Peking Palace in Wigan

We normally order Chinese from here as the food has always been spot on but tonight it was absolutely disgusting the chips looked like they had been warmed up from last nights leftovers the curry didn’t taste nice, the batter on the king prawn balls didn’t even taste like batter the whole meal was disgusting. It went in the bin and now I’m having to order form somewhere else

The Salt and pepper chicken is my favourite thing at the minute. My go to Chinese take away, never disappoints. 10/10 for food and service as always :)

We ordered here tonight!! i have to say it’s probably one of the worst meals we’ve had. The food was hot that was the only upside, all down hill from there. It was bland, barely edible (other than the rice) and we’ve just chucked it all out, £30 wasted. Would not recommend.

Poor everything, poor service, poor food.. food was slimy watery and lack of flavour, very rude service from start to finish would not recommend felt sick forcing my self to eat it but couldn't face it and ended up throwing in the bin waste of money

The prawn toast made my mum very unwell 🤦🏼‍♀️

Big let down tonight as they forgot my beef in pepper sauce .. by the Time they redelivered it everything else was cold so was a waste of money, not usual standard as it's normally spot on .. if it was my husbands tea I wouldn't have been bothered but it was mine they had forgotten lol 😂

Chicken the driest I’ve ever seen anywhere the rice was clumpy and freezing. Hands down the worst Chinese I’ve ever had. Nearly £40 down just to bin the lot definitely won’t be back anytime soon 🤣

Possibly the best chicken & sweetcorn soup in Wigan, and the portion sizes are amazing :)

Ordered on the website, and arranged to pick up. Was ready in 15 minutes. We got absolutely loads of food- such amazing value for money !! Food was, hot, tasty and we had enough for tea the next night.

Ordered tonight from Peking Palace, and I think the only thing they nailed was the ‘cold’ part—it felt like my dinner had taken a scenic tour of the North Pole before arriving. The chicken was so tough I half-expected it to fight back, and the rice was so stodgy I could have used it to patch a wall. As for flavor, let’s just say the box it came in might have been tastier. If you’re looking for an unforgettable meal, this is unforgettable for all the wrong reasons. One star, but only because zero isn’t an option!

Lovely friendly delivery driver! As for the food. Wow. Can you guys move to Skegness and open up there please. The most incredible sweet and sour sauce I’ve tasted in years. The portion sizes are huge! Order fed 4 of us with loads spare!!! Will remember you for our next visit! Have a Happy new year xx

Food tasty but over 2 hours to deliver wrong items came too late

lovely hot food highly recommend and good customer service as I'd clicked on the wrong meal and only noticed onced I'd paid so phoned them up and they changed the main course free of charge which I thought was nice of them.

top notch food as always. delivered with a friendly courier. the ribs fall off the bone, the fish is as big as your head, the chips are scrumptious and the hot and sour soup is to die for. 10/10

I’m sorry to say that I think I’ve just had the worst Chinese of my life. I was unaware that I ordered soggy shredded beef, mushy fried rice and the world’s blandest salt and pepper chicken. Honestly not one to leave reviews but this was so poor we only ate a few mouthfuls. Even the prawn crackers were stale like they’d been sat on the side since last Thursday. Been absolutely scammed. Diabolical.

food amazing the vermicelli was spot on delivery was a tad late due to traffic but that cant be helpedtdriver was very polite and apologised for being late.

£3.50 delivery fee PLUS £2.49 service fee! Big fat nope! Foods great, but £6 on top of order… absolutely not! I’ll order on their website from now on.

The positives - the Chicken Spring rolls were lovely. The negatives - everything else. The rice had clearly been cooked previously and reheated, meat quality was poor and soups tasteless and watery. I won't be visiting again, sorry!

the sweet and sour sauce was terrible like water and didn't taste sweet as it was watered down .. get sweet sour from a local Chinese chippy and it's mebt to be strong and not water..won't use this Chinese again
