Pepe's in Warwick

They have no respect for their customers at all. Every time I place a delivery order, I have to wait an hour for my food to be prepared. When I call the delivery driver, they tell me they were informed that the food isn’t ready yet. But on Uber Eats, it says the food is ready for pickup. This is shameful.

The food is good but I don't get food poisoning from restaurants and didn't had one in 3 years till yesterday me and my partner had food poisoning nearly died because of the food we ordered.

Word at all cost please if you want to save money, I was passing by and thought I can try this place most of the peppies are good for food and good rating no wonder this place is empty. My chicken was raw. There’s no meat on the chicken. I will never come back again.

Order from here regularly and each time it's got worse and worse and now there on Uber even worse over an hour for food 3 drivers left without food Food was cold no help from store just put the phone down on me won't be back

I don’t understand the negative reviews. Since this branch has come under new management, the food tastes better and I’d say it’s even better than the Birmingham branch. I also love that they deliver on UberEats. My fiancé and I always look forward to our Pepe’s takeaway.

I had a very bad experience at Pepe’s Peri Peri. I ordered a grilled meal paneer rice box,but they gave me a fried one instead. When I pointed out the mistake and asked them to fix it, the staff were rude and unprofessional. Instead of resolving the issue, they used bad language and treated me poorly. This is unacceptable customer service, and I am extremely unhappy with how I was treated. I will not be returning and do not recommend this place to anyone.

Food was lovely chips was amazing and the sauce only downfall is the chicken was a little dry and chewy would order again but hopefully they don't overcook the chicken next time

Pepes is now under new management & as a result have significantly gone downhill !! When the shop opened its doors under new management, they were dreadful, ignoring customers especially the daughter, very arrogant !! However I have noticed recently that the management are never there, whilst the employees are left to run the shop. The quality of the food is also suffering, last week I ordered a meal for me & my family & all 3 of our chicken burgers had pink coloured meat, when it should have been white !!! I have also experienced the staff handing over an incorrect order over the counter, only realising after I had returned home, only having to return to the shop & having to wait while the mistake is rectified. Finally want to add that I will not be returning to pepes as the owners & their shop is a complete waste of money & time...🤢🤮

Gone downhill in recent years I think! Ordered recently, food was okay. Feta salad used to be really good but this time they didn’t even put any feta on it, so I paid £7 for a box of lettuce 🙃 Wings and burrito are always good though!

If I could give 0 I would. Since change of ownership this place has gone completely down hill. Both me and my partner use this place often however we will not be giving it another chance. Since change of hands we have placed 5 orders, every single order has been wrong and the food warm at best. They don't take any responsibility for missed items and they lie about wait times. No point ordering on the app as Uber Eat drivers now take priority. This place has really been ran into the ground compared to what it used to be. Good customer service is a basic for maintaing good relations and driving a successful business. They obviously don't prioritise this, as long as the order gets out the door, or at least 60% of it, they are happy. Would avoid, customer of 4 years.

I ordered chicken grill burger meal lemon n herbs hot flavour and I waited for 15 20 minutes and they gave me cold burger wasn't my order like someone cancelled the order and they gave it to me not happy

Today was my first experience at Pepe’s Leamington, the service was really damn shit and its costed me 30 mins even with the pre order collection, i paid for the dips but there was no dip in my bag even after waiting so long. I dont Know but dont Trust them if you are going for collections

Honestly the worst food ‘experience’ I’ve ever had. The staff are utterly atrocious. They’re rude and honestly don’t care about customer service at all. We waited 2 hours IN STORE for a takeaway which we genuinely gave the benefit of the doubt fo as it was busy. However they got my order wrong twice and then I got laughed at by the guy behind the counter for trying to complain. Wed been there that long my phone had died so I couldn’t provide the order reference. Went to our car for the phone charged and proved we were in the right to only be given half of our meal. You spoke to us in such a bad manner it’s honestly really upset us. We will never be eating with you again and I will make sure everyone I know doesn’t either. It’s really upsetting as the last owners were so lovely too

Amazing food. BUT their timing is so bad! No matter how early you order, and you get to the place to pick your food on pick up time, they never NEVER never meet the pick up time. IN FACT, they start cooking your ordered food once you are there. This can mean, you can be waiting further 40-60 mins depending on how many people are already waiting. Today, i witnessed another frustrated customer who demanded refund because he didn’t want to wait, and he was refused. So bad! I don’t think i will go there again. Very frustrating as the food is actually pretty good.

This was the first time I visited this place, to begin with guy on till was new and took ages to process the order and needed help from senior. When food arrived after 20 minutes, one of the item was incorrect. Guy on reception was happy to replace. I asked few times to clean the table which they did after multiple reminders. Heating was not working. Things got worst when I went to wash my hands in toilet and one lady who is Chef started following me, she started barking at me in front of my family, she said all the non sense in her local language. Even if she wanted to say something she would have said nicely. I called the shop later and asked for her name manager refused to give her name, manager also refused to disclose his own name as they knew they were wrong. This was so disrespectful and rude! I would like everyone to stay away from this place at all costs. I will also report this to authorities!

I’ve edited this down from 5*. I do like the food from Pepe, but the service is trash. You place your order over phone or app and they always say there is a wait of around a hour. You turn up on time and then they make you wait another 20-30 minutes for the food. Staff don’t give a damn. Nice chicken burgers just aren’t worth this level of crappy service.

Honestly pepes USED to be my favourite spot to eat but since the reopening the downfall needs to be studied. The food is so so bad I’m waiting so long when there is 2 people in the shop. The shops so dry no atmosphere and it’s freezing honestly it’s warmer if u stand outside. Whenever I ask the owner to turn the heating on he nods his head and walks off and still doesn’t turn it on I struggle to communicate with the staff I can’t remember the last time I’ve decided to get food and I’ve actually got everything I ordered. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Placed order for 6:20 came in to collect and after I was waiting at front desk for 15 mins a guy finally spoke to me and just said that they haven’t even started my order and it’s now 6:50 and I have only just received my order While I was waiting to be seen I watched staff use the same brush to based the chicken in its sauce on both cooked and raw meat

The food is down to your taste. A lot of other decent takeaways have opened which offer better menus. The place looks tired with a few tables to eat in. Ok for a takeaway. Parking can be hard to find.

Serving staff have zero charisma and look at you like "how dare you walk in here for actual food" 😮 Slow service also. Food quality isn't bad but this is the sixth different pepes I've visited around the UK and I'd put it near the bottom. Oh and parking is appalling!

I’ve been to Pepes loads and I’ve noticed quite a lot changes after the reopening. Before the reopening of Pepes it was my favourite place to go grab food. The people on the front were always happy and seemed to enjoy working. They were always friendly to customers and it’s sad to see that some of those employees haven’t stayed on and the ones who have stayed on don’t seem to like work as much as they used to. The quality of the food has also went down since opening up again and the time I’ve had to wait for my food is crazy. Whoever that guy on the grill is, he’s doing a terrible job with keeping up with orders. However, the guy on the front has always been super polite and helpful when I’m asking about orders.

This was a wonderful experience the two employees Milan and Rajan were excellent and I would highly recommend to others.

Good food but not as good as other pepes. Abysmal service. My food was ready the whole time but was made to wait for 1 hour. It was just sat there on the table and the staff didn’t check. Went home with cold food and couldn’t get a refund. I get they’re understaffed and busy but pepes need to hire more people then.

Placed an order managed to miss 4 items out of the order managed to catch 3 of them had to go back to get them and unfortunately missed another item while checking the bag.

Last time I came service wasn’t so great but this visit was very different- Was served by a young lady called Milon who provided great customer service. Very polite and friendly!

Don’t answer phone calls give wrong orders - thought Pepes was bad before it closed - even worse after it opened up again. Such a shame with the right owners it would run really well.

This place is actually strange, you have 1 person in the kitchen with about 15 tickets (orders), and then 4 people at the till just looking at the phone with their AirPods in, food takes literally an hour to be ready which I’m not surprised by, 4 people standing at the till with 1 person trying to do all the cooking is so strange. Whoever runs that place needs training to clearly run that place. Staff at the till look so moody as well, every time you order it’s as if you’re the inconvenience there.

30 mins wait which was actually 40 mins, seen my food was ready and put under the light on the side, was sitting there for about 10 minutes before 1 of the staff finally went and got it ready for me, chips were pre made atleast 15 mins before and were cold. One staff was saying 30 minutes on food but was outside on the phone having a smoke and giggle. Yeah this pepes aint the one

Great tasting chicken, average service, terrible atmosphere. This is the sort of place you want to spend as little time and get a takeaway as the inside is quite frankly uninviting. The service is at best underwhelming, with the people working there clearly not interested in doing a good job. However if you are willing to get over all these, the chicken is exceptional. I quite enjoy getting tenders and making my own wraps with their very tasty garlic mayo and other fillings. Probably wouldn’t bother with anything that isn’t their chicken and only get takeaway from here. It’s also relatively cheap.

Paneer advertised as grilled but always deep fried. Every other branch does grilled and it tastes better that way. Please look to changing this.

Extremely worse experience of all the pepes I have eaten in the UK. It was a joke when a lady who is probably their manager told me after waiting 30 mins for my order that there is no free sauce with a whole chicken. The total order amount was for £20. Pepes Coventry which is not far from Leamington gives you one sauce if your minimum order is of £5. I paid extra £2 for the sauces. Poor customer service no greeting or smile and rude behaviour. Avoid if you can!

Depends who serving you and whether the shop is busy or not will determine what kind of service is provided.. For the amount of money you are spending surely you can give one extra tub of sauce.. iv had more good experiences than bad so i will give it 3 star..

Pepe’s has always been my good to place when travelling. Ive had it 3 different places in Birmingham and one store in stoke. Maybe once a week minimum. However this one store has been the worst experience to date for me. They are tight with sauces and charge for a tub of sauce where other give 2 per meal. They also didnt make the order good the tasca was loosely packed and dry. It was cold which made it worse. All in all very very disappointed in this one store.

I normally eat pepes daily almost as i don't have much option in Redditch for halal food,and pepes never disappointed me. It was my first experience in leamington on hight street. It was the worst pepes experience, No customer service waited for 15 minutes for one small order not even meal. After 15 i asked how long and they said 10/15 More. I ended up getting my money back. Its for owner watch your staff ruining your business and brand name.

Poor health and safety and poor customer service, when I asked about the drink over the chips they said what is wrong with that 🙈. Avoid.
