The Broadway Bar & Grill in Walsall

We went to that place on my relatives birthday get together. On the entrance I put my car number plate on n the system. But after few weeks I received a parking ticket. I called three times to the broadway bar to sort it. Every time I rang they said manager is not here call tomorrow. Not bother anymore. Be careful.

The food is good and the Indo-Chinese cuisine can be such a delicious blend of flavours—spicy, tangy, and full of taste!

Food has been very good last few visits, especially the grills.

Overall decent food, but the lamb chops have sometimes been tough.

Food was terrible, seriously gone down hill, service wasn't great either, brought wrong dishes etc.By 10pm it was a ghost town

Not a very safe place to have food at.

This is more of a 3.5 than just a 3. As I've been here a couple of times and the food is inconsistent. Sometimes it's lushious other times it bland and average. Order drinks at the bar and food at the kitchen counter. The lady at the bar wouldn't check on our food yet it ended up being the same lady who brought it out. There's a function room downstairs you can hire and if you use the parking outside then be sure to put your reg in the machine at the bar. There's also a pool table which is a nice distraction. As food can take a while at times. Good amount of vegetarian choices too. Once we reserved a table and neither the bar or the kitchen knew anything about it but we were lucky enough to find space. It's get pretty loud in here with the music louder than just ambient sound and everyone trying to talk over it all. Not pricey but wouldn't say it's cheap. If you get the food chef, then it's worth the price. Hope you have the good chef when you go. Enjoy.

Ordered takeaway. Item purchased : special wrap (consisting of seekh kebab and chicken tikka) Item wrapped extremely well. Yogurt mint sauce given as a dip. The wrap is made with naan bread and was nice and soft. My main issue is that when biting into the wrap, I hardly got any meat. It was mostly onions, peppers with lots of spicy sauce etc.i was expecting to find peices of chicken I could chew and seekh kebab chunks. In fact the quality of the meat was similar to that you would find at a chip shop.

Food is alright, order at the counter and they bring it to your table but no one told that for 5 mins. Found it a bit too noisy.

Great place to chill and have a drink or go into the very large restaurant and have yourself an excellent meal 👍👍

Service good food came out quickly. Ordered 1 mixed grill to share superb. We had 3 mains, rice and 2 different naans to share again couldn't fault them. Didn't finish all the food but was able to take home in doggy bag so nothing left. Have already reccomended to family. Thank you for a lovelly experience.

Had a 18th birthday meal for a party of 28, lady behind the bar provided exceptional service, even put some table cloths/balloons and confetti out prior to arrival. Chef cooked all the meals to a high standard. Very large order of mains etc and no one in the party was left waiting for food whilst other were eating. All in all a very enjoyable day.

If I could put zero reviews I would bar staff was to busy speaking with locals about life was left at bar 15 mins I had to ask for help on our booking, Same when my partner went to the bar she came back took that long her food was cold staff talking about college with locals, Food well we are both stuck on the toilet this morning kids refused to eat we left most of it, Nan was all dry chips over cooked curry was very salty and they all looked the same will never be going there again and my i advise to others stay away and go to basmati restaurant up the road its far fat better service and food

I am writing this review regarding the manager's attitude we spent a lot of money in the place and we put our number plate in when we walk in For some reason they issued us a ticket £100 fine ! That night we spent £200 pounds in there for food and bar aswell! The manager said he can't cancel the parking ticket yet they are in charge And it is there car park !!! I know why they don't want to Cancel the ticket for the parking because they make money out of it !!! That's what they call customer service look after your customer I recommend to people do not go there do not respect their customers!

Just got to warn anyone off going here. Me & a mate went there last week, registered our parking & yet have BOTH been hit with £100 parking fines. Not worth the risk of heading here in your own vehicle.

Great kebab before a match at Walsall would definitely recommend.

Came here Sat night to get a takeaway..! First impressions are wow 😍..plenty of seating and TVs on walls to watch the footy whilst drinking beers and eating food..! Decent setup..! Definitely recommend it..! Food was really nice.. We ordered a selection of items from the menu which were nicely cooked and very tasty..! Vegetarian dishes were also tasty (from what I was told 😅). Didn't take long to get the food.. But we didn't mind as we grabbed a pint 👌..! The chap came over to advise the food was ready. Overall I would definitely recommend if you can fancy an Indian 👍..!

Food is absolutely amazing. The restaurant itself is in a dire need of modernizing not only in decor but also the waiting staff. If you can look past that and just require good food then you'll like it here. The grill is tacked on to the bar so you need to buy drinks at the bar and carry it back to your table.

The pub was very dry one of the owners was smoking weed outside and then serving very slow and incorrect orders, the food is very standard and expensive , Bradford arms is much better, and make sure you sign your number plate in because the clowns don’t tell you to as other pub staff do.

Ordered a takeaway mixed grill, they excluded the fish pakora. This has happened twice. Asked for additional sauce to be told it’s an extra 50p after ordering nearly £30 worth of food. Won’t bother again

Food was dead, re heated keema, all food was salty and never is food left when we finish, lots of tables left with half eaten food, if your charging premium then at least try and serve decent food

Just phone Broadway Bar&Grill for Delivery which they Advertise on the Internet. Only to be told they Don't Deliver. Is there a problem there how they can Advertise Delivery when they don't Deliver. Is there a problem with Advertising? I run a business if I did that my Customers could report me for fault Advertising. So how can this place get away with this. ????

We only stopped off for a drink, not many people about as it was early afternoon. Looked at the menu which seemed okay will visit again and try some food.

The food is very good, the service is very nice, but I run away quite quickly because it is very loud. It depends on the day but Saturday, a lot of people and loud music. But if someone likes loud music and good food, I recommend this place.

I have a sparking charge notice I went there with my family for the food then the week after I have a letter from ocean parking I wasn't very happy a bout it

Proper old school desi mixed grill pub, loved the food, was very fresh and great amount of spice to it. Does get busy so book ahead.

Gorgeous food , would recommend the mixed grill and a lamb clay pot curry , I went with friends and was a great experience with friendly staff , safely say best Indian food I hsve ever had, great portion sizes , boxed the rest up and took it home and had s feast for one, the next day , AMAZING !!!!!!!

Family-friendly and excellent food.

Place is nice, clean and modern. Mostly self service with ordering, but they do bring your food to you. Food was just okay. Drinks were decent. The mixed grill you see in the pics was 20£. Friends have said their curries are good, and the prices for them aren't bad. I don't think I'd come here again cuz the food wasn't to my liking, and there isn't much of an atmosphere.

Group of 10 and we went for an Indian mixed grill had quite a few pf thr various starters. The food was delicious and the portions were generous. We were all too full for curries but were not disappointed and felt that the food was reasonably priced. 100% recommend.

Food is amazing! We travel down from Scotland for a judo competition and always look forward to our meals here afterwards. Its always piping hot and fresh plus the best part Is they have containers so you can take any left overs home. Portions are very generous and very well priced. This is by far my favourite Indian. Can't wait till the next time we are down

Been coming here for years but tried chilli paneer & it was very tough & way too much salt!! NOT edible- told manager & he didn’t do a thing to rectify it - EXTREMELY BAD SERVICE! If this is how they treat a long standing customer then I wouldn’t try it for a first time experience!!! VERY DISAPPOINTED!!! Definitely will not eat here again.

It's OK what can I say. The main seating area feel unpersonalised with tables close to each other. Sometimes hard to distinguish if one group of ppl are part of one big group.Service at busy times is non existence. Food is OK nothing to rave home about.

Have visited this venue a couple of times now, most recently on Boxing day as we wanted to watch a Premier League match that was on. The place was VERY busy, but the staff were super efficient and friendly and drinks from the bar - and food ordered from the menu - were all served in a reasonable time. The seating areas all have multiple TV screens and no matter where you're sitting, you will always have a clear view of the game. Food was delicious and prices were pretty fair. A nice place to bring the family for a meal - highly recommended.

Excellent food, very busy on a Saturday night so took a long time, but the food was with the wait.

Came for a World Cup game and bit of food. 20 odd TVS but only showing footy on 2 TVs, apparently they could not change the channel on the other TVs , technical glitch. Left straight away, didn't meet my expectations of a sports bar.

food was good but not worth the 1.5 hour wait. Disappointed.

We've always enjoyed the bar and grill, it's quieter on a week night than a weekend, but that's expected, better to book for the weekend. Reasonably priced given the cost increases of supplies recently and the portions are sufficient. What you see in the photo was for three people, would easily feed more depending on your appetite, and if not they supply the take away boxes so you can enjoy your food another day. The only thing I would say, is sometimes, not all food comes out at the same time, so you either tuck in or wait and risk other food being cold.

Was a nice afternoon meal place was quiet football was on but no real atmosphere in the place but if your looking for something to eat then I can recommend the mixed grill

Rubbish food, too much food colouring and too much that e product in the chilli paneer, horrible smell in the and when we got home in our clothes. My advice is never to go there.

Food was ok didntvlike the lamb curry hardy any meat rest of the meal was good We reserved a tablet when we arrived there was empty glasses on there staff didn't removed them my husband had to we eaten here on many occasions Not like it was extremely busy kids enjoyed it so that's a plus

Food was good but very delayed in bringing the food out, we were starving by the time we got it after making requests to get it out. When it came eventually though it was very nice

Don’t bother going here staff have no manners I turned up asked if any tables was free because they all had reserved on they he said yes that and pointed the one over there i said are you going to remove the glasses and clean it 10 mins later i had to ask them to move the glasses and clean the table again and still didn’t clean it also don’t have any chicken tikka it tastes like fairy liquid not nice at all

Tried this place yesterday and after waiting 40 mins for the food arrive and we were sadly dissapointed the currys were warm and the chilli chips were dissapointment i was wondering if we get any chips with the sauce dumped all over it inedible and horrible

Reliably good Indian food for decent prices. Never dined in but has take out a lot. Usual wait times are 25 mins. Good selection of vegetarian dishes.

Love the food here. Today I tried the chicken claypot and it was the best I've tried anywhere hands down!

Came here yesterday for the first time, really enjoyed the food, however the security guard made me and my family feel really unwelcome. He was spending his entire shift telling off my 1 year old and 3 year old. I asked what is problem was, i said is your job to stop fights not to hound a family trying to eat a meal. Couldn't understand a word he was banging on about. Really spoilt the evening, as I say food was really good Will never return

Tried this place tonight and the 2 curries I brought (me and the wife ) were absolutely superb . The food was full of flavour and perfectly spiced . I go to a lot of desi pubs but this is one of my new favorite, yes the outside does look run down/rough but the food/cobra and staff were spot on .

To put it on the same level the staff are very approachable and are happy to serve you, the venue as large screens so you can sit back and view the various sport broadcasts and if you feel you need a bite to eat they offer the normal pub snacks but if you require something more substantial they offer a variety of Indian cuisine which is outstanding, eat in or take away. So give if a try, I did and I'm hooked.

Good for Sunday early dinner which is reasonably priced .

Always loved this place for my tikka curry, egg fried rice & cheese naan...but the last 2 times ive had it & the last being last night the naan bread is absolutey disgusting its was burnt & all brown & couldnt taste no cheese just burn. The naans have always been lovely thick & loaded with cheese & never burnt or brown. Given 2 stars as ive always loved it but for the last 2 times ive had it & the naan being the main reason i have it i wont be eating there again. ☹

Not being here for a few years.thought would try it out again with my freind.mix grill was OK.but the curry was tasteless .left it on the table it was absolutely tasteless.think they need to change their chef.not much atmosphere in there .I think someone said to me they had some kind of violent incident there few years ago and its never being the same.shall not be going there again.

Excellent value and great tasting curries

Pre-booked for x5 people, on arrival was seated outside of the bar and grill area (in fact the table was wobbly and not suitable for dining - when mentioning this to a member of staff - she just laughed in my face). Eventually we got another table in the same area. Although Family friendly. and good variety of drinks, the mixed grill and noodles were pretty standard (nothing special), Butter chicken was actually tasty. Really poor experience and would not recommend, just to top things off I just received a parking fine (i did ask member of staff if parking behind the establish was okay and replied its fine).

I rang in advance to ask if they’d be showing a certain football game, they said they would be, I arrived, 20 minutes after kick off they say they don’t have the channel so won’t be showing it and wouldn’t refund my 2 drinks or offer compensation despite the fact that I had to leave more than half of the drink to go and watch elsewhere. I come here often and always enjoy however have been disappointed today to the point that I wouldn’t return. I called earlier in the day (twice!) to ensure they were showing the game I wanted to watch and I was advised that they would be so I booked a table. At 8pm (kick off) they had not changed the channel so I requested this and they advised they would so I bought 2 pints (one each). I have to ask again for the channel to be changed several times until I am advised that they do not have the channel broadcasting the match. I have missed a lot of the first half at this point and don’t want to miss anymore so decide to leave since they aren’t showing the game I was told they would be. Due to this I had to leave my drink which had over half left, I asked if it was possible to have a refund since I’d only come on the condition they were showing the game and had made an effort to check in advance to prevent this kind of issue and I would not have time to finish the drinks since I would miss even more of the game. They refused to refund 2 pints and also refused to provide any kind of compensation such as a voucher for my next visit. Management also declined to come out to speak to us when I requested, leaving their frontline staff to deal with the problems. Poor management and sad service. I feel sorry for those who work there having to deal with the brunt of issues that can be prevented by management.
