Pepe's in South Lanarkshire

Good portion sizes, good quality puddings/sausage and friendly, quick service. We ordered three suppers (haggis, battered sausage and smoked sausage), chicken nuggets and chips, a portion of onion rings and two portions of chips. They also offer pizzas, kebabs, sundaes and ice cream

We made a well mannered complaint about poorly cooked greasy food and this was the response emailed to us “Sorry to hear you won’t be back but having read your comments probably the best thing as we clearly don’t meet your standards.” They obviously don’t care, don’t waste your money

Unfortunately we were very ill with the order of fish & chips and pizza. Started off as a sore stomach, then nausea, vomiting and over all pains in the body. Been ill quite a few times from here, so unlikely to order again.

Being a regular, Your new slogan made me think, well actually I haven't tried the rest, so I gave your competitor (Rollos) across the road a go. Their fish and chips was a disgrace, a Large fish & chips contained 1 fish portion as opposed to your 2 portions, the fish from Rollos was tough in parts and pungent, the batter was over overcooked. Never again. Sorry for doubting you!

Got 2 pizza's and a portion of chips delivered to strathaven from here on mother's day absolutely amazing

We had fish suppers a few weeks ago and everything was fresh and tasty and delivery spot on time. We therefore ordered again tonight. Delivery again on time but the breaded fish seemed tough as if it had been recooked. So we were a bit disappointed compared with last time.

We were very pleased with our meal, the food very tasted fresh and was piping hot. We are very picky about takeaways and pleased to report Pepe’s ticked every box. The staff were extremely friendly and efficient, and the management seem to really care about quality - I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Will definitely be back!

Got a delivery for lunch today after being locked down for 3 weeks and not having any take away at all we decided to treat our selfs to a chippy lunch. The food arrived after 25 min or so the guy delivering was in uniform which was good to see and observed the distancing rules. The food was in heat bags and all piping hot fresh and really delicious. Take my hats off to you guys great work during the epidemic. This wee treat today really lifted my spirits after cooking 21 meals a week for 3 for 3 weeks solid lol.

I pre-ordered for several items for collection. This was easy and we got what we wanted without a long wait. Chips were really good and not too greasy. Special fish crispy and tasty. We will definitely buy again. My son had the crispy chicken wrap with cheese and BBQ sauce - his only complaint was that the previous owners used to wrap it in foil and put into a grill plate for a few minutes to melt the cheese. Not sure if that is still possible.

Has the most delicious special fish. The batter is so crispy. We my husband and myself have a small special fish most Sunday evenings. No chips just the fish. Absolutely superb. Hope they continue to carry on in the village for a long time.

Just tasted the ice cream sold in Pepe's it was delicious. Would highly recommend it even though it is a bit expensive

The food here has went down in recent months. I ordered from here ALOT as it used to be amazing. This was the last straw when I ordered a baked potato with 4 sides, tuna, sweetcorn, onion and coleslaw. It was terrible. Will never use here again. Contacted Facebook page and the customer service from enrico is appalling too. First issue we had years ago was resolved brilliantly, clearly things have slipped!!

Started using Pepe’s when we moved here About 18 months ago Fish is Freshly Made , My Husband has a Special Fish I have a Battered Fish , A portion of chips and 2 Fritters This is our Saturday Night Treat And it is a Treat , Very Tasty Fish And Chips And Amazing Fritters

After a day at my allotment I decided cooking was not going to happen. Stopped into Pepe’s the menu is extensive the staff are helpful polite and friendly. The food is of excellent quality and well cooked. The only negative is portion sizes. Will definitely go back.

Thought we would try the other fish n chip shop. The food was tasty and hot. Great variety and meal deals accompany nice and pleasant staff who customer focussed.

Handy local chippy. Good portion sizes......they even do mammoth sized fish and chips with two fish. Good value, great taste and really pleasant staff

Really enjoy getting a takeaway from Pepe's. King ribs are the best I've ever had, and the other food is delicious too. Never been let down. Remember if you go on Monday, it's but one get one free on all milkshakes!

Great lunch time menu with a can of juice. Great choice of food. Cheap as chips. Great service from staff. One girl could run the orders.

Always get great food and staff are lovely. Deliveries are always prompt and still warm. Pity they don't have enough room for a sit in.

Good food for a quick Sunday night dinner. Delivery was to be 40mins but was an hour and a half which was a wee bit slow. Good food though and it did arrive nice and hot.

I ordered a calzone and it wasn't nice at all. It made me feel really sick. I really do not recommend ordering food from this place. I was surprised to see that it was fairly busy though, even though the food is of poor quality.

Nice friendly staff and busy so always fresh. Try the spicy special fish, it's really good. Full range of traditional suppers but also pizza and other options including really lovely ice cream

Over the past few months this shop has went down hill with smaller portion sizes and cheeper products being sold,,I think I will be going back to the other chippy in the village,,I started going to pepes as there food was good quality and good portions but not any more sorry guys but until you rectify this I will take my business elsewhere,,,Dave.

Piping hot food, quickly served. Scottish fish is delicious. Fritters are a must try. Extensive menu with all the Scottish favourites. Friendly service.
