Lively atmosphere with a pleasant welcome. Everything you would need in a pub, good service, great selection of beers, plenty of TV screens, dog and wheelchair accessible and a beautiful courtyard.

Lovely spot to enjoy some food and drinks at. It has lovely outside area as well but I enjoyed the cosy fireplace inside.;) The young lady that served me was super nice (sorry I didn’t ask your name). The Penny plant burger was yummy - the chutney adds a nice twist to it! It had really nice atmosphere and was quite lively on a Monday afternoon! Thank you for a lovely experience after a long day!

I came into the Penny Black on Friday. The atmosphere was great and I have to say that the 3 members of staff behind the bear (Izzy Ned and saffron) were a great laugh and were really helpful! Will be coming again!

We popped in for lunch. Beer was lovely, and the food was great. The full English is probably the best I've ever tasted. It want greasy, and every part of it tasted well cooked and not too greasy at all. Perfect

Lovely environment with lovely staff. Food is absolutely beautiful too having tried both the sausages and mash and the haddock and chips.

What a little gem hidden right in the heart of good ol' town, Leatherhead. Booked for Boxing day and got to taste the very true pub food, every company its trying to accomplish. This place takes the crown !!! Chefs have cooked up the best menu and haven't tasted a such full of flavour food in years !! The guys "on the front lines" have demonstrated perfect service and attendance to their patrons. 1000/10 no more to say than that I hope they will get at least a bonus for the excellent work they done !!

I recently visited Penny Black, and I was thoroughly impressed! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it the perfect spot to unwind. The staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed. The selection of drinks was fantastic, and the food was delicious—definitely a must-try! I can't recommend Penny Black enough for a great night out!

Went in to this pub today for the first time and it was amazing. Staff were great, Flo, Anthony and Matt were so attentive and served us at the table even whilst busy, the burger was amazing. We will definitely be going back

Another great experience. Went for Sunday roast recommended to upgrade to the Sunday sharer, wasn’t disappointed absolutely brilliant and will worth the money. Staff were excellent, whether it was management or not service was at the same excellent level.

Staff are friendly, pints are quite pricey but you pay for what you get, show live sport aswell

Staff seem a but preoccupied with their own conversations or checking their phones. A manager appeared to just be walking around most of the time, talking on her phone and vaping outside. Food and drink was good, but service and cleanliness could easily be upped a notch.

Went to watch a Euro game. Place was packed and had to stand all the way through. Great atmosphere

First time visit today - lovely Sunday roast (veggie), came out nice and hot, staff were friendly! Football was on but we still managed to have a catch up without it bring too noisy at all. Recommend

We came in for Mothers Day 2024 and I’m sorry to say that we were disappointed. It wasn’t at all busy when we arrived, although it picked up a little later and perhaps that should have been a sign. We had booked based on other Google reviews so maybe something has changed recently. Despite it being the busiest day at most food serving establishments, the kitchen were not at all prepared. No vegan roast dinners had been prepared the night before as they should have been and so I had to order something else or wait an undefined length of time. I was given the option to have a vegan roast with 2 plant burgers instead, which I accepted. My mums roast arrived first but she had no cutlery to start while we waited for our meals which took a little longer. When my vegan meal came (despite me clarifying ahead of time that all accompaniments were vegan) it came with a Yorkshire pudding. I was told this was vegan before asking them to double check and it turns out it wasn’t. I was also only given one burger and so without the Yorkshire (which I gave to my brother rather than waste) I had rather a lacking meal. On the plus side, my mum enjoyed her roast and my brother enjoyed his sausages. The staff were kind and friendly but unfortunately perhaps lacking knowledge in some areas. We were brought over the wrong bottle of wine, had no cutlery to start, some condiments requested were not given and the one dessert ordered took about 20 minutes to arrive. It was a real shame as we don’t get together outside of the house much and my mum is a huge fan of Mothers Day celebrations.

Great evening out, no complaints - would come back! The apple & pear crumble was particularly tasty and a really generous portion.

We tried the Nachos and the cheesy chips. Both tasty although the chips were a little too salty. My son found the double patty burger and found the pink onion a little overpowering. Great service and nice atmosphere.

Me and my son popped by to watch the Chelsea match, we was greeted as we walked in and then served quite promptly at the bar, the place was busy with people on a Saturday evening but the manager Anthony was great and managed to get us a table so we stayed for some food both having a burger got to say one of the nicest I’ve had in a while, great beer selection great atmosphere all round a decent boozer!! Also don’t let me forget the staff all very tentative and made sure everything was ok! Thank you guys!!

Great Vegan sunday lunch we try a different Pub every sunday for Lunch and this is up there with the best at reasonable prices - great service as well - Tip Large !!!

Food was phenomenal and clearly a popular place. It was a little too expensive for my liking as the place did give off a chain pub vibe and our server was working on his uni work 🙃 but I really did enjoy my visit and would go again!

Great burgers but lacking massively in the drinks department. I wanted a bloody Mary, but they had no Worcestershire sauce ! and then I asked for a bottle of champagne and they didn't have of that either but said I could have the one that was in the chiller being a different brand for £15 more and it wasn't even on the wine list. They should have honoured this bottle at the list price but wouldn't.

Nice pub with good service and surprisingly good food. Quite a few people were watching football and the sound was a bit too loud, but it didn't bother us. Outside area looked nice too. There is no parking, but there is a car park down the road.

Ridiculously expensive in here. Band that played on the first Saturday of December really good. Mini fight broke out, so it was an eventful evening
