Penton Hook Yacht Club in Runnymede

Sunday lunch was lovely plenty to eat and all cooked very well and not stupid prices like some places charge. Very pleasant staff and very clean, will be back again.

Mark cooks a great steak and chips here and is very friendly and accommodating. The place could do with a bit of updating but the setting and food compensates.

Had lunch today...cannot compliment the waiting staff enough..even Max! Beautiful fresh well cooked food..well done... my fave place as of today x 70's prawn cocktail the best.. followed by sea bass cooked to perfection...great place to dine during covid x

The location is very nice on the Marina and the staff were friendly and pleasant,. We went for Sunday roast and I would describe it as ok but not really value for money at £12.95 , because the quantity of meat was very poor. The portions of vegetables were good but I would expect more than the 2 very thin slices of turkey that I had. We will not be returning.

Great find since buying the boat. It could do with a lot of improvements but the staff are really nice and it is so nice to sit outside by the river.

Had Sunday roast for the first time with a group of friends , absolutely fantastic, really Mark the chef has arrived and certainly can cook , excellent size portions too ! It’s a must , 89 people eat their 3 weeks ago , I say no more but give it a try and you will return !!

Lovely Sunday Roast cooked by the new chef Mark, we were a large party of 14, great view over the marina, reasonably priced. Will definetely have Sunday Roast there again. Friday nights food is also very good, cooked by Janet.

Visited for Mother’s Day family Sunday roast. Really friendly and efficient service and delicious lamb shank. Generous portions and everyone very pleased. Would definitely recommend.

Have dinner there every Friday and Saturday with my husband and friends, new choices have been added to the menu and specials are served every Friday. Am now finding it difficult to choose as everything we eat is excellent. My husband usually has his as a takeaway to take back to our boat. Karen is doing a great job, we love going there, it feels like one big family where everyone talks to each other and has a laugh.

On Saturday 14 boats moored up at the marine.Everyone had food they were satisfied with the food & service.They said they would return again as they totally enjoyed the experience.The staff were friendly & very helpful nothing was to much trouble .Well done everyone.

I came here not long ago with my girlfriend and my god what a fantastic choice to of come here! Staff are so friendly and very welcoming, I ordered the curry and rice and my girlfriend ordered the sausage and mash. Food was cooked to absolute perfection, nothing was to much trouble for all the staff at all. Will defintly be going back there again :)

Karen cooked a lovely chinese chicken curry last night with rice and prawn crackers. Also added 2 new main meals and 4 puddings to the menu. Love the food and atmosphere, great place to make new friends and meet with existing ones

Wow, visited friends from the marina, went to the club house for a beer, absolutely different now Karen has taken over in May 2018, so friendly, atmosphere was brilliant, would highly recommend their gammon! Will definitely visit again , oh and the toilets are spotless!!

This review relates to the Club House/bar/restaurant at the yacht club where my family moor a boat. Visited the club house with my family on Thursday evening. Noticed a great atmosphere and it is run by very down to earth people. Dog friendly. No frills but well priced food menu with food cooked to order. Four of us were there all evening - ate starters, main courses, had three bottles of wine and countless other drinks and the bill was a respectable £94. When I enquired, the establishment is open to the general public as well as for those who have boats in the marina. An enjoyable evening.

Under the management of Karen it is a great place to eat or just have a drink. Food is lovely, staff very friendly. Everyone who eats and drinks there are friendly. Dog friendly. We are always made welcome. Would definitely reccommend

I have been moored at Penton Hook Marina for several years and the Marina is great. Sadly the club is under new management, or I should say mis - management. Everything about the marina is great except for the club. Tried eating there twice., First time over 90 minutes for something that tasted like it had been bought in a corner shop 'used by section, and was frankly disgusting. Second time even worse and even my dog would not eat it. I was even told off for giving it to my dog which was slightly annoying as it certainly was not fit for human consumption. The new owners do not seem to have high standards and are not providing a quality service. Be aware this is not the same management as before and standards and service are now very, very low.

We visited on two occasions in August 2017 and both times were served by Courtney who was friendly and welcoming. On the second visit Courtney remembered us and as it was my husbands birthday made the visit all the more special for us by her kind attention. The food is excellent value for money and the service was superb. On previous visits to the Penton Hook Marina where this restaurant is situated, the restaurant was closed to non-members. Having the restaurant open to non-members in my opinion has given a boost to the marina and we will now always call in on our visits up the Thames. If you like boats ask for a window seat.

Recently new to the area we decided to go and have a drink at the Marina. We were met by several welcome's by passers by and entered inside. The club itself is dated in terms of decor but this would be my only gripe. The bar staff are so friendly and that includes members too. Outside the views over the River Thames and Marina are beautiful.
