Going downhill unfortunately, used to be our favourite chip shop, got expensive and food not the best now, worst of all they're never open! Lovely staff when they're there though.

It is never open I've just been there as it say it's open online but it is closed they just pick and choose when they want to open

Prices are a little bit cheap but are compensated by the portion. Nice atmosphere and saw the 5 star hygiene rating, which is nice as the last chippy I went to didn't even have one. Food is never wrong, but they forgot 1/2 things which is expected as they were a little busy at the moment. Overall, solid 4.5.

We have lived in pelsall for 3 years and this is the first time we’ve had nice food, the staff where heart warming too and they will be sincerely missed and we’ll never forget them

Food tasted stail and cold kebab meat was like cardboard chip's where like bullets and expensive if you're reading this then take my advice and don't bother

Best chips in town!! Both in quality and quantity. Got the Large Bag for £4.20 and they were absolutely delicious. Reading another customer’s review about the portion size, makes me wonder! This is definitely big enough, not for 1-2 people as mentioned, and to be fair, it doesn’t say anywhere in the shop that the large chips feed 4 people! So please human, before you post anything, think twice, because you can harm a business with your unfairness. This chippy is lovely, never had before the quality of food we get from there! Keep going strong Pelsall people, you deserve it!

Won’t be going here again! Popped in for a bag of chips, asked for a large bag of chips, charged £4.20 and the portion was more like a cone of chips! Extortionate and poor size! A large bag should feed a family of 4 in my eyes, not 1-2 people. I have put this on Facebook too so the people of pelsall know! Absolutely disgusting! £4.20 for 3 spuds !

Good food, recently taken over by new people who are really nice. Some good variety on the menu including greek specialties.

Visited for the first time today, my chips were freshly cooked and very delicious. The menu looked fantastic, everything was very clean and the staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be coming back and can't wait to try the Meze share meal!

Food was terrible cold greesy left us with bad stomach and very expensive

I'm sure the standard chip shop stuff is great, but we tried the Greek Meze and absolutely loved it and great value too. We will be back!

Absolutely amazing!!! Food is fresh tasty and highly recommended, if you like a takeaway Greek this is your place…..kebab in pitter over spills with fresh tasty meat and salad is crisp and fresh, Greek pitta with halloumi and tzatziki with salad is my favourite. Also try the oregano chips!! 😋😋

Heard excellent things about the Greek menu so tried to order some food tonight. Website won't let us checkout and they don't answer the phone!

I understand this is under new management. Came in here with baby to pick up some lunch for a stressed mum and dad. I received such a warm welcome and the food was so fresh and delicious. Even carried the food to the car for me. This will be the best fish bar in the area very quickly if it continues like this. Looking forward to trying the Greek menu too.

A welcoming place,with tasty fish and chips. Was nice to have very good fish here,best I have tasted anywhere for quite a while. Look forward to visiting again for more.

Consistently slow service, smaller portions and higher prices. The food is good though and the staff are nice but the value of it has significantly gone down as of late sadly.

If you haven’t tried it then please do absolutely first class food and amazing family highly recommended you will not be disappointed

Under the new managment, Pelsall fish bar offers a great variety of Greek food and fish & chips. This legendary meze box for 2, for just £15.50. Great quality and quantity. Service was great as well!

Under new ownership, first day today, lovely family business, fish and chips were superb, kebabs, Greek options look great.

The tinned roe was lovely. Good size & cooked fresh. The chips however were awful. I had plain chips. Hard, dry & obviously left in the warmer for quite a while. Chippy isn't as good any more in my opinion.

Chips soggy and cold, and the pie had been there all day pastry hard and chewy

Ordered on their app told it would arrive at a certain time, said time came and went and wasn’t much help over the phone. Took over 2 hours for food to arrive and the quality of the food has gone right downhill since it has been took over. This used to be a really good chippy and good value also, now the service is slow, food is greasy and staff are rude and unhelpful. Won’t be going here again!

First time ordering since new management but was defintly not disappointed. Fish was thick and flackey in a thin crisp batter. 😋 Will be back soon for more.

Looks nice to the naked eye. But when you’re halfway through eating your meal, you realise that the meat is really cheap and nasty and not nice at all also it is very overpriced. Be warned

I’ve used this chippy for donkeys years and the foods was always lovely…. Since it’s been taken over it’s gone down hill …. ☹️ All you can taste is vile cooking oil…. Chips are horrible, our last few orders have been disappointing, so sorry to say this but I won’t be returning !!!…

Couldn’t find my house though it has been same place for 9 years. Food cold Put in the bin.

Used to love it, great value and quality fish, but this last month the prices have increased by around 50% - and less choice, I think it might be different owners, I was a regular but will find somewhere else now.

Haven’t got a problem with prices going up with the way things are at the minute, But when you have to watch your food get wrapped up to make sure your order is right and that items aren’t missing is a joke come on guys you’ve got to do better. To top it off a few rude members of staff, place is going down hill?!!

Used to be ok ordering through the app but today the prices have gone through the roof £8 for a cod thats without delivery and chips, mixed meat in a naan £8.30 ? i know things have gone up but other chip shops are more competitive on price, sorry pelsall thats me done i will delete the app.

Well love the food here it's great but just found out they have stopped doing Southern fried chicken so looks like I'll be finding a new chippy which is why 2 stars

Order through their app weekly, tonight I waited 2hrs for the food to arrive stone cold and horrible. Had problems waiting a long time the last couple of times I’ve ordered which hasn’t really been an issue, but really not impressed with ice cold food after waiting 2hrs. I won’t be using them again. It’s a shame as was one of the best in the area but gone downhill recently, maybe taking too many orders on or cutting back on staff, but I won’t be using them again.

Service was really slow one of the pieces of fish was mostly hard batter and little fish since andraus left its always hit and miss enough is enough we will go elsewhere areal shame

This place used to be brilliant but has really gone down hill over the last few months. Our last order failed to show up at all and ended up being refunded. We gave it another go tonight and it was just as bad. We were given an hours wait. Called after an hour and was told it was minutes away. It arrived another 35minutes later!! Awful, awful service. Either our food was riding around for 35mins or the information on the previous call was a lie. Either way we are done and will not be returning. I think the problem is they are taking too many orders on and just can’t deliver. Shame.

Good food as usual only issue is when we order between 5.30 till 6 it arrived at 5 ,the last twice it arrived earlier than ordered , I was arrived from work at 530 and had to microwave them to warm up , please keep to the times requested and it will be perfect

Again the staff forget part of my order which meant we had to go back. This happens on a regular basis . I even asked the staff to double check my order & l was told everything was there. When my husband went back the staff rolled their eyes like we’d done something wrong. Wouldn’t use them again

Ordered via just eat this evening 2 mini cod and chips with mushy peas 2 chicken breast Total £26.50 The price didn't bother me, it was the food that was delivered. It wasn't cod, it wasn't chicken breast ( chicken legs) called the restaurant and was put on to the owner, his response " well don't order from us again " and he hung up. Disgusting food, Rude, bad mannered Proprietor.!!!

Used to be good but just lately they do not listen to the order placed via telephone and end up with order completely wrong but reckon it's changed hands again !!

Disgusting service rude staff ordered through just eat delivery was over 50 minutes late no communication when did arrive was missing peas and curry sauce called shop and was spoken to abruptly and told driver should have told me no its up to you not delivery driver been told will send next time just put note in comments won't need 2 not ordering from here again was once a gr8 chippy now a disgraceful shop that doesn't deserve customers

Fairly good, just a massive wait due to deliverys. Can be 1st person in and still wait 15 minw before order. Food really good tho, staff freindly

Ordered through just eat and WOW!!!!!! The best fish and chips I've had in years! Love the food coming in a box, stops it getting cold, mushy and greasy but more then that, portion size was great and the chips fluffy as can be! There are some great chippies in Birmingham but, for Walsall where I now live.... Utterly the BEST chippy and it now has a new loyal customer!

First time of ordering after recommendation from my sister in law from Bradford rd Brownhills, she sends weekly photo's of food that they have had lol So we ordered tonight, and we were surprised by the quality and service, it was absolutely lovely, well done guy's this will be the first of many orders

First time ordering from here and definitely the last. Total waiting time of 2 hours for delivery. When the food arrived there was a hair in the food, in addition to this the chips were raw. So the food was left uneaten after 2 hours of waiting. After calling the chip shop to advise them what had happened the response was that they would let us order food of the same value again but after having hair in the first order this was definitely not an option as it would not have been eaten by anyone. After speaking with a member of staff who advised sometimes hair gets into the food which was not very good. Absolutely disgusting. No other words.

Great Service, I was served by a girl called Bonnie, it was written on the receipt, such a lovely polite girl. Food was fantastic, presented and wrapped perfectly. Will definitely be coming in again 💯

Chips and salad were very fresh but not as impressed with the Mediterranean chicken meat as much as last time. May be because it was near to closing time?

Myself and husband think these are the best chips around an my husband is very particular. Always have them delivered by friendly Tanya and other lovely staff members. Meals arrive piping hot and fresh. Can’t fault the quality of Pelsall fish bar.

Ordered food from here and it arrived within an hour as stated. Unfortunately the order was wrong but upon calling and discussing this with the manager, an agreement was settled between the two of us and the order was rectified and dilivered within 10 minutes. Excellent customer service and excellent food delivered by very friendly and polite young ladies. We highly recommend this establishment for their food and staff and will definitely order from here again. Thanks to everyone.
