Everything was great and the place is really nice inside.

Maurice the manager, absolute star with accommodating me and my family. Very hospitable when we were sitting outside asking us if our food was okay and if we needed any drinks. Food was great! We'll be back for sure. Thank you to the rest of the staff at The Bell too!

Food was lovely. Staff were great . Food came out quickly. The steak deal 2 for £18 is really good. Steak came out to a very high standard and the crunchy onion fries were lovely

Car park sends you a £100 fine if you don't put your registration into a tablet inside the pub. Staff don't even mention it so if you don't see it you get a fine. Terrible service

went to the bell last sunday and food was really nice and a waitress millie was really attentive. we will definitely be returning

Food was good, had to wait quite a while although the place was not very busy. Young man waiting on meals very polite, staff not enough of them all very busy not having time to make a customer feel valued. Friendliness has declined.

The food was good and the staff was friendly and is a nice place inside. But they send me a 60 pound for parking there. And I had to appeal it but you should not have to pay for parking to go out.

It was std pub grub, no soup??? But the two young male staff were helpful and polite, but the pub was empty and totally lacking in atmosphere

Great pub. Friendly bar staff, a good selection of ales and tasty food. My go-to place for a pint after work or for a meal when I don't feel like cooking.

I had pre booked a table and we arrived on time and the table was readily available. After initially ordering drinks at the bar, we browsed the menu and the ordered the meals. As at that time it was not overly busy, the food arrived in a acceptable time. The food was prepared to order and was enjoyable.

We were shown to our table immediately and the staff were really friendly. It was really busy but the staff coped well. The food was excellent as it always is. My friends and I visit the Bell regulary for the good food, which is brilliant value for money.

Terrible, food took over an hour and came out cold. Not told a wait on food, others food came after ours and we ordered first. Will not return and wont be recommending.

Can I get a managers name and contact number please. My daughter came to the pub for the first time in June this year and has now received a £170 parking fine. This was the first time out in month after an illness, not a great experience.

I had a mixed grill, i was not pleased. The meat was really cheap, chicken tasted synthetic my son loves chicken and he didnt eat much said it tastes weird, all i can say is my dog had a better feast then we did other then meat it was ok, we had christmas dinner here 4 years ago that was nice as i remember great place great staff nice desert really recommend a new food supplier or fresh meat to make the place great for food Service great. Wont eat here again though sorry.

Great food, good service, good atmosphere, good parking, toilets 🚻 are upstairs but there is a disabled ♿ toilet downstairs, could do with providing a written gluten free menu, overall good pub lunch

Worst drinks menu I've come across for a while. The red wines were not to my taste; the menu does not advise if any are vegan and the staff were none the wiser. The service was average, there was one half decent lager, spirits did not look inviting and the cocktail menu lacked anything that was not laden with fruit juices etc. The toilets were clean although the toilet roll was just that, not on/in any holder.

We had a lovely evening at The Bell tonight, we ordered calamari to start, ‘the posh fish and chips’ and the ‘cheese and bacon burger’ for our mains. The food was amazing and so was the service. Our server Jake was really attentive and helpful, he offered us additional sauces and asked if we needed more drinks, he made our night! Thank you! 😊

The Bell has a brilliant cheap and cheerful menu standards are above traditional pub chain food. Layout is really good, it doesn't feel like everyone is on top of you. We did have to wait an hour after our mains for dessert but we didn't mind, the wingman IPA was going down well. Thank you to the blonde bar lady from evening time yesterday, exceptionally helpful, and seemed to do everything with a bit of love and passion from what I noticed 🙂

A little noisy today but the fact they were busy didn't impact on the service. Food truly excellent.

The food was nice, they specifically made a lunch for my daughter. The service was OK. The music was far too loud for a Sunday lunch, and the tables were dirty. Besides those points it was a good experience. We particularly liked the carpark. The bell was dog friendly. However, on the negative side, the celling had a few stains throughout the pub. Overall a nice welcoming pub 4/5.

Was a wonderful morning to spend and have lovely meal on my birthday 🎂. Music in background was a treat. Has I haven't been able to go out for a meal like this for ages my health is limiting me at times.

Had a lasagne there a few days ago. Tasted fine bit the top part it was stone cold. The place is nice and the staff are friendly.

Visited 28.08.2024. Food was good as always. We visit quite often although it is a car journey away. Wish we had a pub like this as our local. Staff always helpful and pleasant.

I would give a 0 if i could, went in there for one drink lasting 20 minutes cost me £100 fine. I didn’t see you had to pay to park for a drink - and the staff didn’t say anything. What a joke! No wonder the place was dead

Jake was very courteous, polite and dealt with our big group with excellent service.

Excellent food could not fault it. Sadly, the customer service at the bar was very disappointing. My partner found that staff were not very engaging and quite rude at times. It was almost like it was an effort to take our order for food... not interested and blazy towards him. Although it was busy last night, I know that good customer service is vital in this industry to get people to return time and time again. It's only a shame that this wasn't displayed last night. With that in mind it's very unlikely that we will be returning

Myself & my friend went to the Bell a few days ago.we absolutely love going there for a meal.the staff are excellent so helpfull & very friendly.the food was delicious. Will certainly recommend going a fabulous choice of meals at good price & good value for money

Aiden is fabulous. He always ensures that when we come his service is 10/10. He deserves a promotion!!!

Food and atmosphere was good. Service was poor. Double booked the table and we got moved after we had ordered food. Then tried to our food to people who were sat at our original. Charged us for both ours and other customers sat at the original table and served dessert without a spoon. No apology was given.

My dad visited from Australia, so we all booked here for lunch. It was really nice. The staff were lovely. We were all actually made to feel welcome. I would definitely book here again to see if the service given is standard... I'm not sure how much was spent as Dad settled the bill... but as usually he always likes to tip its standard for him,and I am not sure which member(s) of staff got a tipped but they must have impressed him. We all had varied food choices.

Today I thought I would treat myself and my dogs, so decided to walk to the 1 3/4 miles to the Longhorn when I got there I was told there was a 2 hour wait on food so decided to walk as fast as I could to walk back to the Bell Inn I a hope I would be there in time for some dinner. I got to the Bell to find I was in time. (phew) I was served by Adien and Rhi at the bar who were really friendly and professional. They also gave my 2 boys (dogs) a bowl of water. I ordered my meal at the same time. I sat down and a few minutes later my meal was brought out by Rosie who was really nice and friendly. My dinner was really nice, I had the Tandoori chicken skewers which was cooked to perfection by Max. Love that I can take my boys (doggies) Staff are fab Thanks for a nice evening 😊

Absolutely loved my vegan tomato and roasted pepper soup! Also the vegan iced latte with vanilla was quite yummy. I didn't quite like the vegan wellington but that was more of my own preference than anything on their end. Staff was friendly and attentive. Just thought their music was a little to loud for a lunch but I am autistic.

Very nice place to drink and eat. but the service can be terrible when busy. Not enough staff!!

Waited 90mins for food, told several times food was on its way but it never came! Cancelled order in the end, other dinners cancelling had been waiting for over 2hours. It was utter chaos!!!

Highly recommended. Staff are friendly and always have a smile and are very attentive. Food is super. I'd recommend the posh fish and chips. Have yet to try the Sunday roast. Enjoy 😃.

Had chicken pie and vegetables. Needed hammer and chisel to get into pie, veg were completely inedible . Offered free pudding as compensation, came stone cold and had to request another one. Won't be going there again!

Booked for 7 people for a celebration. Starters were okay but waited upwards of an hour for mains which included a cremated steak, which was sent back but never returned, and multiple burned burger buns. Steak was cancelled by us after waiting 20 mins and others finishing their meal. We then had to ask for our desserts, which were also not very nice: brownie and sticky toffee pudding very stodgy, and Eton mess consisting of just ice cream and sauce. We then asked for our bill to be remedied, but after waiting 45 minutes for our bill, we had to go up to the bar. The shift supervisor Maurice was able to comp our bill 50%, which was acceptable. Complete failure by senior management for being so understaffed including a new starter, and kitchen must have been in a state. Well done to Maurice, Aiden and Ellie for standing up to the test of the day including verbal abuse, but it was clearly just way too busy for those staff. Edit - thanks for helpful reply 👍

To start, Big big shout out to Maurice, Ellie and Aiden, that all helped us on our visit for my brother's and his girlfriends graduation. It was Ellie's first shift and did amazingly under the circumstances of how busy it was. Aiden also helped us on the bar to fix any issues due to it being busy and Maurice apologised profusely and gave me a drink for helping out with the plates and glasses. Very good job due to how extremely busy it was.

The food at the bell is quite good. New menu so prices have gone up. This was our second visit ordering best of both for dessert. Which is a coffee and mini dessert. Both times the dessert came but we had to ask continuously, different members of staff for coffees. Running out of patience.

We have been going for years, but with a new manager Adam it has been excellent. George is also very pleasant and helpful, and Colin is really good behind the bar. The meals are generous and hot. We will return either for meals, or just a drink from time to time, thanks! For anyone reading this do not forget to put in your registration number on the tablet inside the pub if you are using the car park! We returned a lot and have found it good. Adam and the team keep.it good!

Great night at the bell, staff always great

Me and my family went to the bell on sunday (with dogs) We were blown away by the quality of food, especially the slow cooked beef rib. Fantastic food great service, brilliant atmosphere and lovely staff We are definitely going again ❤️

Fab pub and delicious food, friendly and helpful staff and the pub is dog friendly which is a bonus.

Food left and awful lot to be desired. Luke warm at best. Chips hard and undercooked. Ice cream sundae was runny and soggy. Will not be rushing back

Just wanted say how great the service was from Danny on Sunday evening, his service was excellent 😊

Nice enough interior but the scampi and chips & Fish and chips took 45 mins to come out and the chips portion was poor for both. We also ordered at 12:30 so right at the start for when they were accepting orders. That should have been a quick meal and they weren’t great so overall pretty disappointing and when I went up to the bar to ask/ say something, there was a huge queue so no chance of giving them feedback live. Don’t bother stopping especially if you’re on a tight schedule.

Beer battered fish tasted like frozen fish and definitely not beer battered. Thick cut gammon steak, not sure where you got the truck cut bit from, it was approx 2- 3mm thick, dry , and tough. The ultimate burger was anything but, it was dry chewy and no onion frys, which they did say but no alternative suggested, all the meals were very sparse compared to past visits and not very enjoyable at all. We waited over 40 minutes from the starters for the main meals. The starters were ok, nothing special.

It was a birthday celebration and I received a 25% off drinks so I decided to book a meal as well ☹️ we booked for 4:00pm and waited until 4:50 before our meal arrived. The pub wasn’t that busy on the day. The chips were very dry and cold and we were served less than a teaspoon of mashed peas with the fish. We ordered two steaks one which was edible and the other full of gristle. Very disappointed as we have dined here many times when it has been very busy and have received far better food. Not sure that we will be frequenting this place any time soon. ☹️ Very disappointing ☹️
