Lucky Star Leigh Chinese Takeaway (Order Online) in Wigan

Absolutely vile bland food, I just spent £43 on food, my five year old usually loves Chinese especially egg fried rice and curry sauce, she tasted the egg fried rice and said it was horrible, I tried it and agreed. My son said the chicken spring rolls had no taste whatsoever, the frozen chips was supposed to be salt and pepper, nothing in the dishes had any taste whatsoever 😐 chips tasted like they was warm ups from hours before, we was all starving and could not eat! Avoid at all costs

Not great food. Tiny portions for what you pay for. Never will i order from here AGAIN

5 star overall as I have eaten from this place multiple times and the food was delivered quickly and it was hot as I have expected. The staff is very nice and helpful. I love the salt&pepper chicken the best one I had.

I get This Chinese every week and every week it tastes amazing the food is hot and freshly made my personel favroute from here are the pork dumplings as well as the chowmein it is easily the best Chinese in Leigh with good portion sizes to so you get more than you pay for essentially

Lately the food has gone down hill. Last night I ordered the ixed appetiser & chicken noodle soup. The Crispy Wontons were burnt, the Prawn toast has no prawns in , the Satay Chucken was tiny & no sauce & the Crispy Seaweed was a tiny tub of a tablespoon of the Seaweed. The soup only had the flavour of black Peper so that was disappointing. Sadly after this let down I won't be ordering from here again.

Ordered from here for a long time. Complained last year as ribs were very fatty. Ordered tonight. Food was cold. Rang them to be told it was cooked 10 mins ago and told I'm always complaining. Wont be ordering again.

Awful food, frozen chips and king prawn batter balls that were tiny cold and soggy. The sweet and sour sauce was just some store bought water mix, the crispy chill beef was cold watery and soggy. Avoid really nasty rubbish

First time ordering from here maybe the last ! Order a chop sui roll but when I cut into it a really bad sour smell came out had to throw away as was disgusting the rest of the food was OK.

This is the WORST takeaway I have ever had in my life!! I usually ignore bad reviews for chinese takeaways because every takeaway has bad reviews but please don’t ignore this! Everything in these photos cost £37!! The portions are tiny, the salt & pepper chicken had about 6 pieces and it was just a breaded fillet cut into slices. The salt & pepper chips were a large and I received a smaller portion than other chinese takeaways smalls. And don’t get me started on the honey garlic chicken, it was DISGUSTING, and why does it look anaemic? I have had so many chinese takeaways in my life and I have always been left so full, however this takeaway had such small portions I was left hungry. And I spent double the amount I would at other takeaways. I am so disgusted that a takeaway could charge such high prices for this, I feel like I have been robbed.

Ordered from Uber eats on bank holiday Monday , I did wait a while for it to arrive to my house But when it came the food was hot and really nice Portion size is massive and highly recommend the satay sauce , delish I will be coming back , thank you!

Would give 0 stars as ordered from here and food never arrived tried to call and no answer after 2 hours of waiting for delivery drove to the restaurant to find it shut not impressed

Bbq spare ribs. walked in and ordered so should be hot .but cold tastless never again special fried rice chewy and salty no not happy

new to leigh so tried this chinese as they had a 10% off online. chips were disgustingly dry, salt and pepper chicken was dry, chicken in oyster sauce was nice however the vegetables were hard, egg fried rice and spring rolls was lovely no complaints there, and we got duck which was mostly just bone, hardly any meat on there but the bit we did have was nice. to say we spent £30+ we wasn’t very happy with the outcome

We fed 4 adults for under £50. The food was good quality with decent vegan options.

Been going here for years, food has always been amazing and fresh. Recently went and was dissapointed by the food. Was not upto the usual standard and lacked in flavour unfortunately.

Got an update on the app and said it’s on it’s way, 1 hour later and still waiting. It’s about 5 mins away from the chinese. Will not be ordering from there again 😡

Sadly this used to be our go to chineese in leigh, however seems to be going downhill, the food is either secondly cooked or over cooked, prices gone up, which it has every where and dont mind paying, however quality gone downhill, on the search for better quality now

I give one because I couldn't leave a review otherwise I won't ever buy again I only wanted a chip barm it was bad chips where ok barm cake was horrid plus no butter the only plus gravy was decent the price shockin and I'm not fussy with food but this wasn't worth the money

Friendly staff and absolutely amazing authentic Chinese food. I'm a repeat customer and don't plan on stopping my custom. I would recommend Lucky Star to anyone who appreciates Chinese/oriental dishes

Authentic Chinese food!!! It’s so super delicious and the portions was really big that I had to finish the food in two meals. Would definitely come back more often!

Poor customer service, rude staff on the phone, no delivery time given and when I called over an hour and half later to cancel they were extremely rude, won't use again

Always used to be fantastic. Was my local chinese for around 3/4 years, even worked for them as a driver for a bit when they were struggling for drivers. Then one meal we found numerous hairs in our food. Tried to go back once more but couldn't enjoy the meal as we were looking for hairs throughout. Will never be returning.

Delivered within the time stated, great communication, as I left notes to cook my food well done and to chop the meat smaller in the chow mein as I find it locks in more flavour, which it was delish and the salt and pepper chicken was tasty, and the Banana fritters were the icing on the cake. And thank you for the fortune cookie when i asked for one, always the finishing touches that tops it off as well as free crackers 10 out of 10 for me. Would recommend

We were really looking forward to a nice Chinese tonight. Treating my mother but this was shocking food and very expensive I wouldn't have minded the price if the quality was good. We ordered duck and what we actually got was fat bones and the tiniest amount of duck. The soups where bland even the prawn crackers were stale the best part of my meal was the free gift for spending over so much the salt and pepper ribs.

Great food, one of the best Chinese takeaways in Leigh.

There is not many good Chinese places around with a high food safety rating. Lucky Star has 4 stars out of 5 which makes it a safe place to eat. Majority of places you will find on Just-Eat are rated 3 stars by Wigan council. I would never touch any food from a place that is rated below 4; Very glad we found Lucky Star where we can eat with confidence. The food is lovely. I love the vast selection of not only Chinese but also Thai. The Thai chicken roll is great, so are the curries and dumpling. We are mostly happy with everything. The only thing I would improve is the Won Ton soup. I love how it has a lot of vegetable in it like cabbage, carrot etc, however I would add spring onion and improve the flavour and consistency a bit. Its still a good soup and the dumplings are some of the best I had from a takeaway in a long time but the broth needs a bit improvement. Lucy Star is a great place to eat with safe and tasty food that is always consistent.

Disgusting! Frozen everything even the chips! Can’t even put into words the rubbery texture and vile taste of the salt and pepper chicken! I went to refund it to be victimised and my food taken away with refunding me only half of my payment so Iv basically been robbed!
