whole chicken meal, which should be 2 chest quarters and 2 thigh and leg quarters. Yet I got 3 chest quarters and 1 thigh and lef quarter. I was quite disappointed. In terms of taste, it was good though spicier than expected considering I ordered the lemon and herb. The fries were bland.

Terrible Experience – Avoid Pepe’s Piri Piri! I’ve given Pepe’s Piri Piri multiple chances, but each time has been a disaster. Delivery consistently takes over 90 minutes, which is unacceptable. They always seem to forget something too – whether it’s my ice cream, a can of drink, or even my son’s burger! Today was the final straw: after waiting over 1 hour and 45 minutes, I called, and they casually said the driver was “just leaving” the shop. Their customer service is also abysmal – rude, dismissive, and completely lacking any politeness or professionalism. If you’re looking for reliability and respect as a customer, look elsewhere. I wouldn’t recommend Pepe’s to anyone.

Shop timing showing 23:00 closing but we reached at 22:55 in restaurant they people said we closed at 22:45. So why you people stick the timing 23:00...?

Amir, who always helps when I order, makes sure to grill it to perfection and even add extra peri peri sauces that make it stand out. The combination of extra hot with lemon and herb is the best! Terrible experience. Went here with a few colleagues for a quick bite to eat and it was abysmal. Firstly one of my colleagues asked if they were able to serve gravy or something similar with the food (they weren’t) and they did not provide a direct answer to the question. She ordered a lemon and herb chicken dish, this should not be spicy, and it was. I have a medium spice tolerance (have no issues eating jaelopenos but don’t like anything hotter) and I agreed this was far too spicy, even if it was a mild dish, and it wasn’t even that. My food never arrived. When I asked about it I was told I never ordered the food and that the order never came. I ordered it directly with the unhelpful man at the till, never have I been gaslit at a restaurant!! My colleague reordered the food for me and when it arrived (mild loaded fries) it was covered in chilli’s and was absolutely burning my mouth. For something advertised as “flavour without the burn” this was frankly false advertising. Also, why does it take 15-20 mins to make loaded fries? It’s supposed to be a fast food place, and it’s just chips with sauce and chicken!!! Overall disappointed, will not return, and I believe a lot of those with me will not be returning either. Edit: In response to your reply, i say, we raised issues with your staff when we were there. they were dismissive, told us our issue was our fault then ignored us and walked away.

Order was wrong had some items missing.

They brought someone else's order. Then they changed it but by the time that food arrived we had an ice cold meal. They didn't make a new one and brought it, it was awful.

I always order the half chicken peri-peri meal, which is the best thing on their menu—never disappointed. The service isn't the best, but it's worth the wait.

I recently had a disappointing experience at Pepe Chicken Northampton. The chips were overcooked and tasted like they’d been sitting in a hot box for far too long. The chicken was dry and lacked the usual quality I’ve enjoyed at other branches of this franchise. To make matters worse, the service was unfriendly; the lady who served us seemed miserable and unwelcoming, which is not what you’d expect in the hospitality industry. Overall, this was the worst experience I’ve had at a Pepe Chicken location, and I won’t be returning anytime soon.

I honestly can’t believe the awful quality of food I received from this place. The chicken was a complete disaster—so dry it felt like chewing on cardboard. I wouldn’t be surprised if it had been cooked days ago and left to dry out. The rice was just as bad—hard, tasteless, and clearly past its best. It was like eating cold gravel. And the fries? Disgusting. Stale, soggy, and utterly lifeless—clearly reheated multiple times. It’s almost insulting that they thought this was acceptable to serve. This wasn’t just a bad meal; it was a complete joke. For what I paid, I expected a meal at the very least edible—instead, I received something that tasted like it came straight out of the trash. To say I’m furious is an understatement. Save yourself the money, frustration, and stomach ache—avoid this place like the plague. I wouldn’t even feed this to my worst enemy.

30 quid for cold chips and lukewarm chicken delivered in 1hr 40 Wont make that mistake again

I just wish one day Pepe’s Northampton branch don’t let me down. They mess up somehow on every single time, without miss. Any other branch you go to, you will be impress, I his branch can never put their act together. This time I was given all burnt chicken. If for any reason, it got burnt, fair enough. Don’t flipping give it to your customers, make them fresh. Just got home with my food and found burnt food. Probably they were too busy having discussions among themselves.

Delivery bang on time. Food very good except the chips, they were pretty dry and tasteless, but didn’t really want them anyway so no drama!

I have always been a fan of pepes piri piri. But recently over the past couple of orders, i have noticed that the quantity of the paneer rice box has reduced substantially. It was really disappointing. I feel for the same price it is not worth buying nearly only half the amount.

Order arrived 10 mins late and when it did it was missing a chicken wrap. I phoned back straight away and the woman on the phone said sorry and that we could claim a free wrap next time. I said there was one person without food and for it to be sent asap instead. She said they only had 1 driver and it could take some time for it to arrive. It arrived about 90 mins later. I would have expected them to give us something complimentary to make up for their error and the inconvenience but nothing.

Amazing food the best food I had in a while

Ordered on the app for 5.30 delivery . 5.45 called to be told will be 10 to 15 mins. I live 10 mins away and also lady on phone was not bothered. Horrendous service deleted the app, strange you confirm order and then say takes time. Ordered at 4.50 I could have driven there ordered waited and come back before it took them. Arrived, amazingly it was cold and the pitta my wife had was wet and sloppy. Another got your money and we do not care about service. Do not want freebies or money back, just wanted lady on phone to say sorry we are running late but it is on way.

The staff is rubbish And rude and disrespectful with costumes I call the 10:20pm for delivery and the say we closed and on app saying is opened till 11:00pm better closed forever

Staff very slow and non. Responsive, I forgot my wallet in my car which was directly outside of the shop after placing my order. I said to the lady, I'll be 30 seconds. I'll just get my wallet and she started shaking her ahead at me. I have been here on many occasions. And I find the staff. To be very slow and non informative as to how long the food will be. On the other hand the food is always pretty good.
